I did it.

I got the Navy to send me to Japan (the country). Come autumn, I'll be settling into the cold Northern clime of Misawa Air Force Base. I'm so excited I could crap and vomit at the same time, but I'll refrain since that's what put me in the hospital last weekend.

Did you happened to run into any Road Rules cast members?

woah i don't know whether to feel happy or sad about the news, but let's hope you keep in touch and maybe you can swing over to manila when you're free. please leave more messages on the SAS line, the MYOKOM withdrawal gets too much sometimes. anyhoo, congratz navy diggy!

Hey congrats Dylan, you sound happy about it! I have some friends from the USMC that spent some time at Misawa; one of them's on my Myspace list. I think he liked it, but I'm not really sure, since the whole tour resulted in an Article 15 for him. Be careful!

You better get your ass to OKC for one last podcast before you leave - you owe the SaS that much!

Sweet. Japan is awesome. Congratulations!

Good Job, Dude! pity that you wont be able to do another podcast, but well done otherwise!

I was watching TV about an hour ago and guess what I saw??? AN APOLLO BAR COMMERCIAL! www.apollocandy.com they're distributing bars in certain towns come september.

Mike Campbell said...

The Silly IMDB has the second episode of the season titles as "Further Instructions" I hadn't heard that title thrown around the message boards so i thought i would toss it out.

aimee is lost said...

Anaheim isn't that far from Santa Monica - Ralph, you should go get one!

Mike Campbell said...

friends don't let friends read "A Tale of Two Cities"

DOn't do it aimee. Its not worth it. I tried to read it. I don't like to think about that time in my life...

aimee is lost said...

I don't have a choice Mike! If I chose not to read it, then I could never say I read the entire list.

Mike Campbell said...

Then i think we have to say good bye to aimee. It was fun. We will miss you. I hope you can survive it :)

aimee is lost said...

Oh, come on, it can't be that bad. Stop being a drama king.

Ichiban!

Well done Dylan. Quite the culture shock...I taught in Fukui Prefecture about 6 years ago. I hope it all works out for you and that the service actually lets you get out and look around!

Cheers,

I went to summer school once so my sister wouldn't feel bad (because she had to go), so I took Japanese lessons. All I remember is how to count to ten. Ichi, Ni, San, Shi, Go, Roku, Shichi, Nachi, Ku, Ju.

KABLAMO!

The Daily SHow's Ed Helms is joinging the cast of the American OFFICE for the third season of the NBC comedy.

Ralph- said...

I have been catching up on the Office during the summer. and i have to say, it is the only show on tv that i could watch the same episode twice in a row. i love the characters so much. i hope that ed helms is a cool caracter. do you know anything about what he might be? maybe a rival to michael scott, or a new temp that sucks up to michael more than dwight. I cannot wait. have you been watching the Office webisodes?

Mike Campbell said...

The Webepisodes have been really good too. I hope the Lost ones are just as good as those.

I have been watching a lot of Curb your Enthusiasm and Oscar Nunez who plays Oscar, one of the accountants, was on an Episode. A lot of good actors on curent shows went there.

Mike Campbell said...

Make sure you watch out for these guys.

I'm pretty sure I saw that same actor on an episode of Reno 911; he was some guy from the Dept of Homeland Security.

I think it would be awesome for Dwight to have a rival on the show, I wonder if that's what they have in mind for Helms.

Happy 8/15 everyone! hee hee hee.

In other news: My WoW server is restarting, which is the only reason I'm commenting again.

Did you just get a spam posting?

I finished reading the Odyssey finally; took me long enough too. Awesome story, and as romantic as the concept is, the whole idea of a wife waiting 20 years for her husband to return is about as far fetched as Lost is. Would Penelope really wait THAT long for Desmond?

Mike Campbell said...

i would say yes. In TV and Movies most of the time you can't stop love.

So lets give it up for love!

well, we will have to see. ben and i recorded someting last friday that was so bad, that i decided it would be easier for us to re record, than to edit it. we actually have a lot to talk about as of today, and we will let you all know the big news soon.

Ralph, you're such a tease!

Ralph- said...

Who has seen Little Miss Sunshine?

Mike Campbell said...

kevin smith gave thumbs up to Step up. he must have been paid off or something. i want to see little miss sunshine, but it hasn't reached my area yet.

The blue ribbon winner today for the Strangest Thing a Robber Says When He's Robbing You Award:

"Give me the cheese!"

I think that's the most bizarre thing I've read in an incident report since I started working here.

Mike Campbell said...

Little Miss Sunshine is opening tomorrow in a theater down the street. I can't wait!!!!

CONGRADS MAN!!!

Scott and Steve said...

Little Miss Sunshine is good, one of my favorites of the year so far.

aimee is lost said...

Sorry, I misquoted that robber; he actually said:

"Give me THAT cheese!" not "the"

Wow. For some reason that makes it sound even more bizarre.

Mike Campbell said...

Good Article Ralph. So the first season was about the fusies, the second the tailies and the third will be about the otheries?

aimee is lost said...

The Otheries. I like that one Mike.

Ralph- said...

where are the cockies?

aimee is lost said...

The last surviving cockie was killed by the monster.

Ralph- said...

i am pretty sure that there were some empty seats in the cockpit area. i dont remember each seat having a dead body. i have a feeling that the real "others" got a hold of the survivors under the cover of the jungle, and the "security system". i bet you anything, that there are survivors from the front end of the plane hanging out on the island, alive.

aimee is lost said...

Good point Ralph, that would be so freaking awesome too.

Season 4, baby - it's all about the cockies!!

aimee is lost said...

where is everybody?

Hi Dylan congrats on the Japan posting. Think you will enjoy Asia man. Take care and drop by Manila if you can.

Mike Campbell said...

Why is this blog getting spam now? Thats so lame.

Does anyone watch Prison Break? it returns tomorrow night. And Fall tv is apon us in no time.

aimee is lost said...

Word around the internetica campfire is we're getting a podcast soon!

Uncle Igmar said...

I want to be the 1st to say that I am glad that Seaman Speed is being assigned to Japan (the country) as opposed to the little known backwater of Japan (the county in Alabama).

Mike Campbell said...

Yeah i liked prison break too. I also thought one season would be enough. I have no idea what the crap they are going to do with this season.

I thought the first half of the season was a lot better then the second half. The Second Half kinda sucked.

Anyone excited for any new shows? I think Jerico looks kinda cool. I am also excited for Heros A friend founf the Pilot online and i am going to watch it later. Tell you how it is.

aimee is lost said...

I've had the tv in my office tuned into the USA network, and I actually watched the opening credits for Walker, Texas Ranger for the first time. I didn't know that Chuck Norris freaking sang his own theme song. This shit is funny.

Just came across this site after listening to Jay and Jack, saw someone named dylan is going to Misawa air base. I live by the Atsugi/Yokosuka area and I have to feed my Lost addiction through questionable means since they are only on season 2 episdoe 5 or so here. So for dylans sake he is lucky Misawa is nowhere near here otherwise Id be inviting myself over to shop at the base stores and watch Lost on base tv :D
