i havent thought of a single theory in the last few months. i have been busy. but now, i am ready to get back into lost mode, but i still cant think of any theories to start up. anyone up for a convo starter about LOST?
Ben said he has been there his whole life. But what about Ralph's new fav. There are rumor that her and ben were lovers or brother sister. Has Juliette been there her whole life?
I don't think so. I believe she was brought to the island to help with the population problem they are having. I could see her coming to the island, don't ask me how i don't want to guess thats an answer i will wait to be told about, New to the others but was voted most likely to achieve in high school and needs to live up to the title. She needs more power on the island. Maybe moves in with Ben, the person in power (We think), so she could get some of that power. She doesn't get as much as she thought so she breaks it off with him and starts trying to grab people in the shadows far away from Ben's cameras.
i think that Juliette is actually Henry Gale's wife. that's right, the same henry gale that Ben Linus knew all about, even though he did not have the wallet with Id.
Ben has the ability to promise people what they want and delivers on his promises. He may have promised Juliette something, but has yet to deliver because he does not want to lose her.
that is why there is a power struggle. she is waiting to get what she had bargained for, and he does not want to give it to her cause he is in love.
final word: Juliette came in on the hot air balloon!
Who else thinks that Tom aka Mr. Friendly is Christian Shepherd's gay brother who ran away from home at age 13 only to be legally adopted by Alvar Hanso and taken to the island?
I too watched the Starbucks crank call. Very cool presentation all around. As a mac guy, I need that fucking phone! And if you want a laugh....
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xXNoB3t8vM
Ralph...
I do like the Juliette in the balloon thing. I can guarantee we will actually see the fate of "Real Henry Gale". I've always been very interested in that, and have hoped it never went the way of "The New Sheriff".
thanks jimmy, that was great. I really like the new iphone, it looks nice and sleek, a bit pricey though...
So, who wants to bet how many episodes it will take for us to be taken back to the black rock this season, i really wish we could get more information on it. While the lost exp. this summer did give us some stuff that still remains as one of my bigger unanswered questions..
Ralph: sun and jin i belive were going to deliver watches to Mr. Piek's business partners in australia and america i think.. could be wrong..
Aimee, I'll remember Brian in my prayers as well as this Iran thing. BSG- Start with the miniseries, that's what they call the pilot. Don't expect much from it, it's ok. The episode after it is 33. It's my favorite so far, along with the one where Starbuck and Apollo beat the hell out of each other. So very dramatic. I've figured out why I enjoy this show so much- the stakes- I feel like I, myself have a stake in the series. It's all about the survival of the human race. You have seasons one, 2.0, and 2.5 on DVD, along with the miniseries. Season 2.5 is the second half of last year. Season 3.5 will start this Sunday at 9 central. I have a link to stream every episode but I don't have it at the moment. Scrubs musical tomorrow night! I've been hearing about this thing for months. "Guy Love" brought tears to my eyes. What I love about THIS show is, besides the quirky humor, is the friendship between JD and Turk.
I think Juliet was born on the island but left to go to med school. I think she has telekinetic powers like Carrie and Ben is afraid of her. She may have a daughter that Ben took from her. At one time, I thought Christian was important but now I think he's like Yemi and the horse. I'm afraid Kate will end up preggers with Sawyer's baby next season making this a lame soap opera.
scrubs is too jokey for me and the over use of rim shots is off putting to me, BUT i do respect scrubs and find myself liking it every now and again. at least there is some cleverness behind it, which is way more than i can say for most TV now a days.
Casey, I think something's wrong with me. The Office isn't funny to me this season. I watched season 2 recently and enjoyed it immensely. And I went back and watched the first few shows from this year and didn't laugh a bit.
hmm, thats odd steph, I am really enjoying this season maybe you are watching it wrong, check the menu setting on your tv and make sure the color, sharpness, brightness, etc. is correctly adjusted that might help
also, even though it was 1 10 episode season, I really love Stella, speaking of which, how was the showalter black show ralph?
Stephanie D'Abruzzo is going to be on Scrubs: The Musical tonight. She was one of the Leads in Avenue Q. The writers of the musical wrote the scrubs episode, so i am uber excited. If Ben were aroudn i am sure he would share my excitment.
Darn you Ralph and Steph those are both amazing ideas. One day i will come up with a clever one :)
did anyone listen to the Comic News Insider interview with Michael Emerson. They fricken asked him if the Others were Cylons. Darn BSG showing up everywhere i turn. Fight it Aimee!
I'm going to smack down Ralph's Juliet theory, simply based on the spoiler images I've seen. We'll see that her flashback connection is with someone on that island, but not with Blenry Gale. Her reason for being there is going to be scientific, not hot air balloonish.
Sayid's episode will be episode 11 on March 7th (titled "Enter 77"), so I guess that's technically 'early on', since we'll have 23 episodes. I hope it's a good one, because I miss Sayid probably more than anyone.
Jimmy, you just couldn't resist, could you?
Sun & Jin were in Sydney on their way to deliver the watch to someone in the U.S. (hence, the reason they boarded a flight to L.A.)
I want that fucking iPhone.
I've loved Scrubs since the very first episode, although I went through a few seasons where I didn't watch it very much - I think that was during my CSI phase.
I'll fight it, Mike. Maybe I'll buy the DVDs after Lost SE3 is over; I'm oblivious to the world while Lost is running.
I hope Michael Emerson sticks around. We need a good villain on the show, now that Sawyer is "one of the good guys". No one can send a chill down my spine like Mikey Emerson.
i hate spoilers, it totally takes away the shock when I am watching the show, I wouldnt look for spoilers for a movie so why should I look for spoilers for my favorite tv show?
I'm pro-spoiler to a certain degree. I don't mind a few hints, tip, etc, but when that detailed call sheet for the season 2 finale came out on the interweb, I drew the line. I don't want to know everything, but it's fun to have something to build speculation on, like guest stars, mysterious clues, etc.
We never get all the answers - you know that, and there's never been an episode where I lost any amount of "shock and awe" because I read a spoiler.
yeah i hate spoilers but i am too weak not to look. But i haven't been looking much lately. I just listen to what aimee says now. she will do all the work for me. i am sure when the show starts back up i will be heading over to spoilerfix.com but till then i am trying to kick the habit.
Steph...unbelievably I never ever thought about a Kate pregnant soap opera...but God, I hope not. At least Sawyer has a few pregnancy tests in his stash! Yeah, that would really piss me off as we have the Sun pregnant thing too. I have so much trouble caring for Sun's character.
Steph again...Wow..we have the same favorite episodes of BSG (more or less). I thought the acting in "Unfinished Business" was really good...powerful. I thought Mary Mcdonnell came across as quite beautiful in that one (showing my age).
Can I just state, that I have learned over the years not to fight watching a show that everyone really gets into. It took me 3 seasons to find the X-Files. It took 2/3rds Season 1 of Lost to get me into it. My point being (and I know I rattle the board a bit when I say it) that I honestly believe at this moment that BSG is a better show. Totally different, yes. But I feel a bigger satisfaction, and as Steph mentioned, there is something really compelling about mankind being reduced to 38,000 people fighting desperately to survive. It leaves you satisfied too...moves forward, has cliffhangers and turns that really work.
Anyway...apparently Seattle sucked a raw one on AI last night!
i really wanted the Others (Tom, Ben & crew) to be Dharma, but, now that we've learned more about them and seen what nasty, petty people they are, i don't. i'm really into the idea of the hippy scientists trying to create a utopia through a combination of eastern philosophy and cutting-edge technology. i imagined them being infiltrated, via the Hanso Foundation, by war profiteers who subtly steered their work towards weapons development. The "collapse" of Dharma happened when the scientists realized what was going on and they fought back, unleashing some of their new technology in defense. I think Ben & Co are seperate from Dharma because they didn't know about the sailboat and thus couldn't have known much about Kelvin & Desmond. I also think that these were the seperate factions of others that Lindelcuse were refering to (Benco vs. Dharma) and never bought into the whole "savage others" thing (spoilerish: especially now that Cindy is hanging out in Hydra)
i'm currently out of grand theories, but i blame a lack of episodes and any clues.
I was anxiously expecting to see Seattle Jimmy walk through those doors in his biker jacket, and belt out singing "Make Your Own Kind of Music" in front of Paula, Randy, and Simon.
What a disappointment. Jimmy must have chickened out.
Jimmy, I was referring to you bringing up the old "new sherriff in town" talk - you used to do that ALL the time, and I used to give you crap for it...
It's sad, Aimee, but true. I seem to be hanging onto that "New Sheriff" disappointment. I need to let it go :)
I can tell you all now, that if I had in fact auditioned for American Idol (despite being 12 years older than the age cut off) I would have sung "Shilo" by Neil Diamond. 2nd choice "September Morning".
Think about it like this ralph-, You could be turning 40.;) 30's not so bad. Just think of the wisdom you've gained in your 20's. The only bad thing about turning thirty- your matabolism comes to a screeching halt, or mine did at least.
Don't yell at me, but I'm not liking the fact that I turn 27 next month. I don't want to turn 30, and it's coming at me so fast. Ralph, panic and be pissed off all you want.
Wow and i was worried about turning 25 in July. Thanks everyone for making me feel so much better. Don't worry about your age. Time happens we all support you and maybe we can figure out a way to slow time together!
Aimee - i have a lot of driving to do tomorrow can't wait to hear you on another podcast. Remember your roots when you get all famous ;)
Aw shucks Mike. A lot of people had some great points (regarding the debate), so it was fun to listen to.
I just watched Jimmy's TPIR recon video; I didn't even know it was there. That one dude with the glasses reminded me a character on SNL by Will Forte. I didn't mean to laugh, but it was still funny.
Oh yeah, and Ralph does an AWESOME Kate impression in that other file. How the hell did you do that thing with your voice? It's uncanny!
I wonder if I'm the oldest poster here, at 46. (Gasp!) Actually I feel perfectly fine about my age, so those still in their twenties, shouldn't have much to complain about.
Good news. I'm not retarded after all. I laughed the entire 22 minutes of The Office tonight. I was surprised Dwight came back so soon. I thought he'd be gone for a while like Oscar, to do another project. Hopefully Karen will be gone soon. She's pretty, but her personality is blah. Just finished listened the Jater vs Skater podcast. Aimee and Kimberley made very good points as everyone did. I don't know what's wrong with Jay's tongue. Aimee in Little Rock rolls off mine just fine. The musical was great also.
ok so this on the lot competition on FOX that I am entering in i want to come up with a really good idea for a 5 minute short but am struggaling, anyone have any good ideas, this is a huge oppertunity and I want to make the best possible short I can make, remember though my budget is not much...
I've been pondering an idea for your short, Casey. How about some crazy, irrational stuff happening and in the end a big reveal. It's all taking place in the mind of a schizo or it's a dream, or the characters are in purgatory.
Well casey i've been trying to write a movie that centers around a guy robing a bank from the drive through window, its not working out in long format. but i am sure it could make a great short film if you ever wanted help.
Ralph is the man to speak to, since it's his bidness. His last screenplay was awesome, and he always has cool ideas.
Brian called from Germany last night, so I was able to explain the storyline of The Office to him, which was nice. I hope they do something really really bad to Andy, like kill him off or something. He started out as funny, but now he's just freaking annoying!
I think the best part of the episode was when Jim said he missed Dwight, that was so cute. Karen is so boring, I couldn't even remember her name until I saw someone type it a few posts back.
I can't believe we have only 2 more non-Lostnesdays left. I'm really excited for this new batch to start up. Think of all the shit we'll have to talk about!
I'm 28, 30 next year, but really couldn't give a flying fuck. I still get asked for i.d. when buying alcohol. At present i am not writing a screenplay or reading many books. I feel somewhat left out...

Loved your spots. Very, very good. Am in the middle of my segment now, actually. I have to say though, I have little interest in Jater Skater Shipperville....I'd be far more into finding out wtf is going on with the others, the Island etc...
And I never chime in about the possibility of there being about 5 seasons. I am totally for this...though we will be stuck for somethig to do. Of course, we will all be famous by then anyway, and will be laughing our way to the bank!
I also wanted to be King of England when I was 7 until a teacher explained to me how it all worked...
Jim, There's an old Kenneth Williams gag, where he said (playing the part of a psychopath on a radio show back in the 60s),"There's only 46,345,621 people standing between me and the throne of Britain. Very soon, i will be queen!" So you see - your mum was right, but should a disaster of extremeness happen to Britain, you may well have to step up - do you fancy being a queen?
Hey Ralph and Ben... loved the Price is Right episode. you guys truely love the show, I can tell. My favorite game on the show always was Cliffhanger too. I loved the yodeling song. My brother just moved to California...I'm telling him to hurry up and go see the show while Bob Barker is around.
I can't comment on the Dharmalars Podcast page without signing up with blogger.com. So, I'm posting here.
Have you and Ben given any thought to recording a commentary track for the 24th's Price is Right in the next few weeks? I'd love to be able to re-watch the episode on my DVR and listen to you guys make fun of contestants and the games.

I can't wait!
i think that Juliette is my new favorite. Did i say think? i meant know.
how come there are no redheads on the island? honestly.
I hope that we get a Syid episode early on. or maybe even Hurley.
i havent thought of a single theory in the last few months. i have been busy. but now, i am ready to get back into lost mode, but i still cant think of any theories to start up. anyone up for a convo starter about LOST?
How about Juliette is a friend of Penelope's?
I don't have a single bit of reasoning for it, but their scenes would be nice on the eyes, wouldn't it :)
OK!!!
Ralph shoot me down buddy.
i think that Juliette is actually Henry Gale's wife. that's right, the same henry gale that Ben Linus knew all about, even though he did not have the wallet with Id.
Ben has the ability to promise people what they want and delivers on his promises. He may have promised Juliette something, but has yet to deliver because he does not want to lose her.
that is why there is a power struggle. she is waiting to get what she had bargained for, and he does not want to give it to her cause he is in love.
final word: Juliette came in on the hot air balloon!
maybe Jack wasnt the first 'miracle' to fall out of the sky for ben. KABLAMI!
Who else thinks that Tom aka Mr. Friendly is Christian Shepherd's gay brother who ran away from home at age 13 only to be legally adopted by Alvar Hanso and taken to the island?
thats right. snap!
Does anyone think that maybe Bun Linus was created artificially? cause i dont.
Do you think that Jacob is really Christain Shephard?
would someone please get that balloon working again?!?!
Did anyone watch the Q and A panel with jimmy kimble and the rest of the cast?
Its super fricken long, I got it on LOSTmedia, i think its like 90mb or so, but its over an hour long, tons of great stuff.
here is the link:

also, did anyone watch the Iphone keynote speech and see jobs call up starbucks and basicly prank call them?
wtf..

You could pass for 25. I would sing "You All Everybody", because it wouldn't matter; anything I'd sing would be humiliating.
i would really like to know the significance of the black and white stones are that Jack has in his pocket.
I think that sun would be more interesting if she died. she kind of deserves it. i really want jin to speak english.
if i were on american idol i would sing the Kenny Rogers' classic , Planet Texas. i would sing it awesome too!
i just recieved a text message from my sister saying, Enjoy the last 30 days of your twenties. this sucks.
I would like to know who Adam and Eve were.
I just noticed that Jay & Jack have their new podcast episode up (featuring Kim & Aimee). Try not to pee your pants.
Think about it like this ralph-, You could be turning 40.;)
30's not so bad. Just think of the wisdom you've gained in your 20's. The only bad thing about turning thirty- your matabolism comes to a screeching halt, or mine did at least.
i already peed my pants, but dont worry about it, i am wearing depends. cause i am old. :(
Don't yell at me, but I'm not liking the fact that I turn 27 next month. I don't want to turn 30, and it's coming at me so fast. Ralph, panic and be pissed off all you want.
I'd sing "Lola" by the Kinks.
Jin is useless not speaking English.
jin should be the lone gunman of the island.
aimee when is your birthday? is the 10th, 18th or 25th?
cause those are stevi, mine and ben's birthdays..respectivly.
Aimee, good job on the J&J show!
you guys are making me feel so young, which is good i guess seeing as how I havent accomplished many of my major goals in life yet
Casey...
I haven't accomplished my goals either!
jimmy, wasnt one of your goals to be part of one of the raddest podcasts in the history of the world?
mission accomplished!
Mine is on the 27th...so close! I was almost a leap-year baby.
That was cool being on Jay & Jack. I'm going to have to find a new name for myself, so life can be a little easier for Jay. That poor guy.
A-Rock
Wow and i was worried about turning 25 in July. Thanks everyone for making me feel so much better. Don't worry about your age. Time happens we all support you and maybe we can figure out a way to slow time together!

Oh yeah, and Ralph does an AWESOME Kate impression in that other file. How the hell did you do that thing with your voice? It's uncanny!
i used a processor called my retardation.
SHIT YESS!!
new Ace of Cakes tonight!!! i love my Thursday Lineup!
Andy (from the Office) is going to "get his Lost on" tonight, lol.
The musical was great also.
i enjoyed the musical, guy love was the best, they shouldnt have released it early
ok so this on the lot competition on FOX that I am entering in i want to come up with a really good idea for a 5 minute short but am struggaling, anyone have any good ideas, this is a huge oppertunity and I want to make the best possible short I can make, remember though my budget is not much...
I see you all are talking about your ages a bit...
Ralph good luck with those last 30 days of your 20's.
I'm down to one day left of my 20's, I turn 30 tomorrow (20th).
Oh well.

Happy Birthday Andrew. Sorry about the whole "30" thing. I'll see you in three years.

I'm 28, 30 next year, but really couldn't give a flying fuck. I still get asked for i.d. when buying alcohol.
At present i am not writing a screenplay or reading many books.
I feel somewhat left out...

Tim just won the Blogger obsessive compulsive award for 2007.
Yeah Tim, you're 28. Got it.
;)
stevi is about to turn 28, she isnt sweating it either.
Aimee and Kim,
Loved your spots.
I really don't care much for the Skater/Jater debate myself; I was only chiming in because I was invited.
They're both sexy bitches in their own ways, so it doesn't really matter which one Kate ends up with, if she "ends" up with one at all.
not Andrew...
Real name is Scott, but don't want to use it on here when posting, so not to get confused with "scott and steve"
yeah...I turn 30 tomorrow

...I need to get around to making a real account on here
You did a good job faking it, Aimee.
Man after reading all the posts on here the last few days about age, i feel so damn young....
oy, does anyone know when BSG starts again?

I've had a lot of practice Steph.
P.S. Steph - that's what he said.
our TPIR episode is up at our Blog and iTunes.
ralph-
Jim,
There's an old Kenneth Williams gag, where he said (playing the part of a psychopath on a radio show back in the 60s),"There's only 46,345,621 people standing between me and the throne of Britain. Very soon, i will be queen!"
So you see - your mum was right, but should a disaster of extremeness happen to Britain, you may well have to step up - do you fancy being a queen?
Ok, now I'm starting to get impatient. Come on!!!!
And yes, Juliet is starting to grow on me. One of the best evil doers on tv? Well, apart from Ben, that is.
Great show fellas.

i am actually going again on the 31st with a group that i dont have to coordinate. i am excited!
Ralph,
I can't comment on the Dharmalars Podcast page without signing up with blogger.com. So, I'm posting here.
Have you and Ben given any thought to recording a commentary track for the 24th's Price is Right in the next few weeks? I'd love to be able to re-watch the episode on my DVR and listen to you guys make fun of contestants and the games.
That's such a good idea. I love it. When is Bob's final show? Who's taking over for him?
Ryan Seacrest will take over for Bob.
aimee, if that is a joke it is a very good one, if not...god help us all
