And Nothing But The Truth.

So, what did you guys think of "The Whole Truth"?
Could have used some more answers. It was the first new episode, and we will get 8 more over the course of the next 9 weeks. Let's hope they start to step it up!

I dug it. This is certainly leading up to something amazing...

It was ok... For some reason I found it interesting how Henry was "playing" with locke and jack hehe, it was a funny episode too, a couple jokes from ana lucia, sawyer and henry... And umm... Sun is #@$%ing up

The preview for next week's episode? bangin

You've got to be kidding me. This was the worst filler episode yet. What did we learn that we hadn't already by last week's preview? That Hurley's sneaking food? That Jack and Locke have issues. Sheesh -- total placeholder until next week.

disagree anonymous...immaculate conception, widmore labs, beginning of the end of jin's language barrier, great insight into Gale's true nature and motivations, timeline clarification...plenty of good info

We didn't get "The Whole Truth," but we sure as hell ought to be able to piece it together.

1) Sun finds out it is impossible for her to conceive.

2) Sun is seeing her cue-ball crush for "lessons" in English, for a month after she's fluent.

3) Thinking about her diagnosis, she succumbs to her crush for cue-ball; Jin will never know, she can't get pregnant. (She and cue-ball were so about to make-out in pefore they cut out of flashback).

4) Only later does she find out that in fact the doc lied, and she can get pregnant.

5) Two or so months later, on the island, she finds out she is pregnant, and lies to Jin about it (the look on her face told the whole truth).

Sun is pregnant with cue-ball's kid.

And Henry Gale is definitely lying.

"Got Milk?"

I have to agree completely with Moose, Sun was definitely lying to Jin about not being with another man and that's gonna be something big later on

Craig,

I....lub....you

I thought it was "alright". I actually think they are going to kill off Jin, to tell you the truth. ust a feeling.

But I think they dragged out the Sun flash back a bit. Henry was great again. No doubt that these characters are making some really sharp turns towards darker moods.

Here's something. Has Kate and Claire told anyone about what they found? If not, why not?

One thing i have to say in all seriousness, is: did anyone pick up on the backward speaking Sawyer and Bernard bit? Or was it just my version was fucked up? I reversed it and edited it quite quickly, and it was nothing of any sort of significance. It occurred at the end of the bit where Sawyer comes up to Jin and Bernard talking about oysters. Does anyone else know what i'm talking about?

Anonymous said...

i dont think the bernard/sawyer conversation was backwards...just jumbled, to show what it sounds like to jin...

Ralph- said...

i think you are both right.
i am pretty sure that the diologue was reversed to show what Jin was hearing. I'll bet, that if you play it in reverse, that there is a really funny conversation. maybe something to the effect of "can you believe that people are playing this backwards?" where is Craig, with his sleuthing skillz to play this junk backwards?

Ralph- said...

you know what?
i have faith that we will get a myokomw/sas on saturday! dylan requested that craig take a week off, and then continue with the show. i am sure craig wouldn't let dylan down. not after dylan putting his life on the line for craig's freedom!

i hope that dylan is doing okay in bootcamp!

craig, has he sent you any messages about his time spent in the navy?

Haven't heard from Dylan since the going aweigh party.

I also think this was the most deceiving title of all the episodes. We probably only got a small percentage of the truth.

the reversed dialogue goes like this:

Bernard: well, aren't you gonna tell him then?
Sawyer: Not my place.
Bernard: well, you should tell him!
Sawyer: Hell, no! Let sunshine tell 'im!

So you see, i'm not mental, i just wanted clarification, 'tis all.

I wonder if this has any other implications though? The conversation was alien to Jin, because it sounded backwards to him, maybe this is the same for people hearing/ seeing Walt, he just talks alien so they have trouble understanding? Maybe walt is actually an alien? I have no real idea what i'm talking about now, i should never had that last beer.

But if anyone wants the clip with the dialogue the right way round, just let me know and i'll give to you.

all of this is just to show the audience, what is gong on in Jin's head. you have to feel sorry for the guy. he only has one person to talk to on the island. i was hoping that he would have asked Sun to teach him English, while they were talking in the garden. i think that would have been really powerfull. for jin to admit that his wife can teach him a thing or two, would really add a lot to his character as well as strengthen their relationshit. jeezus, i sound like a little girl talking about sweet valley high, or swan crossing. by the way, how freaking H-O-T was Sun at the begining of the episode?!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, Ralph! I have to say - i wasn't that keen on her before, but after seeing that bit where she's walking the dog - damn! she looked very good looking...

I thought it was Korean while I was watching the episode. Shows how much I know.

I'm fairly certain Henry meant that it was the closest thing they had to a home ON THE ISLAND. But if he's not an other, then he is definitely socially retarded and should not be playing mind games with people who are threatening to kill him.
I agree with Katie about Sun, though. I really don't think they would have had her swear to her husband that she had never slept with anyone but him if it was a lie. I took the improbable pregnancy as just another example of the quasi-supernatural stuff that happens on the island. Also, as Katie mentioned, I can't imagine anyone being too thrilled about being pregnant on an island with subpar pre-natal care where babies are snatched.

It felt sooo good to see a new episode again, only I was bed ridden with a migraine on Tues, Wed, and Thurs and completely forgot about it until today. I just finished watching it and give it an A for being new, a B for being fun to watch, and a C for content.

It's going to be a looong pregancy if 1.5 seasons worth of show is only her first trimester. They'll probably start speeding things up a bit though I'm sure.

Henry is a dirty liar, Jack & Locke are like two bitching spouses, and Sayid & Ana Lucia are totally getting it on in season 3.

P.S. to all the well-wishers...I got the job!

Craig, please.

What has happened, you forget to turn the mic on Craigy?

Ralph- said...

Craig, i hope you dont just hang us out to dry. please let us know what the status is. it would be unfair if we got to all say goodbye to dylan, but not to you.

I didn't know the soundtrack was released. I wish iTunes had it, but they didn't so I just bought it from Amazon.

How does one catch oysters? Because i thought they pretty much inanimate - surely you just pick them up, by definition, to catch something would mean some effort? I'm nit picking, mainly because i have nothing other than to listen to than the voices in my head, because of Craig ... hint hint.

Anonymous said...

yea to catch something it would have to be trying to get away from you somehow. oysters you just pick up out of the mud.

This week's People magazine has an article about Jorge Garcia that let a tasty secret slip out, I don't know if it was intentional or not. Apparently our friend Hurley has an upcoming kissing scene with fellow islander Libby:

"Hurley is not the obvious choice to build a romance around," he says of his character's flirtation with Libby, played by Cynthia Watros. "I think it's cool that Hurley gets the girl." And the kissing scene? "We had a lot of fun with it," says Garcia, "and so did the PAs. They brought the breath mints over to us and I was like, 'Are you for real?' But I took them anyway."

I know I haven't had much time for Lost lately, so this could be old news to some of you; I just thought it was a cool spoiler to hear about!

is it just me, or does this blog feel like a ghost town now?

is it over?

Just found your blog by searching for "Make your own kind of music", as I'm actually listening to this song now..

I'm actually obsessed by this song and it's quite unique catatonic state it puts me into when I suddenly want to make shakes, exercise, take a shower, and then suddenly my wife punches me in the face and I realize that Locke has just blown the hatch..

Great blog, and I'm glad I found you people.....

I think the island is a Noah's ark of sort.

anyone else agree or disagree?

aimee is lost said...

Ralph,

I'm starting to feel the same way, but that's why I feel compelled to post even more. Like I'm trying to breathe life into something that's dying.

I suppose it was kind of inevitable though. I can't blame Craig; MYOKOM w/SAS needs two hosts, and it would probably take a lot of motivation to make Craig have the energy to play both parts. Maybe if we all agree to sleep with him he'll do it. Katie?

Anonymous said...

Maybe i should agree to sleep with him - just to cover all options?

Jimmy said...

Well, I'll play my part :)

Seriously though...if Craig can't manage it, Kudos for a great run.

Anonymous said...

Yeah man - all things must past (i'm sure i heard some scousers mutter that once upon a time) and it was really very good while it lasted. Maybe it's good to end it now - we can all keep out the postings going though, right? I've conversed with some great people on here.

Just be kind enough to let us know that you're OK though Craig - and it wasn't you who crashed to jay last week! What a twist that would be!

I'm hungry - anyone want some Chow mein?

aimee is lost said...

If you do it on the internet or in different time zones, it's not cheating.

Seriously though, we should be patient; I mean, we've gone through Lost hiatus after hiatus; I think we can survive waiting for Craig to decide what he wants to do.

Ralph- said...

i think the difference between the hiatuses is that at the end of a lost episode, they say next time on lost...but with MYOKOMW/SAS, we dont know if there will be a next time!
