Picking up on the last thread:

Heroes related Spoiler/Theory stuff...

I think Isaac's clue for the other heroes is in the final copy of "9th Wonders". He told Sylar that the paintings were no longer there. They made a big deal about that messenger picking up the envelope with the comic book in it at the beginning of the episode.

Also, according to the Graphic Novels on the NBC site, Linderman can only heal. No resurrecting of the dead. There is an entire story line of him as a young soldier int the Vietnam war.

Just my thoughts -

Sweet. Reposting what I made for the next Charlie episode, whenever that is.

Nate, good call. That meaningless exchange now has meaning.

Aw, wouldn't a RIP Chuck have worked just as well? :(

Kim and Aimee, I am unable to access your show until tonight, but I look forward to it.

PalmerEldritch said...

ok, kim and aimee...

i'm off to race home to sync the ipod during my lunch break. but... is there a good reason for all the Phil Collins?!

well... i trust kim so i'm sure she has a reason.

Kim, you are a Sawyer copycat!

MB, there's a new Kristen up at E! that supposedly has a big spoiler. I'm not looking though.

On the topic of mixed tapes- A podcast I listen to, Music iQuiz, is doing this new thing that sounds like may go over well here.
Swapping mixed CDs. What do you guys think? Downloading TLI now. Will listen after my nap.

I saw that spoiler, and it is pretty big and ... interesting. Some theorists are going to be happy if it's true. What I really thought was funny, though, was that, immediately after she spills a Lost spoiler, someone asked for the goods on Law and Order: SVU. Like, isn't that basically the same thing every week? What's there to spoil? "There's going to be a crime, someone will be arrested, and they'll go to trial for a verdict. All in 60 minutes!"

PalmerEldritch said...

ah! the mix tape. very good, kim. you are forgiven for all of the Phil Collins.

Great podcast girls.

Great catch on Charlie being in Desmonds flashes befor his eyes

The marry, boff kill segment was hilarious!

I would have had this episode up earlier, but I was in Heroes mode last night.

Steph (looking back to the last thread) you and I have the same TV crushes...add Michael Weatherly from NCIS and we're in business.

Guys, seriously, Aimee and I tried to make this week a shorter episode, but somehow it's almost 1:30--again! LOL...we're girls :P

Jordan said...

Looking forward to listening. Gotta do a couple things first.

Heroes was very interesting last night. It now seems as if Linderman wants the explosion to happen. The question now is does he want it to happen for good or bad reasons? We've always been led to believe that Linderman was evil. But once we met him, he has come off somewhat decent. But is that all just a big charade? Have we gone from trying to save New York to trying to blow it up?

memphish said...

MB's Mac is Jacob. TLI bringing you solutions to all your LOST questions.

Good podcast ladies and MB who I only listened to until he thanked me.

Great podcast. Flann O'Brien wrote "The Third Policeman" though. Flannery O'Conner meanwhile, was a woman, and she wrote "Wise Blood."

mb said...

From a Genesis (ALL eras) and Phil Collins FREAK - SWEET on the music Kim!!! Thank ya!

mb said...

Re: my mac (being Jacob) - please do not entertain his delusions of grandeur. He's getting out of hand. May have to re-initialize his drive or something, just to keep him from getting a complex.

PalmerEldritch said...

Yeah... Linderman reads too many comics. Darn copycat. I wonder if Alan Moore will be pissed off at the HEROES writers? Anyhow, yeah, dude wants to blow up NYC to unite humanity and get us over our petty squabbles.

aimee is lost said...

My bad. I got the names mixed up. Thanks for the clarification though. There are still several of the actual book titles that make cameos in the novel. :)

aimee is lost said...

Palmer, it's the same "greater good" philosophy that people like Locke, Ben, Jacob, Hanso, Dharma, and all of the crazy Lost folks live by.

PalmerEldritch said...

ooooh! bringing it back to LOST, aimee. nice.

almost half an hour into TLI but everyone at work takes my earphones being in my ears as a signal that i desperately need extremely trivial conversation at all times.

argh...

aimee is lost said...

When I have earphones on, people around the office take that as a sign that I have a giant "you're not important enough for my attention" stamped across my forehead. Which it is.

memphish said...

Linderman was going all Thomas Werner Mittlewerk and his Sri Lanka video last night. TWM was willing to sacrifice 30%. .07% looks good in comparison.

Holli

aimee is lost said...

That would be like saying blowing up the WTC would be okay because it would unite people against terrorism. That's just stupid.

PalmerEldritch said...

Aimee, be careful. Don't make Linderman send Jessica after you.

aimee is lost said...

And Sylar paints like a 4 year old compared to Isaac.

aimee is lost said...

Yeah, like I'm afraid of Jessica. I've got my own secret superpowers, thank you very much.

PalmerEldritch said...

aimee, i've already forgotten your superhero name and powers. what a bad fan. :(

aimee is lost said...

That identity was just a decoy. I cannot reveal the true nature of my actual real but totally secret one.

Anonymous said...

Did you know that Sylar's painting had an even green gremlin feel to them?? lol...

...ok, just me?

Anonymous said...

oops...

know = notice

aimee is lost said...

I was too busy grieving over Isaac to notice anything other than Sylar's sucky painting ability. He must have eaten some of his brains that still had a little bit of heroin left in it.

You may say this is a Lost-related physics question. Does glass expand when heated and condense when cooled? If it's cooled too quickly, it implodes? I can't decide if I had glass explode or implode all over my kitchen last night.

Anonymous said...

Stephanie... Glass, and most other materials expand when heated, and contract when cooled. So long as the whole object heats or cools uniformly. (ask.com)

Aimee... I don't think Isaac is dead. He'll be back.

PalmerEldritch said...

Stephanie, glass can definitely shatter from being heated and cooled too rapidly. At least in my world it can. I'm sure that there's a MacGyver episode about it.

Benjamin said...

It's called thermal shock, and I live in constant fear of it.

So I went and did a two-for-one at the cineplex yesterday. Saw Aqua Teen (even though the bastards at time warner can kiss my ass) and Blades of Glory. Yeah, I'm a bit late on these. Kinda "eh" on both. Both were funny, but nothing amazing. Aqua Teen was just an extra long version of the tv show. Which is fine, but I was expecting more. Blades was funny. But like everybody here said when it came out, it's the same old Will Ferrell movie just this time on ice. Hated Jon Heder. He sucked the funny in almost every scene he was in. I really hope producers stop putting him in movies because they think people will go, "hey, that movie has napoleon dynamite in it!" Loved Will Arnett and Amy Poehler. They saved the movie as far as I'm concerned. And speaking of tv crushes, my crush on Pam Beasley intensified from this movie. Jenna Fischer is such a cutie.

mb said...

OMG!!! ROTF LMAO!!! HOLY SHIT!!! NO NO NO - IT WASN"T ME!!! I AM NOT MORGAN FROM SILVERADO, CA!!! Nor have I ever met Mayes in North Carolina!

LM-f'ing-AO (again) - Kim, in my email back to your question "Are you joking!?!" - I said YES - I meant I WAS joking and was just being a smartass in my "I DID IT" email.

Shit - now I'm lucky if you guys believe me. LOL - I totally did not mean to mislead you. I just thought it was funny last week when you guys were joking that I was calling (and getting friends to call) - so my "I DID IT" EMAIL was a joke. But I did not call as Morgan nor did I get anyone to call in to compliment me.

I was out of the office on an errand when I heard you say it Kim and I was like O-MY F-ING GOD (and laughing), so I have been RACING to get back to a computer so I could post this.

Wow - I don't think I have ever unintentionally fooled someone like that. I'm so sorry that my second email was not clear.

Stephanie said...

Jordan, you should have paid for another movie but watched Aqua Teen as not to aid in the financing of litigation against yourself.

Robert said...

I feel like a star as a highly edited version of an e-mail I sent Kim and Aimee actually made the podcast. My wife designed and built a room for an edition of Extreme Makeover, but being mentioned on TLI trumps her completely. Thanks for the shout out.

Anonymous said...

what up blogspotica,
i'm gonna get to TLI on the commute home from work. I'm guessing there isn't much discussion about "Catch 22," seems like the consensus was that it was okay but it didn't raise too many points of interest.

Sopranos was similar this week, decent character episode but not begging many questions.

PS. Ben - she's dating the head vampire!!

andrew.

Stephanie said...

Girls, you were hilarious. As always!

elias said...

I haven't seen Heroes yet but I feel like I have :)

joking peeps, I only hate Lost spoilers (sorry MB - I do listen, just one week late).

mb said...

Man - I think I posted my above apology too late - now Aimee and/or Kim have probably gone home for the day and aren't going to read this until tomorrow. LOL.

Cannot wait to hear if the Dharmalars will respond to their very own personalized Marry/Bang/Kill game.
Although - K&A - you're going to get me killed. When you threw down the gauntlet to Ralph and Ben and said they should do a reverse version on YOU guys - perhaps you should make clear that they are not allowed to include me in their decision - of course I'm dead - how easy is that for them (LOL).

Jimmy said...

It's nice to know that I don't get killed :)

I happily accept the proposal Kimberly....it'll be 3rd time the charm!!!!!

elias said...

Yeah Jimmy - you did well in that MBK . Looking forward to the midweek podcast.

Anonymous said...

MB... I don't know who to believe anymore :*(

Jimmy said...

It seems I'm having better luck with MBK than in putting a show together. It's coming, I'm sure of it :)

Sir William Osler, MD said...

Kim, I can feel the emotion in that tear face.

Very powerful.

mb said...

LOL Kim

I swear - I did not call as Morgan (or get anyone to call, like Mayes). I leave the con-man act to better people. I wish I had that kind of con-man talent and creativity.

mb said...

P.S. very happy your power finally came back on BTW Kim

Jordan said...

Listening as I type this. Good stuff girls. I can't help but laugh when Kim annoys herself in how drawn into the skater/jater stuff she gets. hahaha.

elias said...

MB - we're now in a wilderness of mirrors. The real caller must reveal himself forthwith :)

Just finished Heroes and it was compelling. Future Hiro is always a good thing. Or maybe not.

memphish said...

Future Hiro has access to hair care products at least. Be sure to check out my new Salon Hatch avatar.

Holli

PalmerEldritch said...

Future Hiro is pretty badass but will he cease to exist if Present Hiro can get back to the present to save the future next week?

Ack! That hurt my brain a little.

Yeah, Heroes was just half an hour of saying "Glass shard. Glass shard in his head. Pull the glass shard out of his head. Glass shard, damnit!" but it was still fun. Linderman is one ugly dude but you've got to love that weird convoluted geometric beard of badassery.

PalmerEldritch said...

oh, yeah. the reason i came here to post... just finished listening to Jay and Jack and they had a really nice endorsement of TLI and Kim and Aimee. and Rolph got a mention too. nothing about Jimmy or Ben though. sorry, guys.

speaking of Jay and Jack, i like their podcast but am i the only one who skips over the listener feedback? :\

Jordan said...

No, you aren't the only one Palmer.

PalmerEldritch said...

phew! nice to know i'm not the only calloused jerk. :)

i definitely listen to the Dharmalars and TLI all the way through.

drunk calls + blogspotters = my kind of listener calls

Jordan said...

Agreed. You gotta love 3 am drunk calls from guys in Missouri.

Stephanie said...

Whew! I was feeling a little guilty about considering skipping the listener calls on JandJ. I doubt I ever will. I'm kinda OCD when it comes to following through on things; like reading every post here.
Kim and Aimee, I can understand the podcast only getting two calls this week. There wasn't much to comment on. Aimee, I see your point about Kate maybe giving up on coconut head. It's a possibility although I didn't think about it while viewing. We'll see tomorrow night, maybe.
Golden Girls could be the funniest sitcom ever on tv.
Palmer, Ben's hot! That's the reason he's constantly worried about thermal shock.

Jordan said...

Nothing against the J&J callers. It's just that I get all the theorizing and speculating I need here. Listening to J&J's callers repeat what everybody here said the day before gets boring. Not to mention not nearly as funny.

memphish said...

I go back and forth on the J&J Callers. But like Steph, I'm too OCD to skip and I like the back and forth it spurs between J&J. I have to say I prefer the Thursday to the Monday show though. It also depends on the episode. After One of Us, I heard some things I hadn't heard of from J&J's callers. Today, not so much, but TLTOTW is good.

But TLI, they make me laugh. Dharamalars too. That's what makes the difference. LOST and laughter are a great combination.

I definitely vote yes for an Office podcast.

This one is even better. JJ drops the f-bomb! Wait! What? JJ? When the hell is this?

PalmerEldritch said...

wow. Sawyer there looks even more like Kid Rock than normal. nice fedora, inspector gadget.

and i liked the first video too. although, i was a bit apprehensive about clicking it since there was no description besides the post number.

Anonymous said...

I'd like to skip over J&J's Listener Feedback, but I also want to hear what J&J have to say, and think it would be a pain in the butt to try and skip the listeners to get to the little bits of J&J in between. So I listen to the whole thing.

Anonymous said...

I listen to J&J on Thursdays. All killer, no filler.

However, I did listen to the very kind shoutout, and now I'm nervous!

mb said...

Nervous - of fame?
You were born for it Kim!

mb said...

RE: J&J - I go back and forth on listening to the callers on Monday. Its a mixed bag - sometimes they will play a number of calls that have good theorizing/observation, and other times there will be a batch that just don't really say much of anything. But I do generally tune in to hear J&J spar on various topics.

Benjamin said...

Well, I just heard the show. Aimee, you're sweet. ; )

Kim...this will end badly one day. You and I facing off on in a drainage culvert, a dangerous drop-off behind me, a gun in your hand. I say, "I don't really hate Canadians." To which you reply, "I don't care."

Just getting to the Catch-22 book review now. Looking forward to hearing what Aimee has to say, and if the batshit craziness settled down for her.

aimee is lost said...

What can I say, I dig Bens. Sorry Ralph, but like I said, you got to bang Kim. Jimmy and the sexy accent made out well - even though I don't dig talking.
