Fantastic podcast, fellows. The proverbial podcast gauntlet has been thrown down and now Aimee and Kim have to take the challenge and match the sheer awesomeness of the Dharmalars' latest podcast.

nice job guys. Jimmy great as always! Need to Rant a little more. Dying for a con air quote :)

You know nothing can compete with the awesomeness of Rolph and Boner. And Ryan's giggle. And Jimmy's sex appeal. But mostly Ryan's giggle.

However, the Lost Initiative can still top the Dharmalars with one word:

boobs.

PalmerEldritch said...

I pledge allegiance to the one with boobs.

What are we talking about again?

aimee is lost said...

Kablamo.

PalmerEldritch said...

Heheheh. Now, I'm going to have the Kablamo song stuck in my head for the rest of the week.

Not-kablamo!

Anyhow, recorded any podcasts lately Aimee? Regained your sense of hearing? Fought any bitches?

aimee is lost said...

We recorded a ridiculously long session today, and Kim is editing, so it should be up sometime between now and next season. I am slowly regaining my hearing, and the buzzing in my ears is quieting each day. Sadly, I haven't fought any bitches though, but with each day there's fresh hope.

Cross you fingers that the most disgusting story you'll ever hear will NOT make the final editing. It's actually funny, but totally gross, and extremely expensive.

P.S. Ralph - I want my Mii, and my hair better look spectacular!

PalmerEldritch said...

Kim! Keep the disgusting story. Maybe in it's own AAC chapter so it can be skipped over for those not willing to chance it? Or are we talking uber disgustingly gross? :\

Hmm... Now, I'm curious about this disgusting story. And slightly frightened.

Well, thanks for the upcoming podcast (even if Kim isn't speaking any French). I'm looking forward to it.

aimee is lost said...

Alright, maybe I'm overreacting. It's not like blood and guts gory. You'll see. If she doesn't include it, I'll just tell you.

Ok folks. I know I am slightly buzzed at the moment, and I have gathered all the strength I can to post something that makes sense. I deleted the first message because i t was rude. It's a friend's birthday and I'm supposed to be editign out next podcast, but i'm out drinking in the city. I don't care!

Stephanie said...

That's ok, Kimberley. Have a good time. We'll be patient.

Jimmy, I was waiting for you to discuss how the Shambala melody was used in the music.

Mike Campbell said...

Yeah Boobs.

Aimee its a historic Day. After starting it more then 6 months ago i have Finished Watership down. During the time i spent reading Watership i have read about 10 other books. But i am finished with the bunnies. Now aimee will like me...i hope :(

YAY BOOBS

Fun podcast. Loved your Jack Palance imitation Ralph. Good job Jimmy.

aimee is lost said...

Mike, I am SO PROUD OF YOU! I'm not sure which was a prouder moment for me, this one, or the day you graduated college. I think maybe this one. Good job. I'll start Slaughterhouse Five today, just for you now. Infinite Jest will still have to wait.

PalmerEldritch said...

It's T-drunk Kim! Fantastic!

I hope that you A) flashed a Matthew Fox who was NOT wearing a fedora and B) recorded a drunken traffic report while making helicopter noises.

PalmerEldritch said...

Ah! I also hope that you drank plenty of water before bed to avoid a nasty hangover. Nobody likes a hangover. Or drunken puking...
Hope you didn't puke your guts out. Or puke anyone else's guts out for that matter...

Ralph- said...

shit yeah!!! Kim will be the first caller of the week, thanks to our first come first serve policy!!!

time to go listen! you all have to wait a week!

i like boobs as much as the next dude, but the dharmalars have eight butt cheeks!

Ralph- said...

oh. looks like kim will be second. by the way, look forward to that call!

YESS!!

Anonymous said...

Jizz!

lol...no, no, no, none of that. I took 2 Gravol pills before I went to sleep, and voila! I'm good to go. I'm editing our marathon podcasting session for TLI. ***Spoiler Warning*** Expect an unexpected cameo from an old friend

Ralph- said...

Oooh. i know who it is!

i think that "special guest" may have spilled the beans on a blog.

:) can't wait!

PalmerEldritch said...

Thanks to Ralph's hint and a little detective work, I now know the identity of the Mystery Guest.

I was in a mystery solving mood after seeing OCEANIC scrawled across a plane in a Kurt Russell movie while channel surfing in glorious high definition. I wikipedia'd it and found that "Executive Decision" is the original home of "Oceanic Airlines."

part of me wishes i drank so that i could drunk-call all of the Lost podcasts.
next week i'll topless call everybody.

andrew.

Kim & Aimee - That's really cool that you were able to get a caller from the future. I hope he had some insight to share. Or at least some entertaining anecdotes. That would be just as good.

p.s. Have you seen his celebrity collage in his blog? O.M.G.

Ralph & Ben... I forgot to comment on the podcast. Boner, props for steppin' up whislt Rolph was in LA. Rolph, glad you didn't fall asleep during the podcast. Jimmy, I wish you could have gone on a bit longer in your music segment--and I thought you would mention the reprise of "Shambala" when Hurley was driving around by himself. Ryan aka Giggles, laugh kills me!!

I can NOT wait until Wednesday, finally a SAYID EPISODE!

Stephanie said...

Am I imagining things? I thought the new TLI was up.

PalmerEldritch said...

Steph, BSG... WTF?! Oh, and Jimmy, have you seen it yet? If so, WTF?!

Stephanie said...

I haven't saw it yet. I heard something about a worm hole.

PalmerEldritch said...

Watch it and get back to me. :)

That's your homework for this week.

Jimmy said...

Thanks for the kind words etc, and for those of you who are asking, you are right that there were a few things I couldn't get to, or would have liked to get too. I'm trying to address this at present.

Can I also add that the segment I did last time was a bastard to edit...it really gave me a thumping.

Anyway...I put my back out on Saturday night, and it has just clicked in sometime in my drugged up sleep last night....so I have to go to work! Will listen to TLI over there. Age!

Oh yes...I am catching up on BSG and have last weekends to go...will be totally current in about 24 hours! I was basically 4 behind, and can now also say , "wtf?"
JP

memphish said...

Jimmy,

Sorry about the back. Was someone taking a photo of you at the time? You could blame it on that like John Daly, the grossly overweight and out of shape golfer, is doing. I'm planning on using that excuse next time I do it.

Your segment was fantastic. You had me in tears a couple of times. Hurley at Libby's grave gets to me. What can I say.

aimee is lost said...

Jimmy, I'm sorry to hear about your back! No age jokes here...sigh...I hope you're feeling better! Take some more drugs & watch Lost - the perfect combination; especially if you're watching Charlie-centric episodes. Or S.O.S.

aimee is lost said...

Oh Wow, that totally reminds me of something. I wanted to go back to my Others roots yesterday, so I watched One of Them, and I noticed something kinda interesting about Ben. After I saw him get shot with the crossbow, a lightbulb went on over my head and I had to go back to Stranger in a Strange Land to check something out. I found out my suspicion was correct.

Ben's shoulder wound is gone.

PalmerEldritch said...

Aimee, how many days has it been between Ben's capture and V-Dub Day on the Island? Two weeks or so? That does seem a little quick to heal from. Man, that Magic Island sure comes in handy.

aimee is lost said...

Without a scar to show for it? Uh, yeah. I'm not a doctor or anything, but mystery island or not, that's unusual.

PalmerEldritch said...

P.S. We should start a collection to raise money to send Jimmy to LOST Island so his back can heal in time for next week's podcast. How much does a ticket out of Nigeria cost?

aimee is lost said...

P.S. Kablamo.

aimee is lost said...

it's free if you're a fake priest.

Ralph- said...

wow, that is a big mistake. i cannot believe that michael emerson would notice, after wearing all of that makeup in season 2, would forget about the arrow wound come season 3. oops. Good call aimee.

I think that podcasting is taking it's toll on the members of the LI, Aimee gets sick a few weeks ago, Jimmy pulls his back out. what next?

PalmerEldritch said...

Has some nerd out there made a LOST timeline of events on the island? This nerd would like to read one!

memphish said...

Palmer,

LostPedia has a timeline. It's not perfect, but you can check it out.

PalmerEldritch said...

memphish, thanks. that's just what i was looking for.

16 days between Benry in the net until Stranger in a Strange Land as far as i can tell. that is some pretty snazzy super island healing!

anyone know the episode names of when Locke breaks his leg and when he takes the brace off?

aimee is lost said...

2x17 "Lockdown" was when the blast door fell on his leg, and 2x21 "?" was when he chucked the crutch and went jungle running with Eko to find the Pearl station. He was hobbling on the crutch in the Swan station prior to that.

PalmerEldritch said...

So, three days according to LOSTpedia and four days according to Sledgeweb. Now, that is some quick healing. So quick, that I'm just glad that Locke wasn't dressed in a cheerleader outfit.

watched BSG last night at about 4 AM after my radio show. I don't want to spoil anyone but i'll just chime in and say that i was really disappointed in the episode. I'm really glad Lost is holding its own, connecting on an emotional level because BSG 3.5 is sucking big time.
Also, whoever is sound recording and editing BSG needs a new line of work because i can never understand half of the shit anybody says.
i'm tired and a little cranky.

andrew.

ps. Dharmalars was hilarious. I LOL'd a bunch on the bus.

PalmerEldritch said...

That whole eppy of BSG was building up to something that just didn't appear to ever show up. Hopefully, there's payoff somewhere down the line. Like, say, the first minute of next week?

Benjamin said...

I was timid to come here because of Lost spoilers, but then I find you discussing BSG, and my damn roommates have me two episodes behind on that show. D'oh!

No more podcasting injuries. We can't afford to play hurt, guys, we don't have a deep enough lineup. It's not like we can call someone up from our farm team while Jimmy recoops.

I don't know why everyone seems to think the 'Lames lack boobs. Ryan and Ralph are a complete pair of tits.

Ah, ah, ah, ah ah, YOU'RE NOT KABLAMMO!

aimee is lost said...

There isn't as much excitement over this next upcoming episode. I know it's hard to top Hurley, but come on guys, it's SAYID!

Anonymous said...

i think everyone's playing it close to the chest Aimee (ha ha boobers)
we've all been burned by the promo department a few too many times. They made this next episode look like adventure city. I think they may have given away a lot of the island juice.
but what they didn't spoil is the Sayid flashback. Any guesses on what it's about? we've got a pretty solid timeline of him learning to be a torturer to the plane. I'm guessing we get a youngin' Sayid with his teasing Nadia.
maybe he remembers he had a true love before Shannon. He says 'fucks a spoiled brat' and stops being all mopey.

andrew.

aimee is lost said...

Kim should the podcast up soon; the spoiler section discusses Sayid's story. I'm not sure how "cool" it's going to be, but I don't really care, I'm just psyched to see some Sayid again. When I was watching One of Them last night and saw the scene where he splashes the water all over himself, I remembered how hot he was.

memphish said...

Come on podcast! I need some laughs. My day has sucked and it's all Comcast the cable company's fault. My day has been whatever is 180 degrees from Comcastic!

Speaking of promos, I think the same people who write for ABC make Comcast commercials.

Thus ends my current rant.

Oh, and come on TLI!

Jimmy said...

Holli,

sorry I made you cry (of sorts) but glad you liked the episode. Thanks to all those concerned about my back too :) Very kind of you...it is a lot better today.

So I've listened to TLI, and I am very glad Pikki's ep has been retitled to "Expose", because I can fucking guarantee you that I am onto something.

Are we somehow going to revisit Boone's death from a different perspective?

Or are we going to find that when Shannon was moping and not contributing, her and Nikki were BFF's? Tanning partners? These are the mysteries that I want to get my teeth into :)

Great show, you two.

memphish said...

From NPR:

The federal government held its first public hearing last week on whether polar bears should be listed as an endangered species.

Is this related to Locke and hairspray?

Holli
still grousing about Comcast in Memphis

Yeah! Happy Dance! New TLI in iTunes. I can drive to Target a happy woman!
