I wish i was stranded on an island so i didn't have to deal with taxes. it seems like they're a bigger headache every year.
maybe all of the survivors owed back taxes and that's why they're not "good" people, and smokey is an IRS agent. That's how the Other got so much information about them.
Hey guys. I need some advice. Especially from the lawyers in the audience.
Let me explain the story first. Remember a couple months ago when those Aqua Teen Hunger Force signs from the cartoon network show caused the Boston bomb scare? Well anyway, about a week before that I found one of those signs on the side of the building that I work at. I knew what it was and thought it was funny, so I took it. After the Boston deal, I tried to sell it on ebay. My auction was up to $1,000 with 4 days to go and then ebay took it down. They contacted me claiming that the Cartoon Network and it's parent company Time Warner claimed that me selling it violated intellectual property rights. Which to me was a bunch of crap. They were just trying to snuff out the story in the news. Whatever. So I didn't sell it. I ended up giving it to a friend as a gift for his birthday. Now, months later I have received certified letters in the mail from some law office in downtown Seattle. The letter states that they are aware that I came into possession of it and tried to sell it. They are asking that I return it to them. I ignored the first letter and now have received a second one, which states that if I don't resond in 7 days, they will take further action. I'm trying to figure out what I should do. I don't see exactly what they have on me or what they can really do. Would it be best to just continue to ignore them? Or to call them and say, "Hey, I don't got it. Leave me alone."? This is suck crap. They were ultimately responsible for the vandalizing of my work, yet I am somehow in the wrong? This is so annoying.
