On one hand... who are these emmy voters? They are not tv viewers. They watch one scene of a show they never watch and judge to see if the acting is good. On the other hand... I can't help but love award shows.

Emmerson was fucking BORING this season. That dude just got pushed around. He was pointless.

Jorge should have gotten it.

Ralph, I agree. Jorge was cramazing in the finale. (Although I don't think it matters, because in that category it's going to Aaron Paul)

Matthew Fox...meh, I like him a lot, but never thought he was an outstanding actor this season. Like Jorge, he rocked that finale

i'm not a fan of award shows. I don't find pagents interesting at all, and then on top of that, my tastes are rarely reflected in the nominees or winners.

That said, I like/watch a lot of these shows, so that's definitely an approvement over the days of LA Law or Boston Legal or Hankypanky Hospital.

The LOST nominations definitely feel like a nod to the series' legacy more than anything to do with this season. Regarding this season, Jorge was a standout and Terry O'quinn was pretty awesome as both Locke & Smokey.

Glad Breaking Bad continues to get some Emmy love. I wish Always Sunny In Philadelphia got some shine. I've been watching the reruns on Comedy Central and i love the episodes even more on the 5th or 6th viewing.

still upset that John Noble's not on that list. talented guy.

glad to see so many LOST noms though.

agree that Emerson didnt have a lot to do this past season (sadly). Garcia (no one refers to him as Garcia, eh?) was great in comedic and dramatic scenes. would have liked to see his name there somewhere.

sad to see that William Atherton didnt get nominated for Best Guest Star In the Role of an Asshole. that guy is talented at being dislikable.

good call on John Noble. That dude knocked it out of the park this season & last.

Arrested Development as an Action Movie Trailer

brilliant!

Even though I know these noms have nothing to do with a specific season or performance (Boston Legal getting a kabillion noms year after year). But what the hell did Michael Emerson do this season to get nom'd? Like Ralph said, Ben was boring as hell this year besides the one Ben-centric ep that I quite liked.

And Jorge Garcia gave an impressive effort for a guy who has always been strictly a comedic relief guy and who really isn't an amazing actor or anything. But should he have received an Emmy nom? I don't think so. To me, the good will he gets is almost all due to his likability. That and people not expecting anything from him. That's a bit different than being utterly amazing.

Like Andrew said, the noms Lost got was more of a series send off type thing than anything. The only performance from this past season I even feel was worthy of a nom was Terry O'Quinn. The job he did playing totally against his previous character was pretty great.

Breaking Bad deserves to win everything it was nominated for. And more.

Nurse Jackie? Really?

Is The Good Wife really good enough to be nom'd for best drama?

Christina Hendricks. Mmmmmmmmmm.

The Good Wife really is good, especially those that got the acting nom. Plus Emmys need something mainstream to nominate so they don't get painted by middle America as irrelevant as the Oscars.

As for the Lost noms, they definitely feel cumulative. Liz Mitchell was on the show for what, 10 minutes this season? I'm assuming she submitted The End footage not her dying for the 3rd time. I think she's great, but she should have been nominated last season. This feels like a makeup call.

OFF TOPIC:

Predators was horrible and incredibly boring. Do not go see it. It is not worth your money or time.

if anything, Inception will be pretty to look at. Predators wasn't even interesting to look at.

i'm not a big fan of DiCaprio. or Ellen Page. or Joseph Gordon-Levitt. or Tom Hardy. or Michael Caine. or Marion Cotillard. or Tom Berenger.

but Ken Watanabe and Cillian Murphy are pretty cool. and it's a Christopher Nolan movie. so, i'm tempted to check out Inception. at the least, it'll remind me of Dark City with the re-arranging landscapes.

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. is Zimmer doing the music for Inception?
