You know you're really comfortable with your audience when you can tell them they might be stupid.
I can't wait to listen to it!
Haven't had a chance to listen to the podcast yet but I'm very happy to see we're getting another dose of Kim and Aimee (or is it Aimee and Kim??) already.
This should make work a little less sucktacular tomorrow. w00t!
Kim should get top billing, but I don't think it really matters.
It's not working for me but I'll try again tomorrow.
Aimee,
I've been comfortable for quite some time telling myself that I might be stupid.
-downloading the podcast now. looking forward to listening to that instead of the usual morning crap on the radio on my way to work tomorrow.
Thanks to both of you for getting this out! You girls rock!
That was so funny when Kim just blurted that out, I love it.
I am so wrecked today; I don't know what's wrong with me. I could barely hold myself up at the counter to place my order at Starbucks this morning.
Steph, I'm not sure why it wasn't working for you!?! Everything appears normal. Switchpod is going to be making some changes to our account, but that shouldn't affect the feed at all. Let me know if you have problems today.
Got it baby! Will listen shortly.
If you can arsed, read this - Enlightening? Sort of.
Keep forgetting to say, but that was me.
TeeJ
I did not post the NY Times article.
Well I sure didn't, and Kim didn't either. That pretty much only leaves Craig or Dylan, right?
It was "The Island"
Ladies...
Loved it, you go from strength to strength.
Got to dash, will add thoughts later.
Cheers,
J
I'm of the opinion that "Flashing Before Your Eyes" is a reference to Desmond in the jungle after the implosion. Poor Hurley saw Desmond's bait and tackle.
And they say Hurley is cursed.
Hmm... does this mean that Aimee wants to see "Little Desi?"
To make a Dickensian reference, I'm pretty sure that Desmond would refer to what's under the kilt as "Our Mutual Friend."
Or "The wee beastie"
The Loch Ness Monster?
Oh dear, what have I started...
penis
Hadrian's Balls?
/quick and dirty roman conquest of britain reference
i just listened to the Dharmalars and Lost Initiative podcasts back to back. both were awesome and it was great to get a double dose this week. And now wednesday's new episode is nearly upon us.
i agree with Aimee that we'll probably get flashbacks and flashforwards from Desmond this week. A flashforward would be a perfect opportunity for the creators to throw some insane imagery at us for us to endlessly pick apart, similar to the map or Locke's dream sequence.
I'm trying to be good about not talking about other TV shows now that Lost is back but...
I think I fell in love with Karen when she was singing with Scrantonicity.
It's a good thing Lost came back with a vengeance because BSG sucked superbad this week.
keep it reals,
andrew.
I agree, Andrew. I had high hopes for it being a Helo episode, especially during Sweeps. I watched twice and it didn't get any better.
The deal with Sawyer's lack of shoulders- I think he was working out wrong and his neck was the only thing getting bigger. Looks like he has a trainer now.
Wow! It's almost Wednesday again. I expect to be blown away since I haven't read a spoiler in weeks.
The New York Times printed a correction about the mistake regarding Walt. But what does this Randi's opinion have to do with a tv critic not watching the show she's supposed to be reviewing. Does The New York Times not have editors?

Andrew, don't hold back from discussing anything that you want to, whether it's BSG, The Office, LOST, or nuclear disarmament deals in North Korea. I don't give a shit, and neither should anyone here.
We all came together because of our joint interest in Lost, but that doesn't mean we can't talk about other things whenever we want to. We shouldn't have to maintain separate blogs for each individual topic of conversation.
[exit soapbox]
Sawyer does have "sloped" shoulders, but to say it's an abnormality in comparison to Jack's ridiculously small head is just insulting. It probably does have something to do with workout routines. Proof Holloway was at one point beefier: CLICK HERE
I thought BSG was pretty good. It definitely was not Story-Arc related but it certainly wasn't about Starbuck or Apollo so I was happy.
I'm looking forward to more Baltar stuff. That guy is the man.
Oh! And it was excellent to have Tigh being an asshole to someone last week. Good stuff.
And, Officees, I'm not the biggest fan of long drawn out Jim/Pam stuff. So, I'm hoping we'll get some movement on this storyline soon. Instead of just treading water and them making puppy dog eyes at each other when they're not looking.
And Jim needs a haircut.
I'm still kind of tripping out over the fact that tomorrow we already have another new episode of Lost. The circuitry in my brain just doesn't know how to deal with this.
Desmond's junk flashes before my eyes.
I just hope that "Your Mutual Friend" can distract you from any potential freakish shoulders or miniature skulls.
A lot of us are almost shocked that it's Lost again tonmorrow! I guess doing the casts, or listening to them as I have basically daily has made seem like it never went off.
I'm behind on BSG and going to catch up in a few days. Sounding like the show is losing momentum though.
My workplace blows at present!
Jimmy,
Any workplace is better with barbecue.
That's your mission for today. Barbecue.
I am so upset with Arthur right now for bringing up the Sawyer-shoulders thing, but I really had it coming by doing the same thing with Jack. :) Try to look at Sawyer and NOT think about his shoulders. It's ridiculous now. It's the same old "white bear" thing from the Brothers Karamazov.
Don't think about a white bear.
Are you thinking about a white bear?
Stop it!
So, think Desmond is going to put the moves on Claire? Or will she stick to her LoveHobbit no matter what?
i dont watch BattleStar Galactica and dont know about Starbuck and her Storyline, but i think she is hot. I think she should play Joe Lombard in the Madman movie.
I cant believe that LOST is only a day away, but i really can believe that i will be 30 years old in 5 days.
Aimee, I will be wasted on saturday night, i will be sure to call the LIne.
I will come up with a way to mess with you on your birthday. Maybe I can send one of those 90-year old strippers dressed as cupid.
I back the stripper idea 100%
90 year old strippers dressed as Cupid must be cheaper than younger strippers dressed as Cupid because the 90 year old strippers bring their own diapers.
40 year old astronauts bring their own diapers too.
-- zing!
That's astro-nuts!
im gunna go ahaed and throw some lost into the discussion, I am re-watching I do and noticed in the opening credits Adawale's name is still there, I dont recall if it was there for not in portland, i just thought that was strange, any thoughts?
Aimee that pic of Saywer all juiced up makes his head look like---dare I say it...
I can't wait for LOST tomorrow, and I can't wait to do another podcast.
Toronto is getting hit with a winter storm watch for tonight and tomorrow morning--therefore no flying this afternoon. I'm bored :(
I don't think Desmond will 'put the moves' on Claire. I think he's going to warn her of something--like he did with the lightening, then Charlie will be jealous because he's insecure.
No offense to women, but why does Charlie act like such a girl all the time?
Good luck with the storm, Kim,
I am very interested in seeing this episode with Desmond. Especially as they have hyped it a bit and claimed a new approach. I really loved his story so far, so think it might be a good one.
That said though, I've started going off him since "The Powers" began...so I hope it's interesting or convincing enough for me to not think it too incredulous. We shall see.
Kim, if you can't actually fly around in a helicopter today, I suggest that you simply run around the office pretending to be a helicopter. Then you can make traffic reports up for the hallways between the different cubicles in the building. This way, your having fun and helping people out.
Casey,
Did "I Do" feature any Eko-corpse? That might explain why his name was there.
Does anyone think Claire will cut Charlie's mullet? God, I hope so.
I feel for you Kim, but we had 24 hours of mental intense snowing here, which meant i could get our R&D department to make a wicked sled, that, in turn, made me lose 2 and half hours of my working day! Brilliant!
TeeJ
Yuck, I'm headed for Indy after 70 degree weather in North Carolina. I'm feeling for ya, Kim.
Okay, question on Not in Portland. I may be stupid but does Jack know about the second island? If not, where does he think Kate and Sawyer are going with the boat? Off the island completely?
*KABLAMI*
so, let's say that Jin was picked up by Tom, in the motor boat when the raft exploded!
They take jin to Island B and Juliette takes out the Tingle in his Dingle and they dump him off on the beach, where he is discovered by the tailies!
He wanders the island all the while, Sun is worrying about him.
He makes it back to the camp, they "Do it", Hurley gives a thumbs up outside the tent.
Sun is preggers!!!
tell me where i fucked up!
maybe
I'm still trying to get the image of Kim flying around the office pretending to be a helicopter out of my head. That's going to make me laugh for a while.
Good one Ralph.
Well, damn, that's not a bad little theory. Most impressive, Ralph.
I don't know if anyone watches House but that show is keeping with the lost schedule of last year. Two shows then three weeks off. Its kinda annoying. I was watching it with a few friends and i was like "i bet it will say three weeks on house" and sure enough. Another three week break. Shows need to get their act together. I bet its because of friggen american idol too. american idol will be on tv for 2 hours a night so House has to go bye bye.
Well sorry for that rant but it had to happen. Well they say Nor'easter for New England tomorrow. Lets all cross our fingers that we don't lose power at 10pm tomorrow night. or i will have to borrow the Desmond power to see what happened.
everywhere except boston, it just started to snow a couple minutes ago, and the forecast says only a couple inches by morning, I came from florida expecting a white winter and so far, all winter, we got a total of 1.8 inches. Thanks alot global warming.
Prediction for tonight's desmond-centric episode:
Desmond does not have flashbacks, but flashforwards.
kablamo!
Derrick--Juliet confessed there were 2 islands after Kate radio-ed back to Jack saying she and Sawyer need a boat...so I think he knows why they'd want one so badly.
Sadly, I didn't not run around the office pretending to be in a helicopter :( Funny, but not bloody likely you'd catch me ever doing that--besides, I'm no longer in the chopper, I've been promoted (or demoted in the coolness factor) to a plane. If anyone cares at 5:30pm there was a major accident yesterday involving 17 vehicles some people were stuck in the backup until midnight last night! Sucks to be them!
Ralph--great theory, it could have happened, but I don't think so
.
Thanks Aimee and Kimberley.
Another fun podcast.
How do you to connect? Usually when one of the podcasters is on skype or a phone the sound quality is terrible.
But you both sounded really clear.
