Numbers Commentary

This will be boring if you don't watch Numbers along with us. Craig and Dylan jump in the way back machine and go way back, all the way to March of 2005 to revisit episode 1.17 Numbers.

I'm only about five minutes into it, but I'm loving it already. It's like listening to a piece of history...the discussions about how to shorten the title to what is now the infamous "MYOKoM w/SAS"...the pre-avatar "I wish we had a cool graphic"...this is a fun lesson in MYOKoM w/SAS evolution.

Clever, guys. Love the "what we said back in the early days" concept. I need your time machine...there's someone I should have asked out!
Cheers,
Jimmy.

I love your podcast "FROM THE PAST!"!
brilliant!

I just glad you two didn't pulled over for doing 88 MPH. And where did you get 1.21 gigwatts??

I just managed to sync the episode & the podcast together, and that was actually pretty fun. I never watch TV show commentaries on DVDs, but since I actually care about what you guys say, I figured what hey.

P.S. I think Claire wears too much makeup in both seasons.

There are NEVER enough posts about Ben Folds!

I know the ben folds name, but can't think of a well known song. Katie...please assist.

May I assist, too?

"Brick" was Ben Folds Five's only big mainstream hit. Ben Folds has had a couple popular singles, like "Rockin the Suburbs" and "Landed".

Has anyone heard his cover of "Get Your Hands Off Of My Woman" from Super D? :) :) :)

Katie said...

"Landed" is still out as a single right now, I think.

Ben covers the best songs. I have heard "get your hands off my woman" and it's pretty good. One of my very favorite Ben covers is "Bitches Ain't Shit" orginally done by Dr. Dre. Last 2-3 times I've seen him live, he's performed it and it's hilarious.

For those of you who didn't watch the Super Bowl you missed some great ABC ad space. Luckily for you, ABC has decided to capitalize on their investment and is streaming the commercials on their site.

Addicted To LOST

It seriously was the best commercial the entire night.

yea he did "bitches ain't shit" last time i saw him. and the bass player was very vulgar throughout. thumbs up!

Thanks for the Back to the Future reference. Now my life is complete! :-)

As for Ben Folds, I love his cover of the Flaming Lips' "She Don't Use Jelly." I can't wait to see him at Bonnaroo!!

This podcast was hilarious and I didn't even sync it up with the episode.

thanks guys, that podcast was fucking sweet

aimee in little rock said...

Damn, I don't recognize any of those song titles! I'll bet if I heard some I'd recognize them.

Jellymanianos said...

Can you guys cram some Stone Roses into your show somewhere? I expect you might get a few people asking for songs, but if not, can i be your first requestee?

Scott and Steve said...

Okay, but only songs from Second Coming.

Cool, anything from there would be ace, specifically Love Spreads, what a tune!
