Anybody here watch Party Down? If not, I recommend checking it out. Kinda a cross between The Office & It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. First couple eps had me mildly laughing. But the last couple have been hilarious.

From the previous thread. Is Sophie Winkleman trying to break out in the US?

Palmer translation - she was the Russian hologram in Red Dwarf: Back to Earth.

I just watched the new Big Bang Theory. I actually had to pause it because i was laughing so hard i got a headache... Which seems to be happening all too frequently due to Texts From Last Night.

Also, Sophie Winkleman, like Chris said, she played the female hologram in the new Red Dwarf episodes and she's in the new half hour comedy by NBC, 100 Questions, ie. the one about a group of twentysomethings trying to find sex/love and seems like it's trying a little bit too hard to be the new HIMYM or Friends.

She was also in the really funny and innovative british comedy (BRITCOM) Peep Show, a show about two thoroughly normal yet a tiny bit weird flatmates who get in bizarre situations, but everything is shot from someone's own point of view, and has internal monologues. It's really really funny. I recommend it so much.

...ramble ramble ramble.

I've been watching Party Down. It's on the Watch Instantly on Netflix if you don't have Starz, but do have Netflix. I like it. It's not like I have to see the next episode the minute it's out, but it's definitely enjoyable and guarantees some good laughs. High on the quirky scale.

Looking forward to the podcast and Wednesday's night LOST and Saturday's Ace of Cakes LOST spectacular -- 1 hour long. Ace of Cakes is on all week at 9 Eastern if anyone is bored during that hour.

Here's my finale theory...

So Faraday basically said if they can explode the hydrogen bomb, the plane would have landed safely in L.A. like it was supposed to. I'm thinking all that will happen.

memphish said...

I posted the same idea to my blog a few days ago Holder. It's sure to be wrong since I'm always wrong, but I wanted to be on the record just in case. I have to say I'm not thrilled if that's what S6 turns out to be, or even half of S6, but I'm not sure how we're going to move out of this time travel dilemma otherwise.

- i wouldn't be surprised by a Final Destination approach to season 6. The original Oceanic 815 lands in LA, but then the universe starts course correcting, killing Boone, Scott, Shannon, Arzt, Nathan, (that girl that drowned), Anna Lucia, Libby, (somebody mentions Mr. Ecko dying since there's no way AAA will ever be back on the show), Charlie...

- i'm going to be really annoyed if Frank & Sun don't actively do anything to get the 815ers back to 2005. If they just bumble around in the 'present' and the incident teleports everyone back to the current time, then i'm going to call shenanigans on the entire trip to the big island.

- i didn't like Peep Show. It was too depressing.

- yeah, the new TLI isn't in my iTunes either. Last week's never downloaded correctly for me either. :(

- Fringe got renewed. good on that.

I am really annoyed with the possibility that the plane lands in LA because its like all of the shit that happened on the island has no significance.

But when you say course correction that makes total sense to me. Like Jack wants to fix all the misery that happened on the island then all the same people start dying. That would be cool as shit.

But if that does happen then we're stuck with another storyline involving going back to the island. Which wasn't fantastic the first time.

I don't have a TLI in iTunes either. There's something going on that's not quite right.

I completly agree with you Kyle the only reason I want that to happen is for a classic rant.

I've been behind with TLI and this is the first time I've heard a Benjamin Linus call.

Absolutely brilliant.

There's really no point anyone else phoning in ever again. Fantastic.

scrdmnkydst said...

This week's Ben Linus call is actually amazing.

The guy who does these impressions is really really funny.
