"Hi-ee-tus, damn I can't say that" Week Four

The Peabody Award Winning Episode

Holy Froggin' Shart! This one has a theme.
We talk about which theories we would like debunked for good, and we hear from special guests Ryan and Jen from The Transmission and Jay and Handsome Jack from The Lost Podcast with Jay and Jack. And there's one extra special guest from "down under."

New Segment: Spoiler or Foiler? It's as lame as it sounds.

A playlist:
Open with "Sleeping In" The Postal Service.
The podcast is "bumpered" by "Slopoke 2" by Glasgow's own Colin Christopher, very punchable. Thank you, Colin.
Outro is "Ping Island" Mark Mothersbaugh.
And a special treat, "Just 2 Guyz" Incredibad.

The hour long Christmahanukwanzakah (Christmas) special

This one includes special guest co-host Ryan A. Howard and a phone call to our "special agent in the field" Aimee in Little Rock. With all those heads talking we come this close to discussing Lost.

More good news: Ryan A's gots mad computer skillz, and he can probably hook us up with an enhanced podcast. That means our wilder tangents can have their own chapters and no more of this "to miss the spoiler skip ahead ten minutes" crap. Get pumped; we are sure to disappoint.

Playlist:
By the Vince Guaraldi Trio:
"Christmas Time is Here" I think that's called.
"Oh Tanenbaum/Christmas Tree"
"Hark the Herald Angels Sing" may be the title of that one.
and "Christmas (Baby, Please Come Home)" by Darlene Love again. Free Phil Spector!

Dr. Candle differences

The first screen cap is from episode three "Orientation." Second cap is from "What Kate Did."
The new piece of film has some slight differences:
The arrow on the exit sign seems to be pointing in a different direction..
The lapel on the lab jacket is slightly different
The pattern on his tie looks a little different.
Dr. Candle's hair looks different.
I hate pointing out continuity errors, but I really don't think these differences are in error.
And if you think the film was just spliced on backwards and that explains the exit sign and tie, you're wrong. The sound would not play if the film was spliced incorrectly. Take my word, my years as a theatre projectionist are finally paying off.

What do the patches represent?

Anyone with millitary knowledge, can you tell me what the decorations represent on Sgt. Austen's uniform?

Not Lost related, funny none the less.

Can someone explain what's happening here?
