First!

Looking forward to hearing it guys; is this going to be the last one?

Scott and Steve said...

NO, we plan on doing shows the rest of the summer. That is, if people will continue to listen to us talk considering the amount of Lost content will be a lot less.

Ralph- said...

sounds good to me. i can only take so much lost talk.

aimee is lost said...

Whew, what a relief! I thought I was going to have to read all summer. Of course I'll probably do that anyways, but at least I can listen to you too.

Great Podcast. Also Ralph nice job with the predictions. You did better on the comments then the cast :)

I kinda liked X-men 3. The bridge scene was so stupid i started to laugh during it and people got angry at me.

Since its the summer movie season a section of the podcast could be about the "Big Hits" coming out.
Also another good thing about summer is the concerts. I have a few lined up and maybe if anyone else goes to some shows the podcasts could having a summer on the road type of thing.

Just wanted to throw those ideas out there.

Great podcast guys, it was nice to hear Dylan again, even though there really wasn't much substance to it!

First of all, you guys would be crazy if you had C.C.'s phone number and didn't use, it so storm your brains and come up with something awesome!

You also seriously need to drag Jonathan Bluestone into the mix. I for one, completely support it. You need to send him on a scavenger hunt around OKC to find clues from this secret organization trying to recruit him.

Regarding the Hugh McIntyre interview, if we were to say that the ARG has maybe a little to do with the plotline of the show...

If Hanso allegedly dumped the Dharma Initiative's funding in 1987, could it be possible that the Widmore Corporation picked them up after that?

Finally, there are a few items that I think we should try to work out, or at least discuss, while we have all this time on our hands:

1) We need to work out the Libby timeline so we can compare the time frame she was at the mental institution, the time she was married, and the time she gave Desmond the boat. We already know Desmond has been on the island for 3 years or so, and that prior to that Libby was recently widowed. However, Hurley was in the mental institution some time before winning the lottery & flight 815.

2) We need to analyze the possible reasons for the Others wanting Jack, Kate, and Sawyer. We know that it can't have to do with knowing about Henry/Him, because Eko & Locke met him, and Kate never did. So I think we need to explore what these 3 have in common I guess.

3) The other thing that's driving me crazy is HOW is it that every time the survivors find one of the bunkers or camps, it's ABANDONED!

I know that the Swan is the one exception, but most likely because it's the only station with a real purpose apparently. But where on that godforsaken island do the Others actually live? Do they even live ON the island? Henry arrived by boat; where was he coming from?

Mike Campbell said...

I also agree you need to call Cuse, Just try it. Worst he will say is to fuck off.

The bluestone story was amazing. We need a continueation of the story.

Another thing we should focus on is during the official lost podcast they said that "You saw the monster another time this season and might not have noticed what you were looking at."
I would like to try to figure out what the hell they ment by that.

aimee is lost said...

Yeah, I forgot about that part. If it means something, that would be awesome. But what the hell could it be?

aimee is lost said...

Could all of the hallucinations on the island be some type of manifestation of the black smoke monster? (Walt, Dave, Christian Shepherd, the black stallion, etc)

Jimmy said...

Hello.

I've been a bit absent of late, which is a bastard considering the MYOKOM had the last episode (for a bit). But I will totally, utterly be into any other show done in the meantime and try and keep the blog/podcasts alive. That said...

When the smoke monster came up to Eko, and we saw that there were frames showing parts of Eko's past...his brother showed up in a few stills. Then later, ,his brother appears in his thoughts and even Lockes dreams...

Could Aimiee be right that the monthsr manifests itself that way (Dave, the Black horse...)?

Am about to listen to the shows tonight....it's been a $%@*& long weekend!

I finished A Wrinkle In Time; also a somewhat short book like the Third Policeman was. Interesting science fiction, but I don't see much of it applying to Lost, unless they intend to prevent some type of future disaster by wrinkling.

It seems that most of the Lost mythology is REASONABLY grounded in reality, so I guess they would be really changing the format of the show to introduce time & space travel into it. It's a little easier to accept electromagnetics than "tesseracts".

I started "Dirty Work" by Stuart Woods this morning. I've whittled Part 1 of the Library down to the randomly appearing books on the bookshelf of the Swan station, the day Locke was organizing it.

juggernaut, bitch

Ralph- said...

craig and ryan will be doing that. is anyone interested in Twin Peaks? i know that Ben was going to watch them on Wed. for the summer. i will be doing a report for you all from comic con. i know that damon and carlton will be there....

Hey Craig,
Ask Carlton if he listens to Fan podcasts. Also ask him if he likes to copy their bits, such as a podcast about Freddie.

aimee is lost said...

Hey Ralph, when you're at Comic Con, try to meet Carlton Cuse and introduce yourself as Casinoskunk, then punch him in the face.

aimee is lost said...

and THEN do a podcast about that!

Anonymous said...

Just so you know... I havn't seen the new X-Men, but when you talked about the "Don't you know who I am? I'm the Juggernaut Bitch" quote. I laughed out hysterically.

The reason people laughed about this is because of this flash video, put out a few years ago:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-3934651591022114445

That quote was a direct shout out to it. Word for word quote.

Ralph- said...

Aimee,
i will go up to the mic at the lost panel, and instead of asking him a question, i will say, "I Am Casinoskunk, Bitch!" just like Juggernaut would.

i think i will do a podcast this weekend with ben, and we will discuss the official lost podcast, as well as the origins of casinoskunk. we will probably talk movies, and whore out our video podcast.

Dylan from Atlanta-

That video is awesome!! I had no idea.

Ralph- said...

i remember seeing that a couple months ago, and it did not even pop into my head when i saw X3 last sunday. i too thought it was strange that juggernaut said that. now it is sort of funny, i guess. what about Kitty Pride calling juggernaut "dickhead"? i thought that girl looked like she was 13 and thought it was strange to say that. i know that juggernauts head looks falic, but it still seemed strange for her to say it.

dylan from atlanta,

I posted that exact link less than 2 hours before you did. But I'll forgive you.

Spoiler warning Bitch.

What was the deal with the bridge anyway? That was totally pointless, except from the angle of gratuitous special effects. Magneto would have had to hold up the bridge the entire time. It should have collapsed when he got the darts since it didn't have any intermediate supports.

Hollerin said...

I would totally listen to the shows about the misc junk going on in the world of entertainment or whatever! I love the stories you guys tell, they are pure hilarity! So its all good!!!

Ralph- said...

i just thought the golden gate bridge was used as a scare tactic. it shows off how powerfull magneto is, while showing that there is a gap between the humans and mutants, that he feels he can "bridge". whatever, this movie has "colosus" and "wolverine" and other rediculous things that are totally lame and fake. i wish i could make a movie that uproots the golden gate bridge.

Happy to hear a good podcast about Lost from people only 90 miles away. Keep up the good work.

Michael R said...

I putting my vote in for continuing the podcast, even if there's little to no LOST content. Sometimes the best parts are not LOST related so whatever you decide to talk about, I'm in.

I also want to say that you should definitely try that telephone number you got but I don't have a great question to ask yet, so I'll get back to you on that.

L8r

P.S. If I would have ever met one of you guys in person, I would have been one of those guys who said Ginger Ale is only for when you're sick, sorry 'bout that.

Ralph- said...

i drank ginger ale yesterday at a BBQ at Ben's House. I stole the Ginger Ale too! i should put up a blog about it.

I like gingerale with LEMON!!!!!

The insanity!

Michael R said...

I just remembered, I like Tea and you CAN trust me, and I'm not even British.

Jimmy said...

Well I am now a coffee drinker over tea, but it was once the other way around.

Funny, as I actually drink ginger ale all the time. My drink of choice. Here's my usual, as this was a product placing podcast

Good show guys...I heard it a bit later than the rest. Nice work Ralph :)

You know, if there became a genuine fued of sorts between MYOKOM and The Official PodCast, this blog and show would hit the roof in the podcast community. Naughty ot suggest, I know.

Ralph -
I watched Twin Peaks in Febuary, It was pritty good. I liked the first season a lot more then the second. half way through the second season i thought the show kinda fell apart. They were trying to do too many twists. I would love to hear a podcast about what you and Ben have to say about it.

Mike Campbell said...

What are they going to do with the Lost Experence now. Are they doing to put the new website during the re-runs each week?

If thats the plan i will have to Tivo all the re-runs and fast forward to the last commercial to get the clue :)
