Lame discussions and poorly constructed theories about the hit ABC series "Lost."
Call the TLI Ham Fat Line: (206) 426-3238
I don’t discriminate.
ha! that's a good one, kim. i hope everyone has good eyesight, otherwise they'll miss that little something.
I'm a people pleaser...that's what I do./twss?
something for everyone? i only saw The Bellucci.
That's quite inclusive. I feel I should open up the ethnicity a little more:YES!
Our pic is tad bit on the small side. Grrrr.
Shall I post another one of Rosario Dawson? I can go bigger...
There ya go.
Poor quality, but here is the clip of Munch predicting our future back in a 1994 episode of Homicide. Hit the nail on the head. Expect for the virtual reality part. That didn't quite pan out as people thought. lol.
Palmer: tad bit on the small side. Chris: I can go bigger...THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID!
That's not Palmer!Oh no, she didn't!
sorry, i meant our friend jordan.:/
Hold me like the river, our friend Jordan.
I think I liked the Hello Kitty Kitty better. I think we're all in desparate need of some LOST. And what's the big idea making a new thread before hitting 500 posts?
After those Rosario pics, I'll tell you what's up.
that doesn't even deserve a twss. it's too obvious.
Single entendres are so passé.But funny.
OMG LOL. Brilliant. Kim, I'm getting bootleg DVDs of all three seasons of Supernatural tomorrow. Do you want me to mail them to you as I watch them?
Last day of work today. Leaving now. I kinda wanna take everything with me. I probably won't be around as much from the new job, at least not at first. I'll miss talking to you guys all day every day. / i didn't even send my co-workers a goodbye email but i'm saying goodbye to you guys. i'll only be around at night, like a vampire.
Welcome to the first day of the rest of your life Ally - I hope the new job is awesome! We'll talk to you after hours :)
First Trevor, now Ally. Hopefully at some point, myself. New jobs are killing the blogspot.
I don't care what happens, I will never put a stinking job before the blogspot. I better not say that. I may have to eat my words.
I just realized it's been 10 years since my former band and I recorded our first and only studio album.I've updated my avatar to reflect my nostalgic sentiments and also to demonstrate what a mean head of hair I had at the time ;-)Man that hair was a bitch to deal with!
WOW! nice pic
MB: Ally - I hope the new job is awesome! We'll talk to you after hoursComing this Fall, Ally After Hours. The Ally we all know and love, but sassier.Hang on - is this the reason for the pole dancing?Alirio: I just realized it's been 10 years since my former band and I recorded our first and only studio album. And very good it is, too even if I don't speak the language. I'm a sucker for 90s Prog, though. And I can find most of the album by scrolling to L on my iPod.
I think everyone should follow the lead set by Alirio and myself and upload pictures of themselves playing bass.
...or with outrageous hair
True - my hair is awesomer than it's ever been right now, but I still can't match that Dimebag/Kirk Hammett do that Alirio's rocking there.
Outrageous hair? Here's me doing a a hybrid of Sharon Osbourne and Robert Smith two years ago... :/
Good work there, fella.
Hey blogspot!Yeah, new busy job + long commute = much less time to multislack. Thanks for the congrats about the Phils last thread. Being a true Philadelphian, though, I'm convinced that they're going to find a way to blow it (after all, outside of one inning in game 2, their offense has been brutal). Arrgh. I'm also shaking my fist in rage at the idiots in MLB who decided to schedule the Phillies' game at the exact same time at the Eagles' game today (not to mention the Packers' game). My thoughts on the new fall season:Fringe -- still a meh for me. I'm not sure why, but it's just not grabbing my interest. I do like the cast a lot, though. I'll give it until mid-season, I think.Heroes -- double meh, although I've only watched the first 2 episodes. Are they even trying to maintain any sort of continuity anymore? The overall mythology of this show is really a complete mess anymore.Pushing Daisies -- very nice to have it back. The first episode was great, I had forgotten how enjoyable this show is. I'm glad that the aunts are getting out of the house, but I really really hope that Olive isn't going to be pushed to the side.
I'm feeling so schizophrenic. I had the split screen going today, and, literally, just as the Phils were finishing up the Brewers, the Eagles were finishing up their most pathetic effort this season. So I'm so excited and happy to see the Phillies advance, but also so pissed of about that abomination of an Eagles game.fuck it ....... GO PHILLIES!
Back from a great weekend in middle of nowhere Mississippi. Exhausted, but no time for that because we're leaving again Tuesday afternoon. In the meantime, my latest cake link. Fortunately, I don't need one of these right now.Holli
Damn, forgot to email link again. The Colts score 21 points in 4:30 and I missed it. Cable. At least the Kimmel ad makes me remember it, if not change.Holli
STEVI AND I with Mike and Laura Allred!!! He is the writer/creator/artist of my all time favorite comic book EVER!!! Laura is Mike's wife and creates all the colors for MADMAN!!!!!!! We drove up to San Francisco yesterday and drove back today. That is over 800miles in 36 hours. It cost like $120 in gas alone, but it was TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!!!!
DUDE!!!!!First your picture with Giacchino and now Allred?!!!congrats, ralph. that's awesome. very jealous that you get to meet all these heroes of yours. at least we can live vicariously through you. well done, mr. apel. well done!oh. by the way... how did you manage to meet him!?
Wow. To live in California. Where famous people are.
So did anyone bother to watch the EliteXC fights this weekend. Crush won her fight and Kimbo Slice lasted all of 14 seconds.-LT Smash
watched Crush and Arlovski's fight on the DVR since i was out of state last night.DVR stopped recording once Kimbo got in the ring. so, youtube came to the rescue. wow. not what i was expecting. especially since i expected Ken Shamrock to be IN the match. :D/setup
Palmer, it was his only public appearance in a billion years. as soon as i heard about it a few months back i decided that 400+ miles one way was close enough. Stevi jumped at the chance to go as well. She made them a Madman Doll. As soon as we got there Laura saw my Madman shirt and started chatting with us as if she knew us. THEN..mike walked up to us and he said "Ralph, right?" and i fucking LOST IT!!! but only in my brain. Stevi was all nervous so i nudged her to give them the Crocheted Doll that she made, and she was shy. so i told mike and laura that stevi had something for them. their eyes lit up and Mike gave her a big old HUG. i took a picture of them looking at it. it is all on Myspace under the album Neon Monster. check it. i will post a blog about the whole story tomorrow.
is it just me or does True Blood just keep getting better and better?
Happy birthday to Tim the Jellyman!Y'know, unless he's put the wrong birthday on the forum like a plum.
ralph... did he recognize your voice from the interview you did with him or does he possess powers not of this world? either way, bad ass stuff.happy birthday, tim!
They reject the bill, the market goes down. They pass the bill, the market goes down. There’s no pleasing these cocksuckers
Yeah, we're screwed.
Silly, stupid Americans. LOL.
he just pointed and said my name. i posted one picture of me on his message board, but i had hair on my head, no glasses and was clean shaven. In person, i was bald, van dyked and had four eyes. He may have recognized me from the shirt, because it is a brand new shirt that came out last week and i think i mentioned that i got one on his message board. either way, it was really cool and weird
JEEBUS Ralph - does your ability to mingle with the stars have BOUNDS?SO f-in cool man - going to see the pics now!
"He may have recognized me from the shirt"Your shirt didn't happen to say Ralph, did it? harhar.
his son had started a shirt company that produces madman shirts. I was the first to mention that i got one in the mail. since i mentioned on the boards that i was going, he probably just put two and two together
hey, has there always been an L missing from the thread title? and no one noticed?!
good evening, b spotters. i had a wonderful first day of work, i hope it keeps up for at least the rest of the week.i went out this weekend to celebrate both friday and saturday and realized i'm getting too old for that, at the ripe old age of 26. yesterday and today i'm exhausted! i can barely walk because my legs hurt so much.here's the extra sassiness from "after hours ally" i did some amateur pole dancing saturday night, not at a strip club but at a regular club. i'm surprised i didn't roll right onto the floor.
Potentially bad news if you watch The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Damn you Fox. Ever think about moving a struggling show away from a night dominated by Dancing with the Stars & Monday Night Football? Add yet another quality show to the long list of good shows dumped by Fox.Also, Pushing Daisies got it's ass kicked in the ratings last week. Finishing 4th in it's time slot. Here's a comment from TV critic Tim Goodman:Poor "Pushing Daisies." It came back last Wednesday and got plastered, finishing fourth in its time slot - behind even "Knight Rider." In the business, that's called a knockout punch. If the series doesn't show some life this Wednesday, things could get awful bleak awful fast. ABC will have a huge decision to make.If that show gets canceled, and crap like According to Jim and Two & a Half Men keeps on going, I might just have to go and punch a bunch of Okies in the face. Damn you middle America.
That'd be a shame. I understand it's a business but it's been a consistently well written and plotted show.If Fox do can it, I hope the producers get enough warning to tie it up.
I see that Robin, the boy wonder, is getting his own show in the shape of The Graysons.Hooray?
Oh no! It's going to be on the CW and be like Smallville.:(
I'd rather see a Green Arrow spin-off.
...I'd much rather a Smallville type show about a Marvel character... seeing as they tend to be more 3 dimentional...
Ask JJ Abrams
smallville is one of my guilty pleasure shows. but it's cool to watch a show about people with super powers.in fact, right now its more interesting than boring old heroes.although, i havent seen last night's heroes yet.that said, The Graysons sounds like an awful idea. what the heck would it be about? a nine year old who does circus tricks?
As far as I understand it, Grayson's backstory is: was in a family of circus acrobats. A mob boss threatens badness to the circus if they don't pay him protection money. As a result, the rest of his family get killed that night during their act. Dick goes into foster care and eventually gets taken on by an eccentric millionaire with a tights fetish and the desire to spread fear among the criminal element. That's it.So I'm assuming this will have him coming up with the whole Robin-as-vigilante-hero thing by himself years before encountering Bruce Wayne.
You know what would be better?AZRAEL
Even better?This Azrael.
Gargamel's teenage years do need to be covered, it's true.
It could explore the deep psychological issues that led to his unending yearning for Gold. Also, it could explain why he only has one outfit (much like Clark Kent for many years of Smallville).
I still think Warners are missing a trick with the Azreal series. They can get his backstory well established and then whack out a big screen version of Knightfall to continue the adventures of the character.
except that he's pretty much universally hated. besides by you, apparently. :)
I love things that everyone hates.
Let's Learn Judo with Vladimir Putin!!!
That's in case his plane crashes in Alaska.Holli
- that's some bullshit about Terminator: TSCC. Monday night is a shit slot for the show, especially since it's now up against Heroes and football. Ever try counter-programming Fox?I didn't even remember T:TSCC was on when i groaned my way through last night's Heroes episode.- I think Pushing Daisies looks like a complicated show from the outside (and last week's episode seemed especially continuity heavy) I did my part and sent the first season DVDs to a friend. I will be pissed if yet another Brian Fuller production gets cut short by an unreceptive public.I'm still waiting for the Dead Like Me movie featuring our friend Desmond but its release keeps getting pushed back (not a good sign)- "After-Hours Ally" is an exciting turn of events, random amateur pole-dancing and all!
Naomi is on last night's episode of Life. I think Starla may be too.Holli
i'm breaking the rules and posting. T:SCC getting taken out because they don't know where to put it? (twss) I'm sure the real reason is that they're too cheap to keep paying for a good show. Last night's episode was awesome! The end of the scene in the woods gave me chills. Literally.Heroes was good last night too. Mohinder is scaring the pole dancing out of me!
I was thinking how interesting Mo's story had become and then podcasts are pointing out to me that it's a blatant rip-off of The Fly. But he's a cockroach? How creepy is "Hail to the Chef"?
I thought Heroes was a good episode too. I really liked it.
Mohinder's turning into a cockroach?Oh. I see what they did there...
I really liked Heroes last night. It was fun and exciting. I know the entire world is complaining about 4400 and Fly rip offs, but I could honestly care less. I never watched The 4400 and Mohinder's storyline is so insignificant in my eyes that it doesn't bother me at all. I liked T:SCC. Was good as usual. Nothing amazing, just good solid action fun. It amazes me that Fox is as inept as they are when it comes to programming. They totally screw up in promoting and programming a show. Then they go and blame the show for not getting the ratings they want. It's exactly what happened with AD. They didn't know how to promote it and moved it around so much, that it could never get established. Like Andrew said, how about a little counter programming? Maybe instead of putting your action shows up against MNF, maybe put them on a night dominated by all of the numerous womens shows that rule the networks? I know it's probably not a cheap show to make, but maybe that should mean that you try a little bit harder before you can it. The funniest part of it all is the reports claim that Fox is blaming it for Prison Break's poor ratings as well. Did they ever consider the fact that Prison Break becoming a parody of itself just might have something to do with it? Just shows even more how inept the Fox execs are. They don't want to lose Prison Break, the show that is going downhill. But they're willing to can the show that's getting better with each episode.
all this heroes love all of a sudden?!wtf?i'll have to check out last night's episode, huh?as for Terminator, that sucks for all you Terminator fans. it seems to me (some random guy on the internet) that a lot of people are watching the show. i wonder if Hulu, fox.com, and DVR are killing the tv ratings. also, i see commercials for the show all the time but, you all are right, putting an action adventure show up against football might not be the wisest move.oh. and prisonbreak was fun last night. thanks to copious amounts of T-Bag. and to the guest star of the week. but, yeah, it's no season 1 of prisonbreak.
Listen to me interview two fascinating Canadians here.
Prison Break has been better the past 2 weeks, I will admit. The episodes prior though were nearly pushing me off the bandwagon. They seem to be getting away from the Sylla card crap now. And we have a new set of blueprints! Woo hoo! Tunneling! And yes, T-Bag was sorely missed.
Listening now Steph!
Fox are developing a version of Absolutely Fabuluous. This makes me really sad. :(
every version of AbFab makes me sad.ugh. parents love it though.different strokes for different folks, i guess.at least the daughter was in a Horatio Hornblower movie. although, she was probably the worst part. :pMister Fantastic, Lee Adama, and Doctor Who get in a rowboat...
Bad news about PD. If it dies, it'll be the show that the strike killed ... it was just starting to gain an audience when the strike hit. I hope they at least give it a chance this year.
PalmerEdritch: "at least the daughter was in a Horatio Hornblower movie. although, she was probably the worst part. :p"Oi, Palmer. I won't have that - nobody slags off Julia Sawalha on my watch, not the lead from Steven Moffat's "Press Gang" and noted beautiful lady.If you continue, we'll have to take it outside. I'll meet you in Greenland.
Her sister was in Eastenders y'know.Also. I'm proper getting into this Twitter-ing lark.
Yeah, Nadia Sawalha. I like her - she looks a bit filthy. In a GREAT way.
She does look like she's been round the block. Many times.
I was being nice. Then again, Julia has shagged Keith Allen, so anything's possible.
What?! Since when? I did not know this. Is it just me who feels sorry for Lily having him as a father? ...Probably.
This got schtuped by this?huh./found best picture of her that i could//found worst picture of him that i could
You did fine work.In my mind it's more like THIS getting the shaft from THAT
He did co-write best song ever
Is Twitter the new blogspot? Too many places to update--with the same ppl, lol. /all twittered out, already
Nothing will ever take the place of the Blogspot.
in keeping with the "A litte somethign for everyone :P" theme. Here's some amost-porn starring Nathan Fillion. Probably NSFW.http://www.spike.com/video/pg-porn-pg-porn/3041858
I don't get twittering either.Ralph will be happy to know that I finally watched Ultraviolet. Wow. That was horrific. lol.
Why did you keep watching? :P
The words "porn" and "Nathan Fillion" in the same sentence? How exciting.
Well, that was disappointing. Speaking of Spike, have y'all seen this show? The one I saw, was "Can you revive your drowning friend with your gas?"
yeah i was a little let down by it too, but i figured Nathan Fillion would be enough to sell it. It was directed by James Gunn, ex-husband of Pam from The Office, and director of "Slither" and "Tromeo & Juliet".ugh. Manswers. It always comes on when my CSI marathons end abruptly. I have to hope that its demographic doesn't actually exist.
...blamo!!!!/nathan fillion was in that video?
Who was that lady? Some porn star? Was she supposed to be attractive?
Aria Giovanni is hot! Oh that's right, I like trash...
trash can be fun. ;)not sure what was up with her eyebrows in that but she's pretty much ubiquitous on the internet. she can, apparently, clean up nice. or at least be photoshopped nice.its up to the blogspotters to check out the linked videos on the right of that spike site and report back here!with pictures if necessary. :p
She's no Rachel Starr, that's for sure ;)
- i listened to the newest episode of Confessions Of An Internet Addict on my commute home featuring blogspot all-stars T.dot Kim, Alirio & of course, Stephanie. It was a great podcast, very relaxed & funny. I'll definitely try to track down some of those movies. I was a little disapointed that there was no mention of the most famous Canadians of all, The McKenzie Brothers
andrew:I'm glad you brought that up. It is a little known fact that Bob McKenzie is also the name of a non-fictional Sports Television reporter. He successfully sued the Canadian Radio and Telecommunication Commission last year to have all mentions of the FICTIONAL Bob McKenzie on airwaves of any kind(including Podcasts) against the law! Kimberley and I were actually being quite careful to not speak the name of he who cannot be named... in Canada;-)
P.S. We also neglected to mention the Canadian Football League so we could avoid being sued by listeners' families discovering their loved-ones had died of laughter while listening to the Podcast.;-) ;-)
jeez, jimmy. did a google search on that name...ack!!!my reaction was a bit like this.well, at least she's not Bai Ling. :p
Even with safe search on, that's dangerous.
ahh! bitch in that porn video has a busted face. Maybe with less makeup, but she looked sort of like a gremlin. don't feed her after midnight.
Don't feed her what after midnight? Also - don't get her wet.
ha!chris beat me to the "dont get her wet" comment by mere minutes.it's that five hour head start, i tell you./stopped to research how to spell mogwai//now with more coherent sentences
And now some words about the band "Mogwai" from Herlihy:
Random anonymous question for you smart folks. I'm thinking about popping the question. Should I get a ring and ask or ask without one? Ladies, what would your preference be? She knows that I want to marry her, but I haven't asked her officially yet.I already emailed the Married Man podcast guys, but haven't got a response yet.
I imagine ring is nice, if you can't get the size you can always resize it later.Alternatively, get a kind of "stand in" ring and then go shopping for something that she'd want later.Weighing the two up, I'd probably suggest getting the ring first.Anyone?
- if she knows you want to get married, and she's not just the nice lady at your bus stop, then i think a ring is in order.- aaah! Mother Superior from Pushing Daisies is none OTHER than Sheriff Isabelle.
Ring or no ring, anon. It's up to you. If she's picky then no ring. Go pick one out after. But you should ask, and be serious. My sister broke up with a boyfriend because he never asked officially and things were going nowhere. He always mentioned it casually, but nothing came of it. If you're serious, ask, ring or not.
Chris - I don't like Mogwai. Not really my stuff.I have friends that like the band though.
I didn't dare to presume whether they would be positive or negative words. How about DJ Moguai?
Ask here and then let her pick out the ring. Chances are, what you have in mind and what she has in mind are two totally different things.
yeah, lots of couples i know have found the ring together. seems like it would alleviate the problem of a guy picking a ring that the gal can't stand.or maybe she'd just be pissed that you didnt have a ring yet. ack!
- Did you ask the dad yet?
thanks for the input guys. Haven't and won't ask the dad, what is this, 1970? We've been together for 4 years, living together for 2, so everyone knows what's coming.
TWSS!Nah, seriously - good luck!
anonymous, good luck!!! we're rooting for you!
IMO, with a ring. (Also I agree with Chris and have a "stand in" ring if you don't know what she wants or what the proper size is.)To me, with a ring shows you've taken the initiative, taken the time, and are serious, etc...but that's just me. I don't know you Anon, or your character so that doesn't mean you're not. GOOD LUCK!
thanks guys. The GF is pretty picky and likes what she likes so I think I'll take her along to pick out the ring. She's against diamonds so I have no idea what she would want as an alternate so I guess it will be best to just have her pick it out. Appreciate all of your help.
I bought the ring first, but I also had a decent, basic idea of what she'd want. If she's really picky, maybe you want to wait, but asking her, with the ring right there, is kind of cool (for both of you).It might not be the 1950s anymore, but still, ask her father's permission. The fact that no one expects it anymore will make it mean even more, and trust me, you'll score boffo brownie points with the future in-laws. Them brownie points are like gold.
Good luck, Anonymous.NEW THREAD!
asking her father doesn't really apply here. We're both in our early 30's and I have been part of her family in one way or another for nearly 15 years. Besides, her dad was never really involved with her life.
