Anonymous, do not post spoilers here or you'll scare away those that are spoiler-free. Good thing I already snuck a peek or I'd be mad.
My myspace friend, DDK, wrote in his blog that the film that was damaged in the airport mishap was of Jin and Sun's flashback. He said it was a pain to reshoot but they believe the performances were even better the second time.
Oh, something else I meant to mention I read in Kevin from The Office's blog- he says he has never met JJ Abrams even though he's credited for directing the last episode this season. Can you believe they are trying to mislead us?
HEY, I'M IN BIRMNGHAM. NOT ALTANTA.

yeah, i had sent him an email giving him a friendly hello and to tell him that his inside joke did not go unnoticed. and he sent back a cool email. good stuff. i really want to interview him. i have seriously been following his work since '99. my relationship with him has lasted as long as my relationship with stevi. so it was a pretty big deal getting that email from him. :)

HERE IS THAT MESSAGE,

Thanks man... glad you noticed... I was quite surprised to awake to a
flurry of emails from people who had made notice of the theme...
it's fun to tie those themes together some times when it makes
sense... MOH U Boat theme = LOST Sub theme...

Anyway... thanks!

By the way, awesome show guys. Tell me where to go to vote for you to get the Hugo Cup, because you sooo need to win it.

Seriously everybody, the Dharmalars have made the biggest wave in the Lost fan community this year, they deserve it way more than anything else out there.

ROCK THE VOTE!

Thanks, Aimee! Thaimee!

awesome podcast. loved the drunk aimee stuff. that shit should get it's own podcast.

and the dharmatards should totally get that hugo cup thing, whatever it is. but i get an annoying feeling that that egotistical jay and jack show will win.

Great podcast guys. Quickly becoming my favorite one.

I can honestly say that I've never been the type of person to pay much attention musical scores on tv shows or movies, but your podcast along with Jimmy's analysis each week is turning me on to yet another nerdy interest. Thanks a lot. (said sarcastic as possible)

And I just listened to last weeks LPI. You rock as well Aimee. You got the drunk Lost podcast market cornerd. ;)

So glad I found these podcasts. I was getting a bit sick of the old ones I used to listen to.

Anonymous said...

rick-rocking podcast ben and ralph. you guys are the bestest lostcasters around. its a shame you are getting whooped in the hugo cup. if only justice could be served.

ralph. wasn't the dog who played the piano on the muppet show named ralph? or was it rolph? hmmm.

i am a big fan of your you all everybody segement. funny how all the calls are always drunk girls. look forward to more of that.

anybody else think that john locke actually saved jack and juliette's lives by blowing up the sub?

and back to last week's show real quick. just how in the hell did claire get that mini-novel onto that tiny piece of paper?!!!

Hilarious drunk phonecall Aimee.

Great podcast again this week guys. Lifted the gloom of England fucking up this evening.

rolph, boner, producer ryan, and jimmy, you guys all kick ass. i'm off to vote for you guys in the Hugo Cup. if anyone deserves to hold Hugo Reyes cup in their sweaty hands, it's you guys!

and aimee and kim too. especially drunk aimee and radio voice kim. but i've already voted for them, so now i cast my second ballot!

thanks, Dharmalars. tharmalars!

"anybody else think that john locke actually saved jack and juliette's lives by blowing up the sub?"

interesting notion. do you think there was somebody waiting for them on the other end, was it a doomed voyage, or are you imaging some other machination of death?

andrew.

Jordan said...

Remember when Ben was talking with Locke before Locke blew up the hatch? Ben was talking about how he had quite the conundrum on his hands. If he let Jack and Jules leave, he'd look weak. But if he killed them, he'd look bad. He never said which he was leaning toward before Locke showed up to solve all his problems.

With what we know, there's no way to tell what Ben was going to do. But what if he was still considering offing Jack and Jules before Locke showed up? Ben could've had some sort or trap set up for them or could've offed them and made it look like they left? If anything, we have come to learn that you can never trust Ben. So why did we all assume that had Lock not blown up the sub, that Ben would've just let Jack and Juliette jaunt off into the sunset?

Very interesting question to ponder nonetheless.

Stephanie said...

Among the many, many, many podcasts I listen to or have listened to, the beer-drinking shtick isn't something new. However, Aimee just may be the first and only Sloppy-drunk Podcaster. Regardless, it puts me in the mood to get sloshed, while watching Lost this week.

Anonymous said...

I totally loved Aimee's drunk call. Who wouldn't want to party with that girl?

My favorite part was the "I don't even know what's going on. Are we at a frat house?" line. And from last week's LPI, I absolutely loved it when she went on a drunken rampage about how lame the Jack football scene was and how big of a lamo that dude was for thinking it was a good scene. Hilariousness.

Seriously, I'm calling for the "Drunk, with Aimme from Little Rock" podcast. Doesn't even have to be about Lost or anything in particular. Just follow her around partying and the like. Now if that doesn't win some type of award, I don't know what should.

Anonymous said...

I'm losing my edge, I'm usually one of the first to post!!

PalmerEldritch said...

OK. I came back a few hours later and I could vote. So, I've now thrown in my votes for the Dharmalars and the Scott & Steve Blogspot. I took care of voting for Aimee and Kim days ago. :)

Kim, come back to us. We're suffering from Kim-withdrawal here on the blogspot. How long is your crazy schedule going to last?

Anonymous said...

What does it mean to "digg" you guys? I'm confused. And somebody needs to find a way to hack the hugo cup thing. seems a certain overrated lost podcast whose main fan base consists of middle school girls is getting a bit too much love for my tastes. The dharmafarts needs some love! And one question. How do you guys get the score music without all the other stuff in the show? When you play clips, how come all the talking and noises are MIA?

Anonymous said...

ok...so I was the first the call Craig the Podfather... I just want THAT to be known...

and did Ralph, did you say TLI was hosted by Tim and Aimee?!?!!?!? WTF?

PalmerEldritch said...

Tim in Koronto!

Yeah, I thought I heard Ralph misspeak that same blasphemy. While I'm certain it was simply a mistake and not an intentional slight, I'm pretty sure you have to refer to him as Ralphalina or Ralphabelle to get your revenge.

Revenge is a dish best served immediately.

aimee is lost said...

Did that guy just say "dharmafarts"? That's awesome.

Even if you guys don't win the Hugo Cup this year, I think we should make an annual Dharmalars award and just give it to you. Every year. You are by far, the best Dharmalars-podcast out there.

Anonymous said...

muppet talk, Michael Giacchino email, drunk Aimee, and Seattle Jimmy...you may have clinched the Hugo cup with this one guys. Rock on!

Anonymous said...

This blogspot is almost as entertaining as the podcast itself.

I think from now on when I listen to the podcast I am going to envision Rowlf the dog when Ralph is talking seeing as I don't know what Ralph really looks like. But which muppet for Ben? Hmmmmm. Right now possible I'm thinking either the stoned looking guitarist chick or the eagle who did the news.

Anonymous said...

Kim, i am pretty sure that i said Kim and Aimee, if i didnt than i was just slurring my speach as i tend to do.

For those of you who want to vote, i did this cool thing on iTunes this week, where if you go to the chapter before the you all everybody segment and look at the album art in the corner of itunes. there is a little button that you can click that will take you right to the Hugo Cup page! technology is rad!

Someone shut up whoever it is that spontaneously bursts into whiny laughter in the background.

Otherwise, great episode. Love the Jimmy in Seattle bit, even when he totally disregards Locke's second theme, by far a more poignant and emotional one (track 19 on your Season 1 soundtracks, fellas, go have a listen).

Drunken Aimee was super cute, keep it up.

Producer Ryan is the funniest. i wouldn't know when to laugh if the Dharmanards didn't have a laugh track.

BSG finale tonight AKA can they pull this shit out in the end (Das ist was Sie sagte?) They have about 40 minutes to make me care about Baltar's trial, redeem the Admiral's recent fascist turn, turn Lee back into a man, and make me feel like they've accomplished something since they left the algae planet.

it looks like Sci-Fi went ahead and ordered a full season 4 so maybe they'll be better prepared to plan out the whole arc next year.

If anything, I think producer Ryan's cackling should be more prominent in the show. Give the guy a mic! Much like with bad sitcoms, a laugh track would help the shall we say less witty listeners know when they are supposed to laugh.

If anybody here has ever listened to any of the Ricky Gervais podcast's or the original radio show in London, the show never really took off until they incorporated Karl Pilkington, who originally was the show's producer. By the end of it all, he was the most popular part of the show.

Anonymous, schynononmous. It doesn't matter. He/she is cool...it goes with the territory. Why all the haters? Is it because I called the podfather and his partner potheads about a year ago?

aimee is lost said...

Cliff, you know exactly why the people who hate you, hate you. You are a total douchebag, and it has nothing to do with the pothead comment from a year ago. Give us a little credit; we're not retards.

You've put yourself on a pedestal thinking you're sacrificing yourself for an audience like some sort of celebrity martyr when you love every fucking second of attention it brings you. You sold your soul, and you were own damn promoter, whoring yourself anywhere you could, and shitting on anyone who wasn't you.

You've managed to piss off a lot of people, step on a lot of toes, and turn your backs on a lot of others. Oh, and be a completely groveling idiot to some important people thinking no one would know or remember.

It's easy to see through people when they're, oh I don't know...completely transparent.

At least you can acknowledge who your podfather is. But now I feel dirty for giving you credit for something.

PalmerEldritch said...

aimee, i don't know about turning off anonymous comments.

if they get abusive then, yeah. but i don't think anonymous was getting abusive. he's got a difference of opinion on the giggles.

admittedly, anonymous is WRONG about the giggles and i was so upset i looked up how to write a haiku in producer ryan's defense, but it's not like he said you had bad hair or some shit like that.

occasionally, you'll get someone who disagrees with a creative choice of the podcast. as long as they don't call anyone names or anything like that, i think we'll be OK.

in the meantime, i'll invoke a variation of Godwin's law:

"Anonymous, do you know who else doesn't like the background giggling? PAOLO!"

aimee is lost said...

That's why I left it to a vote of the people. To me it doesn't matter either way. It angers me that people have to be cowardly when they say negative shit, but at least it gives us something else to rip at the them about, right?

I like that everyone can say whatever they want here, even if it's bad. This is a completely open forum, no holds barred. But if you are going to say something bad, don't expect people to not come to others' defense!

Viva la SaS.

Anonymous said...

Aimee - any idea when this week's Lost Initiative is due?

PalmerEldritch said...

elias, kim is hoping for tonight according to her post a bit back up the thread.

aimee, tell me more about TMNT. was it good cuz it was good or just good cuz it was our favorite heroes in a halfshell? should i shell out 9 bucks for it or just wait for the dvd? i want to see it in theater but i need an excuse (such as it's completely freaking awesome).

aimee is lost said...

Palmer, it's worth it to see in theaters, even, and especially if you're an adult. Being a child of the 80s is just the extra sweetness.

The computer animation was spectacular, the music was really cool, and I enjoyed everyone's voices except for Splinter's.

It was a little strange with Mr. Winter because his voice sounded like Patrick Stewart but he looked like Puddy from Seinfeld. Oh my gosh and Zihy Zhang as that foot soldiers leader was so cool too. I didn't even need to look that up, you can just tell her voice. The story was pretty cool, it was just all around fun to watch.

People might nit-pick all they want at it, because I'm sure it has flaws or something, but I totally loved it!

PalmerEldritch said...

aimee, your enthusiasm (as usual) is contagious. now, i've got to find a cheap place to watch it... :)

so tmnt was good? i had already discounted it as likely crap. so was there enough relevance to our beloved original to make it enjoyable? cuz to me it seemed to just be some 2007 yu-gi-oh updated version for the new generation. if not, maybe i should check it out.

and no offense to the dharmatards, but this blogspot deserves the hugo cup.

memphish said...

I'm going to stay out of the drama and just say great podcast again Ralph, Ben, Ryan and Jimmy and I vote Ryan giggles more. I also can't wait for Kim and Aimee's newest.

Elias, thanks for that link. It is an excellent theory. It fits in with what Ralph was saying about Locke, A Coop, Ben and Star Wars in the podcast.

PalmerEldritch said...

only three problems with that theory that i can think up off the top of my head.

if Walt is the Other's Golden Child or Christ Child or Next Jacob, why would they trade Walt for Ben's back repair? that's what they did. they traded Walt for the murder of Ana Lucia and the delivery of Jack so he could fix Ben. Ben may be important but he's not as important as Jacob/America'sNextTopJacob.

how ancient is this Jacob guy if he is the proverbial "source of magic" on the island? the four toed foot statue is Cuselof's way of saying "This Island is very special and has been since peoples' made statues like this." that would make Jacob very old. unless Jacob is one in a line of Magic Men that dates back to ancient times or someone at DHARMA got really wasted with Roger Workman and made a giant four toed foot statue in the 80s.

if Jacob can control the Island, why not just summon a new Walt?

/wet blanket

memphish said...

Maybe Aaron is TheIsland'sNextTopJacob.

Holli

Anonymous said...

What is this? Actual Lost discussion??? Psshaw!

aimee is lost said...

Maybe trading Walt for Ben's spinal surgeon wasn't Jacob's idea. Someone (I think Pickett) said "Jack wasn't even on Jacob's list". Ben overstepped his authority to get himself fixed up.

Jordan said...

How many lists exactly are there anyway? I'm getting confused. Cuz there was the list that the others used to snatch people when the plane crashed. Then they referenced a list when they had Michael help trap Jack, Kate, Locke, and Hurley. And now there's some new list that Mikail was talking about that he told Kate, Sayid, and Locke that they weren't on. Not to mention that Ben told Locke that he was on the list. Enough with these lists!!! It's probably gonna end up being the list from heroes and we're going to find out that Kate has the super power to climb trees and get her clothes wet at an instant.

I bet Jamie Bamber had a hard time holding on to his American accent in the scenes with Baltar and uh Lampkin. Yeah, I kinda liked the lawyer. RDM said he was in Firefly. I don't remember him. I must look him up.
I got a little misty at the end so that means I liked it. Especially liked the effects shot at the end. The song even worked for me, palmer.

America's Next Top Jacob!!!! LOL!!!! OMG!

(still editing)

Anonymous said...

Just read that Jacob theory the elias linked to - wow - that's quite cool and it works. The only thing I keep thinking bout that would change it, or at least ADD to it is that Alvar Hanso's message currently on the Hansofoundation.org site talks of the Hanso foundation "bringing rebirth to a dying land and dying people". So I guess I'm wondering if he is referring to the island and Jacob (and a possible race of islanders), or something off-island? Maybe this is who Ben is? Cool stuff - this is why i watch this show like crack.

P.S. I'm with pork chop in wanting to know about the issues with mr. ravenscraft. Never listened to his podacast - I guess I'm a rubbernecker for human drama.

BSG spoilers:
HOLY SHIT! That was one of the worst hours of television i've ever seen. period. hands down. i don't think i'm going to tune in for season 4 at all.
As far as i'm concerned the series ended with the shot of Galactica crashing into New Caprica's orbit. We're left to imagine them getting home from there.
i'm actually really pissed about how terrible that was.

personally, he gave me shit when i was doing our Save our Sas episode. Since then i have heard several instances where he has pissed in other podcaster's pools. I am not a fan of this guy's ethics. i think that he soils the LPN comunity.

i could really go on and on, and if i hear him mention US, The LI or any other podcast in an unflattering light, than i will fucking go off on him.

Benjamin said...

Dudes! The BSG spoilers have to stop. I can't be expected to keep up with that show since I have to wait for my lazy-ass roommates so I can watch the episodes with them. I'm still like three episodes behind on my DVR! Not your fault, homies, just letting you know my dealio.

I'm a fan of the Ryan Giggles (patent pending) if only because they're the only feedback I get while we're recording. Like a studio audience of one, but even better because I respect Ryan's opinion on comedy, and I might not feel the same about an audience full of randos. I'm also a fan of people getting to say what they do and do not like. Just so long as we don't have to listen.

As far as anonymooses, I'd have to say I'm in favor of anonymous posting, because I wouldn't want someone to think they have to join up just to drop us a quick line of feedback. Then again, having people register does lead to awesome user names like "Dharmafarts" and "Kate-Nikki-Claire 3 Way."

Mexicanfatdance - There's a website called digg.com (if I'm wrong about the URL, I hope someone corrects me) where people can go and show support for a wide variety of crap by adding a digg, which is like a vote? I'm not sure what it's all about, but I found my show here: http://digg.com/podcasts/The_Dharmalars_LOST_Podcast
