i thought that was pretty cool.

but what was hurley already replacing himself with grown up Walt? or just hanging out with him since he owes Walt all that money betting on backgammon?

Morgan said...

I think it resolved Walt's character as best as they could. He was special and his destiny was to be the leader, seeing as he could just appear in places, call things to him, etc. What I want to know is how/why they had a Dharma van on the mainland. Overall, I thought it was a nice epilogue, but not completely necessary to the show.

The dharma van probably came from the pallet drop warehouse. Ben took it after he closed up shop

God damn! I don't miss blogger and its lack of edit feature. That's 2 posts I deleted so far.

Miss the blogspot. Still pretty bummed about Lost ending. Kinda in denial. Haven't listened to any finale podcasts.

Saving the epilogue for down the road. I'm probably gonna be disappointed, but at least I got 1 more bit of Lost to look forward to.

Now I understand why Desmond was saving Our Mutual Friend.

I actually bought all the blu-rays as they were released (and sold my dvds). Now I kinda wish I would've held off and bought the box set.

I wonder if there is any difference in the disc content.

Honestly it wasn't necessary and I would have preferred if it wasn't made because it ended so nicely and I feel like most Lost fans that had would be interested in a Lost epilogue would have figured it out. I guess I just wanted more of Hurley being the man in charge. Okay that is all

i liked it. it was what it was. which was a nice little extra gift for us fans.

and then Ben gassed everyone in the Dharma Van. oh, that Ben!

So PS3 owners, anybody going to get the Move (the motion controller) next week? Until there is something cool that uses Move I'm not going to get it.

t-dot kim said...

Is it wrong...that I haven't seen this yet?

OR bought the season 6 DVDs???!?!?

PalmerEldritch said...

kim, yes. get on that shit. and buy me a copy too.

brennan, Move seems pretty cool but not cool enough to buy unless something spectacular comes up that needs it.

would have been nice to have some Desmond/Penny in that final season, eh?

andrew. said...

we did get to see the Ghost Of Desmonds Future meet Phantom Penny and "wake up" and all of that.

haven't gotten around to getting season 6 dvds either Kim. definitely will eventually, but my only motivation right now would be The Losties (when are they due by the way?!?)
at least watch "The New Man In Charge" on the youtubes. It's cute enough.

Unfortunately, Sonya Walger was probably busy with Flashforward to film more than a few scenes here and there for Lost.

If you miss Desmond, it looks like Henry Ian Cusick is going to be on the season premier of Law and Order: SVU, according to all the promo's during football on Thursday.

Check it out. Local Seattle company, Jones Soda's new BACON SODA!

I don't know if I'm late to the party, but Weezer's new album out this week is called "Hurley" and has a picture of Jorge Garcia on the cover.

So that Lost marathon is going on in London right now... It's every episode back to back for something like 3 days. I think I would be interested in going if they ever hold one in the US. How long do you think you could make it? I think I could get through season 1 but would probably call it quits with the whole Talies/Shannon dies storyline.

PalmerEldritch said...

are we allowed to discuss the LOSTies and discuss who we're thinking of voting for? or would that be tampering with the vote?

Jordan said...

Are they still planning on doing a series retrospective edition of the Losties? Because as much as I loved the amazing season 6, I'd really enjoy voting on the entire series run.

Ka-BLAM-O-o-.!!!

for those fiending for LOST action, Jay & Jack's series rewatch starts Wed.Sept.22.

personally i'm keeping warm with Venture Bros., It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, The League, Fringe, Dexter, Ace Of Cakes, Boardwalk Empire and the Steelers.

Jordan said...

My current rotation includes Mad Men, Sons of Anarchy, Always Sunny, The League, and Venture Bros. Going to check out Boardwalk Empire. Most of the upcoming new network shows look like garbage.

Oh, and for all the Fringe fans on here. I've finally relented and decided to give it a 2nd chance. I originally watched the pilot when it aired and was not a fan. But I've heard nothing but good since. I'm 8 or 9 episodes into season 1. It took a couple eps, but it seems to be starting to pick up a bit.

please let this be true:

JJ Abrams and Bad Robot shopping around Emerson/O'Quinn buddy former blackops dramedy.

Jordan said...

That would be sweet!

Now if I can only get my dream of a comedic cop drama adaptation of the comic book, Chew. Starring Miles & Sawyer. That would be so perfect, it's not even funny.

JoeSC said...

Thanks for the reminder on the Losties picks guys. Almost totally slipped my mind!

I completely that we should do a Lifetime Achievement Losties for the entire series. I'm just not sure I'm ready for a full-on rewatch, yet.

I'm psyched for the start of Season 3 of Fringe.

Jordan - around epidsode 7 or 8 of Season 1 is when it really started to get good, but it gets consistently better. I don't even think it really hit it's stride until Season 2.

The premier of Always Sunny was awesome. It's great to finally have some new TV. There's not a single new series I'm excited for, though. I'm gonna check out the first episode of The Event, but I'm not holding out much hope. I'll make sure to let everyone know how terrible it is.

... and if the studio execs had any sense, Odd Job would have started production yesterday. It would take the worst writing staff ever assembled to turn that concept into a stinker!

I've had nearly every flavor of Jones Soda, so I'm not shocked they're making bacon flavor. I'm sure it would make one hell of a marinade or tempura batter! I'll see if I can track one down.

Jordan said...

Are you sure you've tried nearly all the Jones Soda flavors? Jones was the official in-stadium soda for the Seahawks for a few years. In celebration, they released a special football themed variety pack. The flavors were Grass, Dirt, and Perspiration. Out of sheer curiousity, I tried samples outside the stadium. They tasted EXACTLY as their names suggested. Blech.

Yeah, The Event looks like a crap sandwhich. Looks like FlashForward 2.0. For the most part, all the new fall shows look pretty unappealing. The only show I think I'm adding to my rotation is Boardwalk Empire. I watched the pilot for that last night. Very promising.

I'm looking forward to starting season 2 of Fringe. People all say that is when it really found it's own. And that was when I finally started to consider that maybe it was as good as people kept saying.

"it looks like Henry Ian Cusick is going to be on the season premier of Law and Order: SVU, according to all the promo's during football on Thursday."

Will he be playing a man who fondles a woman against her wishes?

Unknown said...

Chris, the preview I saw, he was being arrested. At the very least, he'll be accused.

I watched The Event this week and wasn't really impressed. I'll give it one more week to get me hooked.

I think I might check out Undercovers tonight, mostly because it's a JJ Abrams show.

Chris JC said...

I just thought that, if that were the case, then THIS might be really pre-emptive research.

JonFromNKY said...

I wasn't overly impressed by The Event, but my expectations were low, so i kind of liked it more than I thought I would.
