Those were 4 boring contestants. As Ralph accurately stated Landon was a douche, but Tony and his "win one for the little cheerleader" wasn't much better. As for the ladies, we couldn't even remember their names. All we got was Little Rocky. 1 hour AG is in no way as good as 1 1/2 hour AG. Boo Nashville Star.

little rocky was a BIG heap of annoying. shut the #$@% up.

i'll continue rooting against her. tony and landon were pretty annoying too.

i was rooting for Chuanda despite here un-spellable name.

would have liked to have seen more Ferigno but such is life.

cant wait to watch the incredible hulk this weekend.

I have no idea what everyone is talking about.

Kablamo!

...I applied to go on the Weakest Link yesterday. What a farce.

PalmerEldritch said...

herlihy, that'd be awesome if you got to be on the show. let's hope that you get the human host and not the robot host with the death ray from Doctor Who.

my friend from highschool made a crap ton of money on jeopardy. ends up he's smart.

What's up peops!

Hope everyone is surviving the summer. I just heard we're going to get large hail today!

- Lost Lowdown has a 16 hour podcast on the finale. I made it through 8 hours last night and they had basically finished the recap, so i guess the 2nd 8 hours is mostly speculation about the show's mysteries.

- Is American Gladiators viewable online? I still haven't seen it since the days of Turbo & Nitro.

- I just saw Kung-Fu Panda. I was pleasantly surprised. It didn't fall into the usual Dreamworks pitfalls & in that way, kind of reminded me of Ice Age.

scrdmnkydst said...

Palmer - I've got to wait and see if i get an audition first... If it's based on general knowledge, then i'm a shoe-in. I watched a UK Apprentice version of the show last night and i got the majority of the question correct. And loads of the questions were business themed. Oh well.

PalmerEldritch said...

andrew., 16 f'n hours?! wtf?!

herlihy, i'd imagine even the most clever of people might turn into a quivering mass of stupid once the pressure's on. so, don't feel too horrible if you don't make it.

scrdmnkydst said...

Pfft. I'm not going to be intimidated by some 5 foot ginger scouse. I'm 6 foot 6 ffs!

I'm only doing it as i have nothing else to do this summer... and i have a chance to get some easy money. haha.

I think i might cut my hair. HMM.

AG is online with some complete episodes. Last night's complete episode is online at least at NBC.com. Eps. 3 and 4 are up at hulu.

I'm going to Kung Fu Panda with the 8-year-old crowd tomorrow. The 8-year-olds are very excited.

I've heard good things about Kung-Fu Panda. And the commercials feature one of the greatest songs ever, and you sure can't complain about that.

PalmerEldritch said...

holli, i want that shirt! i may have to pre-order. actually, i really dont need anymore t-shirts. have way too many of them.

and, herlihy, are you studying English while being English? that's badass.

scrdmnkydst said...

Yes. I'm an English man studying English Literature and a bit of Language. It's a bit like a busman's holiday really.

memphish said...

I'd really like that t-shirt too Palmer. I'm tempted to stick 6/18 on my calendar to remember to pre-order. Of course bobblehead Dwight in the t-shirt is priceless, but it really should be Jim pretending to be Dwight wearing it.

Holli

Stephanie said...

I really, really want that shirt. But of course I really want a TLI, a Dharmalars, and a Jay and Jack shirt.

Hulk Hogan is such a prick.

I've got a new summer show. The pilot is a free iTunes download. About 20 minutes in it gets LOL funny. The only problem is it airs the same time as AG. But it looks like it reruns at midnight Tues am too. It was created by Javier Grillo-Mar(however you spell his name) formerly of LOST and DJ Dan.

ladies...

Cuter than Knut?

holli, what would you compare Middleman to? i might have to start watching. sell me on it!

memphish said...

Not cuter than Knut, but cute indeed. Babe 3 anyone?

The Middleman has a Reaper feel but with a straight inside guy and an ass-kicker girl who looks like Alex Rousseau Linus, but isn't. I think it's a comic book and it has a definite comic book feel. Evil people are trying to take over the world, and straight guy and chick must stop it. And good, smart-ass Javi banter once it gets going.

I guess I shouldn't really compare it to Reaper because I gave up on that one post-strike, but hey, it's summer and I'm bored. Like tonight. What the heck is on besides basketball, and I hate the NBA.

Holli

scrdmnkydst said...

Reaper got well good post strike! Honestly! It focused less on the monster of the week and more into the mythology side of things, which is well good. I can't wait til the next season... i think it's only a mid-season show though...

Chris JC said...

Without looking his name up (posting on a Wii so can't be bothered, and certainly can't cut and paste), I believe the name is Javier Marxuach-Grillo. How did I do as a percentage? I'm not super confident about the middle R.

It's gone 2am, I really should attempt sleep.

Chris JC said...

OK. I caved and looked up. Looks like I did okay except for GETTING THE NAMES IN THE WRONG ORDER.

Sigh - bedtime, dude.

Stephanie said...

Downloading the Middleman pilot.
Chris, your job is in your blood, isn't it?

Chris JC said...

Staying up until 2am and finding answers? Sure is.

I even sent an uncharged apology for an incorrect answer. THAT's customer service.

LOST IS THE COOLEST! BEN AND ROLPH FTW!

Chris JC said...

I concur heartily with the previous statement.

Heck, we're ALL amazing!

PalmerEldritch said...

chris, do you really "look shit up for lazy people" for a living?

like some sort of man-powered google?

PalmerEldritch said...

steph, i watched 40 minutes of Day Watch last night and am duly impressed. interesting stuff. special effects are good too.

Stephanie said...

OMO, if anyone feels unsatisfied with things such as Heroes this is the movie for them. The good vs evil theme is well played out.

PalmerEldritch said...

OMO?

Stephanie said...

IMO - sorry.

PalmerEldritch said...

after Day Watch comes Night Watch, eh? and then there's a Twilight Watch in the plans?

scrdmnkydst said...

...No.

first it's Night Watch, then Day Watch and i think it's Dusk Watch. Not sure about the last one though....

PalmerEldritch said...

kablamo!!!!

PalmerEldritch said...

and, yes, i'm watching Night Watch not Day Watch. someone put numbers in there so i can keep track of the titles!

scrdmnkydst said...

Ah...

Wikipedia says that it's either Dusk or Twilight Watch.

Chris JC said...

Palmer - that is pretty much what I do.

EXCITING!

PalmerEldritch said...

chris, maybe you could text answers to Herlihy if he makes it on to the Weakest Link.

scrdmnkydst said...

Pfft. I'm not getting in no Major coughing scandal.

scrdmnkydst said...

Also, Palmer.

I've just realised, you made a mistake! The robot Anne in the Doctor Who episode didn't have a death ray! She had a teleportation ray that sent people in the midst of the daleks to have all the humanity take out of them and become Daleks.

Sure, i know i'm being belatedly pedantic, but better late than never.

For shame Palmer.

PalmerEldritch said...

i may have to turn in my Nerd badge. :(

Just give it here, I'm sure I can give it a better home...

well well...nicely played sir! you hadn't made your Whoknowledge known (bows head) :)

I forgot to post here last night that there's a few new bits over at the SPLOG

It just occurred to me - "bits" can be a dirty word over there in brit-land, yes?

memphish said...

Starbuck and 6 ride motorcycles. I'd forgotten 6 is going to be on Burn Notice. Makes me wish even more that it was July 10th.

MB - No one ever asked if i have Who knowledge. Although, it was I who reminded you that the new season had started.

As a thankyou, you can all look at my new review, Wake Up... blah blah blah

yeah, that's two reviews in two days. It's so hard work being amazing.

I'd upgrade for that phone. As it is, I'm sticking out the current contract, then we'll see.

PalmerEldritch said...

"bits" can be dirty in the US, mb. especially if they're "naughty bits."

there were some pics of Starbuck and Caprica 6 in bikinis on motorcycles a few weeks ago for some magazine or other but i was at work so couldn't investigate further.

i'll get my Nerd badge back by quoting Star Trek season three episode "Spock's Brain:"

"Brain? Brain? What is brain?!"

Trevor McFur said...

I think that 'bits and pieces' might be considered a little dirty too, but I think that was stolen from the Brits to begin with.

Trevor McFur said...

Spock will be fine as long as he has that reverse brain transplant.

PalmerEldritch said...

"Spock's Brain" poster. :)

Spock's Brain lego!!!!!

PalmerEldritch said...

did some digging on that and www.diamondselecttoys.com has more of 'em too. including the hot Lego bitches of the Mirror Universe. freakin' hilarious.
