also, aimee, at the end of the year, i dont want you screaming to chile biscuit at the airport that you "have to go back!" :p

/chili or chile? no se!

Bon Voyage Aimee!

Like we could answer any much less all of those questions P. Though despite the Black Shirt of Man #2 (who I saw later that night in Gone Baby Gone) it might be a good thing. When Jacob wins he says "They come. They fight. They destroy. They corrupt. It always ends the same." Maybe this time they won't destroy now that Jacob is destroyed. Assuming any of it matters at all given the bomb.

BTW, I haven't seen any scientific description for what effect the bomb would have on people or the Island, Popular Mechanics said the way the bomb would act on the electromagnetism is that it would neutralize it by making all the little magnets that make up the big airplane sucking magnet not line up any more. No word if the magnet can make the rads in the bomb not liquefy human intestines though.

I actually have to drive back on Wednesday night to bring my brother to the airport.

I HAVE TO GO BACK, GUYS!

I HAVE TO GO BAAAAACK!

all i can think of is that it'd the be the alcoholic brethren of something from Orange Julius.

the radiation could be negated by MAGIC. the Island is Narnia on crack.

PalmerEldritch said...

aimee, wear a crazy fake beard when you scream that.

Stephanie said...

How far is it from Oklahoma City to Little Rock? I guess I could just check a map right quick. 300 miles. A straight shot.

memphish said...

The Island is magic, but it let one of the '54 Others end up with a radiation burn. In other words it's going to take Island Magic + Specialness at a minimum. I think burying a New Kids lunchbox instead of having to look at it every day proves Kate is the most special of all.

I think moonshine is made with plutonium. Liquid Juliet = orange juice plus moonshine.

So when Widmore said he needed Locke on the island or the wrong side would win, do you think he wanted Locke's dead body on the island so blackshirt could take it over or did he want Locke to be ALIVE on the island so blackshirt could NOT take it over? Or maybe Widmore doesn't know what he's talking about...or whatever it is hasn't happened yet.

andrew. said...

maybe Widmore is rooting for not-Jacob to win because he's EVIL!

also, remember Matthew Abaddon? what was up with that guy?

Kelly Jo said...

Yippe!

memphish said...

Widmore didn't think Locke needed to die when he was talking to him in the Tunisian hospital. The only entity that came up with the need to die thing was Fake Locke directing Richard to tell that to Alpert, then Christian in the Donkey Wheel room didn't disagree, though he didn't explicitly tell Locke he had to die.

Stephanie said...

Why hasn't anyone mentioned what happened last night on The Office? Squee!!

Kelly Jo said...

I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't want to spoil. I was going to wait until tonight to say why I'm squeeing and have been ecstatic all day!

PalmerEldritch said...

haven't watched the office yet. or last week's. oops.

Stephanie said...

I didn't find last week's especially funny but last night's was hilarious. And the ending was very special.

Stephanie said...

30 Rock finale was lame.

John V. Holder III said...

That's right, Holli! Fake Locke is the one who told Richard to tell Real Locke he had to die. Then (I think) Fake Locke was Fake Christian helping Locke turn the wheel and implying that Locke would have to sacrifice himself. This evil guy put a lot of freakin work into scheming his way towards killing Jacob.

I wonder how Claire factors in to all this? Maybe Aaron will be Jacobs replacement. After all, isn't Aaron Jacobs great great grandson (something like that) in the bible?

Kyle, you must be my kin.

I love how the new folks stick to Lost-talk.

I'm jonsing for my Angel-filled DVR.

Andrew, did you watch Angel?

Giancarlo said...

anybody gonna watch the new show:
flash forward? looks promising.

memphish said...

I'll give Flash Forward a try next fall while trying to wait for Lost, probably.

If anyone has been hoping Parks and Recreation would get better, last night it did. It had a number of very funny moments, and even Amy Pohler's character wasn't too whatever it is she's too that's making her mostly unenjoyable.

My DVR did not record The Office last night which I learned 20 minutes into its airing, so I had to watch it online today and had been spoiled on the big news by the interwebs. I really like Michael with Holly. Amy Ryan is high on my list of favorite actresses right now. 30 Rock was okay. Kenneth continued to dominate the funny talking about his science class. The benefit thing was lame. Fast talkin' sista Liz Lemon was a winner though.

I like LOST.

So,
thinking about the endless timeloop of the the Locke/Richard compass - it now apparently includes Dark Locke taking the compass from Richard and giving it to the real Locke.

Does this mean that the loop always included Dark Locke - meaning Dark Locke's existence (his possession of Locke's likeness) is 'what always would have happened'? Because - assuming Ben's murder of Locke 'always happened' (which maybe it did maybe it didn't - I don't know), then unless Dark Locke exists in 2007, then there's no one to make Richard give the compass back to Locke.

But in an alternate maybe Ben wouldn't have killed Locke and the real Locke would have ended up taking Richard to himself at the drug plane.

ooop - got a nose bleed - BRB....
