What is Dave?
This bald guy from Hurley's past shows up on the island, in the upcoming episode "Dave". I wonder what is on that Polaroid that "Senator Kelly" just took?

All I know is that the bald guy played Harry on Sex and the City.
I agree with Katie that this "bald guy" isn't really there. I also think that the "I'm sick" statement might be Hurley off meds, and not "The Sickness".
But when you consider Charlie has been having "Waking Dreams", Jack sees his Dad, Kate sees a horse etc. Who knows?
The paints in the background of the middle picture are similiar if not the same as the paints in the picture of Libby posted a week or so back (where she looks like my beloved Jodie). Chances are really, really high I feel that we will see Libby in Hurleys flashback. Peace.
Oh yes, her avatar is similar. I'm most likely enthralled by something that everyone saw last year! One of the first things I noticed was that Boone was in it, so I knew it was older.
Lovely weather today, in Seattle. Like it matters!
I have always thought that maybe Hurley commited himself to the mental hospital like some people do when they're depressed. Maybe he was just going through a rough spot and needed some help. He then befriended this "Dave" character who shows up on the island in his bathrobe and make Hurley think he's going crazy.
I'm probably way off but for some reason I've never thought their was something seriously wrong with Hurley and that he's commited himself into the hospital. But of course that would not make for good TV so I'm probably way off.
Jack has seen his dad kate has seen a horse and now hurley is seeing Dave I think the inland made them see people from their past.I think that is what the vaccine is for.(to stop people from seeing things on the inland)
I was wondering whether anyone knows what is now happening with the show. Will it be cont. as a solo project, will someone else come in, or is that it?
I'm not really into all this blogging stuff but have missed the show recently and so was just looking for some light at the end of the tunnel.
Good episode. I kind of saw the whole imaginary friend thing coming. No one but themself can be that bad of an influence.
It was interesting to find out a question and an answer all in one episode; normally they don't do that. (first the cryptic conversation about an "accident", followed by a conversation about him breaking a deck and killing 2 people).
It's a whole lot nicer than finding out about an "incident" in episode 3 and still not knowing what it is 14 episodes later.
We also received confirmation about another main character who has killed someone in their past.
Craig, i think that Libby is a Student, observing the "crazies" and taking placebos. there is no way that the producers are going to leave that twist as is. there is more to her story. she is not crazy. i am putting my foot down, and will wager anyone 100 chuck e' cheese tickets on this matter!
Who wrote this episode, a creative writing freshman? An imaginary friend??? How lame! This is the first episode that I thought the writing was very elementary.
And Ralph, I hope you're right about Libby being a student, I actually like that notion.
my local morning show, has some pretty interesting stuff to say about last night's episode. you can download that segment of the show here http://www.kroq.com/ondemand/index.html
its 12minutes long, and pretty entertaining. I AM FORCING YOU TO LISTEN!
So what did everyone think? Are we back to the "group therapy" theories? I've been reading a few boards here and there.
I have to say, Dave explanation as to why the numbers kept appearing and are so important seems to me like the only plausible reason. Libby's telling off of Hurley saying it's not all in his head as she experiences it too...well it turns out she was (or still is) there as well.
I bet Locke is a patient in the hospital and is still in his wheelchair..or he's a Dr there, but still in his wheelchair.
It makes me wonder about when Henry Gale (or whatever his real name is) has repeated "So much has happened to these people. They are looking for someone to blame". I always thought he knew abotu there pasts, and was not actually talking about what has happened whilst on the Island. Anyway...
Not a bad episode, could have been a bit better I thought.
I'd also like to add that if I was a Lostaway and found out that not only had someone been stashing (a lot) of food, but that in removing the guilt he and another had destroyed it all in a giggly cleansing fit of flirtiness, I'd have banished them myself.
I've got to agree with Craig on this one, this episode was very mediocre. They never really gave us any new info.
What is up with "Henry Gale"? How come they don't interogate him constantly until he gives in?
I was waiting for something big to happen in this episode but nothing really did (other than revealing Libby was in the hospital with Hurley, but most people suspected that already).
I hope they pick it up again next episode.

P.S. Stop making me come to this site even though the podcast is no more, it's really annoying
I feel like most of this season blows, with the exception of Eko's episode and maybe What Kate Did and Maternity Leave. I think I just watch because I have convinced myself that I love the show, based on an awesome first season. In my opinion it was a mistake to add the tail section people. I like them for the on-island action (and interaction), but in terms of flashbacks the writers are just all over the place and it takes way too long to get back to the main characters from last year. By the time we get there I hardly care anymore. And I completely agree with Craig. Last night's episode was pretty close to shark jumping if you ask me. I still have a little too much faith in the writers to believe the whole mental hopspital scenario some of you guys are toying with, but that faith has been shaken for sure.
GOD this episode pissed me off! I hated it when Joss Whedon did it on Buffy and I hate it on Lost. Gosh, maybe it is all imaginary from a mental institution! That would explain the craziness. I agree with Craig. Lame-ass writing, and horrible, horrible potential cop-out.
IMHO none of the Hurley episodes have been very good. There was obviously some good mythology (ie. the numbers) established in the first one, but overall the episode was jokey and stylistically aberrant.
I understand that Hurley is the comic relief (when Sawyer isn't the butt of the joke) but smart comedy comes from well developed characters and not just punctuated dialogue. dude. which is why Hurley is funny on the island when juxtaposed with sourpusses like Jack, Jin or Sayid.
This season knocked me on my ass with the first couple of episodes and the Dharma Initiative. It felt like they were willing to go down some dark paths. Other than a few TV cliches (the imaginary friend, the long con... the team of scientists that dress up like castaways and try to cut out your baby...) i'm still excited.
I'd like to take this opportunity to vote for more MYOKOM, it was my favorite podcast.
I agree with the potential cop out if it is all in their heads and they are in a mental institution. But, even if it turns out to be the case, there must be a lot too it? They are all experiencing the same basic thing, there are "the others", and (as Andrew mentioned) a ruse of sorts with dress up scientists and riddles. So there is obviously some manner of control going on.
I'm still leaning towards a mass group therapy session, with counselors and Dr's being inserted into the illusion.
I have to say though, I find the comic relief to be really tedious now, be it Hurley or Sawyer.
my wife did not see it coming. at the moment when Dr. Brooks showed Hugo the Polaroid, she audibly GASPED! i know that it was all obvious to us. whether we saw the spoiler pics or just saw it coming from around the corner, but to be honest with you, i kind of wish that it fooled me too. oh to be innocent!
I know I've missed out on the blog for the last few days, but who the hell is this anonymous asshole that's talking shit about Dylan joining the Navy and killing innocent third world people?
I don't know what I hate more; the fact that that person is talking shit about Dylan (and U.S. Servicemen), or that the person has absolutely no balls and has to post as an anonymous person because they're afraid of people knowing who they are. And don't give me that shit about not having a blogspot login name.

Are they all off their meds? Hmmm...
And whilst I'm at it,
was reading an article on MSNBC about Terry O'Quinn and his character. And they included this link to the British TV (Channel 4) promo for Lost.

videos/lost_music.html
I've cut it up so the link fits. Kind of cool if you have never seen it.
Were there any kinds of promos like this in the US? None that I am aware of. If this is old news, apologies in advance.
Cheers all.
And here I am again!

Peace.
i have seen that uk promo before, i think it is what Katie's avitar is from.
as for the craziness of Hurley?
that dude is nuts. i just hope that this dave dude does not turn into the Lost's version of the Great Gazoo

Lovely weather today, in Seattle. Like it matters!
it's fraking pouring rain right now in Orange County.
btw, folks from orange county call it OC, and not THE OC! it isnt The Orange County. just Orange county!

that would be cool. that way we would not have to listen to aaron whining like a little baby all day long.

i think senator kelly has taken a polaroid of hurley to proove DAVE isn't really standing beside him. just a thought.
nice and bright, if a little cold in glasgow today btw.
but what if dave shows up in the picture, or maybe a ghost. what if senator kelly is not there either?
Um....anyone notice that the official lost podcast are now blatantly copying MYOKWSAS.
Lost revelations. You really need to make another podcast man....
5 revelations?? C'mon Carlton! You're biting the Sas!
i believe that the 5 revelations refers to something that was stated by the promo for "lockdown". oh yeah plus carlton can suck it.

i wonder if craig still watches lost? maybe he is waiting for dylan to get back so that they can watch them together.
Why does anybody keep coming here?
This podcast is dead.
Craig or Dylan went off to the US Navy to kill innocent third world civilians, and whoever is left just doesnt care to do the podcast.
It has maybe 3 or 5 loyal fans, and thats it.
Just close it down, admit it.
Shame, damn good podcast too!
dylan is in Illinois.

To Anonymous,
You said: "Just close it down, admit it."
Admit what? No one is disputing the fact there hasn't been a podcast since Dylan left. Nobody's forcing you come to this site.

these guys are pretty lame, with the exception of ralph(not me), who is a voice of reason. but they do call the "Hatch" a Bunker!
