Thanks for the casting news on the last thread.

So if Richard is a gangster on CBS ... then how is he on the island at the same time???? Oh my god, my mind was just blown!!!!

elias said...

Cheers for that casting news Holli.

Both are top character actors and would be great in Lost.

Jordan said...

You ever have one of those days where you just feel like throwing all your crap off your desk, punching your computer, and walking out of work?

Stephanie said...

Jordan, I don't like seeing the violent side of your personality.

Jordan said...

Steph, I'm not violent. I just get frustrated at times. Especially with work. I never actualize my frustration and anger, so that's why I must complain on the internet. It's my therapy.

I'm sad that the blogspot seems to be slowly dying. The new forum is nice in it's own way. But it's as if everybody is off in serperate little groups.

memphish said...

Today, both are dying Jordan. Everyone must have a life -- the horror!

Is anyone going to watch that new show Damages tonight? I've still got last week's Burn Notice on the DVR unwatched. I didn't like Ep. 3 as much as Ep. 2.

And did anyone watch Mad Men last week? I meant to, but I forgot since I was on vacation.

Holli

memphish said...

For those following the Cloverfield stuff.

Holli

Jordan said...

Ralph, I haven't watched any of those shows. But every time I hear the commercial for Mad Men, I always hear "Man Man" and think of the comic. Sometimes I'll hear it while doing other things and go, "Oh crap! Ralph will be stoked. Oh wait." lol.

elias said...

this could be it for our friend Nathan. John Cusack obviously wasn't available.

Stephanie said...

Like all previous weeks, I regret not calling the Lars line.
Love Aimee's sudden profanity laden call.

Jordan, after listening to "Brian Kinkaid" I see to what podcast you were refering. He sounds like he's hard to entertain so I wouldn't be disappointed in his review. You probably offended him.

Elias, John Cusack must have demanded too much money for that low budget film. When does it come out on DVD? I can't wait. Hopefully it does propel Nathan's career, finally. If it doesn't, then Desperate Housewives surely will.

Holli, episode 2 of Burn Notice was the better. Just go ahead and delete last weeks. It pretty much stunk. I'm still holding out hope for next week.

elias said...

2007 is the year of Nathan Fillion. If not then 2008 will be ;)

Jordan said...

Wait, what? I have no clue what you're talking about Steph. What did I do to offend him?

elias said...

BK accuses you of stealing Ben's review from Die Hard 4. you do a podcast?

he cracked me up with his wiffleball tournament chat.

Brian Kincaid said...

I heard someone kinda making fun of me, but I gues they always say "Imatation is the most flattering form of greatness", I guess.

Brian Kincaid said...

Let me be clear, Jordan from 206 is not the same Jordan Morris from the " Jordan, Jesse Go" podcast.

mb said...

Thanks Holli for the link!
Man I hope that info about "Monstrous" is indeed the Cloverfield movie. Would love a big-ass movie about biblical monsters.

[ally] said...

** i know this is probably later but...

Jordan from the 206 said:

response: YES!

Stephanie said...

I hope all going to San Diego have a safe trip. Hope you have a ball.

memphish said...

Ditto on the safe travels.

Palmer, a cheap romantic time on the water with the girlfriend can be had by taking the ferry from downtown over to Coronado. You could then rent bikes and bike around the Island (acutally it's a peninsula) to the Hotel Del Coronado. Stop by McP's pub near the Hotel Del for a good beer, or at the Cornoado Brewing Company closer to the ferry dock.

And if you're brave try the fish tacos at Rubio's or any other local Mexican joint. They are delicious! Seriously! They were my favorite food to get at the Murph.

Holli

Jordan said...

Um, yeah. I don't think Brian Kinkaid was talking about me. I don't do a podcast where I rip off Ben's movie reviews, at least that I know of. As far as I'm aware, myself and BK don't have any reasons to be adversarial. And on a totally unrelated note, I'd pitch in some money to fly the Dharmalairs out to BK's mall to do that podcast. Slam dunk!

Oh, and how cute was Aimee's profanity ridden tirade? That girl cracks me up. One thing though. During her call she is talking about her bee sting or whatever. She then says to Balph, "Not that's it's your fault or anything." I'm not so sure. She was wearing their super bright yellow t-shirt at the time. And aren't some bees attracted to yellow? Just saying. If I ever get a bee sting while wearing my shirt, I'm calling up the listener line and cussing both those two fools out like nobody's business. Be forewarned.

Anonymous said...

A myriad of flies and bees are indeed attracted to the colour yellow. You know, pollen and all that stuff...

memphish said...

There's a special guest on the new Metro Buzz podcast. He almost made me snort coffee out my nose because of a comment about sticking things and banks.

Holli

Ralph- said...

yeah, Colleen IMed me and asked if i wanted to be on the show and since i had the mixer and mic on the bed from the Listener Special, i figured i would do it. it was a blast!!

memphish said...

It was a fun show. I'd give it a "Woo Hoo."

Holli

Benjamin said...

Hey, guys. I've been away for a while because I didn't want the Interwebnet to ruin the ending of Harry Potter for me. Now, I'm all caught up, but I can only stop by to say I'll be working all day to earn my time off, and then I'll bolt for the Comic Convention.

memphish said...

Dr. "Hit By a Bus" Burke was on that show Damages last night. For some reason even though he was a NYC lawyer he talked like he was from New Orleans. It bugged me, and Juliet wasn't there to wish for a bus.

The show was fair. It's not like there was anything else on. I'll give it another go next week. The music was overwhelming, and the sister-in-law actress' acting better improve if she's going to turn out to be important.

Is everyone on an airplane or something today?

i am in california. gunna preview the exhibition hall tonight. w00t!

six or seven hours on planes gets the thumbs down. but hopefully the zoo and the park will get the thumbs up. not too mention damon and carlton giving us the secret season four casting update that already found its way to the internet.

memphish said...

It's the whiny reporters faults. They get paid to listen about TV, and get testy when people paying to listen about TV are the ones who are going to the goods. Ironic.

I'd guess the Emmy people would complain too, but they've apparently never heard of LOST. I'm pretty sure it was like Palm Beach County in Season 1 and the voters thought they were marking their ballot for The Sopranos. (This ends bitter Emmy rant.)

Holli

mb said...

You need not end ranting on the idiocracy that is the Emmys.

mb said...

And Ally - yes agreed - it feels like the calm b4 the Con-Storm.

Palmer - are you going to get on the mic w/Balph?

Stephanie said...

Holli, my parent's friends from NOLA sound an awful lot like they're from NYC.
ralph-, if I catch you before you go, we're hoping for a Love Connection during the AD intervention. So, don't be a third wheel. And when I say "we" I mean me.

Stephanie said...

Well, me and Colleen.

[ally] said...

Well, mb, hopefully we'll get some juicy goodness once they get to Comic Con. Cause this waiting around is slightly depressing.

Oh and Holli, agreed on the Emmy rant. Maybe those people are new, and don't know a good show if it hit them on the head.

memphish said...

We want some Palmer on the Dharmalars! Do you think he'll try to fool us and use his real name though?

Holli

[ally] said...

Congrats to jay and jack for getting mentioned in the Comic Con Events.

Comic Con Confidential

[ally] said...

I think you're on to something Holli. He would probably do that.

memphish said...

Jay and Jack's next t-shirt should say "superfan". :D

Holli

P.S. That reminds me I need to wear a LOST related t-shirt tomorrow.

Stephanie said...

Thanks Ally for the Jay and Jack on yahoo.
I think Palmer's far too shy to get anywhere near the Dharmalar's podcast.

Trevor McFur said...

Wow, Jay & Jack's 'famous podcasts'. Not bad.

Jordan said...

I agree with Holli. Put Palmer on the podcast! He can be the voice of the blogspot. It would also be cool to hear his comic-con impressions as I'm sure it will be different for a first timer as opposed to Balph, who are grizzled old vets at this point. Emphasis on the word grizzled.

Yeah, slow day on the blogspot. I'm sure it's just everybody probably having nice weather and re-familiarizing themselves with the outdoors. Either that or they have better things to do. I'm not really sure how busy it's been over at the message board, but maybe that's partly responsible? I don't have a problem with the board as it's cool for certain things. It's just that I don't really have the time to fully peruse it whilest at work. It's a bit more involved than going to one page and quickly scrolling. Oh well. Both are cool. Just as long as that's it. I don't know how much more I can handle. lol.

Darryl Cunningham said...

Ain't It Cool News also reports that Michael will return in series four. So this is looking increasingly likely and not just a rumour. Hooray!

iverseng said...

Oh hey, that was me. Cool, I have an account I never knew about. I suppose this awe and wonder is what it would feel like to meet your long lost child.

Uh huh, for sure.

iverseng said...

Oh bollocks. By me, I meant Gillian. Totally cocked that up. Whoops.

ash said...

Can't wait to see Michael on Lost again.

jj said...

wow so the lost finale finally airs tonight in australia. not that anyone will watch it since everyone downloads it anyway.

but for those innocent people that have waited they were totally fucked up when the preview in the newspapers was 'the first jaw-dropping moment comes courtesy of the flashback. This time it flashes foward to reveal the post-island life of a regular character.'

any fan of the show that would of read that must be pissed.

Stephanie said...

Good morning blogspot.
I'm not excited about the big Lost news. I have much resentment built up in my heart. I want to know how much Lindeluce hade to change the story of the show because of him. How much did he affect the overall picture? Like I said, I'm bitter.

memphish said...

Oh, Steph, looking back on Season 3, where would they have had time to stick Michael in it? It was arguable over-packed as it was. The only reason they needed HP was to stick him in that casket in the finale.

So do we think Palmer adjusted to the time change and is sleeping in, or is he lurking around here somewhere?

Holli

Stephanie said...

Hopefully his hotel has wifi.
Palmer, take lots of pictures to share with us.
I can't wait to see how he's worked back into the story. Will we buy it? Or will Lost jump the shark?

Trevor McFur said...

My bet is, Mike & Walt come back only in the future storyline. That way, they don't have to stick him back in the island, and we also get a nice excuse for why Walt got so big.

memphish said...

Trevor, I figure that will be the case too. They can give us some exposition about what happened when Mike and Waaaalllttt followed that compass bearing without having to show us. I still think it's Mike in the coffin.

Holli

/69 Kablamo!

Stephanie said...

Mike in the coffin was my first instinct.

Trevor McFur said...

Mike in the coffin seems right to me too. The only thing is, don't you think that Walt would have gone to the funeral? Unless he's gone as well...

PalmerEldritch said...

Michael could be on the boat helping our LOSTies get rescued. Rescued by the bad guys... but, hey, at least he'd be trying. Right?

Met Ben, Ralph, Jay, Jack, and Clif last night. Not Ravenscraft. But Jay's friend Clif. Somehow, I thought Jay'd be taller. But the guy's right around my size.

Today is the San Diego Zoo. Then off to Comic-Con and eventually the LOST panel. I'll be sporting a Dharmalars shirt all over time so here's hoping a rhinoceros or an aardvark or something at the Zoo starts listening to the feed because of me.

Oh. I'll say a couple of things about Comic-Con's Preview Night (they open up the exhibition hall the night before Comic-Con). It's kind of scary how many cartoon girly mags are being sold here. And some of them are set up right next kids' stuff. So, dad takes junior to look at Doctor Who action figures and you know that junior will be looking at the next booth over.

Also, it was crowded like nobody's business so I didn't get to take a good look at anything but Ralph assured me that it'll be less crowded once the panels up and people are attending those and the signings.

Oh. And I'm pretty sure that I saw Virgil from late 80s wrestling at the airport in Philly at 7:30 am. He counts as a celebrity, right? Maybe? Sort of?

memphish said...

Pictures! We need pictures! Hopefully the animals at the Zoo won't find the Dharmalars Yellow as offensive as Aimee's bee did.

Holli

P.S. If they start posting on myspace someone is going to have to let me borrow their login so that I can see them.

Trevor McFur said...

Holli, you can borrow my myspace login if you want. But no girling up my page. Of course, it takes about 2 minutes to actually get your own account, and it's not as if you actually need to do anything with that page if you don't want to!

memphish said...

Trevor, will I need to be people's "friends" to see their pictures though? I don't have time to wait for Ralph to approve me for the 'Lars.

Holli

Trevor McFur said...

Hmm, good point. I'm not actually sure. I think it depends on the account settings. PM me on the boards, I can send you my login info.

[ally] said...

Palmer-
Watch out for bees/wasps/hornets while your sporting your golden(rod) shirt outdoors. And you want to meet celebrities? You already met Ralph, Ben, Jay and Jack! :)

Stephanie said...

Nothing noteworthy yet, Holli. Only what looks like a pic from last year. We should expect news late tonight or in the morning, right? The panel is 5pm which is 9 for us, Holli? So I don't expect anything until the am.
Man, I wish I were Palmer right now.

Trevor McFur said...

Is that pic from last year? I wasn't sure if it was from last night or not. We may have to clue it together based upon Ralph's facial hair.

Jordan said...

Sweet Palmer. Sounds like a blast. Be sure to pick up as many of the cartoon girly mags as you can. Nothing better than cartoon chicks with boobs bigger than their heads and waists skinnier than their wrists.

Stephanie said...

This may come out wrong but I would have never thought ralph- and Colleen in the real world would be such good friends. They seem very different. I guess that shows the magic of Lost, Arrested Development and apparently Run Ronny Run.

Stephanie said...

or Ronnie

Trevor McFur said...

It feels like everyone's gone off on vacation or something, and we're the one's who are left at home watching the dog.

memphish said...

Say true, Trevor. I even have to take the dog to the vet this afternoon. She's been limping and it hasn't gotten better the 3 days I've been watching her limp. I'm afraid (for my pocketbook) that it's arthritis. She'll be 10 in January.

Steph, the LOST panel is at 7 pm our time. We're 2 hours ahead of Califonia.

The panel with JJ Abrams is at 1:30 PDT, 3:30 for me, Steph and anyone else in the Central time zone, so hopefully there will be some "Monstrous" news.

Holli

[ally] said...

Good use of Monstrous, Holli :) And yeah hopefully they'll be some.

So, Trevor if you're watching the dog, I guess I'll be watering the plants.

Jordan said...

My dog just pooped in the refrigerator.

Trevor McFur said...

Did he eat a wheel of cheese too Jordan?

Ally, just as long as I don't have to clean the cat box.

/My dog's name really is Baxter.

[ally] said...

We'll need someone else to do that, since you're already watching the dog and I'm watering plants. Cause I know, I'm not doing it.

memphish said...

I'm not cleaning the cat box either. We need a House Assistant. I was watching the new Bravo show "Flipping Out" on the net yesterday, and the guy has not one, but two house assistants (as opposed to executive or personal assistants) and one of their jobs is cleaning the cat box.

Holli

[ally] said...

Where can we get one of those? I'll settle for just having one.

memphish said...

From the new Creed Thoughts:

Pennsylvania should change its name to Transylvania. Lots of idiots buy all kinds of vampire rings and vampire necklaces and garlic-flavored vampire gum. There’s a lot of dough to be made from these suckers and I’m tired of seeing it go to foreigners. If we change the name of the state, we can probably do away with property tax considering the amount of souvenirs we’re going to sell. Also, vampire fans are notoriously good tippers.

Holli

Trevor McFur said...

I live in PA, and while I have no desire to see my home state overrun by a bunch of no-tan gothophiles ... I wouldn't mind seeing my property taxes go away.

[ally] said...

Nothing like some garlic-flavored vampire gum to get you through the day.

Stephanie said...

OMG, the clock has stopped and the blogspot is slowly dying. Will ComicCon revive our precious hangout?

[ally] said...

Oh God I hope so! Cause this is painfully slow. We need something interesting to talk about before we die of boredom.

mb said...

(sigh) those lucky bastards are probably meeting Jorge or something right now...

mb said...

I should say - seeing Jorge AGAIN! It's good to be a Dharmalar :D

Trevor McFur said...

Sigh... So the Lost panel is starting NOW?

[ally] said...

(sigh) They're sitting there having the time of their life, while we watch their dog, who is probably taking a nap right now.

Trevor McFur said...

And that cat box stinks. Isn't mb supposed to clean it? That's what his mac said.

[ally] said...

Well somebody better clean it, either mb or maybe one of Holli's house assistants can take care of it. Pronto. Before we pass out of either the stink or boredom. We need some Lost goodness to cheer us up.

Mattastic said...

Newbie here, but long time reader (you guys are hilarious by the way) So, is there any live updates from Comic-Con. There should be some JJ dish right about now. Isn't instant communication what the Interwebs is for?

Jordan said...
This comment has been removed by the author.
Jordan said...

Holy crap! We might actually get to 108! Remember the good old days? Ahhh. Total nostalgic moment there.

Palmer needs to stop whatever the hell it is he's doing at Comic-con (getting an autograph from Xena's blonde sidekick or something) and write us some updates!

Didn't Balph say that they weren't going to the Lost panel because they hate Lindeluse so much? Hopefully somebody from the 'spot goes, so we can get a recap.

Awesome Creed thought Holli. I totally forgot about those.

Anybody hear from that nut ball, Aimee in Little Rock? Where you at girly? How's the bee sting doing? You have now given me a mortal fear of wearing my dharmtards shirt.

[ally] said...

Hello newbie, and welcome. We're all waiting anxiously for some info, but no word yet. Hopefully we'll hear something soon, cause the curiousity/anticipation is killing us.

memphish said...

memphish said...

Latest on JJ:

JJ Abrams just ran out for two seconds. "I want a monster movie." Didn't give the title but said it's not called MONSTROUS.

Holli

memphish said...

I hope the 'Lars et al didn't underestimate the size of things this year. Everyone I've been reading says there are horrendous lines everywhere.

Holli

memphish said...

So this is apparently all that happened with JJ:

JJ Abrams comes out (wearing an Infocom shirt, to boot!) and in extremely rapid-fire fashion he tells us, "I wanted a monster movies, and had taken my son to Japan, and there were all these Godzilla dolls everywhere." *cheers from the audience* "However, I decided we needed our own monster. We're not showing any footage, but we're almost done shooting, and I think you'll love it. We aren't revealing a title today." *boos from the audience* "What would you think if we called it Monstruous?" *Puzzled reaction from crowd.* "Anyhow, we'll see. We have a new poster out, and you'll be getting that today. I can't wait for you to see this.. Bye!

And here's the story on the poster.

Holli

[ally] said...

Thanks for the link, Holli. Yeah those lines look "monstrous" ;)

memphish said...

I guess that's about it until the LOST panel. Hopefully our intrepid crowd will report in soon.

Holli

Stephanie said...

Bulletins are currently undergoing special maintenance. They'll be back soon. :-)

Bulletins are down on myspace. Tom must be anticapating ComicCom.

[ally] said...

Tom better get that fixed, otherwise, madness will ensue.

Mattastic said...

Thanks Holli for the scoop on the new poster and the dialog from JJ. I can buy that he would want to make an original Monster movie. I also read a rumor that he is intentionally releasing the movie in Jan 2008 for the cool reference to Lost (108, get it?) JJ is certainly egotistical enough for that kind of shenanigans.

Can't wait for Lost panel news!!

Thanks for the welcome all...

elias said...

welcome mattastic - ddn't see the 108 reference until now.

comic con geeks shouldn't boo JJ - save that for Cuseloff.

all this news'll have to wait untl I wake up tomorrow.

[ally] said...

It's like waiting for Christmas morning...

We want our panel news now so we can unwrap the fun.

Leave it to the newbie to get the 108 reference, the rest of us are so excited to hear news that we're not even thinking. lol.

Mattastic said...

Was also reading about the new video game, checking out the screenshots at DarkUFO. Says it won't release now until Q1 2008. Geez, can't they give us more to tide us over during the long autumn of nothingness?

Got anything but a driveby insult to offer?

memphish said...

Ralph's probably about to die of boredom -- Cuseloff are discussing the writing process.

Holli

Mattastic said...

I hope someone has the cojenes to ask Lindeluse: how long di it took you to realize the the first 6 episode were awful and that you needed to get your act together for the stretch run?

memphish said...

They screen the Qs, so I doubt it.

Holli

Mattastic said...

But they should allow some questions to be critical I would think, as long as it's not mean-spirited. There's got to be a PC way to ask that question, because I know there had to be a cognizant decision to change course and pick up the pace because the first six episodes were panned so loudly by the fans and critics.

Mattastic said...

DarkUFO blogger just reported that Harold Perrineau (sp?) is one of the surprise panelists
