This was fun! Skype is kinda hard because you end up talking over each other when it skips on occasion (if you can't hear the other person talking), but I'm having fun listening to the final version right now. Great job on the edit, Kimberley!

OMG! A Podcast! I can't believe my luck

The girly sas was great! Very entertaining, Kimberley and Aimee.
I'd like to record with you sometime. I've always wanted to cuss on the internet.;)

I like stephsmith's "Girly SAS." That right there is a winner.

Ebony and Ivory?
North and South?
Flamimg Death Machine?
The Geronimo Jacksons?
Chili Biscuit and Tiger Woods?

I've got nothing...

I would say that while you guys make an excellent point that the people who record these podcasts have lives, I will say that it is a lot easier to be a dedicated listener to those regularly recorded like Jay ad Jack. I don't know if you guys care at all but just thought I might give you a little insight into the listeners opinion.

I just think of it as a nice treat when we get a podcast from somebody in the lost initiative. I mean, I would much rather get one every once in a while than none at all.

Oh, and great job Kimberly & Aimee. I loved the show, it was a nice female prospective without being overly girly. I really liked it.

Kimberley has the smiliest voice in the world! And Aimee.. well i've seen the picture of you in a SaS vest top, i need say no more.
Good job girls, i liked it!

Darryl Cunningham said...

Well that was really great. I definately want to hear more of that. Good work, girls.

Something girly, but not too girly, with a hint of SaS and smidge of Lost? How about The RARE SIGHT LOSS Podcast? Not very punchy, but it's quite clever, for me. First person to work out why, wins a prize!

Anonymous said...

...or The AntiCuse Podcast?

Kelley, the reason it's easier to be a dedicated listener to people who record constantly is because it requires no effort on the listener's behalf. You don't have to think about whether or not you need to go upload your iPod, or check a blog, because you know it's always going to be there on schedule all the time. They just want their shit delivered and they don't care how it gets there as long as its there. The type of people who would give up on the SaS or Lars because of absence are the same type of people who would give up on Lost because of hiatuses (like the 64% from the People magazine poll).

Steph, you are totally invited if we record again. We can have a super swear fest and make Kimberley cuss a lot. I was totally caught off guard when she said the MF'er word, it was funny. And "asshat" is probably the funniest word I've ever heard.

Palmereldritch, what about tiger biscuits? Just kidding. I liked Steph's better.

Tim, you're so right! I can always picture Kimberley smiling whenever she's talking!

Did you figure out the anagram yet Aimee?
By the way, when Kimberley said my name, i was slightly disappointed you talked all over it, because her saying my name is genius - it's sounds bloody gorgeous! I used to be upset by people taking the piss out of my name, but for future generations of Jellymans (not Jellymen, as you would think, my grandfather would rise from the grave and wreak havoc if people referred to us collectively as Jellymen!) i will make sure they hear a hot Canadian chick saying our surname, they'll be fine then.

aimee is lost said...

As I said earlier, that was the one bad thing about Skype was the cutting out of the audio. There were times where I couldn't hear her talking, so I would start talking, not realizing she was already talking.

While Kimberley edited this, she probably went through about 15 minutes of audio of us saying to each other "hello?" "are you still there?" "can you hear me?" and so forth.

That's why I said she did a great job on the final edit. You only hear the finished product; if you'd have been in the original conversation, you'd be surprised!

Sorry I ruined your moment Tim. I'll make it up to you somehow, I promise. Maybe I can unintentionally insult you in some sort of funny way, in the last ten seconds of the next recording (Jimmy is sooo going to kick my ass!)

I'm just glad people didn't hate it.

If you HAVE to be stuck in traffic, you'd be lucky to be in Toronto.

Jellymen. Brilliant!

What did ya'll think of The Office? Last night's was written by Ricky Gervais. I couldn't watch it. I had to change the channel. It seemed just like the Gay Witch Hunt.

Anonymous said...

Actually, Toronto is the WORST mapped out city for traffic in North America ...they did studies somewhere, at at some school or institution... it's bad!

I love the Office, I haven't seen the episode yet. Rickey Gervais is my hero. I think Brits and Canadians have a different sense of humour than American (I find), it must have something to do with the Commomwealth.

And...Aimee is right, we recorded almost 2 hours of stuff, but I had to edit it into something all of us could understand

OK :( back to work, I'll check in on your posts later

Mike, you can keep your hair short. We'll just refer to you as "the butch" one.

by the way, we are still doing an "I Do" episode of the Lars. But, i think that our next episode of will be about the big event that we are attending on Monday! it will be my favorite episode of the dharmalars to date.

aimee is lost said...

I can't wait to hear about how that goes! Are you going to tell anyone beforehand (or should I keep my mouth shut?)

Mike Campbell said...

Boo aimee having all the inside information. She is so sneeky. Maybe she can teach me her sneeky skills

Stephanie said...

Mike, I might be getting bored with the "Michael is an insensitive boob" act. And it might just be, heaven forbid, that I'm just that sensitive person the show is making fun of.

-podcast names-
The Swan Snatch (sorry, but i thought it would be in keeping with the digital attitude)
MYOKM w/ Es(trogen)
The Podmore Group
Mama Sas (you know, Make Your Own Kind Of Music... nevermind)

2. for all of The Office fans, there's a good Office podcast called "That's What She Said".

3. Going to watch Jack Shepherd on Saturday Night Live tonight. I suspect that Jack "the ham" Black will try to steal some of the spotlight. I also predict that Horatio will play Hurley in a Lost parody, and will giggle the whole time.

4. i've noticed that most of the prominent Lost podcasters didn't watch the whole 1st season during broadcast. I think it really colored the way that they viewed the 1st season vs. the 2nd season. I watched weekly from the 2nd half of the pilot on and i can tell you that the 1st season was dragging it's ass towards the end. I've said many times before that the season 1 finale left me completely cold and it was only because the season 2 opener was so awesome that i stuck around.

5. There's another Lost podcast from the UK using the name "The Lost Initiative"

6. still don't like "Heroes"

7. i get no SAS board love, is it because i don't have a blogger account?

andrew.

Mama SaS is hilarious!

Uncle Igmar said...

I am with Aimee - MommaSas - The Mothers of all SAS - or since you may be explicit - "The Muthas of all SAS" - too funny - and appropriate at the same time :)

You go girls :)

I have returned! Been a weird few days.

I'll start by saying that I really, really loved it, and "Lostrogen" is the most fantasticaly bad name I have ever heard!

Will write later...I do intend to watch SNL. Guys...I suggest a new thread for it. SNL being so stale of late etc...

Andrew...your appreciated. I think the worlds populace are generally visual.
Cheers,
Jimmy.

Just listened to the maiden voyage of the S.S. Lost-gina, and I loved it. It's nice to hear that something good came out of all that secret planning you two have been up to. Although, I kind of feel I always covered the female perpective on Lost quite handsomely, this will do.

Seaman Good Times

Mmmkay, so I finally listened to this amazingly gun podcast which still has no name.

I wanna join! You guys had so much fun, and I do like to swear, indeed, I do : )

Fab songs, too, btw. Hahahaha...oh my, this has put me in the nicest mood ever. Strange. But good.

Anonymous said...

God, talk about typos. 'gun podcast'? I think not.

I meant to say 'fun podcast', just to clear that up.

aimee is lost said...

Gillian, "gun" can still be a good buzzword - you should've played it off like it was on purpose. Thanks for the feedback. Get your booty on Skype so we can record with you sometime!
