BTW I"m at 52.8% on that movie list. The Hitchcock class I took came in very handy. There were about 10 of his movies on the list.

another highly enjoyable TLI.

thanks for the DVD review. you girls are too good to me. if i were to wear a TLI thong, i'd certainly think of you two.

luckily for humanity, and any other intelligent life on this planet or any others, i'll probably never wear a thong.

but you should market a new thong at your cafepress site. the "frozen donkey thong."

hhaha. sorry kim. I've been so spaced out this week it's unbelievable. 3 massive essays, an exam and a massively drunken night out for a friend's birthday in the space of 5 days is not a good idea. I've finally finished my last essay... and i have to be awake in less than 5 hours. this is not good times at all! So it's not your fault at all, it's just me being dense!

scrdmnkydst said...

Oh, by the way, great podcast girls. I really liked it. Especially the whole "my brother got stabbed story", i was laughing out loud... but maybe that says more about me than anything :/

It just goes to show, the hiatus episodes are actually some of my favourites.

MORE HIATUS EPISODES PLEASE. (well, obviously not this year... but still. you know what i mean.)

Thanks for the comments guys on the podcast. I like the hiatus casts we do too. I was checking around online, and Aimee and I have some neat ideas for the next podcast we want to try out.

I'm looking forward to reading all of your Losties WINNERS and LOSERS.

Steph! I recieved your pkg yesterday in the mail! Whooo HOOO! Merry Christmas to me! I've just finished Season 1, and I can't decide which brother I like more on Supernatural, lol

Morning! This morning from Amazon I received the film "Wimbledon" and a Tom Baker Doctor Who serial called "The Invasion of Time", sent by someone who did not include their name.

The really weird thing is that they weren't from my wishlist, so were sent by someone who knows my address.

If it was any of you guys, thank you very much and Merry Christmas!

Stephanie said...

Chris, that Doctor Who movie was on your wishlist. Wimbledon is for Rachel. I HAD to reciprocte for the Kristen Chenoweth Christmas CD you sent me.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, p. I enjoyed recording it. Andrew was a great interviewee.

Chris JC said...

Oh! Bless you, Steph!

You're right, it was on my wishlist. I've deleted it now. Thank you very much, and Rachel thanks you too - it's the sort of thing she wouldn't have thought of getting for herself but she's a sucker for Paul Bettany so it's superb all 'round!

The Invasion of Time looks interesting - it's the other Doctor Who serial by non-existent writer "David Agnew" who also didn't exist when he wrote City of Death.

andrew. said...

Ho Ho Ho.

- Palmer, making pulled pork for 7 hours may require a consultation with your doctor

- The Mall at Christmas is like being stuck in the bathroom during your birthday party.

- i think Buffy & Angel were only good if you watched every episode from the beginning and got invested in the characters to the point where you came to appreciate the cheesy effects and terrible jokes, where Supernatural has some really fun stand alone episodes and Sam & Dean have a little more testosterone.

- working on my top 10 lists. Music was pretty easy this year, partly because there weren't that many outstanding releases. The films list is turning out to be tough though. I think i saw more movies this year than any year previous but i still have a huge list of films to catch up on, lots of late oscar-bait flicks.

- i'm making a last ditch effort at Christmas presents tomorrow. If i fall short, i'm just going to make a donation in everyone's name to the Human Fund

- Merry 1-month-to-LOST day!!!

If Charlie was in Hurley's head, why was the other patient in the hospital able to see him?
Why wasn't Jorge nominated for some kind of an award? Didn't he get a Latino award of some kind?

Stephanie said...

Palmer, that's how we do it in the South. Cholesterol doesn't scare us.

Mr. Bill said...

Great Holli,
That is why I love it so much.

memphish said...

Steph, I think that the other patient can see Charlie because the idea is that crazy people are open to those kinds of experiences or dimensions. Charlie says he's dead, but he's here. I think the O6's Island exposure make them able to see what the Island wants them to see like dreaming of Claire and Jack's dad even though most of us can't see that dimension.

The Wire complete series (5 seasons) on sale for $89!!!

Jordan said...

Just returned from 3 days up in good ol' Canada. Went snowboarding in Whistler and had the pleasure of experiencing sub zero temperatures. And I got to ride on the new peak 2 peak gondola, built for the Olympics next year, that connects Whistler mountain to Blackcomb. Wow, what a sight. A 1.8 mile ride, with the highest point above ground being 1,427 feet. And get this. The first time we went on it, the thing stopped with us dead smack in the middle at the highest point. At first we were joking around. But slowly as time passed, the entire cabin of 25 people or so got increasingly quiet. We were sitting there for about 15 minutes. I won't deny having some very scary thoughts go through my head. Finally we start back up and head toward the mountain. Only as we are rising up, it stops again. Just for a couple minutes this time. However, when it re-started this time it was going in reverse! Not exactly comforting. Eventually it stopped and we made it. What is supposed to be about an 11 minute trip ended up taking about a half hour. I asked on the people running it what happened. Turned out they were taking a cabin off for maintenance. The gondola has only been open for 1 week. And I'm not sure if you heard about one of the older gondolas breaking down at Whistler a few days ago. Quite the experience.

Then spent a day in Vancouver, one of my fave cities. It snowed a fair amount while we were there. Then I return to Seattle, which was dumped on and currently covered in snow. I cannot remember ever seeing this much snow in the city itself. It doesn't snow that often here, and when it does it's usally very light and only around for a day or so. And Seattle tends to get the least amount compared to the suburbs. But this time is insane. All of downtown Seattle is covered in about 6-8 inches of snow. And yeah, I'm sure that's child's play for you people back east. But here it's out of control. Given how this doesn't happen too often, and likewise how ill-prepared the city is to clear the roads, plus how hilly the area is, pretty much half the city is staying home. lol.

How's the weather where you guys are at? Seems most everywhere is really getting it.

memphish said...

It's cold here -- below 30 -- but no frozen precip. They say we may have freezing rain overnight, but then it's supposed to be 50 tomorrow. I'm just glad we've had a couple of sunny days. I think the gloom returns tomorrow. A typical Southern Xmas would be 50 and raining.

Holli

t-dot kim said...

Jordan, did you take any pictures of you skiing up on the mountains?

My gift for the blogspot.

Jordan said...

Holli, Detroit has the Pistons and Red Wings, who are both title contending teams. Not to mention 2 sports we don't even have. The Pistons won a title 4 years ago. The Red Wings won the Stanley Cup last year. I'd take that any day over anything my city has ever experienced, let alone this past season, which saw each and every sports team in town have one of their all time worst season in history, as well as one of them leave. That said, I can appreciate not having to actually live in Detroit though. ;)

Anybody going to go see Benjamin Button tomorrow?

memphish said...

See you're citing sports I don't give a shit about. My bad. But Detroit also has the worst season in Michigan history, and oh yeah, every business in the state will soon be shuttered, plus the mayor's in jail. And I believe it may currently be snowed in. Look for the silver lining Jordan. It's Christmas after all.

I'm interested to hear what people think of Benjamin Button before I commit. The concept creeps me out. I'm more interested in Reservation Road. I figure Marley & Me stinks really bad leading to Jennifer Anniston's recent photo shoot.

Holli

Jordan said...

All is right in Seattle. Here comes the rain.

SIGH.

Jordan said...

Reservation Road? Is that about Native Americans? I'm guessing you meant Revolutionary Road. I think that looks interesting. I don't think somebody could pay me to see Marley & Me. That looks horrible. I've heard good things about Doubt. And I still need to see Slumdog Millionaire.

Question to Holli and Steph. How would people where you guys live react to Tennessee or Alabama going 0-12? Cuz that's what happened to UW this year. And while people here were less than enthused, I can only imagine what would happen in the south where they fire coaches over going 6-6. I figure there would be riots and lynchings.

Anybody here planning on sending in an mp3 to Kim & Aimee for the Losties? I'm thinking about it, but I don't want to be the only one and look like an idiot.

See how much I care about the movies. I can't even name them. :-p

I'll tell you how much we like losing at football Jordan. All you got to do is look at the fired Philip Fulmer and Tommy Tuberville. Losing sucks as this Auburn fan can attest. And I knew about UW. Have to say I was pulling for WSU in the Crapple Cup. I've always liked their logo.

I'm looking out for the Losties. No time. Got to get through tomorrow, then I've get to get all Xmas put up so we can head for the beach on Saturday afternoon.

That Wazzu comment just dropped you a couple notches in my book Holli. Sorry, just the way it is. ;)

Yeah, If Phil Fulmer won a title at UW and had a 150-50 record, he would be allowed to coach until he died.

Anybody remember when Kimberley said submissions were due?

submissions are due sometime in january. so, there's still time to get lost from santa and then rewatch your favorite episodes before weighing in on the losties.

Jordan, Alabama will never, ever go 0-12. The Alumni would never allow it. We might have the highest infant mortality rate in the country but the University of Alabama will not have a losing season.

Brits do the strangest things at Christmas, like putting this man on TV.

The Bugle podcast will love it.

Why is Ahmadinejad trying to suck up to Britain?

It cracks me up that Ben looks like he's having a seizure.

I just started watching Tropic Thunder. So far it's kind of funny in a Zoolander kind of way.

I'm still a bigger fan of Anchorman.

I just started watching a show called Testees. I'm just halfway through 1st episode.

Monstrously funny show!"

OMG, Mr Bill. That is sick. I can't believe they can show that on tv. Wow.
