That's a good looking grandma. Boy howdy!

Anyhow, almost time for the LOST pre-game show. Everyone convene here after the episode and let me know if IT BLEW YOUR FREAKING MIND.

Holy CRAP!

I've never been a good judge on how everyone else reacts to an episode, as in, I like it, but no one else does/sees the flaws I didn't, but I really thought they stepped up thier game on this episode.

Sadly, I knew some of the spoilers before hand, and they all started to fall into place which was annoying, but still, a very loverly episode.

The Official Dorks have no real insight to share.
Something just dawned on me. You know we're supposed to think Friendly's gay? I think he meant they aren't on the same level, genetically. Or they are genetically incompatable.

that was a fucking awesome episode.

Not sure when we can discuss all the spoilery goodness without ruining everything for WestCoasters, but we're totally going to have to have to go frame by frame for some parts. And by "we" I mean someone else because I am way too lazy. But looked like there were some tantalizing clue(s) ala "the map" last season.

Brian called me from Kyrgystan during the scene where Ben woke up, so I didn't hear that part! I was all like, "Yeah, uh huh, I love you and stuff.." trying to pay attention but I couldn't. I was a bad wife & Lost fan.

This was proof that spoilers don't really spoil you at all! I knew that guy was going to get hit by a bus, but I didn't know who he was, or why. I also knew Ethan was going to be in the episode, but didn't know the significance of it. See folks? Spoilers can help you survive a hiatus.

What a fun episode. I feel so bad for Juliet, and what a great new layer of understanding of the Dharma Initiatiave/Hanso Foundation/Douchebag Organization. She missed her sister's pregnancy; might not even know if she's alive or dead, and is basically a prisoner on the island herself.

Awesome.

well aimee you got your wish a new book to read. A Brief History of Time might be more of a challenge then Infinite Jest :) I've read some of it. its amazing.

Duh, I didn't even think about that. Oh yeah. Books. Cool. At least it's not something about genetics or fertility or some shit like that.

Of course, generic "deep science" is probably bad enough.

aimee I still hate spoilers the fact that you dont know ethan is in it really gets you when you see it and you have no idea its coming

Spoiler!! Spoiler!!! Spoiler!!!

I knew exactly what was going to happen because I read the synopsis. Never again will I be so spoiled. Regardless, it was a great episode. I can't claim this point I read on Jay and Jack but Dr Shephard and Dr Burke in another hit show.:)
I think Sawyer realizes Kate loves Jack from her ridiculous regurg of his scared story. I say Sawyer will push Kate away next episode by reverting back to his (to quote Aimee) assholie self.
The phrases in the brainwashing video were "God loves you and so does Jacob" (maybe) and "Plant a good seed..." and "Our suffering is caused by our own actions".
Why was Tom being so civilized to Jack?
Tom explained why Ben couldn't leave the island because of the purple light.
Loved the Wookie prisoner joke.
No matter how much my sister wanted a baby, I wouldn't encourage anyone sick with cancer to become pregnant. Weird.

Correction. "God loves you as he loved Jacob."

aimee, i knew that the dude was gonna get hit by a bus, but i forgot about it right before it happened. so that was cool. the girl who plays alex is a bad actress, but i guess thats what happens when you are pulling the "old wookie prisoner trick". Was it just me or did Sawyer just make up for 13 weeks of not making pop culture references in one episode?

good stuff. cant wait to hear what jimmy has to say about the music. i thought it was great. i am glad that lost is back, it was almost as if it never left.

See you all in the morning. We will record on friday night!

15 weeks left until the big finale!

I saw the bus thing coming, but liked the way they played it out when she mentioned it to the Dharma people. Wasn't that the guy who was on "Suddenly Susan"? He needs to blink more...he's too good looking to act creepy in my opinion. Anyway...

I liked it a lot. I didn't like the sequence in the "hypno" room, clever as it was. It seemed to go on too long...or maybe it was the ultraviolet glasses etc. But I liked it all other than that.

I like the respect of sorts that Tom has for the captors. Interesting that he seems to be able to boss Juliet about...Hmmmm.
