I just wanted to say here and now that I am totally misrepresented in this podcast. Apparently a guy isn't allowed to be friends with more than one member of the female gender. :P

Great work Kimb. I know how much hard work you put into this stuff. Can't wait til the next edition when Aimee discusses her trip to Seattle. When should we expect that one? January? lol. I kid because I care. You and Aimee are both awesome. Talk to you both tomorrow. ;)

Christopher does wait for iTunes to catch up. Could get it elsewhere, but iTunes is neat and you get subscription numbers from it.

Must
Be
PATIENT.

Chris JC said...

Actually - Christopher notice his TLI update has this date on it but says Summer Spoilers 2 and is a 9 minute MB and Mac-tacular.

Is this a bonus feature?

PalmerEldritch said...

MB's spoiler section is a seperate podcast this week.

now, please, no christopher smash!

Now I just wish iTunes would pump the girls into my ears.

That's what I said.

There's an interesting time slot rumor over at The Tail Section. I'm so enjoying my TLI x 2. Great to hear Kim, Aimee, MB and Mac.

Thanks for the links Elias, some of those animals are interesting to say the least, some just seem weird, like the zonkey.

holy crap! cute alert. this one's for Kim as reward for posting the new TLI.

Kirk Cameron is hilarious. Not on purpose but still hilarious. We get two Bible channels (not that we want to) and one of them had Way of The Master on for a few hours. Hilarity ensued.

I love the Way of the Master "Good Person Test. Fantastic. And reminds me of The Others.

memphish said...

Way to tie it back to LOST Palmer. I think the Others are certain they are "good" enough for whatever it is they are up to. Apparently Cindy is good enough too. Jack is not good enough. WTF is it? Aaarrrggghhhh.

I was thinking of all the things that will happen before LOST comes back on -- Halloween, Thanksgiving, Xmas, my birthday, my anniversary, 2 trips via airplane, another 3 via car, hell even the Super Bowl (I'm guessing). Now I'm depressed. So is the sky in Memphis. It is crying.

Listening to TLI, it's like listening in to a slumber party.

Oh and for the record, I wasn't talking to Jordan. Maybe it was Holli or Steph. ;)

Well holy podcast overload Batman I can barely keep up with all of it. Sweet. I even got my own separate episode - I feel so special

Thanks KIM!! THIM!

And here's a benefit for listening to a month old spoiler section (b/c the spoiler guy hasn't updated it):
unless you have been trying REALLY hard to avoid spoilers (which includes NOT going to Comic Con) you've probably already heard all the spoilers in this podcast - so listen away, you've heard all of it...probably...OK I can't back that up - listen at your own risk ;)

Listened to the other two last night, and Aimee & Jordan's porn shop visit.
Aimee/Jordan - had I known that is how you guys like to spend your time, we could've gone to the Castle Superstore - what the hell were we wasting time at a bookstore for? (joke) I kid - if we hadn't gone to Powells we wouldn't have found Wesh!

And speaking of that...Hey Wesh! Good to see you! I'm sure you've said a bunch of times and I forgot but what IS that thing you use for your av?

More spoilerish stuff out there yesterday & today - I will try and update the SPLOG as soon as I can.

Speaking of whipping it out - one of the funnier moments on the Daily Show recently.

[ally] said...

And I thought my co-workers were weird. I hope no one ever decides to whip it out here, cause everybody's old and the last thing I wanna see while at work (or anywhere, for that matter) is someone's old wrinkly balls.

/hahaha, i just said balls.

PalmerEldritch said...

yeah... wonderful that police officers are whipping out their junk in front of people. yeah...

too bad aimee didn't have a taser in her desk. :)

Trevor McFur said...

Whipping it out always makes me think of this.

PalmerEldritch said...

trevor, i was thinking more along the lines of this. *nsfw language*

by the way, all this whipping it out is probably illegal. not to mention creepy as all fuck.

[ally] said...

It probably very much is illegal but after all isn't he a cop? So he feels he can get away with it.

memphish said...

DarkUFO, but not ABC yet, is confirming the reported rumor that LOST is going to air on Mondays at 8 PM EST/PST. Comments?

Holli

memphish said...

My comment is that I won't be able to watch it "live" anymore because that's 7 pm CST and kiddo is still up and about. Which leads to the dilemma, do I watch taped LOST, then taped Heroes. Do I watch live Heroes, then taped LOST. Do I make my husband give up CSI:Miami b/c it sucks and I want the big TV? I guess I've got 5 months to figure it out at least.

I'm not sure I'd be able to keep up the Ghostwatch Voice for too long in public anyway.

Although I do offer a solid gold guarantee not to whip it out. And you can go to the place that, according to the establishing shot, Desmond and Penny got the picture taken, just so you can say "yeah, right".

On the lost side of the discussion: I'm so fucking excited about the mysterious invaders!! I seriously can bare wait to see that story develop!

I completely forgot what we had discussed (like the whip-it-out cop), since that was all recorded over a month ago. We need to do a post-Seattle podcast now!

Jordan was not misrepresented as he claims to have been; he's a total player and he knows it.

MB, you are truly spectacular and it was awesome hanging out with you in Portland. Because of you, I can now say I've eaten quiche (and actually know what it is).

I listened to our drunk calls on the 'Lars...I'm so retarded. I miss Nick the bum! Jordan failed to mention how we walked into a nudie booth place and overheard this dude getting it on with himself. Hi-larious.

PalmerEldritch said...

hey, aimee. why the hell didn't you judo throw Officer Shortstack? that's some nasty shit.

[ally] said...

We def need to hear more about what happened in Seattle/Portland. Kim's been traveling, too, right? Maybe we can hear more about her trip(s) too. I just hope she didn't have any more encounters with guys and their junk on their phone.

Stephanie said...

Jordan, I am jealous because we haven't talked in so long.
I have no "whip it out" story to tell. Should I be relieved? What pay-off do these guys get for showing their junk?

Jordan said...

I'm demanding a chance to defend myself on the next TLI. So convenient to make me look bad when I'm not around.

Yeah Palmer. Right on. Aimee so should've kicked that dude's ass. That's what I was telling her at the time. Actually, that's what led to her and Kim discussing it on the show. I couldn't believe that Aimee was just letting it slide and told her off for allowing it to go unpunished. Being a dude and knowing this guy's past behavior, I knew that her ignoring it would be a signal to the douche that it was all good. I told Aim that most girls wouldn't put up with that kind of crap. So I told Kim the story, saying it happened to a "friend" of mine, so as to get her 100% honest opinion. Had I said it was Aim, she would have likely defended her a bit. That's the only reason I didn't say anything. Plus, I respect people's privacy. Rake me over the coals for it, why don't you! :P

Steph. Yeah, sorry bout that. I'll try and write you as soon as I get the chance. I can only juggle so many internet ladies at once. ;) Been meaning to fill you in on some of the movies I've recently watched. Still trying to get through that damn Inland Empire! Every time I sit down to finish it, I fall asleep and proceed to have the most messed up dreams. If you heard Aimee and myself call in to the dharmaline, you would have heard me recommend The Lookout. If you haven't seen it, I highly suggest you do!

Right on Ally. That's what I suggested to Kimbo & Aim the other day. That they do a show recapping their travels. Even though it's not Lost, at least it's something, right?

Nice to see everybody back on the 'spot. Good times.

Stephanie said...

I did see The Lookout and loved it. You stick Kontroll in your queue and send it all the way to the top- it's that good. Set in the Budepest subway system, a hooded figure is pushing people in front of the trains.

Unknown said...

In defense of my lack of action regarding Officer Shortstack, he was a friend of mine prior to the incident, and at some point took a turn for the bizarre.

Since we used to talk as friends at work all the time, I was giving him the benefit of the doubt that if I was straight/strict with him, he'd go back to normal.

I guess I give people a little too much credit!

Jordan said...

And in Aimee's defense, she did stand up to the guy and let him know that shit wasn't cool. Would've been better to do so right away. But as she pointed out, she had her reasons. But good on her for realizing that enough is enough. Seriously ladies, you don't have to put up with that stuff.

*The More You Know*

Trevor McFur said...

I watched The Lookout last night, and thought it was great. Jeff Daniels and the guy that played Gary, in particular, were very good.

I'm on podcast overload, hipefully I can get caught up over the weekend so I know what the hell everyone is talking about! Why is it, that whenever 'it' comes out, it's always whipped?

PalmerEldritch said...

trevor, maybe the speed and ferocity with which it is travelling is breaking the speed barrier?

jordan, we're in agreement. there's only one dong acceptable to take out in public. otherwise, a beat down is in order. uh... poor choice of words.

/oh, sexy girlfriend!

[ally] said...

I will stick The Lookout in my queue. For the record, Jordan is my Netflix friend and that's about as much communication as we have, wait... that does make me one of his "internet ladies"...

PalmerEldritch said...

uh-oh. jordan sent me a message on my PS3 the other night... does that mean...?

yeesh. what a player. that guy gets more ass than a toilet seat.

Jordan said...

Palmer! I thought we both agreed to keep that a secret! lol.

That stranglehold demo is pretty cool though, eh? A bunch of new demos came out yesterday. Fifa 08, NHL 08, Tony Hawk, some goofy racing game, and Harry Potter. I played them all except Harry Potter. Glad they are starting to put out more updates. The Tiger Woods and NBA Live demos are pretty fun.

PalmerEldritch said...

stranglehold's great. play through a few times and increase the difficulty level each time and you get access to all four of the "Tequila Bombs." Barrage and the last one (crazy spinny move of death) kick ass.

Also, Precision Aim is pretty snazzy. Shoot a gun from the guy's hand, shoot him in the neck, etc. Muhahahahaha!

Man, we're a fucked up society. We were playing that demo on my friend's big screen TV in front of his one year old.

good times...

Jordan said...

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing. Especially when using precision aim. Felt a bit bad for getting such a kick out of shooting a bunch of asians in the face. Try shooting a guy in the nuts with precision aim. Pretty funny and quite the long death.

Ralph & Ben--just finished your latest podcast... I'm disappointed in your lack of Canadian knowledge, and that we are the butt of all your jokes. Why do you hate us so badly? Yes, it is BADLY.

FYI, Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories.

British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island

Northwest Territories, Nunavut and the Yukon

As a Canadian, I know the US has 50 States

Stick that in your que and smoke it!

PalmerEldritch said...

nobody remembers PEI.

t-dot kim said...

Also, James, 206, and AILR... thank you so much for that podcast. I truly enjoyed it. It was very well done--even if you were bombed for part of it.

Dharmalars, I also liked your latest cast (overall). I unfortunately saw Shoot 'Em Up and didn't like it. The guys behind me thought it was the greatest movie of all time, and I wanted to barf. The You All Everybody segment--OMG, I was laughing out loud. I probably woke up the neighbourhood.

t-dot kim said...

P, you're right...nobody does

[ally] said...

well kim showed us! i think i'm as clueless as can be when it comes to canada. i know very little about it. maybe we all need to get daily lessons on canada from kim. i guess the provinces and territories is lesson 1.

Jordan said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Jordan said...

Living in southern Canada, I think it's safe to say that I'm probably more knowledgeable about our neighboUrs to the north than much of the country. But as Kim can attest, that knowledge is still pretty lacking. Sorry Canada. What can we do to make it up to you? What if we all take up curling?

t-dot kim said...

LOL... it will be my pleasure Ally. As someone from the 206 likes to point out, I'm SUPER Canadian. But, I'm not going to inflate that person's ego anymore by talking about him/her. (Even though he/she is an internet whore)

Ally, a little trick to remember the provinces and territories, if you look at the Canadian flag, each point on the Maple Leaf (excluding the stem) represents a province or a terriroty--13 in all.

memphish said...

I don't like sweeping my house, much less ice.

I'll count that as lesson #2, Kim. So, you're super Canadian? What's your superpower? A lof of Canadian knowledge?

Aimee -
Very kind words ma'am - it was really excellent hanging out with you and Jordan. And to be honest, if I had anything to do with you trying and liking Quiche, then I think my work is done here. :)

RE: officer shortstack -
you are indeed an awesome person and that asswipe is (as I'm sure you agree) mentally batshit. While he certainly deserves multiple nad-crunching punts to his junk which he apparently loves to whip out, you do show enormous grace in taking the high road with a former friend.

However, since I also agree with Jordan and Palmer that he DESERVES a nut-cruncher, do you have any large friends who could make a problem like him disappear? ;)

....if anyone asks - this conversation never happened.

And, re: Jordan - forget internet chat - he actually came to my f-in HOUSE - so what does THAT mean!?! Well, don't worry Jordan...I know your not a one PERSON type of guy, and I'm just glad we had some time together. ;)

I'm going to try to record another one this weekend - you can either post it up, or if you and Aimee are planning on recording soon, tag it on that.

and re: Canada - I love that place, and have thought about actually moving there a few times. to be honest I've only been to Victoria and Toronto (incl. Niagra of course), but based on just that I'd consider living there.

Everytime a lack of Canada-knowledge is displayed in my household, the wife and I quote Jim Carrey almost without fail. note the shirt he apparently took with him from In Living Color

Trevor McFur said...

I need to rant. I fucking HATE Pottery Barn. Not because they're overpriced, not because a shopping excursion there is the seventh level of Hell, but because they manufacture JUNK. My wife bought this recently, and tonight was the night to put them on the wall. Half of the drywall mounts broke with a single turn of the screwdriver. Three of the screws were stripped BEFORE I even touched them. Neither of the sconces line up flush with the wall when they're all screwed in. A job that should have taken 20 minutes took a hour and a fucking half because Pottery Barn makes SHIT.

OK, I have a beer, and I feel better. They did get up onto the wall eventually. I will admit, they look pretty good, although I need to make a trip to the Depot tomorrow to buy a couple of screws that aren't stripped. And for all my trouble, I'm almost guaranteed to get me some loving tonight.

Yeah, I feel much better now...

Which video MB? I think it loads them randomly. I got the one about lightning during a Rep. candidate debate which while funny didn't have anything to do with spoilers. But on a LOST note, Oliver's description of God's message with the lightning reminded me of TPTB at LOST, "gods of insinuation, cryptic gestures open to all sorts of interpretation" vs. giving us thunderbolts straight to the temple.

Hey! Superbad was finally released in this country yesterday. Saw it today in a cinema that, as its fullest had four people in one of whom was near-wife.

It's jolly good.

We basically wanted our last unmarried date and had Superbad, Shoot em Up and a meal lined up with Shoot em Up being first - but based ENTIRELY on the reaction it got from you guys, it got dropped and Superbad went front and centre which turned out to be a fine, FINE choice.

I'll still try to see Shoot em Up, but it looks like it's not going to be anywhere near as much good dumb fun as I'd hoped.

Johnny Ghostwatch said...

Soon-wife has never quite understood me when I say I find it awkward to watch, say, Christina Ricci or Fairuza Balk in sex scenes as I still think of them as the child versions.

She finally caught up with much the same feeling watching a bit more of Michael Cera in Superbad than she was comfortable with.

hey-o blogspotters.
i'm at work, listening to the Steelers game on the radio. Awesome opening drive so far.

Great week from the MYOKMwSaSers. Thanks for all of the podcasts. I can't believe we've got 5 months before getting back to the island.

I've known people like Officer Shortstack, not policemen, but arrogant dudes who straight out ask my friends if they can fuck them. The most obnoxious thing about it is that it never gets them in trouble. My friends are usually so shocked that they have to justify it in their own heads and pretend it was a joke. Dudes are just classified as dogs, but it's somehow endearing.

I watched 300 last night. I liked it. I spent the whole time trying to see Paulo through Xerxes make-up, and laughing every time McNulty was on screen.

I also caught up with Weeds, the Showtime series. It's a good sitcom. I really like all of the characters. Shit just keeps going wrong though and it kind of gives me an ulcer.

what's up with yinz?

Trevor McFur said...

Wow, finally caught up on the podgasm of last week. Office Shortstack ... what can you say? I personally have never 'whipped it out' in public. 'Whipping' it out implies a sudden, unexpected, and unwelcome appearance of it, so I'll say that I've never whipped it out in private, either. But I did know a couple of guys in college who used to whip it out on a regular basis. One in particular, you'd be sitting there watching TV or whatever, and he'd say something like, "Hey Trevor McFur, someone's looking at you," and you'd turn, and there would be it, status-post whip out. He was also, supposedly, straight, but all of the whips outs usually occured in the presence of other guys. Strange behavior. He disappeared from campus after sophomore year and we never tried to find out what happened to him...
