Thanks for the nice commute to work again. Excellent timing because this episode was shorter and I was driving faster since I overslept a bit. Ha ha ha, I made the last call-in yet again. I should try to do that every week now.

Jimmy did a wonderful job on his music segment, the Kate's Motel part was awesome. He was a bit of a douche during the call-in portion, but what can I do, the man's British after all.

Colleen was a grade-A biatch, so I hope she bleeds to death on the sailing trip back to wherever the hell they live.

aimee is lost said...

And Ralph, Pickett's first name was Danny.

Ralph- said...

Danny Dennis whatever, that guy was a dick.

your call almost didnt make it in time. we luckily had a very brief delay in recording and i was able to check the calls one last time.

how about those audio levels? ryan decided to mix this time. thank ryan.. Thyan!

aimee is lost said...

Audio was fine this time, you guys did great! I wasn't planning on calling, but I was watching the episode again last night, and after that part where Colleen calls Sayid the Iraqi, I decided to. I didn't consider what time it was or when you'd be recording.

FRIDAY THE 13th. yess!

Jimmy said...

Yes...! Friday the 13th, and my clutch has gone and the cars in the shop!
Friday the 13th! Yeah!

aimee is lost said...

I put a hex on your car for picking on me, Jimmy. Voodoo dolls really work.

Happy 13th Ralph; let me know when you've done it!

Ralph- said...

probably when my sugar momma comes home at 5:15pm

OK - now I cannot get "Pearl Necklace" by Z Z Top out of my mind - damn you Ralph, damn you to Hellllll!!!!!!

Sorry if anyone was offended by that "Charlton Heston" moment on my part, nah - I'm not really sorry.

Nice podcast. Jimmy's music score segment is really quite impressive, only critism would be that i'd like the segment to be longer, more examples of similarities etc.

Just got round to listening to the latest offical lost podcast. Damon is getting really annoying (even more than Cuse). that whole pretend homoerotic relationship thing wasn't funny to begin with, now its just fucking irritating. Stupid thing is i'll still keep on listening.

Ralph- said...

if jimmy's segment is longer than you wont be craving more and not download us next week.

Mike Campbell said...

Great Episode guys, I haven't laugh so hard in awhile with that Pearl Necklace line.

This is a little random but:
http://www.bostondirtdogs.com/

Has a thing about the Red Sox being on Lost. I thought the comments under the picture were very funny.

Anonymous said...

A stick with a bomerang tied to it? What were you talking about?

Benjamin said...

It was A-L's main weapon for a while on the other side of the island. I can't find a good picture of it right now, but if I do I'll post a link to it.

Mike Campbell said...

Yes Locke returns. I hope its not one of those stupid Promos that trick us.

Stephanie said...

Pearl Necklace. I guess I'm a prude, the comment went right over my head.

Alex just popping up IS bizzare. Why did we have to know where the dress came from?

The music segment is just what us musically challenged viewers need to help appreciate the show.

this is too weird you have to see it

promo trailer 3
Next week's episode is gonna be great..

Is there any way I can subsrice to Myokom w/ Sas without getting the fucking dharmalars podcast? I hate their piece of shift chewing up my bandwidth, Craig and Ryan please let them have their own feed. Kmberly's lostdiary's only 8 or so mb but that's cool but iTunes automatically downloads 50mb od dharmalars bullshit every week because they're on the same feed as the real MYOKOM w/ SAS

aimee is lost said...

That's a great trailer, I'm really excited to get some of the old John Locke back. I know it's something we all wanted since he went all boo-hoo crybaby in season 2. That part where he's holding the knife was awesome.

Now if they could only do the same thing to Jack, I'd be really happy. But even more so if he were just dead. (are we noticing a pattern here yet?)

Datty Mike said...

How can you like myokom w/ sas, and not like the dharmalars??
Its the same brand of houmour.

Datty Mike said...

I liked the bit in promo 3 where locke points at claire and charlie and then boone says "not them, they'll be fine... for a while".
spooky!

aimee is lost said...

I think there might be some people on the forum or in the community that believe the feud is real, and aren't reading into the sarcasm.

Mike Campbell said...

Here are some Funny Gifs. Funny is good right about now. Sorry i don't know how to make it a link :(

Ralph- said...

Aimee,
the people that dont get it are flat out r-tards. we flat out tell people to listen to myokom, and myokom does the same.

aimee is lost said...

Those gifs were funny Mike.

Ralph, you're probably right. But without trying to sound like some kind of elitist, we can't expect everyone to pay as much attention as we do. If you really want to see some Lost 'tards, go to a Lost chat room, or the Fuselage, and you will see some true..er..not smart people.

Jimmy said...

You mean it's fake?

aimee is lost said...

Shut the hell up, you dirty Dharmalartian.

Ralph- said...

Whatever Myokomonmyface! oh snap.

but seriously, in no way do the dharmalars feel that they are better than make you own kind of music. the only reason the dharmalars exist is because we were trying to get myokom back on the air. the last time they did a lost episode it was live toegther die alone. i have a sneaking suspision that craig doesnt really know a lot about LOST and that he left it up to dylan to discuss the show. now that dylan is gone, craig is stuck scrambling trying to find out what the show is about. that is my theory and i am sticking to it.

Mike Campbell said...

Thanks a lot Ralph you are so wise. I will give it a shot sometime i find something to bore you guys with :)

aimee is lost said...

We all know Ralph's been riding Craig's coattails anyway...among other things. Don't believe that merchant of lies.

There was a rather large earthquake in Hawaii today. It was on the Big Island, so I don't know if Lost shoots at any locations there, but I know Honolulu airport's been affected, so it could affect shooting indirectly, with regard to logistics, etc.

aimee is lost said...

I've been reading WAY too much Harry Potter in a very short amount of time. So my head is very full of all this good versus evil stuff, especially now as I'm in the middle of #5, which seems to be taking the battle up a few notches.

But the Dharmalars are most certainly evil. For sure.

Mike Campbell said...

she takes a lot of shots at the government in the next two books. I felt she did an amazing job of making you hate certain people in the book.

aimee is lost said...

Order of the Phoenix (which I'm on right now) is very anti-government. It also happens to be one of the most depressing, frustrating, and anger-inducing books I've ever read. I want to punch it.

Stephanie said...

Next week, Shirtless Locke.

42. Plus this - went to get some professional photos done of me and the other half. All is well until we go to choose/ pay for the ones we want. The down payment was £108, and then we were refused credit, so we have to pay in full. Damn those numbers!

aimee is lost said...

Stephsmith, we're getting a whole lot more than that. Of Desmond. Mmm... Brotha... ahsfh fhfh fhdj...

Anonymous said...

Jesus, calm down Aimee!

Anyways, can someone help me out: i need to find out the name of the instrument used to make weird ooooeee noises by waving a metal stick around in front of an electrical type device. i know it's vague, but i want one!

Mike Campbell said...

Jimmy - I am not sure if this is what you mean but the blue man group use this:
http://www.blueman.com/about_bmg/about_music/airpoles.shtml

Sorry ralph i haven't figured out that whole linking thing yet

Anonymous said...

Close mike, but no cigar...on 2 fronts! firstly the instrument, but also my name. you can call me tim or jelly or manianos, but never jimmy. the boy from seattle holds that privelege. god bless you for responding so quickly!
i think the instrument might be called a styrophone or some crazy shit like that, it's the sort of mental thing that ralph would know

aimee is lost said...

Tim, that's the 2nd time Mike's called you "Jimmy". I didn't say anything the first time, I just laughed about it. I guess he just thinks because you're British you're all the same...lol.

Oh, and Tim, don't you dare tell me to calm down! As I recall on the previous thread, you and some dude named Joe were quite obsessed with boob talk. So don't even get me started. I'll talk about naked Desmond all I want.

Mike, I know exactly what you're talking about, but for the life of me cannot think of what the name of it is. I would think Ralph might know.

Benjamin said...

It sounds like you guys are discussing something similar to a theremin, but the waving a metal thing around is beyond me.

***Breaking News***
I just received an e-mail from the ABC store to inform me that my puzzle (The Hatch) has been shipped. That is all.

Jimmy said...

Jellyman!

I was leaning towards a theramin (thank you Ben) but was wondering if you meant this? The Stylophone.

http://www.hollowsun.com/vintage/stylophone/

I fucking had one as a kid...promoted to death by Rolph "Can you guess what it is yet?" Harris! The worlds first pen operated electronic organ !!!

By the way...you should post your glam pics of you with your better half!

J

aimee is lost said...

Yay Boner, good luck with the puzzle! I'm almost finished with The Others puzzle. All the pictures are completed, now I just have to get the hard bits of foliage and junk that interconnects it all.

Jimmy, I concur - I want to see some snazzy photos of Tim with his better half!!

Mike Campbell said...

Yeah my bad. I suck. I figured it was the thought that counts.

I lose my posting privileges for a day. I shall only look on and try to be a better SaSer next time.

Ralph- said...

i leave the computer for 2 hours and all this shit goes down.

Mike, call jimmy and tim whatever the hell you want, shit, call me doo doo head for all i care. as far as the hyperlink goes, the best thing to help you is by looking at the right side of the screen to see what is really going on.

jimmy (the one is seattle) what are these glamour shots you are talking about? put em up.

Ben loves the theremin, but we all know that you do not touch it, the theremin is an instrument in which tiny gelphlings play music to whatever melody you decide to wave around with your hand.

aimee i dare you to post something awefull on the blogspot.

jelly, what up biach? how are things on that side of the globe? fuck raven's crap, an i right?

anonymous, lick my nuts

aimee is lost said...

I was only tossing it back in Jelly's face for giving me a hard time (when he told me to calm down about getting excited about Desmond).

You have to understand the sort of competition I've got around here. I'm one of the only females on this blog, and I'm drowning in a sea of Sas-tosterone.

Ralph, you've already heard my filty little mouth, and everyone made such a fuss about it. I don't think I need to turn on the ugly. But don't you go start provoking me, because I will defend myself. Unless you're really bored. In which case, go right ahead.

Ralph- said...

no aimee, i dont mean that you post a comment. i mean post a thread!

Anonymous said...

OK, i've posted some pics on my blog (which incidentally, i haven't used for fucking ages!) That blog is here:
http://timjellyman.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_timjellyman_archive.html

And yes, a theremin it is.

Ralph, Shit is crazy boring over here in the UK, apart from Thursdays for about an hour and a half when we watch Lost, then Extras (which finishes this week - boo) and One Tree Hill... i know, i know, i'm sorry.

Jimmy said...

Tim,

Wow....I thought I dated hot chicks!

Very nice of you to share there, actually. Good one of the both of you. You both look very British, which is a funny thing for you to hear maybe. But it's true, as when you live away it becomes more apparent.

On another note, it's a tough assignment for the Dharmalars this week! I found the "Glass Ballerina" to be musically very ordinary. Oh well, something will come of it.
Cheers

aimee is lost said...

Sorry Ralph, it's so difficult to understand what people are talking about sometimes. Perhaps I'm just getting dumber. I don't want to post just because I can, but if I have something, I will. Awful, you say? Hmm...Email me when you're up.

Tim, your girlfriend is gorgeous! I'm interested to see the new glamour shots because I didn't realize you changed your hair so often (first time at your blog). Remind us when they're in!

Jimmy, good luck with the assignment this week. You could always make stuff up, like compare the Jae music to circus music or dueling banjos or something. I'm sure someone will believe it. This is the Dharmalars we're talking about; those guys will put out anything.

Jimmy said...

Are you implying the Dharmalars just make shit up?

You're probably right. I haven't watched Lost since Ana Lucia got shot :)

aimee is lost said...

I think you know exactly what I'm implying, you Dharmalartian propaganda peddler!

aimee is lost said...

How is it you can be really busy at work, but bored at the same time?

Benjamin said...

I think Jimmy should be something of an ambassador. You know, someone who can legitimately deal with the SAS and the 'Lars, but not suffer any reprisal. "Diplomatic immunity."

Hey, Ralph, can we use some theremin songs in the next podcast? You know how I dig on the theremin.

aimee is lost said...

Jimmy likes the attention.

Ralph- said...

we will play all kinds of theremin for the Halloween Spookylars Episode!

aimee is lost said...

I like Jimmy's new mugshot.

aimee is lost said...

Does anyone here watch the show Heroes? If so, kindly list the types of powers that the "hero" characters possess.

It relates to Lost.

Benjamin said...

I'll take a stab at it, since I half-assedly watch that half-assed show.

Isaac - Precognition (paints and draws the future, but the power may be heroin-dependent.)

Hiro - Control over the space/time continuum. Can teleport, freeze time and move around during the freeze, and travel in time. I guess you could call it chronokinesis.

Matt Parkman - Telepathy (this is Greg Gunberg's character.) So far he can hear thoughts, not project his own.

Niki - Unknown, really. Split personality amplified by bilocation, or telekinesis, or maybe she straight up crazy, honey.

Claire - Nigh invulnerable. Her body seems to take on damage, then repair. Recently a sharp piece of wood through her brain ceased her bodily functions, but once removed the healing kicked in again.

Nathan - Flight.

Peter - Unknown, really. May be a power chameleon.

aimee is lost said...

Wow Ben, thanks! This could turn out to be interesting then, I supposed depending on which power it turns out to be.

Latest Lost spoiler news is that one of the three button men is going to come back "transformed in such a way that gives him something in common with one of the heroes over on Heroes".

My money is on Desmond.

Ralph- said...

'"Attention Whore" is my middle name...according to the "Merchant of Truth"'

jimmy, what does this mean? i am here to back you up, if you need me to start some shit!

aimee is lost said...

That's going to be a interesting angle for one of losties to have a "superpower". I know it's kinda hokey, but assuming the writers would actually follow through on it this time (instead of dangling it in front of us like they did with Walt), it could actually be very cool.

Benjamin said...

That is interesting, Aimee. I wonder if it'll be a powers-based thing, or something more mundane. See, "something in common with one of those heroes" can mean that one of our hatch dudes could emerge with MPD (assuming that's what Niki has) or something like that. We shall see, and that excites me.

aimee is lost said...

Didn't that one cheerleader chick walk through fire, or an explosion or something?

Mike Campbell said...

I know i am not allowed to say anything but i am not impressed with that rumor. Why does someone on Lost have to have a "Super Power" is pushing the button not enough of a power? What about crying in the woods on cue? What about producing penut butter in an empty jar? Those are real powers

aimee is lost said...

Mike, why are you not allowed to say anything?

You make a point that, while it teeters on line of cheesy, is actual very valid. There are powers held by the losties that should be valued more than supernatural coolness, such as faith, humanity and imagination.

(cue the violins)

However, I am still excited to have seen a spoiler that is at least interesting than "someone will die".

I enjoy it when a character evolves (not changes completely), and the reason I'm interested in this one in particular is because I do think it's going to be Desmond. What does he have on that island, if not the button? Now that the button is gone, there isn't much to do with him.

Mike Campbell said...

I read the short episode thingy on Tivo for next week and it said that Des is going to start building something that the other losties find weird.

aimee is lost said...

At this point, how can they consider anything that happens on that island weird? They've only been beaten with a weirdness stick for about 60-something days straight. Their normality standards are too high.

Mike Campbell said...

aimee - clearly you have never been stuck on an island. You want to believe everything is ok. I am holding out for normality. I am holding out for an episode to end where i don't scream "What the Fuck" or "Fucken Lost" at the end of it :)

Jimmy said...

Desmond is making a replica of Hadrians Wall...

aimee is lost said...

Mike, no I have never been stranded on an island, so you'll have to fill me in on what that's like...call me a pessimist, or a realist, I would just expect that after all that's happened after such a short length of time, someone would believe there's no such thing as normal.

Come to think of it now, I believe if anyone has already thought or spoken along these lines, Hurley has. That is perhaps why he's so likable, because he says what many of us were already thinking.

Mike Campbell said...

I am excited to see Hurley i hope he is in this episode. I hope some of the stress of the past few days has been messing with him.

aimee is lost said...

A day or two's journey of walking alone with the season finale resting on his mind..oh yeah, he better be messed up.

Mike Campbell said...

Does anyone else think the Favor that Benry wants from jack is to be the new island doctor. Maybe their doctor died and season four will be Jack Sheppard island doctor. That does seem a little to simple but maybe they wanted a reasonable thing once in awhile

OMG!!! Finally my Internet is BACK!!!! and just in time for "Further Instructions"

Awesome podcast boys, btw, where are those lazy-ass Sassers?

Jimmy...I could listen to you talk all day *sigh* Great work!! I'm also in the same boat--how do you choose between the Dharmalars and the Sas? lol!!

Aimee...chica what happened to that "thing" we were going to do? (I know, not being online only added to the confusion) anyway...ttyl!

Everyone else...what's been going on? What did I miss?

Spoilerishnishness
so everyone knows at this point that Boone is going to pop up in a kooky Locke dream, seemingly mangled, probably similar to his "Teresa goes up the stairs" shining. But nobody is talking about what they think the Locke flashback will reveal.
Is his conman dad the real Sawyer? (i hope not, too fucking cute, like Anakin building C3PO)
Was Helen in on the con (i hope so. Her 'quirky' habit of checking the obituaries landed Locke at his dad's funeral.)
Is Locke's temp agency a subsidiary of Hanso?

I think the "Heroes" spoiler will turn out more mundane than a super lostie. I think Ecko is deaf and Locke is atleast temporarily mute. I haven't seen Heroes so i don't know if any of those characters are deaf or mute or walking around jungles stark naked, but the tabloid shows love to be clever with their spoilers. i can accept creepy kids with psychic powers, but i'd have a hard time accepting Ecko Man saving the day.

Because they supposedly switched "glass balerina" and "further instructions" in order after they were both in the can, i guess we won't see anything about the Hydra station, including whether Colleen survives her encounter with Sun.

loved the Dharmalar podcast, laughed heartily at the pearl necklace comment. It's a good thing Ralph & Ben are keeping the MYOKM feed active because the Scotts and Steves are slacking again.

one request, can you convert the Dharmalar podcast to MP3. The MP4 format doesn't work on my iPod at all.

andrew.

Anonymous said...

Good Afternoon, Spoilerishnishness!
I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble listening to the podcast. The m4a file format (also known as AAC) should be supported by your iPod. Please verify your iPod is running the most current software, and you have the latest version of iTunes. If issues persist, please let me know.
Great comments! No one loves the fact that Anakin built C-3PO more than Ralph.
