w00t!!!

Looks like Jeremiah is up to a whopping 6%, so everyone make sure you vote!

Ralph- said...

i looked at all the myspace bulletins and it looks like the whole Lost Podcast community is out there spreading the word. If you vote for Jay, i will post the Dharmalars episode tonight, if not, i will post it tomorrow. So you can see, there is a lot riding on this election!

Ralph- said...

i wonder if Jay is listening to TLI or the Lars in that pic.

[ally] said...

VOTE FOR JEREMIAH!!!

[ally] said...

i'm trying to get everyone i know to vote, come on team we can get him those guitars.

ok so if he wins, what do we get? is he gonna like write us a song or something?

Stephanie said...

Who cares what the competition sounds like. Vote for Jeremiah. Whoever he is.

mb said...

Go Jay! I just voted for him without actually listening to the song. I just hope Jack isn't on vocals ;)

Stephanie said...

I predict Jay will win by a landslide as soon as his little teen fans get wind of this.

elias said...

ouch - are they of legal voting age? ;)

done and it's only just over 6%.

Halpr - how 'bout posting that bad boy today? I am like 12 hours ahead of you.

Jimmy said...

Maybe if you all buy a t-shirt or too as well the Lars can have a night off from the "Top Ramen" :)

PalmerEldritch said...

mmmm... top ramen...

i wouldn't rob you of your top ramen, jimmy. but i did buy a shirt.

i've voted for Jay three times. what a bastard.

Ralph- said...

i ate Top Ramen yesterday. it tasted like shit.

Trevor McFur said...

He's definitely got his work cut out for him, he's got a ways to go just to catch the 2nd place guy, let alone the first place guy. Are you able to vote more than once Palmer, I can only vote once

[ally] said...

Yeah I was only able to vote once, too. So if you voted more than once, what's your secret?

PalmerEldritch said...

firefox and IE at work. firefox on my mac at home. but if you REALLY wanted to cheat, then try clearing your internet cache and cookies.

[ally] said...

i didn't realize there was a way to "not really" cheat, p.

maybe only cheating we'll be able to bring down what's-his-name that's in the lead.

PalmerEldritch said...

heheheheheh. good point, ally!

i was trying to say that if you didnt have access to multiple machines and multiple browsers, but were still looking to vote multiple times, you could go to Tools -> Internet Options and blow away your cookies and browsing history and all that jazz.

in IE, of course.

i haven't tested it though.

Anonymous said...

Stephsmith is right. Once the teen fanboys get word of this, it's over. People here shouldn't even bother. I like Jay and all. He's a cool guy. But the idol worship that goes on at the J&J boards is a bit scary. This place better not become like that. I don't want to see posters with signature and avatars that say "Ralph can father my children anytime" or "Viva La Ralph".

Anonymous said...

Diego Gamboa all the way!!!

PalmerEldritch said...

MexiFat, jay put out his request for help on his boards yet? if not, someone should post it. you know, someone besides me...

Diego de La Vega > Diego Gamboa

Jimmy said...

Mexifat,

I would love Ralph to father my children!

Ralph- said...

speaking of me fathering children, have you seen my latest blog on myspace. pretty cool stuff.

PalmerEldritch said...

ralph, that's great. don't forget the free tie every father's day.

also, ralph, you could just buy a dog.

p.s. congrats on the kablamo, you beautiful bald bastard.

Anonymous said...

Oh no. Little Ralph's running around. The world will never be the same.

[ally] said...

Viva la Ralph!

memphish said...

I don't do Myspace; did Ralph get Stevi knocked up? Just saw that movie finally. What did Matthew Fox do to Seth Rogan?

congrats to ralph for getting his broad pregnant! you tha man now dog!

Stephanie said...

Good grief, we've started an internet rumor. Or rumour.

PalmerEldritch said...

ralph got six girls pregnant. via telekinesis... with his mind!

Trevor McFur said...

Looks like Jeremiah is up to 10% ... when does the voting close?

PalmerEldritch said...

woah. trevor, you win.

best.avatar.evar!

Anonymous said...

Jay sayd that the voting goes until 3 A.M. tonight (tomorrow morning).

If you set your preferences to not accept cookies, you can just keep hitting refresh, and keep voting as many times as you like.

Jay says this is not cheating, since the 1st and 2nd place guy are obviously (and I quote) "cheating way more" ;-)

I'll buy that...

I hope everyone goes and supports New Hampshire, in heart, tomorrow with the release of Live Free or Die Hard. Although sadly Bruce doesn't run around the streets of our State Capital of concord, i am sure he will kill a bunch of people.

PalmerEldritch said...

New Hampshire is so bad ass that we roundhouse kicked the Old Man in the Mountain to the ground.

Trevor McFur said...

Well, I did my part ... unfortunately it seems that the other contestants know about the 'turn off your cookies' trick too...

t-dot kim said...

I VOTED!

Who's pregnant?

Ralph- said...

you have to read my myspace blog to find out.

Jordan said...

Anybody care to fill in the non-myspace on here what the hell Ralph is being so cryptic about?

Ralph- said...

well, if you must know, there is a problem with the last recorded segment of our latest podcast and i dont know how to fix it. i will get it up as soon as i can tomorrow.

Ralph- said...

KABLAMO!!

PalmerEldritch said...

dude, ralph is on kablamo-fire. it's like he's re-dedicated his life to beating holli's kablamo record!

"i need to get me honor back!" - ralph right before he went on his year long kablamo spree across the seas

memphish said...

Ralph, if you're going to steal all the Kablamo's you need to spill the myspace secret.

Holli

PalmerEldritch said...

holli, your LOST Question of the Day?!

Stephanie said...

I've never seen New Hampshire with my own eyes but I seriously doubt it could be considered bad ass.

The IT guys have done it. They've fix it where I can't get into the blogspot. I kept finding backdoors in but now I think they're successful in finding something I can't hack. I can just see them all in their office cubicles plotting ways to keep me from my beloved blogspot.

I'll email you two non-myspacers with the inside joke.

memphish said...

Now Palmer, you know where to check out the LOST QOTD. Today I have 11 questions; should have gone for 15 I just realized. They're all about Tabula Rasa. I'm rewatching the entire series in fits and starts.

I'll post a highlight question here for you though:Did Walt make the rain stop so that Michael could look for Vincent?

Steph, thanks for the email. I'll look forward to it.

Holli

Stephanie said...

yes

Jordan said...

Steph. Have you ever tried that Ninja Proxy site that somebody on here was talking about a while back?

Stephanie said...

Jordan, Ninja Proxy didn't work when we had Websense. I don't know what we have now. I'll try it again. All this hacking they are forcing me to do is great training for my next career.

I have a The 4400 question. May contain mild spoiler.

Is this show like The X Files where one week you get an unbelievably great episode followed by a totally lame episode the next week? Because I think I'm still undecided about the clowns.

PalmerEldritch said...

steph, 4400 seems to be consistently good. with a totally fantastic episode thrown in a few times a season.

the clowns were a little weird until they were put into context. looking back, it's pretty humorous.

[ally] said...

I know what you mean, Steph. I've had my share of hacking and sneaking around here too. We're not allowed to visit sites like myspace, so I'm constantly having to figure out new ways to get into it.

Big corporations are training us to become spies.

Stephanie said...

Ally, I'm glad to see somebody around here shares in my paranoia.

PalmerEldritch said...

http://www.proxysite.org/ ?

:)

[ally] said...

i usually use captainkoala.com, but it seems to be down right now, otherwise i would use ninjaproxy.com (that's my backup).

i hope it works, steph. i know what it feels like to be disconnected from the world b/c "they" won't let us get online.

Stephanie said...

Took me three days but I finally got through the latest The 4400, p. Hubby thinks the show is a rip off of Heroes. I would think that too if I didn't know 4400 has been around a lot longer. Very cool reveal of Kyle's ability. What have I seen the little boy on before?

PalmerEldritch said...

i didnt watch Heroes before because i thought Greg Grunberg was going to be the lead and that it was just going to be a ripoff of the 4400.

they're both good shows and very different. 4400 is a lot more like Five Years Later where the govt and the public is trying to deal with the issues of there being 4400 people with uber-powers.

[ally] said...

I think you guys are starting to sell me on the 4400. I think I might stick that in my queue.

PalmerEldritch said...

ally (of the future), the 4400 has short seasons so it should be easy to catch up on. the first "season" is the mini series. probably six hours or something. then each season past then has 13 episodes. i think.

[ally] said...

sounds like a good summer catch up show. i'm almost done catching up on the office, so the 4400 will be next. i've also added arrested development, since i never really watched it when it was on. i saw one here and there but never really knew what was going on.

elias said...

wildly off-topic and of no interest to most of you:

that awful man Tony Blair has stepped down after 10 years, and our new PM is a Stalinist who makes Nixon look like a good bloke.

I think I'll check the 1st season of The 4400. Cheers for the recommendation Peeps.

PalmerEldritch said...

Vote Saxon.

Stephanie said...

Elias, why did Blair step down? Is it because he can admit he's a total screw up? Seriously, I haven't been paying attention. All I've heard is that he's in the midst of converting to Catholicism.

[ally] said...

i haven't been hearing much of that Blair stuff either, but i guess you would be more in the know if you live there where it's all happening.

nice avatar, steph.

elias said...

he was forced out by his former friend for a number of reasons, but mainly Blair lost popular support over Iraq. he lied to the country with the infamous "45 minute claim".

like your avatar too Steph

well, i won't get fooled again. i'll just set it for five minutes and wait til the kernels to stop popping.

and, as we're getting quite close to a you know what, someone get Ralph in here.

andrew. said...

-i donut do myspace. will all of this hush-hush be covered in the dharmalars episode?

-watched episode 3 of "John From Cincinatti". The acting and dialogue is still really awful, but for some inexplicable reason i'm intrigued and looking forward to the next episode. i'm afraid that all of the TV watching i did this year kind of trained me to the format.

-there was definitely some cheating going on for that jingle contest. i'm just glad that i don't ever have to actually hear that radio show.

Anonymous said...

Andrew, be careful. Just because a crappy show is able to be all vague and mysterious, doesn't mean it's any good. I learned my lesson with that god awful Carnival. I spent the entire season going, "I'm not sure if I really like this, but it seems like it might get better." Sadly to say, the answer was no, it didn't get better. Just kept being mysterious and ambiguous. John from Cincy blows. Don't make the mistake and figure that out after watching 20 episodes. You'll hate yourself.

andrew. said...

-Mexican Fat Dancer - You're probably right, but i can't help myself! Even though the ending of Carnivale left a bad taste in my mouth, i really enjoyed the series up to it's very last moment and don't regret watching it at all. "John From Cincinatti" isn't nearly as interesting, so it's not off the chopping block just yet.

I can't believe Ralph & Stevi are having twins! That's crazy! Hope it doesn't mean the end of the dharmalars. Although I guess Ben & his ego might be able to co-host together. It would at least end all this, "Ralph is holding me back" talk from Ben that we're always hearing. Congrats on the little ones Ralpho!

That would be Cat Deeley, Dan:

Cat!

Funnily enough most of the people I know don't really put her in the totally stunning camp, even though she's clearly very pretty. I guess it's cos we've had her on screen for years and just got used to it.

I was hoping to find a pic of her as "Cat the Dog" from SM:TV Live (not a literal dog, the "unattractive lady" kind of dog) but I can't, so have this tiny pic of the Beautiful Corrs instead (she's theone second from the right):

Corrs!

Dan, may I say - have always enjoyed the films even if, by the evidence of your message above, you've recently lost the ability to spell your own name.

Four Fried Chickens and a Coke!

that's a good name for a band.

So is the twins thing accurate? I don't know whether or not to trust Frankenberry. I always preferred Count Chocula. Will Ralph have a Bad Twin?

It's Ava Gardner, p. I watched The Killers last night. Not so much a great actress but beautiful. This was when she was very young. I think she must have improved over the years. Or she married an important man in Hollywood.

memphish said...

She married several important men Steph. First Mickey Rooney, then the bandleader Artie Shaw, then Frank Sinatra. I really like Mogambo where she's the cynical world-wise dame to Grace Kelly's ingenue all played against Clark Gable's despite my huge ears I can sleep with anyone I want-ness.

Here's your LOST QOTD and be sure to check out my crap use of Paint: Ben Linus and most everyone else, Hero or Villain?

Rant Alert...

Fuck the United States Passport Service because it’s not a service it’s paying over a hundred dollars to be anally raped. I applied for a passport 10 weeks ago, when I first applied they said it would take 8 weeks for them to process it. I am leaving, in theory, for Switzerland on Sunday. I called last week and they said they would expedite and I would have it in no time. I called again yesterday and they said they would expedite it, there was no record of a first request for it to be expedited, and add over night shipping to it. Because it was in South Carolina not Boston, where it should have gone cause I live in New Hampshire.

So I get a call today saying there is a problem with application. I apparently sent in my “fake” drivers license. They said because it was issued in February and expires in July they couldn’t accept it. I have to send them in Bank records, Tax Returns or College transcripts that are at least 5 years old. I was 19 five years ago. Sorry I didn’t save my tax return when I made about a grand a year.

They are the US fuckin government. Isn’t there a fuckin computer that will say YES this person was fuckin born here, YES he fuckin pays his taxes, He even has a fuckin speeding ticket he paid. He isn’t going to Switzerland to fuckin bomb it, He just wants to support his lady friend at the conference she has to present at. FUCK THIS SHIT.

Again sorry for this rant. You may skip it.

Ralph- said...

i think that murder is the only option, mike.

well, the shit is set up. almost ready to record. have a good one folks, see you on the next thread!

elias said...

Bureaucracy is a bitch.

Sometimes shouting at them works and at the very least it will make you feel better.

Jimmy said...

Well it cost me $417 to get my British passport renewed. Apparently the US government charges a $175 "process fee", which means someone in the USA looks at the passport, puts it in an envelope and posts it to the British consulate in DC...and charges $175.

The rest is the conversion of £ to $ and such like. Bottyom line, it cost me as much to get the passport as it would have been to have a holiday! US citizenship next time!

[ally] said...

the government just likes to take our money, don't they?

that's a pretty pricey passport, jimmy, make sure you don't lose it.
