Seaman Speed sent us a letter!

Hey SaS fans, Seaman Recruit Speed here. Things are steadily sucking in boot camp, but hope crests on the horizion like a motorboat full of seabillies. I still have six weeks of hard times ahead of me, so if you want to shout out a good word you can do that at:
SR Speed, Jeffrey D.
Ship 14 Div. 158
3410 Sailor Drive
Great Lakes, IL 60088-3510
You Will actually have to send paper through a post office. You cannot do this on the internet. I'll do my best to write everyone back, but they don't give us a lot of time to write. And I don't care if you want to spoil me on what's going on with LOST. Keep me up to date on what's going on in your world and in the world of entertainment news. Make your own kind of correspondance.
Namaste, bitches & thugs,
DYLAN.

i think i will send him a sexy picture of myself so that he has something to dream about every night, when he clutches his pillow fearing the sound of that damn bugle!

He also added, he got yelled at during IT (intense training) because he could only do THREE sit ups! He says if he doesn't get his physical stature up, he may be back in the co-host's chair sooner than we think.

i will send cheesburgers!

craig, i thought about sending dylan a centerfold, do you think he would dig that?

are they allowed to have centerfolds pictures up in there bunks, like in the movies?

That's so fucking awesome, I'm so glad he wrote you (us)! That totally made my MYOKOM w/SAS day. At this moment, I don't even care about the podcast, because the MYOKOMw/SAS saga is still living on through the blog. Thank you Craig for posting that for us!

I'm sorry about the sit-ups; that's pretty bad! Of course, I'm one to talk because the PT (physical training) was the hardest part for my out of shape ass in boot camp. I'll definitely write him as soon as I'm done cleaning the house.

3 situps? That's freaking horrible you fatso!! :D
Just kidding ;) Not sure i can do much better.

But more importantly, awesome dude, you're way cool writing us like that!! I'll consider sending a letter from Belgium with Belgium entertainment news :D Lol it might not intrest you much, but who knows you may laugh your ass off :D
Keep stuffing your face with them burgers, mate ;) the podcast is patiently waiting.

I will be writing to that dude tomorrow! I'll send him a postcard.

I went all out. I just sent him a 3 page letter with 8 revelations of Lost that's he's missed so far. I also included pictures of the island diagram, translations, and the Henry Gale drivers license. I know, I'm such a nerd. But I think it's something he'd enjoy.

Wesh said...

aimee from little rock obviously rocks :) he's gonna be delighted with that intel.

jacksbeyotch said...

That so totally freakin' rocks! I was actually wondering about how he was doing the other day....as I longed for an update OR another MYOKOM w/SAS ep.

I would like to agree with Wesh...Aimee does in deed rock the hizzy!

Wait. Its not e-Mail he wants its ......like...... Mail? What?

aimee in little rock said...

HOLY SHIT, I didn't even notice this before. Locke was inspecting a house for Nadia, Sayid's long lost love!

dude! you're right!

if for no other reason, seaman speed will get kicked out when they realize he wears sweaters tied around his shoulders à la Carlton Banks.

aimee in little rock said...

Carlton Banks; that's funny

Jellymanianos said...

And this may be of some use to few, but did you notice the CGI planes flying Locke's head when he's in the car park at the hotel? Yep, that's right - both Oceanic Airlines. You have to look closely, but it's definitely the OA logo on the tail. Two fly over - one at the beginning of the scene, then one after his 'dad' pulls away in the taxi.

Jellymanianos said...

Grammar note: ...flying OVER Locke's head..
If the planes were flying Locke's head, that'd be interesting. Maybe they're just flying in his head!?

not to be an internet whore, but my firends have put up a Video Podcast on iTunes. it is really kind of lame, but if you want to check it out go to iTunes and search "associated films".

Ralph- said...

...you can see me in action

knotie said...

Hey, is there any way to download the older episodes? (meaning those which are not on iTunes - pre-hiatus ones...). Links on this site aren't active.

colin_cristopher said...

ralph, you are a whore.

i'm glad D sent us a missive, i'm missing the podcast though. i do have to admit i haven't watched the last three episodes yet, too busy with 24.

Ralph- said...

i know i am, but i figured that the few people that still visit this board, might want some entertainment, even if it is crappy entertainment.

Henry Gale is simply an "other." He saw the Hot Air Balloon crash after it dropped the food for the hatch-ers. The real Henry Gale is a DHARMA employee.

Ralph- said...

sounds good to me, but if henry gale was in dharma, than who burried him, and why wouldnt they try to covor it up, by getting rid of the baloon and burying the body less conspiculously?

mike hollywood/city of industry said...

I think the person who is pretending to be Henry Gale buried him. As you can see, from Lock down, this "other" showed a lot of compassion when Locke's legs were trapped under the blast doors, I would have no problem believing he could bury a lifeless body in a simple grave. He obviously saw Henry Gale’s id and stole his name.

Interesting read:
In the New York public library sets a small copper sphere known as the Lenox Globe. This 1503 artifact dates back to a time when the world, in its entirety, was yet to be explored. If you look closely at the Eastern coast of Asia near the equatorial line you can find the Latin words, hic sunt dracones, which translates to, here are dragons. These simple, etched words signified the end of "discovered" lands, words warning sailors of the uncertainty and dangers of the unknown. This warning held many a brave man in check but for a select few; it issued a silent challenge to push forward. These men recognized the fact that no true opportunity or progress can come without risk. They were willing to face their dragons. Malum consilium quod mutari non potest - It's a bad plan that can't be changed. (Publilius Syrus)

Ralph - I checked out your site last week; some of those films looked funny/cool. I was wondering when you were going to whore yourself out. Make a Lost movie; you can play Jack; he's kind of a whore too.

aimee in little rock said...

I'm assuming that "hic sunt dracones" is referring to the dark territory based on its reference and the fact that the black rock is in the same area.

Other thoughts: On the top where it says there's a manufacturing area with light industrial equipment, I'm thinking Widmore construction. It's probably their Regional Headquarters for the Mysterious Regions of the Uncharted South Pacific.

aimee in little rock said...

This is probably obvious to everyone already, but I'm also assuming that the "Cerberus" references are regarding the Black Smoke/Monster since Cerberus in Greek mythology was the "security system" that "guarded" the entrance to Hades.

Ralph- said...

all of this boggles the mind. do you think that Michael is actually heading to the Middle of the island? i think that territory has yet to be discovered. what if michael and walt are sipping hot cocoa in widmore's Industrial tower underground. maybe the monster is a psycological test. it tested echo, and maybe it tested michael, and michael's love of walt over powered the monster and allowed him to enter the "?". who the fuck knows? at least we have six more episodes left to get down to the nitty gritty, and get some answers.

Aimee, i can only make one facial expression, and that is "fat". so if you expect me to be anyone, it wouldnt be Jack. i would mostly resemble Bernard.

If any of you have seen Ham On the Street, i look just like that guy. i look like him so much, that my sister cant watch it, cause it freaks her out!

ham on the street looks like me...

The center of the island, otherwise known as "?" is also the home of "him". I'm going to speculate that "he" is the top island thug, and only special bitches like Zeke are allowed to go there. That's why the guy in the Swan station who drew the map didn't know what was there. The insignificant cronie bitches don't get the privilege of going there.

Ever since the "incident", all of those corridors from the other stations leading to "?" have been x'ed off. This is because the electromagnetic forces combined with some nuclear/radioactive shit they were messing with transformed "him" into some weird mutant thug.

Either that, or it's just Alvar Hanso, and he's a recluse that doesn't want his bitches in his face all the time.

Ralph- said...

i read somewhere that Alvar Hanso could be similar to Totenkov in Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. if you havent seen that one, the good guys are looking for this guy totenkov and it turns out that he has been dead for like 20 years, and his robot army that he had built is continuing what they were programmed to do.

what if hanso is dead, yet the island is still going on without him?

i wish i had a time machine, so that i could go into the future and buy all the lost dvds, then come back and throw a huge 8 day long lost marathon. you are all invited

FUCK CARLTON AND DAMON!
now they are making fun of people's haritage and homeland. the only thing they give us the skinny on, is that there is no Goblet Station. wow, thanks for the good word Captain Assholei

Yes,
I am beginning to think that the EW theory was right. I'm still a little stuck as to why the seabillies play dress up though!

So Hurley gets sick next episode? Is this "The Sickness"? Or do you think they might be playing with us, and he's mentally ill.

I was thinking that there has been so much about Hurley beign an ex mental patient...what if he only had a few days worth of meds on the plane? Is this what they are going to show?

The reason I say this is because I would imagine that as so much has been mplied about people getting ill on the Island after a couple of months, that if Hurley gets the sickness, and doesn't die it will be a cop out by the writers. I really think the first person to get sick should be a goner! And I have to say, I would be fine seeing Hurley get bumped off, I'm finding his character to be a bit tedious of late. But it's late at work and I'm %$%#&@ tired, so maybe that's it :)

Ralph,

I've never seen Ham on the St, so thanks for letting us see your doppleganger. Personally I'd prefer you to look like Nigella Lawson, but who am I to complain :)

aimee in little rock said...

I think that if someone became "sick", based on the Lost mythology, I don't think it would necessarily kill them on its own. The show has led me to believe that the "sickness" is some type of madness.

The "sickness" didn't kill Rousseau's team; Rousseau killed them. Besides Montagne losing his arm (apparently the dark territory did it), Danielle did it all. So if someone was going to die from the sickness, it'll probably be at the hands of someone else.

If you really wanted to think outside the box, you could say that Danielle was the one with the sickness all along.

Ralph- said...

fremontbrit, i had neve seen Nigella Lawson before, if i looked like her, i would not be on the message boards so much. By the staff of aaron, she is awesome

Ralph- said...

sorry to be a pig, but damn, she is beautiful! there is no way that you can argue that! later dudes, i'm going to the hatch

Meng the Boyfriend took lots of Latin in high school (so what if he's 25 now?!) so he's translating everything although everything has been translated. He's not nearly as obessesed as I am, so I'm going to let him do it and show it to me. "Wow! You're so smart, baby! I can only speak some Spanish!"

I'm composing a letter to Dylan right now so I'll give everyone a day to say something here I will pass it on if you'd like. Any suggestions for LOST goodness to send would be good, too.

Aimee:

Did you send Dylan the translated map? If not, I'll send it to him. It'll be a nice follow-up!

aimee in little rock said...

Katie, I sent him the letter, the map, a list of the translations, and a picture of Henry Gale's license.

Katie said...

Aimee, thanks. Good to know. I didn't want to send him the same thing twice.

PS: My playlist JUST started playing "Addicted to Love" by Robert Palmer. I'm sure you can see the humor in that!
