I'm in lovely Toronto teaching some nice people how to use Excel.
Was at a friend's place tonight watching Monday Night Football. Lots of fun.
Looking forward to hearing how Ally does quitting her job.
Missed Heroes tonight... meh!

Everything i said is TRUE. Ben is coming over tomorrow and we will record a show. Most Likely a Free Form Show...and there is gonna be a SHIT-TON of Calls!!

ralph-, it's good to hear you two are back in the podcasting mood. The Lars has been missed. That sentence just doesn't have the impact I was shooting for. We've missed the Lars terribly.
Holli, you should watch Heroes. It was very good.
Steph, if Heroes is still very good 2 weeks from now I'll consider.
For anyone wondering Worst Week was not good. Yuck!
And Hubby's finally given up on CSI:Miami, so no Horatio lines for me.

was there three hours of Heroes programming? we skipped it altogether thinking it was the one hour Heroes circle jerk and then the first episode. but i hear there was a second hour of episodes.
interesting. wonder if it blew goats or not.
One hour circle jerk and two episodes, p. I thought they were excellent. At first I thought they were leaving plot holes but they filled them by the end. They've finally gave Suresh something to do. Which turns out to be HOT. Claire and Sylar was fantastic! Sylar: "Claire! That is disgusting!" LOL. The most uninteresting story goes to Parkman. Everyone else is fascinating.
There's so many other things I loved about the two episodes but don't want to spoil them for you. I love what they did with Peter. I love what they did with Nathan. I love what they did with _____. Overall, the creativity is back with Heroes.
too bad the creativity is Ira Steven Behr's from a few years ago on 'The 4400.'

i talked to my boss yesterday, i finally got the courage to tell him that i'm moving on. he seemed worried about who's gonna do my work but is happy for me to be moving on to something better.
Chris, i think i have done that every time i have taken a break and has come back. It is fun to rile you guy up. I dont know why i do it, but it amuses me.

Congrats Ally. At least your boss was happy for you. Back when I left my job to go to Europe, my boss's main reaction was he was pissed off because he now had to find somebody to do my work. He was a bit of a douche though, and I did a lot of his work for him as I was more qualified than him.
I liked Heroes last night. Maybe not as much as Steph. But it definitely was better. They are obviously rebooting the series and seem to have direction this time. If you haven't watched the first two ep's yet, they were fun, but expect a lot of exposition and set up. Pretty much every character has a new story arc/direction to figure out. And while older viewers could probably figure it out over time, the writers seem to want to get it explained all now (for the most part), as well as explain enough to newer viewers who don't know about the past. If you watched the stupid "E! red carpet" style countdown show, they said as much as well as gave cheesy 30 sec character recaps. But all in all it was a very fun watch. I have one gripe overall, which I will mention over on the BBS, but for the most part the show is new again. And Steph, that Sylar line was pretty funny. Bout time they answered that question. I'm glad to know that I was right all along in not thinking what a lot of people thought.
You'll need an asymmetrical haircut to blend in, Chris. Or a crackpipe.
