Wow...thats cool. My friend really wants to see the Clerks II. Hes a huge fan of the series.

YAY Clerks 2. Also this summer Evening with Kevin Smith 2 - Evening Harder comes out.

I will be waiting in line for the first show on friday. I wish the theater i used to work at didn't get bought out and all the managers and asst. got fired. :(

Mike Campbell said...

Since the writers have said we will learn how locke lost the use of his legs, should we set up an offical bets and theories of how it happened it him? I just thought because its something we KNOW will happen it might be fun, and a way to be lost back to the board.

aimee in little rock said...

What did Ralph do for Clerks II?

Locke was paralyzed from a car accident with Libby.

I am sooo right.

Mike Campbell said...

Thats a good one aimee. But i think now that she is dead, people might be over thinking her. And if the writers keep putting her in all the time now would be lame. I am going to think up a good theory.

Ralph- said...

NICE!

Ralph- said...

aimee, they had a thing on myspace for hard core nerds. if you were one of the first 10,000 people to add clerks 2 as your friend, than you would get a fan credit. nothing special, but kind of fun.

Mike Campbell said...

Well congrads Ralph i tried for that too, but my stupid name is common

Ralph- said...

my wife an ben should be there too, but ben's name is pretty common. my wife on the other hand, Stevi Apel, should be pretty easy to spot. i am looking forward to checking it out this weekend, while at comic con.
this is Ralph Apel saying, "Go Fuck yourself SanDiego". but not really. i was just quoting that movie. anchorman.

Brisco County Jr Complete Series on DVD? Somebody pinch me!

Yes, Desmond!!

aimee in little rock said...

Touch the Orb, baby. Oh yeah, touch that Orb.

Ralph- said...

there is a Brisco county Jr. Panel this weekend with Bruce Campbell and Carltunt

aimee in little rock said...

Why do they have panels for shows that don't exist anymore?

Ralph- said...

to promote the dvd release. bruce campbell is huge at comic con. last years lost panel discussed the DVD release of season 1, for the most part. so there wont be a lot of info this year for season 3, but we will get a sneak preview of some of the documentaries from season 2. and maybe a little season 3 talk. last year carlton and damon mentioned that there was going to be a vincent flashback by the 3rd episode of season 2. so i am sure they will have more shit to sling this saturday.

aimee in little rock said...

Why are there no spoiler ethics among the Lost creators? It actually makes them seem like bigger assholes than they already are. They know that they have this power over this massive and nerdy fanbase, and its really wrong of them to take advantage of that.

This is the type of show where anything goes; so even a spoiler like that, in a world such as Lost, could be considered realistic. Yet we know they only said something like that to make fun of us, just like they make fun of screen names and shit.

In the end, their arrogance is what's going to ruin the fan's respect of the show.

Ralph- said...

thats true. at the time i had NO idea who they were. they did make is sound like they were being serious about it. i was excited to see some clever writing, but than i realised they were big fat liars. then comes the podcast and i am all like, hey, those are those guys who lied to me that one time. you know the rest.

aimee in little rock said...

I think ABC should get some other people to host the official podcast. At this point, I'd be more satisfied to have Joe-Blow Writer Guy, or Best Boy Grip Guy doing the show, than CC.

Ralph- said...

jorge should do it. i am sure he would love to do it. he is a fan of the podcasts, i am sure he has entertained the notion of doing one. at least one episode.

maybe that would be my question to jorge and daniel dae.

"Have either of YOU thought about hosting the Oficial Lost Podcast?"

i would get a sweet answer from jorge and daniel dae, and make Damon and Carltunt feel like fools.

Mike Campbell said...

I am sorry but i kinda enjoy their Podcast. I know that they are not really going to tell us anything true, so i know what to expect from them. Sometimes on the podcast they do tell some meaty stuff that comes true so i guess you hold out hope for those times. They like to mess around as much as anyone else, i figure. Its just the position they are in, that we get bummed out when they mess around.

Carliton is still a tool though. Demon is ok :)

Mike Campbell said...

Ralph - are you going to help Jay and Jack get that sammuel l jackson interview :) I want to hear Jack's impression since he was building it up so much. I hope they do call this podcast

aimee in little rock said...

I think you just hit the nail on the head, brother.

What better way to humiliate CC & DL than to tell someone else they'd be better, right in front of them.

Honestly though, I don't think that Damon Lindelof is anywhere near as big of a douchebag as Carlton Cuse seems to be. I feel bad for judging someone that I don't really know, but what I have seen and heard of him (CC) makes him out to be such a prick that I can't help it. Damon is more of a douchebag-by-association.

I think Jorge would have fun doing something like that, I wonder if he still listens to MYOKOM w/SAS at all anymore.

Mike Campbell said...

aimee - the internet was created so we could judge people we don't know silly :) The voice of the people, who have too much time to waste

aimee in little rock said...

I see your point Mike, but then we're no better than people like CC, who make fun of innocent people - fans that pay his salary, so to speak - for no other purpose than to make himself feel cooler.

I prefer justifiable bullying only.

Ralph- said...

maybe i can get jack to record his Sam Jackson impression for our show.

i would really love to hear a podcast from Jorge. he is a fan of Lost, he loves music, why wouldnt he have a podcast. how damon and carltunt take it, is their own insecurities.

i think that will be my question. it is honest, it is one that i am interested in hearing the answer to, and has a bit of maliciousness (sp?) to it. but i feel it is valid. it would be easy to ask. i would not have to rehearse it. and i would get some great feedback.

i have chosen my question.

aimee in little rock said...

Good for you, Ralph! I think that would be a great question to ask on many levels.

Ralph- said...

it would also give jorge the chance to talk about podcast he does listen to. i love the question because it is real. i am just lucky that it has a secondary motive

aimee in little rock said...

I would imagine there are a lot of stupid questions that are asked at these things.

"Boxers or Briefs?"
"Do you have a girlfriend?"
"Is Sawyer going to hook up with Kate?"
"Why is Carlton Cuse such a tool?"

Or just about any question having to do with a continuity error.

Have you attended these types of forums before?

Ralph- said...

ben and i were there last year, when it was Josh Holloway and Magie Grace. i dont remember any specific questions asked, which goes to show you the amount of inteligence in the crowd. the one thin g i do remember was that a lady got up and said "this question is for sawyer and shannon". you really do need the patience of a saint to attend this convention. you also need to remain focused on not letting some of these people get to you. i am the first to tell you that i am a nerd, but seriously, these people take it waaay to far. i concider podcasting taking a show too far, but i am entertained by it, and it keeps me entertained. but these people are fucking nutzo! i am talking about crazy cat ladies that would knit a pair of mittens for josh halloway. if you can get around those people, and enjoy seeing your favorite actors and directors talking about upcoming projects, it is a really good experience. i am definitly going to ask a question at the panel, and i will bring some intelegence to the crowd. i will not be a giggling idiot, or an asshole fan looking to start shit, like some people do. i am ralph, and i have to make sure that my name is not dragged down due to some stupid shit i say at comic con. i will call craig on saturday, following the panel, and give you all the ARG update, if any of you care. other than that i will just let you know how it goes.

Goofball said...

So you didn't get to meet Rosario Dawson? Too Bad. I hear she will be at Comic con on July 20th.

aimee in little rock said...

The best line in that post was the moment where you said "I AM RALPH" - that's some awesome shit.

I also am a nerd, but I don't consider myself to be a psychotic nerd, like some of those cat ladies and delusional fans that address the actors by their character names.

I'm glad that you're representing the MYOKOM w/SAS, you'll do us proud.

Mike Campbell said...

Ralph we have total faith in you. Goof he should be proud he doesn't have to look at dawson, but i think he is going to be there the whole weekend. Rasario Dawson is an evil evil person.

I know what you mean though about crazy fans. And sadly i think i might be one. Whenever i have met someone before i get all giggly and i hate that i feel like that inside. I do my best to hide it so it doesn't show. When i met Taye Diggs and Idina Menzel after a performance of wicked i wanted to jump up and down cause they were in the orginal cast of RENT. but i just had them sign my cover and told them how amazingtastic they were. Thats my random stupid story.

aimee in little rock said...

Taye Diggs is f'ing hot. Rent is on its way to my house from Blockbuster online - finally!

Mike Campbell said...

Aimee - I hope you like it. I also finally watched the First Nightmare And Dreamscapes. I loved the one with William Hurt The Toys looked really good. And who hasn't had a nightmare of the toys coming to get you

aimee in little rock said...

I liked that segment too. Thanks for reminding me that it's on tonight; I forgot!

Given the whole Stephen King-Lost relationship already, is it a coincidence that Stephen King's thing is airing on Wednesday night; the same night that Lost airs?

md said...

The new issue of TV Guide (July 24-30) has a cool interview with JJ Abrams in it. It's mostly about directing the new Star Trek movie, but there's a lot about Lost in it. He's going to direct at least one episode next year and he oficially states that "Desmond will definately be back. He's not dead." (nothing about Locke and/or Eko, but they're probably alive) In a sidebar, our favorite tag team, DL and CC, talk about Lost's sci-fi roots in the The Twilight Zone, Star Trek, The Stand (a Stephen King book and one of CC's "biggest influences"), and Star Wars (Sawyer = Han Solo). There's also another sidebar with Terry O'Quinn and his feelings on Locke. It's worth reading.

goofball said...

Hey mike what makes Rosario evil?

Ralph could you at least grab her ass and give a report? Even if she was satan's chef I would still like to taste her taco.

Ralph- said...

that's harrassment, and uncalled for. besides i am into her boobies more.

how did we get on the conversation of rosario dawson anyway?

this is my last post, until i get back sunday. have a good weekend, and hopefully craig will put up the call, for all of you to hear.

may the force be with you, and prosper, mutha' fuckaaaaaaaas!

Ralph- said...

did i mention that i was going to go see Steely Dan with Michael MacDonald tonight? cause that is happening too...!!!!!!

KABLAMI!

notahowiefan said...

Ralph, let me get this straight: you like Kevin Smith, who has turned out to be a one trick no-talent jackass (repeated use of Ben Afleck??!! OMFG), and you hate CC, who has managed to crank out over 40 hours of quality entertainment. The value of your critical cultural opinion is sliding towards zero.

Mike Campbell said...

goofball - i just don't like her as an actress and she is in all the movies i am looking forward to. I am a huge Rent the musical fan and she was in the movie and ruined the role of mimi. I don't find her hot, which is what people like the most about her.

aimee in little rock said...

Notahowiefan, in Ralph's defense, "different strokes for different folks"! Talent is in the eye of the beholder, so none of us can really judge; we can only voice opinions. We shouldn't attack each other for having one though, unless its in the name of friendly debate.

Don't be mean!!

aimee in little rock said...

Quick survey: Has anyone else ever had in their life, "the one who got away"?

I'm flipping out because I just found mine while searching MySpace (I'm forcing myself to learn how to use it).

Should I say something to him?

Ralph- said...

In my defense,
1. dont try to challenge me when i have stated that i will be gone for 5 days, that is sneaky.
2. Kevin Smith is a brilliant writer, who comes up with smart/ funny dialogue.
3. Kevin Smith has an appreciation for his fans.
4. Carlton Cuse shows NO respect towards his fans, no matter how much they show their affection towards his creation.
5. i think that kevin smith needs to improve his directing style. i feel that he should stick to writing, before directing again.
6. i dont need anyone's shit, so fuck off. my opinions are just as valid as anyone elses, and find it rediculous that i have to explain myself to someone who has a critical cultural scale! by the way, if you feel that kevin smith is a joke, why would you quote one of his written lines?
7. what are you, Carlton's Wife?
8. have a good weekend all!

aimee, keep these jokers in line.

thanks,
I AM RALPH-, Deal with it!

Ralph- said...

oh, and aimee. drop that person a line! i speak for all dudes.

aimee in little rock said...

I AM RALPH, that's the new MYOKOM w/SAS catchphrase. I love that.

I like Kevin Smith, but that's not why I was defending you. That guy was just being rude!

Temptation won, and I sent "the one who got away" a friend invite on myspace, without a message (because I didn't know how), and I got a reply this morning. He like, flipped out, in a good way, to hear from me.

Mike Campbell said...

Kevin Smith is the man. Thats about it :)

Aimee will you be my friend :)

Mike Campbell said...

since we are not there and boo ralph is, aint it cool has these SWEET pics of the lost figures from comic con

aimee in little rock said...

Those look awesome! Did you see that one of Locke? I thought it was a real picture; it was so life-like!

Mike Campbell said...

Aimee i myspace stalked you, hope you don't find. Congrads on send a message to "Him".

There is a girl i was with for awhile and it was an ugly breakup on myspace i stalk every now and then. But we haven't talked in a year or so. and its a bummer. but you are a better person :)

How was nightmares last night? i tivoed it, was it like the william hurt one or the crappy second one :)

aimee in little rock said...

I just got a myspace email from someone named Mike, I was wondering who that was. I can't see for myself, because my work computer doesn't let me access myspace. Anyway, I'm happy to be stalked; it helps my self-esteem.

I have had 'unfinished business' with a few guys in my past; the one that burned me died, the one that I burned is still out there somewhere, but this guy was THE guy.

I'm married now, so technically it's all in the past, but I did always wonder if I'd ever see him again.

It was a long and dramatic road which mostly involved his unfaithful girlfriend. She knew I was in love with him (even though I would vehemently deny it), slept with my roommate, and made out with me at a party and got caught (after which HE found out). I guess to her, if it's another girl it's not cheating. Oh, and I slept with her brother. Yes, yes, very dramatic.

aimee in little rock said...

It was all very 'Melrose Place'. In fact, we all lived in the same apartment complex, so really it WAS a lot like Melrose Place.

Mike Campbell said...

Gotta love the drama!

aimee in little rock said...

It does sound quite Hollywood, doesn't it?

aimee in little rock said...

And the roommate of mine was a guy.

Mike Campbell said...

There is drama every where you go, i guess you can;t excape it. All you can do is watch RENT and be happy :)

Make sure you tell me what you think aimee. I am just a huge fan of musicals so i really enjoyed it.

I was thinking that Locke is going to lose the use of his legs because he goes looking for his dad. But the bad people who are looking for his dad are going to be following locke around. I think there will be a semi show down involving locke his dad and those other con men.

aimee in little rock said...

That would be quite an action-packed storyline, but why would Locke be looking for his father again? I suppose he could have been looking for him after Helen leaves him because he's got nothing better to do.

I know that we have not seen the last of Locke's father, simply because I still stand by my theory that he is the real Sawyer. After his last appearance on the show, my theory was only solidified.

I think the creators will expect that the fans expect something huge like your theory, which makes me believe that it's going to be something simple like a car accident.

I think the only question will be who else will be involved in it (i.e. Jack or Christian Shepard trying to "fix" him, or someone we know actually being in or being the cause of the accident.)

I wanted to start mentally preparing myself for Season 3, so I was reviewing the finale information. For what reasons do you believe the Others specifically chose Jack, Sawyer, and Kate (and Hurley)? Have we covered this before; I can't remember.

aimee in little rock said...

Has anyone heard about the webisodes of The Office on the internet, called "The Office: The Accountants"?

I found this article about them:

Here's the link to the videos:

Mike Campbell said...

i kinda think sawyer might be there when locke loses his legs, or locke sees sawyer somewhere, because i have always questioned why locke looks at sawyer the way he does. and sawyer looks really pissed looking back at locke. Maybe its just me but they really have an intense stare at each other, and it can't be just because he calls him James.

I have no flippen clue why they picked those three. I semi care the reason but i am looking forward to seeing their base of operations. I hope we learn a lot of stuff in the first few eppisodes. I am worried they might take each of them to different places, so one eppisode will be following jack, then kate the sawyer. I can't wait for its return.

On a side note, does anyone wonder why they release the dvd only a week before the show comes back on. i think they would want to release it at least a few weeks before it comes back on tv, to give people time to catch up. The Normal person wouldn't marathon a show, like the special ones like us do :)

Did you hear that Joel Siegel walked out of Clerks II, the first time he's walked out of a movie in 30 years!

aimee in little rock said...

Usually the greatest geniuses are the most misunderstood.

I haven't seen Clerks II, but hey, I'm just trying to put a positive spin on things.

notahowiefan said...

Hey, I'm mostly joking about Ralph! Seriously, though, I don't get the hatred of CC around here. My reasons for not liking Kevin Smith are pretty straightforward: his movies (other than Clerks) are only decent when Jason Lee is onscreen. When he is not, and if Ben Affleck is onscreen, they are really, really unwatchable.

aimee in little rock said...

Your straightforward reasons are actually just straightforward opinions, and yours is just as valid as anyone else's here.

In your own words:

About Kevin Smith:
"one trick no-talent jackass"

About Ralph:
"the value of your critical cultural opinion is sliding towards zero."

So yeah, regardless of your intentions (joking or not), you came off as a douchebag.

I wish I could see it, but Brian would never go with me. I guess I'll have to wait for DVD..

The last concert I saw was Bad Religion in 1999. There aren't that many bands I'm willing to see, but Breaking Benjamin is definitely one of them.

My husband doesn't really like them, so I doubt he'd want to go. I have one month to find someone in LR to go!

Notahowiefan,

Mike Campbell said...

I enjoyed Clerks 2. I like Smith's type of humor and i thought he was in top form. I felt he pushed the limits and then he made you really feel for Randal. I saw it twice today and i will see it a few more times in the theater. I will write more about it tomorrow. There will be no Red Card, people can make mistakes :)

Jellymanianos said...

Hi Aimee,

No, Street Wars say I live to far outside the 'War zone'. I'm about an hour from London, but i need to live inside the zone so that people aren't travelling too long a distance to make their kills!

Aimee... (And I apologize if this theory has already been mentioned to death elsewhere... I don't get around the other message boards much.)

As for why Jack, Kate and Sawyer were taken, the only theory that I keep thinking of was that maybe they were the ones who'd killed people in their past? Then I remembered Jin and Sayid, so maybe that theory is out. Maybe the Others have a thing against love-triangles.

I am about 2/3 finished reading The Mysterious Island, by Jules Verne. Although long and highly scientic at parts, it is a great book, especially for fans of Lost.

There is one quote in particular which I have just read, that I wanted to share, and I think others might it interesting. Many strange occurrences have happened to the "colonists" as they are referred to (not "survivors"), and this summarizes them wonderfully:

"I do not believe in chance, any more than I believe in mysteries in this world. There is a reason for everything unaccountable which has happened here, and that reason I shall discover. But in the meantime, we must work and observe."
