Tim, I've only watched the last two episodes of Heroes, but I've read the summaries of the rest, so I only kind of understand it at this point. Basically, it's about a bunch of people who discover they have some kind of superpower, whether it's the ability to read thoughts, fly, paint the future, or be indestructible, plus some other junk like "the ability to absorb other people's powers" (like Rogue from X-Men). I don't really understand what the blonde stripper's power is. There's a professor, a conspiracy, and a lot of X-Men'ish stuff.
Everything is probably better in HD, but I'm only guessing because I don't have one! I'd say go to your friend's house & try it out.
Ok, ralph- add me as a friend on myspace. Heroes is really good. The show has a writer from the second season of Lost. They are calling themselves the Anti-Lost because they answer questions immedietely and then pose more questions. Who can blame them from taking advantage of Lost's mistakes? I'm new to this sci-fi stuff. It's all brand new to me, but I can see you guy's points about X-Men.
Oh yeah, and they have a main character named Claire; that was the other Lost ref I was thinking of. Duh.
That pilot guy lost some weight, didn't he? I remember him being a lot more chubby on Lost (for the one island scene and one flashback scene we saw him in). He's cute though. I wish I had his power.
I'm going to assume he is the Hero that Ausiello referred to about Desmond's power being similar to? Strange coincidence that they were both on Lost.
Greg Grunberg, or Agent Weiss, or Matt went on Weight Watchers to loose weight for Heroes. He is JJ Abrams childhood friend and is given a role in all of JJ's shows. He was also in Felicity. According to his imdb, he ran a successful frozen yogert business- which I think makes him the inspiration for "Frogert". In an interview with tvguide, he said we will see the pilot of flight 815 again.
Weight Watchers is awesome. I've used it before to lose my "post-quit smoking weight", my "unemployment weight", and my "whenever I get lazy" weight. It's gender biased, but it's still good; I just tweaked it to work for me, and don't go to meetings.
I don't work tomorrow or Friday, and I don't really have anything to do at work today. I've been here for 9 minutes, and I'm extremely bored. Somebody help me.
The Fountain is out today!!! Now there are too many movies out i want to see. I will have to pull a movie-a-thon and watch three or four one day. Yeah thats right, i have no life!
I watched the full trailer for The Fountain and it does look really good. I think that's #1 on my list to see. I'll try to see it this weekend since all of my shopping is done.
It's Bond for me. Possibly tonight, and on my own. And I haven't seen the last two Bonds prior. I'm thinking this new one has totally re energized the concept.
Maybe the Fountain...looks pretty good, but I don't like visually busy films if I can help it.
I predict in two weeks I will be slaughtering at least some of you on "Gears of War". Am in the process of loadign you all up as gamer tags. Do I sense the makings of "Clan MYOKOM"?
You're breaking my heart, jimmy. I'm trying to get my hubby to agree to see Bond this weekend, but he's too upset about our dog dying last night. http://i138.photobucket.com/albums/q248/stephsmith39/DCP_1635.jpg
The last Bond film I saw was Goldeneye, and it may be the only one I really remember. I know I've seen bits of other ones. Ralph knows my Goldeneye fantasy.
Diamonds Are Forever is on Spike now. Connery is the real Bond. Moore I like only for nostalgia sake. I have wonderful childhood memories of decorating the Christmas tree while watching Octopussy. What were my parents thinking?
I have to say, as an Englishman, and brought up on a Easter Sunday afternoon religion of Bond movies and not Christian worship of some bloke who could do magic tricks that got nailed to a bit of wood (can you tell i'm an atheist?) i am really looking forward to Casino Royale! I don't think Brosnan's effort were as bad as Timothy Dalton (could have been my name if i'd chosen to go with my mum's name and not my dad's) and not nearly as appalling as Roger Moore, who's Bond career was simply cliche non-catchphrases, for example: he killed a man by tossing a heater into a bath, and then saying "toasty" - he's a maniac! That's not even a joke, they're just words! I'm still to see Die Another Day all the way through because the missus keeps interrupting me with cries of "do the dishes, mop the floors, cinderelli" etc, etc. But yesterday, i did manage to watch United Flight 93, or whatever it's called, that is a fucking insane film. I would say it's the cinematic equivalent of A Day In The Life - Jimmy you're the music dude, have you seen the film, and do you concur with my estimation? And do you remember thinking that a pen with a red LED in the top (obviously signifying that it was a transceiver or some description) was cool as fuck, whilst eating sunday lunch round at your nan's on a wet sunday afternoon back home in blighty?

I love Heroes! I'm so into it, especially now that Lost is on a break. I'm turning into such a TV junkie :/
You're right Aimee, that dude was chubbier on Lost and he was even chubbier on Alias. I love watching him in anything, he's just entertaining to me.

Dumb dog.
Sorry about the dog, Steph. That was a nice picture. Life will go on. Tough, I know.
Your guy needs some Bond to cheer him up. Simple as that.
After the way today is panning out I kmight just curl up and go to bed. A long day!
