That photo has catfight written all over it. I can't wait!

Juliet's got that nice new twist in her hair. Kate's looks like a rat's nest.

I predict Kate and Juliet start fighting and run into Hurley carrying a fresh tub of Dharma Whipped topping. That's why Hurley's a chef.

I like the way you think. I wonder who's jumpsuit will be ripped first...

what if Hurley INVENTS Dharma Ranch Composite?!

aimee is lost said...

Al Gore invented that.

PalmerEldritch said...

makes sense to me.

Dharma Ranch Composite wrestling match for Juliet and Kate?

i kind of hope our heroes get outed tonight so they can get the heck out of Dharmaville. it's just weird there.

i wonder if new Chef Hurley will be tasked with determining which and how much food stuffs will be going into the newly designed Swan Station.

I'm scared for Sayid.

I'm not sure if Kate or Jules would win. Kate has street smarts but Jules has that others training. Jules has the height weight and reach advantage. Actually I really don't care who wins as long as it boils down to a strip down bra and panties pillow fight with Penny, also in bra and panties, is reffin the bout. Tickle fight would be accepted as well.

Winner of the kitty cat fight - gets Sawyer. Loser of the kitty cat fight - leaves the island.

PalmerEldritch said...

ah, but the real winners? us, the audience.

and i propose that it all goes down (so to speak) next week to be as close as possible to the anniversary of the previous Rumble in the Jungle between the two.

Welcome back, Elias. What's up?
It was there a year before the parents knew. Why do boys enjoy doing that?

Funny image enters my mind...

- i predict that Sayid will kill a man while poppin' and lockin', and Jin will be beatboxin' in the background.

- Juliet: these new paper Dharma jumpsuits feel like they're going to tear under just the strain of holding my boobs in, plus they're kind of itchy.
Kate: itchy? how can you even tell?
Juliet: I'm going to wipe the viscous, slippery motor pool floor with your bony ass!

- i predict that Ben manages to creep us out both in the 70s and the present.

- Hurley: Hey Kate. I can't believe I won the lottery and then crashed on a magical island not once, but twice, only to end up wearing a hair net, working in the back of another kitchen.
Kate: Yeah, crazy huh? That sure is a lot of Jello Hurley.
Juliet: Rrrrrraaaaaawwwwr! *splash*

- i predict that someone walks out of a shadow, only to reveal...

- Jack: ladies, ladies, stop fighting over me. There's plenty of this to go around.
Sawyer: don't flatter yourself doc, they can't get enough of the cognitive dissonance when they see this chisled body holding a book with a 3rd grade reading level.
Jack: dream on sawyer. I'm a fucking spinal surgeon with dangerous tattoos.
Sawyer: what's that one Thai for? 'where's my mommy?'
Jack: They're fighting over me because I'm the leader and i care about people other than myself.
Sawyer: Get over yourself. They're fighting over me because I... wait, are they kissing?

i like Andrew.'s Juliet as Cato to Kate's Clousseau.

"Juliet, I need you to attack me whenever I least expect it to keep my catfighting skills honed."

PalmerEldritch said...

also, any chance for a Dharma Roller Derby league?

I got a dollar on Kate on Skaters. Couldn't resist

- Holli, i remembered this morning that the OLP does get spoilery about the rest of the season. They tell the name of the finale which has a lot of obvious implications and they're sponsoring a 'name the big twist ending' contest.

mb said...

Thanks for mentioning that Andrew. I meant to say as well that spoiler-free people probably ought to avoid the most recent OLP (and all of them really - if you are serious about staying completely spoiler-free)

Chris JC said...

Prepare for: KALIET!

Chris JC said...

Or JUTE.

memphish said...

Jute?

Thanks for the OLP warning Andrew and MB.

- Bad movie news day
First: Bai Ling is still 'acting', perhaps 'no.1 Ultraviolet fan' is due for a name change.
and second: that "Let The Right One In" DVD that i bought is dumbhanced

It's a bummer that you have Subtitles for Simpletons but it's nice to know that the company care enough to alter future pressings.

Is it seriously impacting your enjoyment of the film?

Wondering what version we'll get - I suspect the later one because it's not here in cinemas yet. Coming April 10.

PalmerEldritch said...

mb, liked your caption for that bear pic. actually guffawed like a moron. glad i was home instead of at work.

LOSTNESDAY, BITCHES!!!

with the chance for a Juliet/Kate smackdown. good stuff.

i want to see Sawyer turn to Jack for advice and have Jack go "it was your plan, sheriff."

giant sandwiches for dinner, i think. i'll actually try to be more like Jimmy and eat something a little bit more healthy than i normally would. maybe.

andrew. said...

honestly the subtitle difference isn't something that i would have picked up on myself. i saw the movie once before. it would have just nagged at me that the movie wasn't quite as good as i remembered. now i know, and it's kind of ticking me off.

Jordan said...

"Is it seriously impacting your enjoyment of the film?"

Chris, did you read the comparison sample shots shown in that link? They took about 5 setences and replaced them with about 5 words. How could that not ruin one's enjoyment?

I'm a stickler when it comes to things like that. It's the reason I refuse to watch dubbed foreign films. The translation takes much away, along with just sounding corny. Also, you have the movie losing it's feeling and tone that the original sound and actors give it. But this is way worse. Who exactly are they dumbing it down for? It's not exactly a mainstream film. I don't think they are going to be selling too many copies in Oklahoma City. "Hey, that there crazy French movie makes sense if you read these here clue words".

Jordan said...

Oh, and happy Lostnesday to all.

Chris JC said...

I get what you're saying, Jordan, but I'm also assuming that they have picked an extreme example to illustrate their point. Is all.

I remember being utterly annoyed at the DVD of Princess Mononoke, whose English subtitles were just the Hard of Hearing subtitles of the English dub, complete with dialogue alterations and, eccentrically, at least one subtitled additional sound effect which didn't appear in the original.

That and I couldn't really see what all the fuss was about.

I like My Neighbour Totoro, though.

Hey there!

How was everyone's weekend?

I can't wait for this episode!!!

PalmerEldritch said...

LOOOOOOST!!!

see you on the other side, brother(s).

that's a hint that we need a post episode thread later tonight. :p

Finished work early, Picked up season 3 of Venture Bros, and now it looks like a foxy fox-off with Kate and Juliet... today is good.

What are the odds of Sally Sling-shot coming back from the dead to get into the cat-fight action?

andrew. said...

- Mononoke is my least favorite Miyazaki film and i'm also a little bit mystified by the fandom for it. My favorites are Totoro, Laputa, Castle of Cagliostro, and Spirited Away.

- It's funny that you bring up Miyazaki though, because I got my DVDs for those most his movies when I was in Taiwan and the english subtitles are hilariously terrible. So maybe i'm not as much of a connoisseur of subtitles as i like to pretend.

- LOST

scrdmnkydst said...

Er... Where's the love for Howl's Moving Castle? It's blatantly the best one!

I predict that tonight Juliet roundhouse kicks Kate in the face.

Prediction. Wishful thinking. Same thing really.

memphish said...

I would like a Marcia Brady "oh my nose" moment.

If either lady injures the other will that further solidify Sawyer's affections for the injured or the injurer? And will Jack try to fix the injured? (Answer yes.)

Chris JC said...

Ever since Sawyer went back in time I've been expecting a cheesy fan-friendly line about how much better the DHARMA beer is when it's fresh. So far, no dice.

Chris JC said...

Between us we've knackered all the KABLAMOs. Remember to do 108 if we get there this evening.

Oh and compare the meerkat.

I'd take Rose. I bet she fights dirty and calls you names too.

People are talking about someone getting killed off and the main person that's coming up is Jules. Then on TLI they brought up Hurley.
I don't think Jules dying would have as much affect as one of the O6 dying. Hurley dying doesn't really make sense. Why would someone kill Hurley?

A name I haven't heard mentioned in DEATH TALKS is JAMES SAWYER LA FLEUR FORD.

James has to die. James mistakenly murdered that guy and the guy said "it'll come around."

This strongly hints at James being killed the same way.

It would be most poetic if Clementine kills him. Much like the original Sawyer, James conned her mom and took away her dad.

We saw that Cassidy, Clementine's mom, was at a gas station selling fake jewelery. This suggests she is not well off.

Unless the Clementine story was a con by Cassidy on James, it would make a lot of sense for Clementine to hate James.

With all this said, I'm patiently waiting for the LOST KIDS (Walt, Clementine, Aaron, Ji Yun, and Charlie) to play a role.

Why do I always end up being the last comment on a thread? I just noticed that the episode is now airing in the east coast.

I still got 2.5 hours.
