The Dharmalars: The Constant

The Dharmalars are a little speechless this week. They try to discuss The Constant, but are too stunned by the episode to come up with any brain busting theories. Jimmy is out this week so Ralph decides to give his own interpretation of the Lost Score and The Dharmaline gets flooded with awesomeness!!!

Did we mention Karaoke?!

Third is CLEARLY the one with the hairy chest.

it's 7:58am here, just woked up and here is Dharmalars. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that they think this episode was rather good.

Oh, and did I mention KABLAMO!?

New avatar time. I didn't bother with one for Eggtown.

Did the special feature come in, or should we look forward to 2 midweek shows?

It must not have. I get the sense that ralph- was expecting a new opening. Maybe.

I hate work.

rrb, new polar bear pic.

so, the new Dharmalars comes out and i don't have time to download it before work. that stinks. i'll have to come up with an excuse to spend an hour and a half glued to my laptop listening to the MP3 file instead of moving around the room doing my actual job. hmm...

Rrb said...

Palmer I was going to take the week off..Blog overdose dont want to annoy:) I annoy my self..But the beer one over and I listened to the "OFFICIAL LOST PODCAST"... Bullocks but it is fucin funny. I'd put others for the official but thats my opion.
So I said I'll just go read and see if any one had any thoughts about the speed reading Cusaloff and here I see a pic of a new Bear I could not help but to Reply.
What the hell Knut? I think he's mad from his algy killin bath of bleach and peroxide ? (But it's a mild soultion mixed with H2O:) for the park and the bear..FREE THE KNUT! as long as it's a good family with strong values a good health plan and ofcorse plenty of ICE! From what i can tell may be harder to come bye....Maybe he should stay at the Zoo ?

memphish said...

Knut will always be #1 in my heart.

Ralph, good music segment. Question -- are the Dharmaline calls in chronological or reverse chronological or no order?

still havent had a chance to listen to Benjamin and Ralphamin. :(

That's a very emotional call from Dre on the Dharmaline.

I'm quite moved.

15 = Kablamo!

Chris JC said...

16 is ALSO Kablamo!

memphish said...

That's why I asked about the Dharmaline Chris. Dre's calls seemed to be in reverse order, but somewhere in the middle of them there was a call that I think referenced The Constant.

Elias, how's your karaoke coming?

Holli

memphish said...

And RRB, thanks for the blog shoutout.

Holli

Chris JC said...

Elias is doing one, too? Smooth!

It's all guys doing singing parts so far. Come on, ladies, wrap your throats around some parts for our pleasure.

Stephanie said...

I am excused from karaoke on the fact that I have Vista.

[ally] said...

"Come on, ladies, wrap your throats around some parts for our pleasure."

it's a twss kinda day...

elias said...

The karaoke this week was so so funny but I don't see myself contributing. My singing voice sounds (unintentionally) like a South Park character.

Dawn's (is that her name?) call was the highlight of the Dharmaline again although Dre's emotional call ran it pretty close.

Ha'way The Lars!

The new TV Guide, March 10-16 has an article about LOST that reportedly contains a giant spoiler in the 2nd paragraph. So MB, go get that thing and everyone else avoid like the plague.

Holli

Yeah. I totally agree Holli. She didn't mix in too well. Didn't help that SNL was pretty lame either.

that guy needs to quit insulting people and just move on. what does he think balph is gonna do? get rid of ryan for him?

i'll say it again, that guy is a douche!!!

mb said...

That was my thought as well Ally - does the guy really think Balph is going to get rid of their (and our) friend? Ugh - ok I promise - I'm done.

Another freakin HILARIOUS listener karaoke. OMG...I really enjoy the hell out of those. Is it just me? I think I need to start bringin a fresh pair with me when I listen to it on the way to work. And then I walk around laughing out of the blue for awhile afterwards and all coworkers think I'm insane.

Jordan said...

Palmer, IGN also gave it a 5.5. From what I hear, it's fun and interesting for the die hard Lost fan. But it's only like a 4 or 5 hour play. And after that, nothing at all. I'm thinking about waiting to buy it used at Gamestop. That way I can finish it in a week and return it for a full refund.

mb said...

it is NOT just you smkgirl - I routinely struggle to muffle my laughter when listening at work

and I agree - Steve's Kareoke was a good-un

Jordan -
It's this guy - Eddie from LA - who called in a week or two ago saying how much he hated Producer Ryan's laugh and that Balph should get rid of him (and called Ryan gay or something). And he called back for this show, now with his "solution" to the "problem" saying that they should "gag" Ryan and the show will be better.

(no rant - just description - i promised)

PastPablo said...

great ep. as usual fellas.

What's the default on that list. I hate soccer and every idea of it! What does that make me? Oh wait, that probably makes me a redneck.

Holli

Jordan said...

According to the Juno entry, I am very non-white. lol.

Trevor, I take it you got that from Bill Simmons' latest article. I stumbled upon that myself last night. Sent Kimbo the one about moving to Canada. Funny cuz it's true.

mb said...

Okay so my whiteness rating is 55

PLUS - #22 (Having Two Last Names) directly applies to me (although I took on the 2 names by choice b4 saddling my children with it as well - so at least I can deny being hypocritical ;) ).

Here's to hoping school-sports uniform makers don't charge us per letter for printing the Ace and Deuce's names in upcoming years - lol.

(i.e. looks the same rotated 180˚)

Oops - reading that wikipedia entry more closely, it would actually more specifically be a ROTATIONAL ambigram

cause you all wanted to know that - admit it! ;)

Good question Steph. Ladies?

I saw Vantage Point today. I liked it. Editorially there were a few things in the first half of the movie that I would have done a little differently, but overall it was a fun outing with jumps and thrills and overlookable plot weaknesses.

Holli

PalmerEldritch said...

holli, nice to hear that it's entertaining. i'll stick that in my queue.

speaking of movies, did anyone else see ads for The Signal and/or Doomsday and just assume that they were SciFi Originals? oops.

Jordan said...

Holli, You and I can no longer be friends. I absolutely HATED Vantage Point. I saw it this past weekend (snuck in after 'Be Kind Rewind') and thought it was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen. The crowd was laughing when laughter wasn't the intent. And everytime it rewound to 12:00, the crowd moaned and groaned. lol. I didn't want to say anything as I know so many here adore Matty Fox.

For those of you who are curious, Aimberley recorded last night. I think Kimbo said that it will be up tomorrow. Slackers.

Jordan said...

But don't quote me on that. Last thing I need is the wrath of Canada. :P

Stephanie said...

Jordan. I'm expecting your review of Be Kind, Rewind in my inbox soon.

Unknown said...

I like about 35 of the 80 things on the white list. I'm including the 2 last names one because my parents game me 2 middle names. My initials are BDSD.

I saw Semi-pro this weekend and I didn't like it as much as Telladega Nights or Anchorman. I thought Will Arnett was a big positive in the movie (Jive Turkey).

However, there was a preview of a movie this summer that will be a must see for me. Will Ferrell teams up with John C Reilly in a movie called Stepbrothers. Will Ferrell's character name is...Brennan!

memphish said...

Jordan, you just have to have fun at the movie sometimes. I laughed my ass off at how corny it was too, but that worked for me. And the first 1/2 resets were the main thing I would fix. But then the whole movie would have been about 45 minutes which wouldn't really have been a bad thing.

Palmer, I think this may be one of those movies that works better at the theater than on the small screen. It's definitely more about it's "style" than substance. I'd put it in the same category as 3:10 To Yuma which I recently watched at home and didn't like. I think I would have liked it better on the big screen with the scenery and hopefully the ability to hear WTF Russell Crowe was mumbling.

Holli

DenAss said...

Vantage Point:

Sorry Jordan, but I've got to agree with Holli. I too saw that this weekend, and actually kind of liked it.

Funny thing though was that where I saw the "film" (yea, I'm white too), there were a bunch of people that would laugh and cheer when the "rewind" sections happened. Really annoying.

I can't say that I'd recommend spending $9 on it though. It would be just as effective as a rental.

Thanks for reposting the "Bluestone" episode. I haven't listened to that in a LONG time. And you know what else I haven't listened to in a long time? Ricky Gervais. Does he even still have a podcast? Sorry if that's a stupid question.
