Tim, that's a good thing. I expected this hiatus to move rather slowly, but it's been over a month already.

Today is Wednesday #5 of 12, so we're already almost at the half-way point!

Winter hiatuses are never that bad because the holidays are so busy and distracting; time just flies.

Whoops. I was still logged in. My bad. That was me up there ^

where is the picture of Jack and Locke from?

- SadAce

aimee is lost said...

That is from episode 1x05 "White Rabbit". Jack was dangling from the cliff after chasing (the hallucination of) his dad, and Locke pulls him back up.

...this "hallucination" theory may be up for grabs now after 3x05 when the black smoke allegedly masks itself as a "hallucination" of Yemi.

We get that a lot around here. People who post hate on the blog shouldn't be afraid to say who they are. I know it takes a few extra keystrokes to type your name, but whatever.

aimee is lost said...

Maybe Locke was having the same problem as Ralph.

Otis Redding, who sang These Arms of Mine which was featured in SOS, was killed in a plane crash. Did anyone else know this? Who else was killed in a plane crash? Patsy Cline
Anyone else?

aimee is lost said...

Musicians that died in plane crashes: Aaliyah, John Denver, Dean Martin's Son Dean Martin, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Jim Croce, Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper, Ritchie Valens, Buddy Clark, and Glenn Miller (whose song "Moonlight Serenade" appears on Lost twice - on the beach radio and in Jack's car).

Thats what American Pie is about. The song not the movie. That silly plane crash.

... don't forget Charlie Pace

That was bad Ralph

You how many dorks on this blog are going to try and watch that thing now, just to try and see whatever it is you just said. Well, at least one dork. Hahaha. Just kidding.

But I might try to see Matthew Fox, because I still don't quite understand what he was doing in this Monday Night Football promo I saw a few months ago. I thought he was on a show called Lost.

I am a little behind, but I just finished taking my walk down memory lane with the SAS. It was also a reminder of how Lost seems to be moving so slow!!! Its almost as though the writers are waiting for Dylan to be back from the navy.

Aimme- I know its not Lost material, but did you ever read any Chuck Norris novels as part of your SAS reading list?

aimee is lost said...

Officially, I only read the books that appear or are referenced on the show. One of Chuck Norris' literary efforts would have to be either on screen (i.e. Sawyer reading it on the beach) or be referred to in context in order for it to qualify.

I've been reading a lot of non-Lost books since, well, there aren't any left that I haven't already read. I'm hoping that 3x07 will give me at least one new one.

Joe, thanks for the explanation. I should have figured it had something to do with corporate greed. Good old Disney, right Ralph?

Mike Campbell said...

Aimee - Did you finish the Harry Potter books. Cause i would love to have some theory rants with you about the 7th book!

And i reach a new low :)

I've always wondered how much celebrities are paid for appearances such as that. Or is it included in their pay from the movie and they are just expected to do media? Does Leno pay better than Letterman? These are things I think about.

I read a post today by someone that knows her and said she just got back from Hawaii. So, there's hope for the rest of those loose ends that we thought would never be tied up.

Mike Campbell said...

Yeah the return of Cindy. Thats cool they put it in the Lost Moment. I heard ABC is cancelling Daybreak. Thats a bummer i kinda like it

Hey Joe...that's crazy man.
You probably won't believe me, but I work at ESPN too.
I'm off Mondays, so a friend of mine who was at work and who also saw Matthew Fox, texted me at home to let me know.
I'm a graphic designer up in the C.A.G.E. on the third floor of the DC. I probably know you from work, or have probably seen you around. What do you do at ESPN? That's f---ing crazy.

Also about the Matthew Fox visit to Bristol, I heard a bunch of ladies were waiting outside of the studios for the guys to come out. Did they do a SC commercial shoot while the two guys were there like they do with lots of the celebrities when they come to Bristol? I hope so, that would be cool. Too bad I missed them coming by.

Let me know...

Scottandsteve, bring people who are close together, closer. It's like You Got Mail!

It's Thursday today, but it feels like a week since i wrote 'fuck me, is it wednesday already'. That does not bode well for the rest of the year. It's been a weird year and i just want it to be over, so i can get on with the new year. It's been so long since anything good happened. Still, 55 days 10 hours and 10 minutes to go....

(the melancholy bit there was supposed to be a precursor to the fact i was pining after Lost, i'm not actually that depressed!)

What happened to the mobisodes that were supposed to fill the gap? Did they figure out that it was actually a shite idea after all?

aimee is lost said...

Mike, I read all of the Harry Potters for my own purposes (even though officially I only needed to read 1 & 3). I anxiously await the final installment's arrival next year. As far as theories are concerned, Snape and Dumbledore were in on it together; when Dumbledore found out that Snape made the idiotic unbreakable vow thingie to help Malfoy, Dumbledore decided to sacrifice himself, so Snape could still live.

I gave up on watching Day Break, and they finally have a Lost Moment worth seeing...bastards. I'll check out YouTube when I get home.

SadAce + Joe = awwwww.

I'm watching the Golden Globe nomination on E! right now...

They're talking about Lost and how they need to get some attention and stuff. Maybe Desmond & Henry Gale will save Lost's ass. We'll see...

aimee is lost said...

HOLY SHIT! Evangeline Lilly got a best actress nomination for a drama series!!!

aimee is lost said...

Heroes & Lost...best drama series!!

aimee is lost said...

aimee and ralph this is for both of you have of you read any of those short lost books? i think on the next podcast you should talk about and see how they might fit in to the lost poilt line. I think henry gale and julit are in it.

Mike Campbell said...

Aimee - was 24 nominated was Best Drama, cause last season was so amazing. I don't want every to hate me but i love that show too :)

GRADUATION TODAY!!!! If everyone would jump up and down for me at 12:30 pm est :)

aimee is lost said...

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I heard 24 get called in there several times.

I've read all of those mini-Lost books. (Secret Identity, Endangered Species, and Signs of Life). They were all pretty lame, but fun to read. Signs of Life was the more interesting and well written one. They followed the same format as the show - each chapter alternated between island scenes and flashback scenes, and would conveniently reference things from season 1 so we'd find it all more believable.

hey Joe...yup know all those people all right. Real name is Scott (using that on Scott and Steve might get confusing), I work day shifts at the opposite end of the C.A.G.E.
That's funny.
