March 15, 2008: twork
When a girl shakes her butt against another girl or a man, pressing frimly.
Hey look at dat hoochie moma twork it
Palmer I'm done with the Lost game can't say I'm overly impressed. Let me know if you play it, I'm curious for another lost fans funny thoughts most of my problems revolve around Locke and the stupid previously on lost.
I don't really care much for the prev. on Lost in the show in the game it's like a knife being twisted in your back.
Or any one else for that matter who wants to pick on it with me throw some thoughts out there it's probly been out long enough to start spoilin?
7:09 AM
No Country For Old Men- the best movie of last year? Really?
Really?
Really?
Steph I watched 3\4's and stopped, An went to bed, I was tierd. Nothing to do with the movie. I was kinda mad to stop it but I was fallin asleep(passin out).
So the next day I kinda forgot it, the day after that I did'nt feel like it, The next day I put it in and, started typin on the blog as it was going through the opening warnings, and found my self more entertained here then watching the movie I went to the trouble to re Queue...ha So I guess I should go finish it. I'm curious about the end but..It's not that important, The way I think I feel about this fil No Country For Old Men. It's not THAT Important...RRB and Ebert is he the one whos dead?
I just read the last part..thats kinda tacky, What a weird word tacky, thats tacky..strange..hmmm
rrb, yeah. I was expecting to be blown away but wasn't. Just like Michael Clayton. Didn't care for that one either.
I have 24 questions so far for Aimee and Kimberley. Should that be enough?
do i look like Jacob in this pic? ----->
maybe
Is it time for the live podcast?
blamo!
posting from an iPhone in an Apple store bitches
Unfortunately I'm not buying. :(
Dear blog,
Saw this, and thought of you.
How many five year olds could you take in a fight?
Oh, this too.
I see that Dre has set the dangerous precedent of sending in more than one entry to the karaoke.
I have one thing to say to that:
Be afraid.
18.
I could take 18 five years old in a fight.
do i know this from taking the quiz or experience?
I could take on 14.
Vantage Point: I heard a Q&A with the screenwriter. Reading between the lines, I take it that the interviewer read the original script years ago and admired it greatly. But the movie, he seemed to mock. Sounds like the studio dumbed it down and made Dennis Quaid the big star focus point, pushing Forrest Whitaker's story back. Hollywood studio executives suck big, fat wieners.
- it's my birthday but i'm forced to order food in because it's also de facto St. Patrick's Day and the supid quotient is off the charts outside.
- i got the Lost video game but i can't play it because i can't update my video drivers. despite all of the lackluster reviews, i'm excited about hanging out in the Swan station.
- i liked No Country For Old Men but i didn't love it. The story & themes are kind of old hat but i liked the pace and the acting.
- i hated Michael Clayton.
- i'm working on my top films of 2007 entry for my blog, both of those movies are mentioned, but i'm turning out to be very slow at writing blog entries.
- i wanted to listen to the Jay & Jack marathon but it's a lot of commitment. i think i'll have to resort to downloading the segments later.
- so is there a new episode of Lost this coming Thursday or are we on hiatus? Should i expect a Dharmalars or Lars episode?
That call to the Dharmaline cost me somewhere between five and six dollars.
So that was clearly money well spent (!)
Sorry to all for that glitchy, unintelligible mess.
26 5 year olds in a fight. But I question this quiz's accuracy. The most I've ever even tried to best is 7. And that was TOUGH! Especially in a bounce house as we were.
I tried listening to the live podcast. Technical glitches forced us to move channels. I suppose we crashed it with so many folks online at once. Jorge was fascinating as always.
I could kick 17 5 yr olds, It helped to picture them as the gang of kids in Hostel.
Steph I listened to the Movies you should see on The Prestige, that had so many layers they were forgeting charecters. lol
And I was thinkin they thought Pulp Fiction was deep..
Andrew the Swan was Station was cool to chill in for the short period of time your there, wich is now that I think about it half the game. I think it would of been cooler if you could have change some events like dig up nikki and Palo or see whats behind the fake door in the mountai..Or all the other crazy ideas I would find fun..I have some big Problems with the ending...
rrb, I listened on the way to work today. I didn't care much for The Prestige except for David Bowie. He knocked my socks off!
Steph I have alot of thoughts on the podcast in question but as, I type I realise it's not the time.
I think there funny and not to be takin Seroius. If your bored one day I'd say find a movie you like and cheack out there thoughts You will be surprised maybe you'll here Barkly????
I thought the Prestige had some of the BEST twists i've seen in a movie.
But all the other stuff is in question .It's been abit since I viewed it. And knowing myself.
I probly had a few..So? I know I liked it, and I did'nt stop half way through to go to bed so thats a good sign..I like not knowing whats coming next(LOST) so I'd say this was a good movie for being surprised..
*Drunk BLoG*
Sorry but no treally sorry
I hate doin this but bordum takes over and I start typin wilse Drinking.
I enjoyed the thought that the Dharmalars listeners are the drunkest..We may be I'm certainly helping this cause greatly...I wa sthinking of doing a call? But how can you top a six dollar call( A SIX DOLLAR SHAKE)You get dre on the line and say hey dre I was sad your vocals werent on the top, insted of the bottom, backup aint your style you lead brotha...Ally your lackin on TWSS, Palmer , You were called out to sing from brotha BEN canyou make a Three ET with Amberly happen we've yet to be blessed with some Female Pipes? Maybe they need a Kevin Costner to there Whitney? A wind beneath there wings posably?
Alright topic change lets talk Saint Patties Day How is the BLOG GOING TO celebrATE Is there drinkin involved?.....I got to go cheack on dinner hold on,
I'm back..some how dinner involves drunk calls to the dharma lime?
It's hard Dre's the man..
I started reading said above post and found it to long .. to finish
St Patrick's Day isn't celebrated at my house. Not that I'm anti or anything.
I could take 20 5-year olds in a fight. By turning off my moral compass, I could increase it to 24.
I don't know, I think that I could do a little better than that. I think that the trick would be to use one kid as a weapon and use him to take out large chunks of the other kids, either by swinging him around or by throwing him into the other kids. You could probably take out half a dozen kids just by chucking one into the group. Yeah, ok, I'll stop now.
Watched 'No Country' last night. I liked it, but was definitely a little bit let down by it. I'm not sure if it was because I had high expectations because of the awards, or if because I read the book, I knew exactly what was coming (it's a very faithful adaptation). I was even a little bored, and not just during the last 20 minutes or so. I watched Michael Clayton last weekend, though, and thought it was fantastic and incredibly gripping. I'd rank it much higher than NCfOM on my list.

Trevor,
Your avatar is exactly who I thought of who I heard the name Kevin Johnson. I hated that bitch. The basketball player, not Michael. lol. Back during the mid 90's when the Sonics and Suns had a good rivalry, we used to refer to him as the desert princess for how he whined to the refs all the time.
I have a new theory about the coffin. I just watched the finale from last season again, and the first person they show after the coffin scene is Danielle. Foreshadowing maybe. Anyway, it's different than what's been out there. I thought I'd pass it along. What do you guys think?
Hello. This post is likeable, and your blog is very interesting, congratulations :-). I will add in my blogroll =). If possible gives a last there on my blog, it is about the Webcam, I hope you enjoy. The address is http://webcam-brasil.blogspot.com. A hug.

Welcome to the blogspot, random spam post. A hug.
p.s. make sure to watch the video.
Ralph:
I found myself awoken by my toddler just in time for the advertised beginning of your segment (5:30 AM EDT) on the LIVE podcast. Once you showed up things got going again. It felt as though your segment woke them up.
I was thoroughly entertained, especially by the flatulence :-)
too bad the whole podcast ended so suddenly... I blame Cliff, of course...
*Happy Saint Patties Day !
The green beer:)
I would love to buy a Dharma Lager at my local Packy, Urben Dick for booze store.
Top o' the mornin' to you, blogspotters.
Happy St. "Let's Get Drunk" Patrick's Day!
Happy (possibly belated) Birthday, Andrew!
/I could take 22 five-year-olds in a fight.
//Did anyone else think it was Ralph and Ben, behind those masks?
///You stay classy, San Diego.
Did you know that, while St. Paddy's Day is usually March 17th, it's not permitted for a Saint's day to fall in Holy Week, as it is right now.
Does that mean there isn't a St. Patrick's Day this year? Of course not - it only means that you've missed it: they already had it on Saturday.
Check it out!
Additional fun:
Fans of A Very Special MYOKOM w/ SAS may be very amused by what I saw advertised on television a few days ago.
Might possibly misrepresent itself
Happy St. Patty's Day. I hope everyone is wearing green and drinking beer. As it is not quite 11 am I am 1 for 2 in those things right now. I'll let you guess which.
Since I missed the LOST thread I'll chime in a bit here. I hope we don't get anymore mixed flash episodes. I feel like it was a cheat. The cell phone was a big clue that was what was going on, but I still kept trying to force Jin's story into him being Ben's newest hitman and pulling a gun out of the panda. I was also fearful the baby was going to be Michael's. Thankfully that scare is now over.
I'm also glad the Michael reveal was not the end. Good call on that being anti-climactic at this point and not sticking it at the end.
Here's something I can't figure out -- how does Kate who was not visibly pregnant on 815 have an at least 2 month old and Sun also not visibly pregnant not give birth until at least 5 months after she leaves the Island?
I stuck some polls about the episode up on my blog. Stop by and vote. For the record, I think Jin is alive on Island and the O6 know it, but that the deal was they leave and never return and those left behind can never leave the Island. I also think Ben not Widmore staged the fake 815, though I could buy the reverse.
Trevor, I tried to join the b-ball thing. Is the bracket up yet?
Holli
For everyone doing the March Madness bracket, I asked my anti-sports girlfriend to choose for me.
I figured if TSN can accurately predict hockey playoffs with a monkey spinning a wheel, the mother of my child can't do any worse.
Anyone else suing some form of random selection procedure.
I've actually been celebrating Paddy's Day since Friday, I took yesterday off, because I'll be celebrating it tonight, even though it's officially unoficially today.
To cover all the bases, I've been wearing green all weekend. To be extra festive I got myself a button to wear which says Luck Off.
Creepy Mario.
hey, quick Canadian accent related quiz, do you say the "Mar" in Super Mario like "Far" or "Air"?
I'm wearing a ragged American Cancer Society t-shirt from 2003. It's the only thing green I own.
Holli, I hope you had a nice Spring Break. Nice weather? Our's is this week. It's wonderful just having a week off from fixing a lunch.
I heard a good theory on the Live Podcast this weekend. Someone said they think Claire dies soon and Hurley takes Aaron across the island to Kate. That's how he, Kate and the baby end up off the island.
Ooohh. What if Claire goes to talk with Miles and he kills her. Perhaps accidentally but the survivors don't see it that way.
I think there was supposed to be a question mark in the previous post.
maybe Claire says "Oh, Miles. Let me take that grenade out of your mouth. Oh."
EXPLOSION'D!!!!
oh snap! she gets doc artz'd.
i still can't get over the fact that he blew up.
far
Over here in the future, I tend to find that we realise it SHOULD be pronounced to rhyme with "Far" but actually use a clipped version. I can't think of a decemt rhyme, but phonetically it would be the word "Marry" followed by "O"
"Marry-O"
Oddly this rhymes with Wario.
I don't think anyone says "Wahrio"
where is everyone at? drinking at the nearest bar?
I was going to make the joke during the 9:20 - 10:30 lull that people are already passed out perhaps - lol
"I don't think anyone says "Wahrio"
No. I think it is said that way in the usa.
If I may chime in on the movie talk here,
Michael Clayton: Great movie, I'm becoming a big Tilda Swinton fan. Tom Wilkinson was great as usual.
No Country For Old Men: I try not to give too much creedence to what the critics and award shows say about movies, so I went into this film completely unbiased. Watched it last tuesday. Good fucking movie point blank, period. I was gripped every time that Antoine opened his mouth to speak, or if he just sat there. that dude is awesome!
There Will be Blood: Out of these three I liked this film the least, but still a great film. Score was unbelievable. Daniel day is amazing. good story telling.
laters!
i listened to the 3 segments of the Jay & Jack live marathon available on talkshoe & iTunes, including the 4 hours with Ralph. Are the other segments, like the one with Jorge, available anywhere?
The top 20 stupid Patrick Swayze faces from the movie Ghost
UKers (and anglophiles), i watched the last five minutes of "My Family" while waiting for Coupling to come on this afternoon/evening. yes, the original Coupling. don't worry.
anyhow, i couldn't help but notice that "My Family," despite having Cassandra from Doctor Who and Robert Lindsay from the Horatio Hornblower movies, made me want to blow my fucking head off.
is "My Family" at all entertaining or is it the UK equivalent of a US network sitcom such as Two and A Half Men, According to Jim, or any other horrible sitcom that makes me want to take a cheese grater to my face until i hit the creamy nougat center?
andrew, did you already check out the SIX HOUR preview on jay and jack's itunes feed?
Happy St. Pattie's Day to all. Maybe a little late, but what do you want, I've been at the bar since 2 in the afternoon.
Just a friendly reminder to all (before the less friendly reminders later in the week) to join the Official MYOKOM w/SAS March Madness Pool ... the brackets are set, so it's time to pick your teams. The deadline is Thursday at noon.

Any problems, just pm me on the forum. Not sure what the issue was when you joined up Holli, but I'm not seeing you listed. You do need to have a Yahoo! ID first to join up. Good luck all!
p.s. Looks like there a big cash prize through Yahoo if you happen to pick a perfect bracket. I think that's 64 correct games. GL with that...
And also, the Group Slogan is 'salty...'
Not a bad setup for....
Kablamo!
My bracket is in. I'm glad we weren't required to have the play-in game by today.

Happy? Easter.

wassup, gang?
I'm watching The Five Doctors.
It's a very misleading title.
i was at the local comic book store (and by local i mean 20 miles away) the other day and found shelves upon shelves of the old Doctor Who novels. ever read any?
cool. that last sentence (fragment) could be read, and you could read, as read being either red or reed depending on whether the "ever read" in the sentence is inferred to follow a "have you" or a "did you," respectively.
argh! i can't watch The Five Doctors streaming from Netflix. argh! and argh again!
I took it as "have you ever read" - and the answer is: no I haven't.
There are some e-book versions online somewhere. Possibly the best way to read Lungbarrow without spending a massive wad of cash.
As for a streaming version of The Five Doctors - may I recommend the following?
Part One
Part Two
Brilliant.
Oh, erm, and spoiler warning...
Statistics are gay
"Poof" is #4 on that list. For some reason that always reminds me of GOB.
LMFAO @the five doctors - fucking brilllllllliant! :)
and you are right - the title is a bit misleading :/
(although I remember my younger self feeling fairly elated that 3 of them were on screen together)
hey MB, have you been to the TV Guide website today? There seems to be some info there, I didn't read it, but I know you're into that kind of thing. It's right there on the front page.
MB - the guy behind that ("Fargergeddon71") has some other fun vids on there, but that is something of the pinnacle.
"Flight of the Darned" is god for a few giggles and is ridiculously well made, but I would suggest is not quite of that quality.
Does have a bit of The Sarah Jane Adventures in, though, so gets bonus points.
Ahem... that would be "Farmergeddon71".
Curse my tubby fingers.
Best Headline Ever
that's hilarious, elias.
You can always rely on The Sun to pull out an impressive bit of wordplay.
well - sometimes. I don't think "Gotcha" counts.
News about The Piemaker.
The case against home school.....and CNN.
I want to punch that kid in the throat. But do something much nicer to that anchor. Grrrrr-ow! ;)
damnit, i would have guessed S-C-O-M-B-R-U-D-A-E from her crappy pronunciation.
that said, that small child angered me with his awkwardness.
and was that Kiran Chetry plus can in a tan as the anchoress?
Dang Palmer. You are the king of pop knowledge. I had to look her up, and yes that is her.
He might be autistic.
How cringe-worthy.
I dunno Steph. It's possible. But at face value he is a sheltered home school kid who has never interacted with anybody besides his mom. The exact reason I am not a fan of home schooling. I guess you can do it the right way and have your kid come out ok. But more often than not, you get kids like this little punk, who have zero social skills whatsoever.
I bet his mother is extremely controlling.
I thought that maybe he's autistic too.
I wonder if he knows that he came off like a creep.
asperger's with a focus on spelling, maybe.
but he might just be annoying. that's always a possibility.
i wonder if he likes LOST.
LOST!!!!
what the heck has Kevin Johnson been up to? no spoilers, please. only speculation.
so, did he get Walt to safety and then come back on the Freighter? what's the timeline like for that to work? when did he leave? day 60 something? and it's now day 90 something? hmmm...
i don't know the answer to any of those questions, but i hope we find out.
One thing he hasn't been doing is mopping up the bloodstains.
I love the spoiler-free theories that leaving the Island on a bearing of 325 sends you back to the past complete with barber shops and freighter job applications, but your intact 2004 consciousness.
Holli
Jordan, if I were disciplined, well organized, and didn't have to work at all I'd homeschool. I resent the fact the state forces me to send my child to school. And sends me a note when she misses a day. Like I owe the state an excuse for allowing her to stay home.
\extremely controlling mom
I say Kevin Johnson looked much older than Michael Dawson.
GAHHH!!
What a day! (just crazy busy) I'll be lucky if I get a podcast out tonight! :/
Ally - thanks for the heads up on TV guide!
I used to like Bob Costas
Read the last few paragraphs with Costas on bloggers and people in general on the internet. I heard it on the way home today here in St Louis (where Costas is from if you didn't know).
Kablammo!
And Steph. Don't exactly call me a proponent of the public school systems. I just believe that kids need to grow up interacting with others. They need to learn how to get along others and that they don't always get their own way. Because 99% of the time, reality ends up smacking them a cold slap upside the head when they are dumped into the real world.
And I actually kinda agree with Bob Costas. What he says goes along with a lot of my rant from last week about user comments in web site articles. Costas isn't saying that all bloggers or internet commentators are idiots. Just that A LOT of them are. And the ones who are, do not deserve the attention. And I agree wholeheartedly with that.
- i'm excited about Thursday's LOST but i have no theories. I think the flashforwards have really dampened my ability to speculate wildly. It helps that the writers aren't leaving a bunch of insignificant questions up in the air either.
- i finally finished my best movies of 2007 entry on my blog: www.stupidscientifical.blogspot.com I guess I disagree with Ralph & other blogspotters on a few key titles.
- Palmer (sorry, i always forget your 4realz name) - thanks for the heads up on the Jay & Jack preview edition. I'm a little under the weather and podcasts are good for closing the eyes and zoning out.
- Ally - belated thanks for the birthday greeting.
- LOST!
Jordan,
I COMPLETELY agree with you that a lot of people hide behind the anonymity of the internet to make idiotic comments.
The radio station I was listening to had an interview with him, and he didn't make the distinction between blogs, story comments, message boards, or chat rooms. At least to me, he seemed to say that bloggers hold no value. There are great blogs and podcasts that I read/listen more often than mainstream media, but it's a small percentage of everything that's out there.
It was this sentence that really got me:
'' Costas said. 'But it's one thing if somebody just sets up a blog from their mother's basement in Albuquerque and they are who they are, and they're a pathetic get-a-life loser, "
So I guess that make me a pathetic get-a-life loser except I don't like in my mothers basement.
Anyone know where TLI is today? I need my fix..!
brennan, bob costas needs to be reminded that a lot of professional sports writers and commentators are pretty pathetic get-a-life losers too.
it's kind of a universal constant that there will be loud idiots saying obnoxious stuff among a sea of mediocrity with a few tropical islands of insightful thought, whether that be on the the radio, the television, or the internet.
unfortunately, another universal constant seems to be that the less useful stuff one has to say, the louder they say it.
/saying it loudly :p
p.s. RIP, Arthur C. Clarke
p.p.s. if you build a space elevator, name it after the guy. ok?
Arthur C. Clarke?
I guess that's me listening to Mike Oldfield's "The Songs of Distant Earth" tomorrow, then.
Brennan, I totally get what you are saying. And I agree with you. I guess I'm just making a distinction in my own mind between people like us and the people I feel Costas is talking about. Yeah, he is probably being a bit of an ass for generalizing it to the degree he is. My interpretation of his words is probably giving him more credit than he deserves. I agree with Palmer that it is a bit hypocritical, as a good % of the "media" is just as ignorant and full of itself. I think there's a middle ground in the whole debate, and that is where I agree with Costas' statements themselves. Maybe not his opinion, but the words in which he used. There really are a lot of idiots out there. But again, like Palmer said, there's a bunch of morons and losers in the media. Skip Bayless anybody?
• i hope you had a great birthday, andrew.
• anon, i don't know if we'll be getting a new TLI this week, since kim just got back from vacay.
