So ready for tonight. Not in a I have big expectations kind of way, more in a this time of year is batshit crazy busy and I want to sit for an hour and watch TV I enjoy kind of way.
My family has cleared the way for me on Sunday -- I think. We always have family dinner that night, but my in-laws will have been out of town all week, so dinner is in a different locale, I'm not going, and Hubby and Son know that when they get home they are not to speak to me. Hubby also says he's taking the Kid to school the next day. Now we'll just see if it plays out that way.
Now THAT's how to rev people up w/info w/out spoiling them. Nice words Ralph! VERY psyched!
I just realized - the only downside to watching the finale in Vegas on Sunday is that it won't be on a DVR - I'm definitely putting the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door and getting some room service delivered well before 7pm.
damon lindelof likes this here fan made trailer which i find both annoying and awesome.
i sort of dont care about the jacob/mib thing as much as i do about our LOSTies. ok. make that desmond and penny. but the LOSTies too. and the trailer focuses a lot on Jacob/MIB. but the John Locke voice over stuff is pretty badass.
i miss our John Locke. :(
sounds like tonight's LOST should be most excellent. good stuff! nice to hear that they remembered Ben and Wet Desmond.
The listener's calls this week has lessened my hostility toward Across the Sea. As I watched I couldn't find a reason for "Brother" to be evil incarnate. After hearing Thomas explain that "Brother" may have not been evil but he is after becoming the human log flume. That makes perfect sense. I feel better. I can now sleep at night. Bring on "What They Died For". I'm back on board.
Listening to podcasts at times made me feel better about Across the Sea and other times pointed out how ridiculous it was. I think thematically it had a lot of good ideas, but the execution of them was pretty darn bad. I'm ready to forget the episode exists and move on.
Matthew Fox on Letterman last night was extremely pointless. Neither of them seemed to want to be there. I did note Fox had Episode 1.1 hair. Which could mean something, nothing, or that his kids got lice at school.
Yeah, Holli. Liz Lemon would be very jealous of you.
I'm stoked for tonight's ep. And not just because Ralph has assured us that it doesn't blow. But because I have the utmost faith in the writers' ability to put on a kick ass awesome finale. They almost never disappoint, and are always a ton of fun. And the episode leading up is usually great as well as the set up.
I think that is a part of why I hated Across the Sea so much. Well besides it totally sucking and being lame. But the episode prior very much felt like a pre-finale build up ep. Where all the characters were moving around the island. All the pieces were being set in place for whatever big that is going to take place at the end. And then out of nowhere you have a big steaming pile of crap derail you the good time train. Ugh.
But I'm over it. I got my hate on and then some for that episode. On to the good stuff!!!
Aimee, just pretend that it is Roger Workman's old beer.
Kelly Jo, Me and stevi discussed the episode and made sure our excitement wasn't due to the fact that it was on a big screen in a huge hall surrounded by the actors. We talked about each scene and they were ALL good.
The on island stuff is great, the off island stuff is so fucking fun!
I know this is a spoiler free zone, but i have a juicy tidbit from tonight's episode!
Jack puts his milk in a glass pitcher as opposed to just using the container it came in.
I mean, who the hell does that? Doesn't it make your milk all gross? Wouldn't you rather have it stay fresh in the container? I guess the doctor is always right.
"why are you spoiling people about lost on scottandsteve? might not be saying what happens. but saying stuff like desmond is bad ass is mildy spoilerish. "
As I said previously, I think what you said was a perfect psych-up Ralph. If that constitutes a spoiler to someone, then I think they need to stay off the internet for LostTuesday (if you want that level of radio silence about each episode).
Also - regarding the pitcher of milk thing - I've known people who pour all their beverages into other containers for storage in the fridge. I guess it's supposed to be Martha Stewart-y or something. My argument was always that you're not being 'green' by using another container and then having to wash that container. But mostly b/c its a pain in the ass, and makes people silently wonder "why the hell do you do that?"
I never was able to successfully extend that argument to DRINKING out of the original container tho - lol.
I guess it makes some sense if you are having a dinner party and know you will be using up all the milk and it would look silly to just put out the container, but this is not the case in the show.
By the way i have always gone Radio silence on new lost tuesdays starting at 6pm my time. But today i will be on the blogspot as soon as it starts for all of you on the east coast
hell yes, vincent was with Rose and Bernard in 1977. but was he killed when the TimeFuckers blew the shit out of that bomb and then the Island sank? or is he in the original timeline hanging out on the beach like the canine Richard Alpert?
vincent. alive in our universe or dead in the alterna-verse? crap. i didnt even know that Schrödinger even had a dog.
Alls I know is I better get me some Juliet. I've been going through withdrawls. Hell, I even tried to watch V the other night. YUCK! That wasn't a good idea.

BTW, this is fan art, so don't take Eko's presence in the poster to mean he's supposed to appear on the show.

House is partially decorated; food & beer is purchased. Dharma Initiative swag is finished.
Being the spoiler free guy, it's crazy that i have a pocket full of spoilers for this episode.
I can honestly say that nobody will be disappointed in this episode. I think that even Jimmy will enjoy it.
I actually can't wait to see it again.
Am I going to cry, Ralph?
Nope. You are going to cheer.
Your boys (desmond and ben) totally shine!! They are both the most badass in this episode.
They became my favorites along with Hurley.
They own this episode like nobody's business!!
You said the magical D word. I'm very psyched now. Not that I wasn't before, but it seems like ages since he was around.
Now THAT's how to rev people up w/info w/out spoiling them. Nice words Ralph! VERY psyched!

Thomas has been a fun addition to the lineup of awesome TLI callers we've had.
I think I heard Foxie had an interview in Playboy. Or was it Playgirl? Anyone know anything about it?
I really like Playgirl's insightful and probing articles.
Suddenly I have gotten very emotional today about Lost.
LOOOOOST!
listening to some last minute TLI. good stuff.
silently freaking out about tonight's LOST.
holli, that's a good family that'll avoid you during the LOST finale. :)
I hope your right Ralph
Okay, pre-Finale party foul:
Cases of beer in the back of my SUV that I've been too lazy to bring inside the house for almost a week.
Aimee hits a bump on her way back to work, some bottles get loose, and spray the back of my interior.
So now my car officially smells like Heineken.
Yeah, Holli. Liz Lemon would be very jealous of you.

penultimate episode meals?
haggis in honor of mr hume?
kimchi in honor of sun and jin?
fried chicken in honor of hurley?
dural sack in honor of jack?
Beer.
That's a meal, right?
Please don't make any references to "eating" and "sack" when talking about Jack Shephard. Blarf.

It's classy.
I bet it's the reason he's divorced. Who wants to clean up after that.
Holli
he lactates it himself.
JUST LIKE JACOB.
someone asks way too many LOST questions. jeez.
someone on formspring.me said...
"why are you spoiling people about lost on scottandsteve? might not be saying what happens. but saying stuff like desmond is bad ass is mildy spoilerish. "
Who the heck thinks this is considered spoiling?
It is not spoilery to say that something is awesome or badass - because that's a matter of opinion.
And when used in reference to Desmond, it's a given anyway.
Verdict: not guilty.
That's what i said. Desmond has been so great in all of the Flash Sideways junk this season and tonight's is no different.

Yay! I get to celebrate the finale with one of the original Podfathers!
dylan in town, aimee? nice. feed that guy some dharma food.
ALMOST TIME FOR LOOOOOST!!!
Aimee - I feel your pain. Nothing worse than a flat Heinie! (Just ask Sir Mix-A-Lot)
LOSTuesday dinner is beer and a giant ham sandwich (how appropriate)!
I've never felt anxiety about an episode of LOST like I have about tonight's. I can't even imagine how I'm gonna feel by Saturday night.
It's like the feeling you get knowing a relative is about to die but all you can do is sit around and wait.
Ralph - Awesome job hyping the episode PLUS you're hanging around to shoot the shit with the East Coasters?
Fan-fucking-tastic!
...and I am totally taking off work on Monday. There is no way I'd be able to get anything done if I was there!
I am not trying to hype it too much, but for those who hated last week's episode, can rest easy. It made me totally forget about "Across the Sea".
I think I'm gonna hurl from anticipation.
Speaking of Chile Biscuit...
What are the odds we see Vincent one more time before it's all done? Not necessary, but I think it would be kinda cool.
Don't you know the show ends with Vincent waking up from a dream? Duh.
Joe you should put toothpicks in your sandwich.
Holli
I'm fairly certain that we'll see Vincent before all is said and done. Does anyone recall when we last saw him? Was he with Rose & Bernard?
Also, It's fairly safe to assume that Juliet is going to show up, right? She's gotta get that cup of coffee with Sawyer.
Vincent was last seen with RoseNard in the Incident.
It's not a sandwich without toothpicks.
T-minus 30 minutes!
hell yes, vincent was with Rose and Bernard in 1977. but was he killed when the TimeFuckers blew the shit out of that bomb and then the Island sank? or is he in the original timeline hanging out on the beach like the canine Richard Alpert?

oh, and for people who aren't into old timey physics references, here's yet another LOST related post from io9.com
a metric buttload of LOST audition tapes featuring our favorite LOST actors.
Alls I know is I better get me some Juliet. I've been going through withdrawls. Hell, I even tried to watch V the other night. YUCK! That wasn't a good idea.
I warned you Jordan!
Holli
Getting that time. Alright East coast. See you on the other side. Enjoy!
