Hopefully this won't affect the show. Also, i'm hoping for some Desmond & Penny story in the finale, he hasn't really been in much this season (that's what she said!). Finally, any ideas on how the whole Frank/Ilana story will play into things? Reckon we'll see an expansion on the scene from The Little Prince..
1) Kate, Sawyer & Juliet will somehow end up back on the island. I don't know how, but I just don't see them staying in Ann Arbor.
2) A major death. My money is still riding on Juliet.
I haven't a clue what's going on with Ilana & the big mystery crate! I wish Lapidus' character would be more important though; I like him, so I hope we don't see him as a casualty. But Lost finales are big on death counts, especially since last year (they had I believe 15 deaths in total in S4 finale).
The one thing that would truly piss me off, is if they have an "alleged" major death where we're left wondering if the person is dead or not, waiting for season 6 to start to find out. Like with Jin. I wasn't buying that death. Close the eyelids or no dice!
Im really excited about it! but i dread the final scene cause i know it will leave us hanging for 9 months lol. i predict the death tonight will def be:
I don't think the producers are clueless enough to think they could ill Sawyer or Hurley without losing a huge amount of viewers (mainly female ones). I'm gonna have to agree with Aimee, it seems like all signs point to Juliet as the next death, not that I want to see her go, it just seems the most likely. Phil is DEFINITELY a goner, no one slaps Sawyers woman and gets away with it. Also i'm 99% sure it won't happen but I would love to see Radzinsky die, of all the continuity errors, I would be happy to let it slide.
I would rather see Radzinsky suffer at the hands of Kelvin than killed in the crossfire of some gunfight. That man needs to suffer.
Sawyer is safe, he has to be. Hurley, I could see being a casualty, but his character is so likable, and he's the fan favorite, I don't think the writers would be stupid enough to kill him, regardless of their artistic integrity to storytelling.
ABC has continually "lost" ratings for this show; each year it drops about 15%. I don't think the suits would take the risk of killing the fan favorite and losing an even larger chunk of the audience. There's probably a clause in the writer's contract that makes certain people untouchable.
I'm not really bothered how Radzinsky dies, I would just like to SEE it. Fingers crossed for a swan hatch flash forward! I've always seen Hurley as one of the most untouchable cast members because I can't really see how they could actually kill a character like him. I just can't imagine him in a serious death scene.
Actually now you mention him, I could actually see it being Sayid. He's a bigger fan favourite than Juliet and doesn't really have much of a story left, with Nadia dead. If he does go, it better be in true Sayid/Chuck Norris style and if he isn't being killed off we still best have a Sayid moment in this finale.
lol you are right it can be sayid, and he is def a fan favorite. and god i wish Radzinsky a slow torture from sayid before getting trapped in his tomb(swan)to finally die, i think kelvin killed him the first week they got there ha ha . now thats a flashback that we have to see
Jamie, I'm right up there with you. Sayid has nothing left to lose; that's why he's following Jack right now. In his own words, if they fail, it'll at least put them out of their misery. No one has more cause to suffer than Sayid. But if he is indeed killed, nothing short of a glorious death is befitting him.
im pretty bored too, i cant wait to go home! at least im off tomorrow so i can re watch the finale and watch u girls live on ustream. lol that didnt sound right ha hah aha
For anyone who has been frustrated for the last 4-5 hours that the TLI Spoilers podcast was not appearing in iTunes - it should be fixed now (thanks to Aimee and Kim who responded to my email call for 'HEEELLLLLPPP')
- LOSTNESDAY!! i listened to TLI on my commute. omigosh, spoilers for The Sixth Sense!
- - ooh. final shot idea. Jack & company detonate Jughead. everything goes bright. Full shot of the island with a shockwave and mushroom cloud billowing out, but you continue to pull out through a passenger jet window to Jack & company sitting on 815 at cruising altitude enjoying a mid-flight beverage getting hit with slight turbulence. buckle seat belt sign dings on. LOST
i can't believe i forgot the part where CINDY leans over and offers Jack another drink!
- query: how did Faraday find out about the incident ahead of time? Is there another character from the future hanging out in 1977? in Michigan maybe?
- character death prediction... Jack & Kate become Adam & Eve this episode. They set up the bomb to go off and crawl into the cave together, profess their love to eachother and wait to die.
- i bet we see Claire again tonight. Damon & Carlton said that they view the finale as an opportunity to set up the next season and i think the audience could use a reminder about the best mom to ever grace the island (which is a sad, sad statement but probably true. You could argue that Amy might be a good mom but that Ethan turned out to be a murderin' lil' stinker so she must messed up at some point.) I think Claire will be chillin' in Jacob's cabin when Locke & Alpert & Ben get there (and she'll still be all highed up). Oh wait. What if Claire isn't dead but posessed like Montand. hmmm...
- I DO NOT recommend Next Day Air. It is not the loveable buddy comedy with Turk & Mos Def that the commercials portray it to be. It reminded me of Smokin' Aces where it set up a silly movie and then tried to deliver Scarface.
who's this new Oklahaimee girl? what a sexy name. whoever thought that up should totally get some free bacon or something. ;)
was it a sexy fun time dream about Jorge?
LOSTNESDAY! what are you all eating, folks?
i had a brain thinking a bit back. then forgotted. d'oh.
let's see...
Mrs. Hawkins... decides that she has to/should help DannyBoy, so is that a sign that whatever the end result of helping Jack is is beneficial in some way to Mrs. Hawkins?
something like that was my question or conclusion. but my brain melted this morning while doing work stuff. so, stick that idea in your brains and process it for awhile until it makes sense.
Lets all DVR this Sshit! And watch in August, cut down on the drought and all? Enjoy, Wallow in it! I know I will, on the second time around. The first time I will be looking at the clock I will add I don't want any deaths. But there are 2 I think might go:( One chills with Romeo the other, lets say would bang Juliet, and get kicked in the face and cuffed, later.
Whatdya think? HOW will Kate, Sawyer, and Juliet get back to the island (whether in the finale or next season)?
Do the 3some convince the crew to turn around? Is there a accident on the sub and they have to return?
Do Kate and Juliet team up and use their extensive motor pool knowledge to commandeer the sub?
Any thoughts?
Oh, yeah... I think Hurley just might be the one to stop Jack with some last minute heroics. He is going to pull out something (gun, explosives, Eko's Jesus stick, sappy letter from Christian) out of the guitar case and stop Jack. But maybe he ends up sacrificing himself in the process...:(

Whatever they do on that sub, they've got less than 2 hours to get back and stop Jack so i'm thinking Kate isn't gonna waste much time convincing Juliet and Sawyer to return. I think once she explains that if Jack is successful it would mean Sawyer and Juliet never get together, they commandeer that sub back to the island.
Completley forgot about Hurley, Miles and Jin, but I don't think any of them will go along with Jacks plan. I reckon we'll get more from Miles/Chang and maybe even finally get to see how he loses his arm...
1) Big ass battle between Dharma and the Others. Radzinsky uses the map that Sawyer drew for him to hunt down the Others at their camp. Ellie continues her "shoot first, ask questions later" tactics and blows out Phil's acorn-sized brain. Sometime during all the fracas, Lil' Ben "escapes" and returns to the Dharmies and begins his infiltration of the D.I.
2)By the end of the episode Richard reveals that he knows more than he lets on. The Others stop calling him "Mascara Dick" and now refer to him as "Phat Alpert."
In the case of a person who has had only part of their body irradiated then the treatment is easier, as the human body can tolerate very large exposures to the non-vital parts such as hands and feet, without having a global effect on the entire body. For instance, if the hands get a 100 Gy dose which results in the body receiving a dose (averaged over the entire body of 5 Gy) then the hands may be lost but radiation poisoning would not occur. The resulting injury would be described as localized radiation burn.
If there's any justice, Phil will meet his maker courtesy of Sawyer.
"What lies in the shadow of the statue?" Hmm, i'm thinking Ilana and co are gonna encounter Locke mid mission. My theory Jacobs final resting place is in the shadow of the statue...
I'm still going with the Donkey Wheel (and the temporal energy that it's attached to AND the Orchid station) being the thing that is in the shadow of the statue. Perhaps it is also the final resting place for Jacob if he is actually killed (and more importantly - a real person who CAN be killed).
I'm going to go further and predict that Ilana & Co.'s mission (or part of it) is to stop the island from drifting through time & space - which I think it does (I don't remember this specifically being said but I'm assuming it does since they built the Lampost to continually locate it).
I have been thinking that the whatever that energy is that the Donkey wheel is attached to, is probably the reason why the island drifts - it puts the island in a state of temporal/spacial flux (which would give the island the CAPACITY of temporal FLUX, thus making it a FLUX CAPACITOR!!! :D )
If they are Dharma as I think they are, I imagine they want to "lock" the island down, so it more easily accessible. And whatever is in the crate is supposed to help them control or contain the temporal energy that causes it to drift.
I have high hopes for this finale. There are up to like 102-103 episodes counting tonight? And then just 16 episodes (more or less) to conclude the story. I think most (if not all) of season 6 will feel like a finale. So tonight, I am hoping for some 'big bangs' - Whiskey Tango Foxtrot type moments.. that will leave us hanging as bad as the season 1 finale. How sweet was that season 2 payoff?? I hope that season 6 will be even sweeter...
SAYID = Dead KATE = Dead HURLEY = El Mariachi ROSE & BERNARD = Bickering as usual MILES = Dead LOCKE = Pussies Out! JACOB = WALT! SUBMARINE = FAKE JACK = Dead CHARLIE 1 = Alive Desmond = Back on the island BEN = Vincent SUN & JIN Together = Tears ME = Excited and sad for the hiatus

FUCK, this is the last "pre-episode" discussion we're going to have for like, 9 months.
On the plus side it's the last hiatus.

I watched Jorge Garcia on Jimmy Fallon last night. Jorge tells a hilarious story about - you guessed it - HAM.

sawyer or hurley.
both really sad
I don't think the producers are clueless enough to think they could ill Sawyer or Hurley without losing a huge amount of viewers (mainly female ones). I'm gonna have to agree with Aimee, it seems like all signs point to Juliet as the next death, not that I want to see her go, it just seems the most likely. Phil is DEFINITELY a goner, no one slaps Sawyers woman and gets away with it. I say nobody dies. Just a hunch.
Dude, Jorge is a talented actor.
That would be a weak finale without any deaths. Dude.
For the love of Jacob, I am so bored at work! I have nothing to do, no one to train, and no one is keeping me busy on the blogspot. Blimey!
Fuck it, I'm going home.
P.S. I totally had a dream last night about Jorge.

Do you think Hurley has told Jin about meeting Ji Yeon?
Holli
strangely, Jin doesn't seem to give two shits about Ji-Yeon.
of course, neither does Sun. oops.
Has Jin even asked about Sun since Nameste? Not to mention Sun is beginning to turn into Michael with her one track Jin record...
Jin doesn't seem to give two shits about Ji-Yeon
Has Jin even asked about Sun since Nameste?
lol - true say. However, how many lines of dialogue has Jin (DDK) HAD since Namasté - like 4? (I have no idea really)
Batshit theory of the day:
Jacob is a common ancestor to all the surviving 815ers
No idea (truly) where that came from - just popped into my noggin

what if Pierre Chang loses his arm to radiation while defusing Jughead?
does it work like that?
According to Wikipedia:
In the case of a person who has had only part of their body irradiated then the treatment is easier, as the human body can tolerate very large exposures to the non-vital parts such as hands and feet, without having a global effect on the entire body.
