they shouldn't show too many flashforwards early next season - there's so much island stuff to deal with. if I had to choose I'd say a Kate FF so we can find out who she's so desperate to get back to.
As for first FB I'd go for Ben - contrast his ascendance on the island and girlfriend stuff with his loss of power in 2004.
Lost is getting confusing and that's a good thing in my book.
Steph - cinema trip was a 'mare evidently. We get the same over here, especially youths talking loudly on their phones throughout the film. The highlights of Pirates for me were Keef Richards, the monkey and....multiple Jacks.
I agree with Elias. I think they should keep the flash forwards to a minimum, just so as to not abandon the island stuff too much and keep the flash forwards fresh and exciting.
It's gonna be tough for them to balance the flashbacks & fowards. Too many flashfowards are gonna make the island story seem irrelevant. Too few and it's gonna feel like a great big tease. I hope they know what they're doing!
Every episode, will we be trying to figure out if we're watching ff or fb? Thanks for getting us back on track, Holli. We've been a mess since you've been gone.
I think that we'll get a sprinkling af flashfowards next year. I don't think that they'll wait until the end of the year ... because now we KNOW that they get off the island; they've got to give us a little more of that so that we don't feel like they're just wasting our time until they catch up and start telling 'the real story'. They've got to tell the foward story in some way, and do it in a way that we still want to see the island story to find out what happened.
Elias, I tend to think that the FF was a tease too a la the 4-toed statue, which wouldn't bother me. I don't want too much off-Island, but problem is I don't want anymore pre-Island on most of the characters. Exceptions - Alpert, Ben, Danielle, Desmond and the story of Sayid's Daddy issues. And please, please, please, no random background character FBs.
Palmer. I am still on page 3. but in other comic news, i found out today that a letter that i wrote to mike allred will appear in Madman Atomic Comics #3. cool. i hope that you dont mind reading some huge kissassery
Phil Leotardo's corpse, I don't think that you have to worry about seeing the movie, because your eyeballs are probably popped out of your crushed skull.
So I got this lost theory. It's all just Hurley's delusional ramblings. The end of the show is going to reveal him still in the looney bin. And all the lostaways and others are going to prove to be others in the mental institution, kinda like Libby.
I did a sort of review of the Fantastic Four sequel but on the off chance some people here MIGHT care about the plot (and as I talk about bits of it and can't "mask" them on Blogger) I've posted it on a LOST forum linked to below (don't construe this as Spam as I barely ever use that forum. I'm just doing so now to amuse you guys.
I've just realised that you probably won't be able to read that without signing up to the forum itself so I'll tell you what - rather than skank this place up with my opinion brush, drop me a line at johnnyghostwatch@gmail.com if you think you might be interested.

holli, in that case, my head will officially implode. :)

I second Steph's comment. Welcome back Holli.
i'm hoping for Flashbacks for most people and flashforwards for the people with boring ass flashbacks like Kate and Jack.
Jack, Kate, Locke, Hurley, Sawyer - now they've made me not want to see any FBs from the core characters.
tentative prediction - they might have been teasing us with FFs which won't come until the season 4 finale.

Holli
I wholehaeartedly agree with that last one Holli.
I want to see a Steve flashback.

For some reason I'm just off out of the door for the world premiere of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in London's Leicester Square.
Oh.... dear.
I'd talk more but it's gone 1am here, so I'm off.
ralph... mike allred read The Watchmen. so should you.
i'll do my damndest to look out for Madman at the comic shop. last time i was there, they didn't have it. bastards.
Silver Surfer looks like total crap. Seeing as the first one was as well, I can't see why anybody would be surprised.
On the Lot- I voted for Andrew.
Palmer. maybe i will read page 4.
Frankly Ralph, try to crank through Chapter 1 and then it picks up. Except for the annoying Laurie--skip her all together!
Holli
don't skip the Laurie stuff, she's an important character. but, yeah, she's annoying.
