THANKS LADIES!!!

- iTunes is denying me my sweet, sweet Lost Initiative. I'll get you (tomorrow) my pretties.

- i just watched a weird horror movie, just released to DVD, called "The Burrowers." It's a virtual DHARMA reunion as it features Ethan, Kelvin and Horace. I don't really recommend it. It has good performances and some interesting elements but it's ultimately not scary and a little boring.

- Oh yeah, that "GI Joe: Resolute" movie i mentioned was pretty awesome. It managed to distill most of the GI Joe mythology into an hour, with good animation. It's definitely a billion, trillion, gajillion times better than that garbage coming out this summer.

- Did Sayid go back to the woods to score some more of that DHARMA grade LSD?

I just finished watching Eagle Eye. Wow! What happened to Spielberg? Ever since A.I. I can no longer count on movies he's associated with as being good. They are hit or miss.

Not that Eagle Eye was particularly bad (it was ok, mainly due to the poker scene), but it was basically a "really" (see SNL "Weekend Update" bit) version of Body of Lies.

I watched "The Story of the Oceanic 6" again and I still didn't notice them acknowledging Widmore faked the plane crash.

Nevermind, I heard it.

I'm not taking it too seriously. It's a clip show and this wouldn't be the first time one of ABC's clip show's or pop up videos would feed incorrect information.

memphish said...

I don't know whether or not to trust the clip show either Mir. Damon and Carlton said on the podcast, the one where they blame Rebecca Mader for the Charlotte birthdate screw-up, that the pop-ups are not canon.

I still haven't watched the clip show. I may get around to it tonight. Jimmy said it was actually a very good summary of those characters featured.

Anyone catch Heroes? WTF!!!

All these televised presidential press conferences, ugh. Almost makes you long for the good ol' days. Back when nobody cared enough about the president for the networks to broadcast him speaking.I think it's the fact now that the president is actually articulate, Jordan.

GFY Heroes.

All I've been watching lately is Buffy, Angel and Bones. And also Castle. Next up is Firefly and then The X-Files. But movies will probably be getting good again soon so I'll be spending time doing that again. I'm just glad that school is out day after tomorrow and all I have to worry about is work.

Stephanie said...

Oh, ok. I see the deal with the italics now.

mb said...

For everyone who is bugged by the italics thing:

Just type a SPACE AFTER you type "< /i>" at the end of your italicised sentence (omitting of course the space I just inserted there between the "<" and the "/") - otherwise blogger with slam the next thing you type right up against your ITALICISED stuff

that seems to solve the problem for now (until blogger can ACTUALLY fix whatever is wrong).

OH...MY...F**KING...GOD :)))))

Ben Linus's call this week takes the goddamn cake. so damn funny!

True say, MB! Hilarious!!

Hey Alirio - sweet Herbie Hancock music on the latest Pausecast! Gonna have to get that disc onto the iPod tonight :) Haven't listened to it in awhile

/speaks of Herbie Hancock "The New Standard"

Jordan said...

Thanks for the Heroes spoilers, Fleudiddy. That was really cool of you. You are now my new favorite poster.

SIGH.

Jordan said...

"All I've been watching lately is Buffy, Angel and Bones. And also Castle. Next up is Firefly"Jeez Steph. Fangirl much? :P

Heaven forbid Nathan Fillion and David Boreanaz get together for a buddy cop movie. Steph just might burst in flames. lol.

Right on Herlyhe or should I say write on.

I have the last 4 episodes dvred and have managed to re-main unspoiled until just now. As fate would have it, I was spoiled by reading comments on a Lost blog. Thanks Kim!

Anonymous said...

Why did I write remain re-main? Did I main again?

Morgan said...

Nice job ladies. I nearly pissed myself laughing at the Ben Linus call! I actually had to go on a break from work because I couldn't contain the urge to giggle...

scrdmnkydst said...

Why did this remind me of Palmer?

Ew Manchu

PalmerEldritch said...

uh... thanks? :\

Jordan said...

Hahahaha.

scrdmnkydst said...

Sorry right, but it did.

Jordan said...

I think I speak for Palmer when I say, WHY?!

scrdmnkydst said...

I don't know why? Maybe it's Palmer's innate beardiness rather than his penchant to fashion his body hair in an amusing fashion.

PalmerEldritch said...

well, i guess it's better than reminding someone of a picture of Hitler or dead babies or something.

so... i've got that going for me!

awesome TLI. the call from Benjamin Linus was amazing. good stuff.

scrdmnkydst said...

There's nothing wrong with being beardy. I heartily recommend it.

Jordan, check this out. The setting is a post-apocalyptic, dystopian future. David Boreanaz and Nathan Fillion are life-long enemies. Oh, I know. They are both in love with the same woman who is murdered or kidnapped by uh who's a good bad guy? Mads Mikkelsen has kidnapped Katee Sackhoff. David Boreanaz and Nathan Fillion have to team up to rescue her. Ok, Nathan Fillion is the funny character and David Boreanaz is the earnest one. How do I work Jensen Ackles into this? He's the wise-ass techie guy they turn to for help. End the end, they all die. That would be the greatest movie ever made. Who should direct?

Fleudiddy said...

My bad Jordan and Heilihy I figured everyone watched it last night. I thought a spoiler was a reveal before a show hit the air. Next time I'll hold my tongue.

Jordan said...

DVR's my friend. DVR's.

Stephanie said...

Clearly I didn't think this through. Katee Sackhoff can not play a character that would allow herself to be kidnapped. The bad guy attempted to rape her but she fought back and killed him in some awesome, badass way that I haven't come up with yet.

scrdmnkydst said...

yeah, DVR's and the fact that not everyone lives in the US...

Jordan said...

Since when did Not America get the internet?

John V. Holder III said...

Well shit. Spoiley McSpoil over here fuckin up Heroes for me. Preesh.

I think Up Up Down Down Left Right B A was also the blood code in Mortal Kombat on Sega...but it's been over a decade so maybe I'm wrong.

PalmerEldritch said...

i forgive you, Fleudiddy. of course, i'd already watched the festering pile. :p

nah, you didnt mean to spoil anything for anyone so i think you'll soon be forgiven. but, yeah, watch out around these parts. check out the SAS BBS. i set up a Heroes thread there for season 3. we can all complain together.

gunna listen to the Ben Linus thing again.

t-dot kim said...

Whoops, my bad...maybe I shouldn't have asked about Heroes--but I actually liked the finale, and the big "twist".

Fleudiddy said...

So does this make me the newest douche of the blogspot?? I feel like Pierre Chang right now. Ok I'm over it.

Fleudiddy said...

Thanks Palmer and Kim. Anyone wanna know who wins DWS???

Kyle from Kentucky said...

It's swinefleu season

Fleudiddy said...

et tu Kyle?

PalmerEldritch said...

in the words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, "Stop swining!"

PalmerEldritch said...

wait... kim, you liked part of Heroes? BBS it, yo!

PalmerEldritch said...

also, i blame the guy in my avatar for the swine flu.

in fact, it seems like everyone has been within six degrees of him lately. he's a prime candidate for the swine flu Typhoid Mary.

Jordan said...

Just watched Heroes. UGH.

How the hell could you like that Kim?

The 2 or 3 decent episodes over the past few had started to make me think that just MAYBE the show was slowly fixing it's problems. Uh, this ep undid all of that.

scrdmnkydst said...

I liked it apart from two things.

The lame ass-blocking of the camera from the fight scene. I WANT TO SEE A PETER/SYLAR BATTLE PROPERLY.

and the fact that they did took a step forward in terms of story... the took eight steps backwards within the next 5 minutes... ridiculous.

Fleudiddy said...

First of all this swine flu it's all the Twelve Monkeys. And as far as Heroes goes it's nice to see after all that swining and crying Jordan and Herlihy agree with my initial assessment. Sorry Kim but Heroes missed the bus.

Jordan said...
