Not many spoilers this week - the spoiler crackdown must be working. But listen anyway as MB and Mac try to re-hash What Kate Does, and Dark MB interjects his...dark opinion.

I got big expectations for "The Substitute." Should be a damn fine LOST ep.

I don't have high expectations for The Substitute. I assume it's going to be related to The Constant and The Variable in some way...

Which is fine... The Constant was great, The Variable? Not so much.

I'm trying to have no expectations especially about the Xverse and how it won't tie into what's happening on Island.

the main difference between the LOSTiverse and the X-Verse is that, in the X-Verse, people actually watch the X Games.

very much looking forward to the episode tonight. i like both timelines/stories. i trust that there's a reason for the Alternaverse.

that's why it's called a leap of faith, holli.

:p

I have faith The Substitute will be kickass.

No way. Constant/Variable - all about Desmond and Faraday. The Substitute has nothing to do with them I assume

While I stand by my earlier admission that I'm not particularly looking forward to tonight's episode, I can't help but think this is a good thing.

If the episode is underwhelming, then I can be all "I told you so", but if it's not, then I can be blown away, as it were...

I'm trying to trick myself. Knowing that this episode is placed the same as Walkabout I want to go in expecting a Stranger in a Strange Land and hopefully end up being satisfied with a Tricia Tanaka is Dead.

sweet. we can have Alt-Tricia Tanaka. and since Bizarro Hurley is so lucky, she'll have fling a meteor off her forehead and into outer space. bonus!

I already know what the Substitute is going to be about (not a spoiler):

Tom Berenger plays an ex-marine who decides to go undercover as a substitute in an inner-Island high school. Very soon he finds out that a gang of Others is terrorizing the school. He discovers that there leader Flocke, is not just going to roll over dead. Well neither is Tom...

Oh wait... I think I am joining 2 different events...

Can't wait for 8:00...

#15 KABLAMO!

I think this episode is going to be great. If they carry on the momentum of the last half of last week's ep, it'll be fantastic

#16 KA-BLAMO!!!

methinks we'll need some Lapidus, Sun, Ben, Focke action tonight. uh... not like that. weirdo.

What's with everyone expecting so much for this ep? Stop. Don't answer that. I know absolutely nothing other than who the ep is about.

But still, haven't y'all figured out yet that having expectations is how everyone ends up all disappointed and complaining afterward? I expect absolutely nothing other than to get some new LOST. As always I'm hopeful it's gonna be good. But we shall see.

That's what I'm trying Jordan. I'm trying. Maybe that was my problem last week, I knew nothing about the season, enjoyed the first 2 hours and were psyched by them only to slow back down and find out guess what, Kate is still a dumb ass. But like Kim I did love all the stuff on Island at the end with the sickness and the pill and the your sister and the Clairsseau. Trying to be a blank slate entering tonight and grateful only that I won't have to watch skating.
