Jordan, I like "Hey Y'all". Ok, here's the premise- Thanks to the internet, I now have friends all over the world- South America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and even California and New York. Some I know well, some are more like acquaintances. Since I'm stuck here in Poorville, Alabama, I thought a podcast where I interview/converse with my internet friends about what it's like where they are would be interesting. It's kinda like that tv show where the girls go visit their myspace friends. But I'd still be stuck here in Nowwheretown. Now that you have that info, come up with a name for it. Please. This will probably get lost in the Lost discussion tonight since The Brig is sure to be All Killer, No Filler.
Denass, in response to your post from the previous thread, I think that's a decent theory. But I'm sure Ben would want more than one test case to prove Juliet's finished her research before letting her go.
"Greetings from Nowwheretown" or whatever pejorative for Alabama you want to use. :)
maybe you should record a few episodes first before deciding on a name? maybe something will come up that will work great.
congrats on your DELL, by the way. your husband sounds like a good guy if he's getting you a bright shiny new computer! i'm elbow deep in all sorts of DELLs at work, so i was wondering what model you're getting.
I foolishly posted this in the dead thread. --------------------------
Sounds like an interesting show Steph. I think that "Hey Y'all w/ Steph" just might be good for that type of show. Seeing as it's about friends and whatnot. Other ideas, hmmm.
I can honestly say that I have never stepped foot inside a Walmart. There are only a couple around here and they are out of the way. Been to Target a million times.
Palmer, DIM E520,Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 (1.86GHz,1066FSB) with 2MB cache, 2GB DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz, 19 in (19 in viewable) E197FPBFlat Panel Display, 160GB SATA II Hard Drive (7200RPM), Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium Edition, English Mouse included in Dell Wireless or Bluetooth 16X DVD-ROM and 16X DVD+/-RW Sounds good, right? Jordan, I don't get the Orlando Bloom reference but I do like the one about Walmart.
Damn, that Anthony Cooper was unrepentant to the end. Still a dick even sitting there thinking that he had died and gone to hell.
I was impressed that Sawyer killed Cooper ... glad to see that he's not been completely emasculated by Kate.
As for Locke ... I've given up on that fool. What a fucking idiot!!!! The whole time he's there with the Others, does he ask one fucking question? Like, "Where did he come from? What did he mean by that? Metaphor? What the hell does that mean? Why should I kill him, I'm no murderer!" And then he gets Sawyer to do his dirty work, and drags his body back to Ben like a little puppy dog. Someone needs to throw him out another window.
Of course, his idiocy is outshone by Kate's brilliant decision...
An Alabamian. Wow! Jasper. Funny that's the part that stands out the most to me. It's funny how Anthony Cooper just developed a southern accent all of a sudden.
Maybe Anothony was just pretending not to have a accent. He is a con man. Maybe he just though "I'm in Hell anyways, might as well stop the whole charade."
My husband can't understand how Locke can find hisself justified when he is a murderer just as if he killed AC by his own hand. I say it's just to show Locke is just as manipulative as Ben.
the whole episode i was waiting for someone to slit coopers throat and watch as the black smoke rolled out.
Also, did anyone notice all the bird and "island" noises. A lot of them sounded kinda like the smoke munster. Think they put all those in because people always think they hear the smoke munster, when we really don't. Or are they fucking with some more.
No, I think it's something to do with Jack being in on Juliet's plan. I'm really excited to see how he justifies lying to the camp, because (based on the preview) it's obvious he knows Juliet is a mole.
At the beginning of the promo when he says "It looks like we got some catching up to do," Jack seems like he's about to explain what the hell's going on.
If Jack does not explain WTF, again, I personally will be taking care of it because he is annoying me to no end. I have high expecations of you despite your coconut head. Live up to them.
And what was with the excessive eye shadow on Juliet? That's all Richard Alpert would give her to big out with?
it was an ok episode. kinda disapointed with the "they're all dead" stuff. THAT would be LAME! i know the producers said its not that, but what is all this shit about. they sure are beating us over the head with it. and now my head hurts.

I agree that the episode didn't really have the mind grabber I was expecting. So a jerk conman thinks he's in Hell. Guess what, we've all thought and unthought it was purgatory for almost 3 years. Catch up.
The episode leaves things very unsettled though. At this point it's very Every Man for Himself especialy for Dr. Live Together, Die Alone.
For any single woman who may be watching this show and reading this blog, please, please do not treat men like Kate does. It will not win you friends and influence people (as it seems Kate is finding out) much less help you find someone you can spend your life with.
1. Stop being a whore, and either be with Sawyer or not. 2. If someone says don't tell anyone this, YOU DON'T TELL ANYONE THIS. 3. ...I don't know, but STOP IT!
-i'd suggest that Locke needs a beatdown but if you hold out your fist he'll just walk right into it.
- they really handled the Sawyer v. Sawyer showdown well. Like the Claire Shepherd reveal, the diehard fans have been just waiting for confirmation and the writers have been doing a much better job of avoiding ambiguous writing lately. Sawyer definitely got some badass points back even if he spent most of the episode practicing his "hurt" look.
- Jack & Jill's secret. either they're going to tell Kate about the super sperm and the fact that she's got 2 months to live or Juliet told jack about the "magic box" and they have a plan to use the island's powers to get home.
- i don't know how many more times i can watch Hurley lie badly.
- Cindy.
-*next on lost spoilers* i'm so stoked on next episdoe. There's a little danger that they could spoil the mystique of Dharma, but it would take some seriously shitty writing to fuck up hippy doomsday scientists and the Lost team is showing they're far from shitty.
- Stephanie - i look forward to the podcast some names off the top of my head: Y'allcast Alabanana what time is it there? whirl wide Think Global Act Mobile Hello World, You're On the Line With Stephanie Smith
Well, I thought the episode rocked... I watch LOST every week at a screening in the East Village, and there were cheers galore when Sawyer killed Cooper. It was awesome... And I've been defending Jack all along, thinking he's gotta know Juliet's plan, so he friggin' better, dammit! And the Danielle scene? Awesome.
Ok...loved the episode. Now I want to know...where was this others campsite. Was it in the ruins of an old building or monument of some kind. The big pillar somewhat reminded me of ancient egypt (might make sence with the hieroglyphs on the swan station timer) or maybe from ancient grece. I'd like to see some nice screen caps of that pillar and the surrounding area.
I was just so put off watching this episode. I don't understand why Locke doesn't ask questions, and acts so high and mighty. Then again, it was only one viewing...
Glad you brought up Sawyer's acting--In the middle of the episode, I was worried about it getting cheesy, (when he held the knife up to Locke's neck), but in the brig with A-Coop--wow, I jumped!
I fall between you guys in that, I really liked it, but it pissed me off emotionally.
I liked that it was VERy deft in moving a couple of stories along while keeping a pace that made you feel like something was continually about to happen (one could say the entire show is like that - but I thoguht this episode did it better).
I liked this ep. I dunno about best ever. But it was pretty cool. Crazy would be a better word. A very crazy episode. All the Locke/Sawyer jungle scenes were crazy cuz you knew what it was all leading up to. I'm still not sure what Locke's overall motiv is though. What is he trying to prove to the others? On one hand he totally seems to want to go along with the others, but that whole tipping off their plans to Sawyer said otherwise. Jack has got to be in on Jules' triple-cross. Be we really think Alpert was really undermining Ben, or did that have to be a planned move by the others? I can't remember too much right now cuz I'm dead tired, but there was a bunch more wtf moments in this ep. I'll remember more tomorrow. Kudos to Sawyer for not pussing out and doing the job. If it ends up being purgatory, I'm recanting everthing good I've ever said about the show.
the whole thing feels like it is ramping up to shit giong down. The storming of the Camp, Danielle setting up some Dynamite, Sawyer's life is complete which means he will posibly be killed, kate not trusting jack along with the A-Team, which i dont blame them.
The plane found in a trench effected both storylines, John Locke infiltrating the others...Locke is Not a murderer, and after reading sawyers file, why wouldnt he help sawyer get what he wanted. John got what he wanted, he could walk again. now sawyer has finally avenged his parents death.
The Abraham story's similarity with Ben asking Locke for a sacrifice (is Ben God?)
The tape recorder that locke gave Sawyer was awesome.
COOPER WAS SAWYER, we all guessed it, Now it is Fact, and boy was it awesome when Cooper read the Letter. that is something we wanted to see since early season 1.
All of the info that Naomi gave was great. Sayid asked questions and Locke asked questions so did sawyer.
I am not saying your opinion is wrong, i just feel like this episode hit me the right way.
it was a really well written episode I thought, and I thought it delivered one of the most emotionally charged scenes of the series so far (i.e. Sawyer confronting and killing Cooper). Josh Holloway obviously wins the episode.
That said (here comes the rant) - I have to echo trevor's and Kim's frustrations on an emotional level - I won't repeat everything - but to Kate, Locke, Jack, and Ben I say WHAT...THE...FUCK!!!
Who ate their Dharma moron flakes this morning - that would be Kate!
Calling John Locke - that slab of concrete in Talahassee wants your spine back!
Knock knock - who's there? Jack. Jack who? Jack I-left-my-ballsack-back-on-Alcatraz-island, you got any brains I could borrow?
and Ben.....just... -BANG- (shoots him with the gun Locke had pointing at him before he decided to blow up the sub instead)
Ahhh...I feel better now I can think about the episode :)
Ralph - I commend you for being spoiler-free, but I will say that even knowing the spoilers I did - this episode still elicited multiple WHAT-THE-FUCK moments.
RE: Locke's motive. I think he just wants Ben to show him the "heart" of the island (the box, jacob, whatever...) and like Juliet is of a one track mind now. He is finding a way to make that happen, and I agree with Ralph that he thought he could help Sawyer along the way. And I agree with Locke that Coop "had it coming".
MB--I was extremely frustrated watching this episode. We did get answers, but there were more "WTF" moments, than "Ohhhh, OK, I get it" moments.
Is this my Catch-22? I am confused so I watch the episode to get answers--but by watching the episode I'm more confused than when I started therefore needing more answers. (I think that's more ironic, than a Catch-22)
Danielle, omg, that was so random. I wonder if she and John are forming some sort of alliance.
Is Sawyer going to die because he fulfilled his life-long mission?
Why did Kate tell Jack about Naomi? She's always running to him--but sleeping with Sawyer
RE: Rousseau. I fucking LOVED that scene. Two slightly wack people, each in the middle of doing their own covert wack thing, come upon each other - no words really need be spoken. It was almost completely comedic - so oddball.
I don't know about her completely being an other - I guess its totally possible - I just see her also as being out for herself. I have a hard time imagining her functioning well in a communal situation like the others - I'm guessing somethings going to blow up soon and that will tell us.
LMAO at ur catch-22 Kim! THAT'S THE PAAAAIIIN OF THIS SHOW I TELL YOU! Everything's like a long con with these people I guess - takes awhile.
I think Kate simply still wants to trust Jack. We'll see what happens when Sawyer gets back w/the tape. Jacks gotta start spewing some info from that coconut on his shoulders
Also forgot: I am so curious now to know the progression of Penny's investigation. What prodded her to hire the arctic duo and Naomi. What did she find out that made her perservere in looking for something that is not on any map. Did she have some idea of where Desmond was when he disappeared? Was she privy to some info through her father and Widmore? (sigh) We probably won't find out for at least 3 seasons, but I can't help wondering.
OK - I'm pathetic - I couldn't fall asleep b/c I had to post this (i've reached a new level - yikes) -
So, what does the fact that Cooper got run off the road mean in terms of "the box"? Does that mean he was just brought there via sub or whatever and Ben was lying (shocker) about him coming to the island via "the box"? Sounds like a Mittelos job a-la the Dr. Burke hit (but presumably without the intent to kill). But I suppose it's possible they took him somewhere to be transported. I don't know - now its just the fatigue talking.
I just can't comprehend any true fan of LOST now absolutely LOVING this episode!!! That confrontation was what we'd been waiting THREE YEARS for, and they could not have made it more climactic, emotional, and satisfying. Sawyer grunting "DO YOU WANT TO GO TO HELL?!?!?" whilst absolutely scqueezing every last fucking breath out of that sonofabitch will go down as one of the best LOST moments in the entire series.
And John Locke! He's back to being the enigmatic character we all grew to love ... I loved how he went off into the jungle at the end: alone, and with his theme (Hello - Jimmy? It'd best be making an appearance on the Dharmalars!) underscoring that moment. Another classic LOST scene.
This was one of the best episodes of the season and the series. I'm absolutely baffled you didn't enjoy it!
So the company Naomi works for, will it turn out to be Paik or Hanso? I guess it's not Widmore from the way she said it.
Didn't Naomi say the plane was found near Bali? As in Bali, Indonesia? Bali Indonesia is North of Perth, i.e. Western Australia, 3000 miles West of Sydney, not East, like Los Angeles. The pilot of 815 and Desmond both believe they are East of Fiji. WTF? Why would the world believe a plane heading East from Austalia over the Pacific would crash north of Western Australia?
Ralph's got it right about the episode. Very enjoyable.
But I did spend a lot of time yelling at the characters because of their annoyingness.
As for Jack, the dude's plotting something with Juliet so maybe we can excuse his annoyingness? And Locke is the man. I can't blame him for not being able to put down his own father. Now, it's off to the Others to be disappointed in the results of killing his dad. :)
Hey Y'all - i so want to be on that podcast! As long as it has an explicit tag!
Thoughts on this epicsode (sic): When Ben said to Locke "you're not ready to know that right now" near the beginning, i was thinking 'for fucks sake, get on with it!' But by the end, i was thinking 'for fucks sake - that's mental!'
I desperately want to know what Russo is going to do with the dynamite, there was such an air of nonchalence about that scene, i really hope it's not going to be used for something trivial.
I also really want to know what's up with Jack and Juliet - Locke told Sawyer about Juliet, but didn't say Jack was involved, but how the fuck did he know about Juliet?
Questions, questions, questions.
P.S. i normally have to wait till Friday to look at the episode discussion thread, but i've watched it at work during my lunch today - how pleased am i that i didn't wait?!
Don't you think that this is all Ben's plan...he convieniently let Locke hear the tape recorder as he approached his tent. He then tells him Juliet is on a mission for him. Then with Richard feeding him info to get him to go get Sawyer...they are putting it all together for him to tip off everyone about Juliets intensions and that they will be coming. They want Locke to tell. Locke is falling back into his role in life again...being used again. Locke thinks he's walking his own path now, but he's not...he's being manipulated again. Ben is the master manipulator.
Jack is annoying the stew out of me. If Juliet is working to double-cross Ben why wouldn't they reveal that to the rest of the camp? Seriously.
I want to believe that the Jack back on the beach is Jack's bad twin, not Jack, but there are too many problems with that idea. All roads lead back to Jack either being stupid or an asshole or both.
Sadace, we certainly haven't seen anything happen that hasn't really been what Ben wanted at least when it comes to Locke. The one place he seemed surprised was Jack's kidney sac play, but then he amazingly regains consciousness. I guess Ben was actually in control and playing everyone then too.
I've heard it mentioned somewhere, maybe on here...that maybe Ben can see the future and has some abilities like Desmond, but maybe more developed. That's how he can play everyone to get what he wants...he knows the buttons to push or not to push to get things to happen.
jack is stubborn as a mule. we know that. jack is willing to "take the weight of the world on his shoulders" too. and he does so in an annoying manner somewhere between "look at me! i'm a martyr!" and "leave me alone! i'm sacrificing myself!" which explains why he's acting the way that he is.
he's stubbornly trying to put the burden only on himself and is stubbornly trying to shut out anyone who'd try to help. which means that he's trying to do the right thing (jack from jay and jack would love that part) but is doing so in an annoying manner.
so, i'm able to sort of excuse his behavior cuz i'm pretty sure that it's coming from a desire to help others. err... help Lostaways. :)
and Holli, i've never heard "annoying the stew out of me" before but it's pretty hilarious.
Palmer, that would be a quaint expression those of us raised in the Heart of Dixie would know. It could be a segment on Steph's podcast -- "And now it's time for Things That Annoy the Stew Out of Me" with bubbling cauldron noise behind it.
So I guess Palmer, that Jack is being "lonely, and frightened and angry" as the Thai skank declared. That I could accept if he wasn't trusting Juliet.
Kate, bless her heart (another Southern thing), was right in calling Jack out on the you're trusting her but not the people you lived with for 80 days who'd follow you anywhere like Hurley. Getting Hurley not to trust you is pretty bad. Almost like kicking a dog.
Jellyman, I would add the explicit tag just for you. We could talk about cats and footy. Am I using the word in the correct context, Elias?
I was thinking the finale would be a huge conflict when the Others came to take the pregnant survivors. Then again, if Ben wanted Locke to tell about the plan, is there really such a plan? I was thinking it was established early on that Sawyer was from Knoxville, Tenn. Sawyer's mom in Jasper had $38,000. This isn't very realistic. Nobody in Jasper has that much money. She must have won a lawsuit or something. Holli, you've driven thru, haven't you? It's a sad place. Cooper says, "If you change your mind, John, I'll be here the rest of the week." Was he just trying to be a smartass, or what? The wording bothers me. How does he know how long he'll be there? And of course he thinks he's in hell. I'd be thinking that too if I were bound and gagged for days on end. Anybody tried that new Berries and Cream Dr Pepper? It's the bomb.
and i really hope that Bai Ling is never on LOST again. unless Jack gets to find a chain and pull a Sawyer maneuver. which sort of sounds like kinky tent happenings with Kate but is actually a reference to the demise of Anthony Cooper.
Steph, Sawyer's envelope had a Knoxville World's Fair stamp or postmark on it. It could either be that the post office everywhere or everywhere in the South sold those as a promotion or that Sawyer got sent to Knoxville to live with relatives after his parents died.
Yes, $38K is a lot for Jasper. Was it hidden under the steps of the double wide? Of course in those days Jasper wasn't quite the Birmingham adjacent it is now. It was more of its own place with people who ran pre-Wal-Mart stores, gas stations, local banks, etc. $38K isn't that out of the realm.
do you think a little "island gang justice" is going to happen and Juliet is going to get strung up when Sawyer comes back and shows them the taperecorder and outs her as a mole.
so, did the dynamite come from somewhere other than the Black Rock and just get stored there? dynamite was invented in 1867... after slavery was abolished in most of the English speaking world. unless some slavery lovin' jerk just bought an English labeled boat.
patented in 1867, invented in 1866. TNT was invented in 1863, but the explosives in the Black Rock drip nitroglycerin so they're dynamite and not TNT. right?
I gotta say that my favorite moment in the show was when Sawyer busts out his letter. The look on his face combined with knowing that he has been waiting for that for so long was just awesome.
So when Juliet asked Jack if it was time to tell Kate, was that regarding whatever their secret plan is, or was it something about Kate likely being preggers?
i think Kate knows that unprotected sex leads to pregancy. and i imagine that Kate knows that getting pregnant is a death sentence on the island. didn't Juliet tell her a few episodes ago? and then again when Sun was confronting Juliet and Kate was right next to them? so, i'm not sure why Kate keeps boinking Sawyer. i guess she just likes doing the hibbity dibbity with Sawyer. schlong worth dying for.
Palmer, about the dynamite. From the Lost Experience we learned: The slave trade had been outlawed in 1807, indicating the New World Sea Traders operated in the black market. and The Black Rock disappeared in 1881, on a return voyage from a gold mining operation in the South Indian Ocean. You can read more about it here.
I know that I'm in the minority, but I thought that the Sawyer/Cooper showdown was a huge letdown. I thought that the acting was great, but I just didn't get much of a feel that Sawyer was really conflicted about whether or not to kill Coop. Basically, Cooper was so mean and evil that all he had to do was push Sawyer's buttons, Sawyer flipped out, and killed him. I guess that I just was hoping the it would have been more of a cold-blooded, revenge killing (like when he killed the shrimp guy). I felt like it really could have been any mean evil guy sitting there pushing the buttons. Maybe I'm looking for too much, but it was something that was really built up from the beginning of season 1 ... I just expected more. And it looks like next week, we're right back into island mystery mode ... I hope that there's some consequences for Sawyer's decision, and that it's not forgotten about.
i cant discuss this episode any more. all of you bing up a million points that i just want to dscuss, but i dont have the patience to write that much any more.
I promice that i will get all of my thoughts out in the open on tomorrows show. i really really liked this episode and you will see my excitement tomorrow night.
MB Wrote "Almost forgot - RE: Ralph's Lionel Richie reference - That's what she said ;)"
i dont remember that reference, but i would be the one to make a lionel ichie remark.
Trevor, I think that was the point with the Sawyer scene. There wasn't supposed to be any conflicting feelings. He has always wanted to kill the man who did that to him. He's already killed one man mistakenly. Not much conflicting reasons not too off ACoop. Sawyer's main deal was afterward, dealing with the fact that he finally did it. That this thing that he's been clutching to for so long and that has made him who he is today, is over.
Sawyer, Charlie and Sayid being the moral compass of the LOSTies. How far we've come.
It's not Sawyer's lack of shoulders that bother's me so much as his pointy nose that always seems ready to have sweat dripping off it. It makes me think of this.
The real Commodores with Lionel Richie. They lived an hour away in Tuskegee, AL at the time. And REM performed in the pub at my college when my husband was there and no one went.
You may be right; although, he had all sorts of conflicted feelings when he killed Shrimp Guy in season one. And now, he seems to be in a little bit of a better place emotionally (not just because he's banging Kate, but they've not given any indication in awhile that he's still obsessed with finding Original Recipe Sawyer). You would think that he should be conflicted ... after all, he's been wrong before, and an innocent person died. I'll be honest, I'm not quite sure what I expected, but I felt letdown afterwards. Maybe it's because Coop was SO mean, SO evil, that it really wasn't much of a decision at all. They could have put Charlie in there with him, or Sayid, and the outcome would probably have still been the same. I know that I'm in the minority here, and I did like the episode ... I just was expecting more.
Yeah, Cooper was straight up a scum bucket in this episode. That played a big role in Sawyer having zero issues with killing the dude. Not only did Cooper rip on Locke, he admitted to conning Sawyer's mom, gloated about it, showed no remorse, and then insulted Sawyer by putting the blame on his dad. I think Claire would have strangled the dude.
Even though I pretty much live “spoiler-free” I had already figured out that Anthony Cooper was the real Sawyer and it seemed so obvious that Locke was lying and it would really be AC rather than Ben that he was holding prisoner.
I loved the scene with Danielle and Locke in the ship while he sharpened his knife and nonchalantly talked to Danielle about the dynamite while Sawyer was screaming in the background. It reminded me of S1-Locke who remained calm in the face of danger, especially when he told Sawyer “if you had any bullets, you wouldn’t have put a knife to my throat”
I think the scene in the ship may be a clue that Danielle is really an Other but personally, I think she’s going to turn out to be Jacob (based on other clues).
Unlike a lot of the other posters, I kind of liked the way Locke got Sawyer to do his dirty work. It reminded me again of S1-Locke and how he played Boone, Sayid, Jack, etc. by letting them do what they wanted in order to accomplish what he wanted. Hurley isn’t the only puppet-master on the island. One thought though – is Locke really going to be out from under his father’s shadow if he couldn’t kill him himself but needed to get someone else to do it? It seems to me that if that if this was supposed to be part of Locke’s “journey” he may have cheated – which is the very thing he accused Ben and the Others of doing. In which case – could we see Locke lose the use of his legs again OR is it going to turn out that Lock really didn’t need to kill his father and Richard was telling the truth that this was just Ben manipulating Locke?
I think that Jack and Juliet’s “secret” is that Juliet told Jack she’s supposed to be working for Ben but they’re planning a trap for him. The reason they’re keeping it secret is they’re not sure who they can trust and there may be a mole among the Lostaways. When Sawyer and the A-Team confront Jack next week, they’re going to find out about this and put together a plan for dealing with BO (Ben’s Others).
i'm not seeing the Danielle + Dynamite = She's an Other thing.
I think crazy woman plus dynamite equals Island Hijinks. she's going to use that dynamite in an attempt to punish the Others. maybe blow up OtherTown while they're gone. maybe use it for traps. heck, she's so batshit insane, she might try eating the dynamite.
I don' see that Dannielle + dynomite = other It just may be some random thing like this was the only episode Mira Furlan was available. The spoilers said there was supposed to be a huge twist and a death. No twist. I just wonder if the network urges Lindeluse to dumb it down for the casual viewers. I don't expect Charlie, Des, Sayid and all to believe Jack when he tries to defend Juliet and explain her double-double cross.
This episode was a 10. Not a music montage, warm fuzzies episode - definitely a dark season 3 shocker.
I didnt feel sorry for Cooper and I don't think we were supposed to. The resolution of Locke and Sawyer's past troubles was satisfying, albeit disturbing.
The meat of the episode was Locke's journey on the island and he remains enigmatic, individual and my favourite character. I'm even more invested emotionally in his journey.
I hated Kate for not being able to keep a secret from Jack, but I'm calm now and I guess she still wants Jack's approval/ love/ whatever. I won't repeat the obscenities I shouted at the TV.
We did get answers this week - first off Ben is in a precarious place with his people and he both needs Locke and needs to control him.
The TPTB confirmed the healing powers of the island and that there exists another faction which includes Richard and used to include Juliet. They also confirmed that Jack has a plan with Juliet but they haven't made clear what that is.
I'm still buzzing from watching and can't wait to see it again.
Steph - great idea to do your own podcast but I wouldn't want to bore anybody with footy banter :) strictly interesting ramble chat.
Just watched the episode, and I must say I enjoyed it. Jack was a tad bit annoying, but surely we'll hear his reasoning in one of the next episode and we - or at least the losties - will go "aaah! ok, you're ok! we trust ya."
Likes * coops tears up the letter. rough! * sawyer kills coop scene * sayid fixes radio * they're all dead (interesting. explanation?) * Rousseau needs some dynomite. * jack and jules have a secret! Don't think it's kate's pregnancy. It'd be offtopic to bring that up in that context. Guess: a way to get off the island, or "the other one" Naomi mentioned. * made me wonna hybernate till next wednesday ^__^
Dislikes * they're all dead (fuck purgatory) * kate * locke not killing coop on the ancient pole. I expected a slash to the neck or stab to the heart seconds after coop started taunting him. * too short! :D * (semi)reveal of jules/jack's secret would be a cooler cliffhanger
The finale might be a big ass fight/war with Rousseau's dynamite and stuff, as the Other's try to kidnap the preggies.
Normally I'm spoilerfree, but I'm gonna download "next on lost" now and see what's comming next week. I can't wait!
Kirklain - you asked the same question I am wondering about - how DID Cooper get to the island?
Thorley - RE: Locke - What i'm thinking is that, while it seems spineless and crap-ass (and Ben-esque) to have Sawyer do his dirty work, I think he doesn't buy Ben's wack-ass speech that "you must kill your father John". He wants to see what's up with the island and knows Ben is the only one who can show him - so he's giving Ben what he thinks he wants, and I imagine will try and demand that Ben show him the goods.
Also, I agree with Palmer and Steph that whatever Danielle's gonna blow up is motivated by getting to Alex - don't know what she's going to do after that...I mean, as much as Alex dislikes Ben right now, it may be a tough sell to get Alex to leave the others and go off into the jungle with her.
wesh - next on lost is all I allow myself. It is a real tease this week.
The purgatory/ hell stuff is just a joke by Cuseloff. They've said it isn't that so many times it's hilarious that fans still persist. Just because Cooper thinks he's in hell means it's even more likely not to be that. The island exists on earth as Penny does - that is our proof.
I like Palmer's idea that Danielle is planning to eat the dynamite. Wouldn't want to be nearby when it comes out the other end.
Kate's behavior last night reminded me of a bratty teenager who just got dumped by her bf for another girl. "Well ... nobody likes you anyway!" Why the heck didn't she tell Coconut Head to fuck off when he insisted that Juliet? And what a prick he is ... for all he knew, maybe she wanted to ask him why she's been feeling not so fresh since she started banging Sawyer.
MB - they have to provide exposition in every episode and this was one example. Cuseloff said that there are no more than 2 factions of Others.
Ben would rather not be replaced by Locke or have his people worship Locke so he'd rather Locke stay on the other side of the island.
I'm tempted to see shadows, bluffs and cons in everything on the show but some things have been simple and some things will be simple. I'm just tending towards this being a piece of exposition - if Richard is not in the other faction then he is telling the truth that it does exist and he isn't part of it.
Who is the real Sawyer? Where did the helicopter take off from? What happens in a week (island time)? How did Locke hurt his hand? Why is Lock leaving with the Others (from Left Behind)? Where have the Others gone?
All were answered categorically this week. Of course this episode posed more questions but that's Lost.
Thorley Winston, Good point about Locke leading Sawyer on his journey like he did with Jack chasing his white rabbit and Boone and the wacky-paste. It seemed to me too that it's cheating to get Sawyer to do what you're supposed to do.
I think I agree with you elias. It does make sense with the way they have set the "faction" idea up this season. They are probably bringing it back up because it will most likely be a factor in the final episodes (NOT based on any spoilers).
Holli - but what if Locke just doesn't buy Ben's whole 'you have to kill your father' thing? I'm not sure Locke cares too much about Ben's approval EXCEPT insofar as it gets Ben to show him the 'box' or Jacob or whatever.
MB, it's still cheating. I get that A Coop's existence was emotionally "crippling" Locke, but why is he on the Island? Locke wasn't being emotionally crippled by his dad when A Coop wasn't on the Island? Aaarrrghhh. Brain starting to melt. Probably need to take a break.
As for my previous question, I'd rather tote logs, but I'd also rather have a shower, so someone grab the other end of that #$@# bookcase.
Log carrying guy - I can't imagine anything about the others making me think "Yeah, I'll hang with you all. I mean you all seem so normal and un-creepy. I totally trust you."
I'm not as crazy for it as Ralph was, and fall more in the Kimberly camp. I might need to see it again.. There were some great moments though....
There is nothing I can say that hasn't been covered really. Lets just say, I wasn't as grabbed by it as many were.
Also, is it me, or am I the only one who thought the Josh Holloway acting was overdone and not as good as everyone is raving? Listening to other podcasts coming out and other fan reaction you would think there was Oscar talk! I think there is a bit too much fan hyperbole there.
And a lot of Kate hate this week too, it seems. I must have missed something there too?
I was intrigued by Sayid's comment that the sat phone was more advanced than he'd seen. It fits in with my crackpot theory that time runs faster off the island. My thinking is that the outside world has kept pace with us viewers and that it's 2007.
Holli - I agree with you, and I think Locke is thinking that too, that Cooper DOESN'T really matter to him - he just wants to see the box/jacob (BTW I'm not implying that the box & Jacob are the same thing), and thinks that bringing Ben the dead body will get him to give up the goods. After the freak-ass public slaying that he didn't go through with at the ancient collumn (Which was another WTF!?! moment for me - it reminded me of a cult ritual or something - with CHILDREN there - yeesh), I think Locke was conflicted about what the right thing to do was - if he kills his father, he might get to see what the island is about but he'd be a murderer (in his mind - in my mind I'm with Sawyer - 'you want to go to Hell buddy? Bon-fuckin-voyage). If he doesn't kill his Father, he's stays innocent (in his mind at least), but he doesn't get to see the 'heart' of the island. Then Eyeliner Alpert comes forward with the 411 on Sawyer, and Locke sees an opportunity for the 2 of them to get what they want.
I agree with what Aimee was saying in one of the recent podcasts, that if you want to figure the reasoning behind any of these characters' actions - just think of what their primary goal is, and Locke's is to see the secrets of the island.
Jimmy - I hear you on the acting, it was over the top, but I bought into it - Holloway plays Sawyer like that generally. And I did think that the shots with his reactions while Cooper was spewing all the vile crap to try and goad Sawyer (to which I kept saying to the TV - 'you are being unwise you smug fuck') were excellent. I thought he displayed a lot more subtlety than I'm used to getting from him.
But I was pretty emotionally charged about the whole scene, so that probably colored my perception.
Tall Guy - great pull on Sayids comment about the phone - that could definitely be a clue.
Citing Aimee MB. Wow! Case closed. I think you're right.
I wonder if Locke even knows about Jacob at this point. I guess Kate and Sawyer could have seen his name on the room 23 screen, but if I saw that I'd assume it was merely the Biblical Jacob being referenced. Patchy and Henry Gale made the "great man" speeches but didn't use Jacob's name. Now that Locke has "committed" maybe he and we will learn more.
Tall Guy - I like your theory. It's been put out there before but that Sayid line was another clue.
Holli - that is the question I want Naomi to be asked but in true Lost style it probably wont be until next season.
I've calmed down from my Kate hate because the writers used her to push the story faster and reveal the whole Jack thing. She was a pawn in the writer's plan and I'm sure that's why they kept her Jack love simmering for a while.
I didn't miss the off-island FBs at all and this is still a classic, no matter that I don't agree with or sympathise with some characters. Just because I hate Ben more now doesn't mean I don't love to hate him more.
Also Michael Emerson deserves any acting prizes that come along but Josh Holloway was still convincing in this episode.
I wanted to remind everyone that The Office starts and ends at different times tonight, so adjust your recording devices accordingly. I don't want to see a discussion thread full of "dang I missed it," and "how did it end?" tomorrow. The Great and Powerful Mom has spoken.
ralph im with you pal one of the best episodes in a long time (even though all of recent episodes have easily easily eclipsed most of season 2 and the begining of season 3.
Elias, i know it's got SciFi elements but the "they're all dead" theory has been around for so long and is just so obvious that it either better not be the answer or should have been answered a long time ago.
i like the idea of Ben just being uber-smart and uber-manipulative. if he's going all Desmond on us, i feel like it cheapens his character a bit. it'd be a disappointment to me if Our Favorite Ben were to be leaning on a psychic crutch instead of just manipulating everyone through sheer wit.
and the time on-Island flowing differently than off-Island theory... well, i don't know why i don't like it. but i'm just hoping that it's not the case. hey... is Desmond's three years on the Island being equal to three years since Jack saw him last a good way to debunk the time theory? the time theory is a really good way to get Walt back in to the show though.
i think i'm just a LOST theory party pooper today. after all, i subscribe to the "Just a Crazy French Chick" theory. :)
Holli, oh Great Motherly One, what time IS the Office on tonight?
I think that Sun's baby is going be born and will have a highlander, their can be only one, standoff with aaron at the end of the series. sun's baby will be evil and aaron good. and depending on who wins the ultimate battle, the 815ers fates will be determined. If Sun's baby wins, everybody is stuck on the island forever. If aaron wins, Penny will be able to find the island and rescue everyone. Thoughts?
Speaking of The Office, a friend of a forum friend of mine will be a guest star or more like an extra. She'll play an employee of Victoria Secret where Michael takes the ladies for a female appreciation day. Has this been mentioned? Ben implies he is healing faster now that Locke is around. He wants John to believe he's special but doesn't want his people to see it? Ben feels threatened by Locke? Ben announces to the people that Locke may not be who they are waiting for. Is this how you guys see it? I'm still wondering if Lindeluse have been to Jasper, Alabama or if they threw a dart at a map. I'm thinking the latter.

powers out where I am right now (Texas), better be up in time for Lost.
Do you think this parachute chick will actually stand up this episode, and talk in english more?
Kablamo! for being the first of the numbers
Adam,
I totally think Naomi will go bipedal for us tonight, and absolutely we should get to hear some more of her English.
But will she recognize any of the Losties is what I'm wondering...

Has anyone heared about a character dying in this episode?
Jordan, I like "Hey Y'all".
Ok, here's the premise-
Thanks to the internet, I now have friends all over the world- South America, Europe, Australia, Africa, and even California and New York.
"Hey, Y'All" is pretty terrific. Maybe "Hey, Y'All with Steph Smith" for a full title.
other ideas? hmmm... goofy names or serious ones?
Go Phil!
Who is this guy performing on AI?
I have a problem with these ridiculously wealthy celebrities asking for my hard-earned dimes.
I don't know, palmer. Give me everything you got.
I can hear the intro music now- some bluegrass-sounding stuff turns into something rockin'.

Jordan, I don't get the Orlando Bloom reference but I do like the one about Walmart.

Jasper, Alabama?!?!?!?!
Screaming at my tv, TELL HER WHAT???!?!!
Of course, his idiocy is outshone by Kate's brilliant decision...
he's an Alabamanian. an Alabamanan. an Alabamaniac. an Alabamanite. or something.
very cool episode. Locke's the man. and Sawyer did something cool (besides Kate).
steph, i'm a tad jealous of the new computer. :)
An Alabamian. Wow! Jasper. Funny that's the part that stands out the most to me.
It's funny how Anthony Cooper just developed a southern accent all of a sudden.
How freakin' hard do I want to slap the hell out of Jack and Juliet, but especially stick-up-my-ass Jack.
Holli
but how the heck did he get there? Alpert grab him?
this "they're in hell" crap pisses me off. meh!
Maybe Anothony was just pretending not to have a accent. He is a con man. Maybe he just though "I'm in Hell anyways, might as well stop the whole charade."
Best scene in the episode, imo: Naomi putting Sayid in his place. It was good to see Sayid getting some very welcome screen time.
My husband can't understand how Locke can find hisself justified when he is a murderer just as if he killed AC by his own hand. I say it's just to show Locke is just as manipulative as Ben.
One more thing...
WTF is Danielle up to????
Spelled Anthony wrong. So, what is Jack's secret? Bets?
I see what you're saying, Colin.
Do you think Jack and Juliet were referring to the fact that Kate could be preggers?
the whole episode i was waiting for someone to slit coopers throat and watch as the black smoke rolled out.
Also, did anyone notice all the bird and "island" noises. A lot of them sounded kinda like the smoke munster. Think they put all those in because people always think they hear the smoke munster, when we really don't. Or are they fucking with some more.
Yeah, that short scene with Danielle was bizzare.
No, I think it's something to do with Jack being in on Juliet's plan. I'm really excited to see how he justifies lying to the camp, because (based on the preview) it's obvious he knows Juliet is a mole.
juliet is a double mole. or something. a vole perhaps?
I really want to see how Jack's involved.
At the beginning of the promo when he says "It looks like we got some catching up to do," Jack seems like he's about to explain what the hell's going on.
Yeah, Mike, I kept thinking I was hearing the Monster. It was the crickets or cadidids however you spell it.

THAT would be LAME! i know the producers said its not that, but what is all this shit about. they sure are beating us over the head with it. and now my head hurts.

don't know why that posted twice. oh well.

Every week I'm hating Kate more and more.

- SadAce
I was not a fan of this episode.
Kate needs to be locked up in a cage, blindfolded, and hog-tied.
Jack needs to have his balls reattached.
Locke needs to do his own dirty work.
Ben needs to stop thinking his "Jesus" of JizzIsland.
Juliet needs to grow a backbone.
Everyone needs to act more like Sun and demand some f-ing answers.
~K
PS> Sawyer was awesome tonight--90% of the time.
Kimberley, i felt the opposite.
I will go on record as to saying this was my favorite episode of LOST, ever.
So many answers, so many questions, so many intense scenes.
All of our suspicions put to rest.
The sense of foreboding.
Great Writing. Josh Halloway pulled out some Acting Chops toward the end.
WOW!
Seriously Ralph?
I was just so put off watching this episode. I don't understand why Locke doesn't ask questions, and acts so high and mighty. Then again, it was only one viewing...
Glad you brought up Sawyer's acting--In the middle of the episode, I was worried about it getting cheesy, (when he held the knife up to Locke's neck), but in the brig with A-Coop--wow, I jumped!
wow - kim and ralph on - I'm not used to this.
I fall between you guys in that, I really liked it, but it pissed me off emotionally.
I liked that it was VERy deft in moving a couple of stories along while keeping a pace that made you feel like something was continually about to happen (one could say the entire show is like that - but I thoguht this episode did it better).
Hang on - be back
Why Kim why?
I am not saying your opinion is wrong, i just feel like this episode hit me the right way.
good stuff
like the fact that lost is a puzzle, and enjoy when you can sit there and try to figure it out as it goes along.
what can i say, i am easy like Sunday Morning!
Oh, sorry for the multiple posts, but i do have to say that the Spoiler-Free lifestyle is the way to go.
Nah, I don't care if you think I'm wrong! Debate is good for the mind...and the blogspot. lol!
I guess I'm simply too impatient--I want answers now! (but it keeps me watching, so I guess Cuseloff wins in the end regardless)
it was a really well written episode I thought, and I thought it delivered one of the most emotionally charged scenes of the series so far (i.e.
Jack. Jack who? Jack I-left-my-ballsack-back-on-Alcatraz-island,
you got any brains I could borrow?
and Ben.....just... -BANG- (shoots him with the gun Locke had pointing at him before he decided to blow up the sub instead)
Ahhh...I feel better
now I can think about the episode :)
rousseau is an other, tonight mde it clear for me.
My head hurts.
Almost forgot - RE: Ralph's Lionel Richie reference - That's what she said ;)
Also forgot:
I am so curious now to know the progression of Penny's investigation.
Kim,
I just can't comprehend any true fan of LOST now absolutely LOVING this episode!!!
-J
now=not in my above post. I was so excited after seeing the episode that i typed all squiggly squiggly
-J
So the company Naomi works for, will it turn out to be Paik or Hanso? I guess it's not Widmore from the way she said it.
Didn't Naomi say the plane was found near Bali? As in Bali, Indonesia? Bali Indonesia is North of Perth, i.e. Western Australia, 3000 miles West of Sydney, not East, like Los Angeles. The pilot of 815 and Desmond both believe they are East of Fiji. WTF? Why would the world believe a plane heading East from Austalia over the Pacific would crash north of Western Australia?
Holli
Ralph's got it right about the episode. Very enjoyable.
But I did spend a lot of time yelling at the characters because of their annoyingness.
As for Jack, the dude's plotting something with Juliet so maybe we can excuse his annoyingness? And Locke is the man. I can't blame him for not being able to put down his own father. Now, it's off to the Others to be disappointed in the results of killing his dad. :)
Hey Y'all - i so want to be on that podcast! As long as it has an explicit tag!
Thoughts on this epicsode (sic):
When Ben said to Locke "you're not ready to know that right now" near the beginning, i was thinking 'for fucks sake, get on with it!' But by the end, i was thinking 'for fucks sake - that's mental!'
Ben told Locke about Juliet. right? in the tent scene.
Yes Palmer. Ben got conveniently caught listening to Juliet's report. He sent Tom to get Locke and was still listening when Locke got there.
I think last night's episode was good, but more like Kim that it was an intense and disturbing kind of good. This season gets darker and darker.

Holli
Sadace, we certainly haven't seen anything happen that hasn't really been what Ben wanted at least when it comes to Locke. The one place he seemed surprised was Jack's kidney sac play, but then he amazingly regains consciousness. I guess Ben was actually in control and playing everyone then too.
Holli
Holli
So I guess Palmer, that Jack is being "lonely, and frightened and angry" as the Thai skank declared. That I could accept if he wasn't trusting Juliet.
Kate, bless her heart (another Southern thing), was right in calling Jack out on the you're trusting her but not the people you lived with for 80 days who'd follow you anywhere like Hurley. Getting Hurley not to trust you is pretty bad. Almost like kicking a dog.
Holli
"bless her heart" is used up north too.
and i really hope that Bai Ling is never on LOST again. unless Jack gets to find a chain and pull a Sawyer maneuver. which sort of sounds like kinky tent happenings with Kate but is actually a reference to the demise of Anthony Cooper.
Holli
Holli, thanks for the segment title. I like it. Hosepipe or Waterhose? Morgan got sick because she got under the hosepipe last weekend.
by the way...
do you think a little "island gang justice" is going to happen and Juliet is going to get strung up when Sawyer comes back and shows them the taperecorder and outs her as a mole.
Nice knowing you Juliet?
so, did the dynamite come from somewhere other than the Black Rock and just get stored there? dynamite was invented in 1867... after slavery was abolished in most of the English speaking world. unless some slavery lovin' jerk just bought an English labeled boat.
patented in 1867, invented in 1866.
From the Lost Experience we learned:
The slave trade had been outlawed in 1807, indicating the New World Sea Traders operated in the black market. and The Black Rock disappeared in 1881, on a return voyage from a gold mining operation in the South Indian Ocean.

That this thing that he's been clutching to for so long and that has made him who he is today, is over.
it was an Easy Like Sunday Morning, Ralph.
i'm interested in how Sawyer's demeanor changes now. does he stop trying to push people away? or does he only hate himself more?
i really hope that they don't suddenly make Sawyer a nice guy and a good leader. Sawyer being a jerk and a reluctant hero is the fun Sawyer.
how did cooper really get to the island? kidnapped and dumped by the others?
Sawyer, Charlie and Sayid being the moral compass of the LOSTies. How far we've come.
It's not Sawyer's lack of shoulders that bother's me so much as his pointy nose that always seems ready to have sweat dripping off it. It makes me think of this.
Holli
palmer, i am a total scatterbrain. thanks.
Yeah, lionel richie is the shit! but nothing compares to the southing sounds of michael mcdonald. "Such a long way to go..."
The Commodores performed on New Year's Eve at my Country Club when I was growing up.
Holli
The real Commodores with Lionel Richie. They lived an hour away in Tuskegee, AL at the time. And REM performed in the pub at my college when my husband was there and no one went.
Holli
kaput... oh dear no blamo today...
jordan-
You may be right; although, he had all sorts of conflicted feelings when he killed Shrimp Guy in season one.
Holli, I thought that you were going to link to a picture of the Snow Miser...
Snow Miser could work too Trevor.
I was ready to kill A Coop for Sawyer he was such a jerk. I only wish Sawyer had been wearing this when he did this.
Holli
metal bikini good. dude in a metal bikini not good.
and what kind of a strange perv was Jabba? he was a slug who was attracted to bipeds. that's screwed up. that'd be like Luke wanting to bang a Hutt.
as opposed to wanting to bang his sister... huh. :\
Do I have a problem if I sing Movie Picks when I listen to Jay & Jack's contest segment?
Holli
I thought Sawyer's hair looked alot like this
.
That reminds me of this.
Thoughts about the episode
I don' see that
Dannielle + dynomite = other
It just may be some random thing like this was the only episode Mira Furlan was available.

Maybe I've not calmed down yet.
Holli - that's frakkin' excellent about your husband seeing REM way back when. Very jealous.
elias - I'm trying to decide whether Richard really does represent another faction of the others (along with Juliet), or if it's all Ben's plan
Steph - been meaning to say for the entire thread - I TOTALLY hope you do a podcast. I would iPod that thing as soon as it was available.
taken from DarkUFO answers:
Who is the real Sawyer?
Where did the helicopter take off from?
What happens in a week (island time)?
How did Locke hurt his hand?
Why is Lock leaving with the Others (from Left Behind)?
Where have the Others gone?
All were answered categorically this week. Of course this episode posed more questions but that's Lost.
Thorley Winston, Good point about Locke leading Sawyer on his journey like he did with Jack chasing his white rabbit and Boone and the wacky-paste. It seemed to me too that it's cheating to get Sawyer to do what you're supposed to do.
Holli
I think I agree with you elias. It does make sense with the way they have set the "faction" idea up this season. They are probably bringing it back up because it will most likely be a factor in the final episodes (NOT based on any spoilers).
Who would you rather be - a log-carrying guy on the beach or a J. Crew wearing bookcase-carrying Other?
Holli
Holli - but what if Locke just doesn't buy Ben's whole 'you have to kill your father' thing? I'm not sure Locke cares too much about Ben's approval EXCEPT insofar as it gets Ben to show him the 'box' or Jacob or whatever.
....oooh good question Holli....hmmm
MB, it's still cheating. I get that A Coop's existence was emotionally "crippling" Locke, but why is he on the Island? Locke wasn't being emotionally crippled by his dad when A Coop wasn't on the Island? Aaarrrghhh. Brain starting to melt. Probably need to take a break.
As for my previous question, I'd rather tote logs, but I'd also rather have a shower, so someone grab the other end of that #$@# bookcase.
Holli
Log carrying guy - I can't imagine anything about the others making me think "Yeah, I'll hang with you all. I mean you all seem so normal and un-creepy. I totally trust you."
But MB the Others have cheeseburgers as opposed to boar.
Holli
Mixed Feelings about the episode.
As mentioned, maybe I should watch again.
Of course, I will watch again. Always do!
Danelle + dynamite = mayhem in final episode.
I was intrigued by Sayid's comment that the sat phone was more advanced than he'd seen. It fits in with my crackpot theory that time runs faster off the island. My thinking is that the outside world has kept pace with us viewers and that it's 2007.
Good point Tall Guy. I want the next question to Naomi to be what was the date when you flew off the freighter and had to ditch?
Holli
(re: log carrier vs. other)
...oh man...you said cheeseburger....(dreamy eyes) mmmmm...
Damn that does make it harder. They're just such freakazoids - and Sawyer does roast a mean pig now. Now I don't know (sigh)
Holli
Holli - yes - we had BETTER learn more. After all this setup - I am expecting a fairly big payoff coming DAMMIT!! (NOT based on any spoilers)
:)
Also Michael Emerson deserves any acting prizes that come along but Josh Holloway was still convincing in this episode.
so if time on the island is faster... can that sat phone just be the real iphone?!
Josh Holloway was good. He's no Edward James Olmos though.
i'm a huge science fiction fan but i really hope that:
1) they're not dead
2) ben's not a master manipulator because of precognition
3) time doesn't pass differently on JizzIsland
as concepts, they're all pretty cool. but they just don't work for me for LOST.
I wanted to remind everyone that The Office starts and ends at different times tonight, so adjust your recording devices accordingly. I don't want to see a discussion thread full of "dang I missed it," and "how did it end?" tomorrow. The Great and Powerful Mom has spoken.
Holli
I tend to agree with you Palmer but what is the Smoke Monster if not sci-fi?
I would say that your 3rd point would be acceptable to me but the other 2 would be a stretch.
ralph im with you pal one of the best episodes in a long time (even though all of recent episodes have easily easily eclipsed most of season 2 and the begining of season 3.
The thing I most want to see next week is Jin going roundhouse on Jack and Juliet.
Holli
Jin Kwon, Texas Ranger.
Jin, Sawyer and Sayid taking turns kicking Jack in his coconut head.
Sorry I just went Andy Bernard there.
Palmer - I agree with you almost completely.
The "they're all dead" thing can't really be proved until the end of the series unless Penny is that proof.
Agree with you about Ben - I don't think he sees the future and I don't want that to be true.
The on-island time thing is acceptable to me and I don't know why. Of course it would be good for the Walt ageing thing too as you say.
Also I agree with you on the Rousseau thing - although it does look like she will play a part in the finale ruckus.
New thread
