:D seriously, it's mindless chatter. Enjoy mes amis
Awesome. The nonlost podcasts from last year are some of my favourites. MOAR NONLOST PODCASTS PLZ.
/4chan. :/
I know, it is a nice surprise. I'm actually surprised it only took me a week to post it--not a month (or 2) like the last couple :P
Oh my, some half decent tunes on this one kim! i say half decent, more mainstream stuff that caters to my mainstream side... I wouldn't have thought that you knew these, like lily allen and Robyn...
Yeah! TLI while I wait for Dharma to want me.
Holli
OCTA-BLAMMO!!!
NEW TLI?!?!?! SWEET!
listening immediately
OMG - just as Kim was saying "I bet everyone listening just googled wisdom teeth..." - indeed I totally was.
YEEEEEEEEEEEESHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
be warned!
Ewwwwwwwwwwww
Twelfth!
Smooth. I'd better get off this DS and onto a computer so I can hear it.
Season 5 begins filming today with Spanish speakers according to Ryan. That could have been yesterday now that I think about it. Regardless, filming is underway.
yo puedo entender espanol!
si ellos hablan muy lentamente.
i hope all this spanish doesnt mean a crossover with the blunder twins from Heroes.
Somebody please tell me why Weeds sucked so bad last night?
...KABLAMO
I had my wisdom teeth surgically removed when I was a kid. The anesthesia made me sick. I remember waking up and puking up blood. My jaws were swollen for days. Not very pleasant. They could grow back.
I've got my wisdom teeth coming through at the moment. Only one of them would possibly be able to be taken out without surgery. as the rest stopped growing and haven't surfaced through the gums prperly.
JOY.
nineteenth bitches!
about to start listening now...
my wisdom teeth removal wasn't too horrible 2 were taken out the good old fashioned way and the other one had to be surgically removed since it hadn't and wasn't gonna fully come out. i still have one because it decided to take the place of another tooth i had taken out a while back. had all 3 removed at once on a friday afternoon and spent the next 2 days after that constantly knocked out on pain meds.
i couldn't help it! i just googled "wisdom teeth" and went on to page 2 to see the wisdom tooth + jaw bone. lol.
The interesting thing about wisdom teeth is that, through the process of evolution (apologies to creationists), during the last few generations it's becoming more common for people to be born who do not develop them at all - being as they are a holdover from a previous form anyway, it makes sense.
It's just interesting to see evolution in action like this. I have so far reached the age of 31 without them presenting themselves. Have I escaped? Am I on the next rung of human evolution?
Cos, if I am, I think I'd have traded a wisdom tooth extraction operation for the ability to fling metal about with my mind, a cool laser vision, or a healing factor.
Never mind.
Also, watch me very painfully eat these words whenever they do show up.
mine starting showing up early, by the time i was 16 they were out about 75% of the way. so apparently i'm the complete opposite of chris, who doesn't have them at all.
Although, in the interests of balance, the website of Creation Science Evangelism thinks that I am wrong.
In fact, they go so far as to call me stupid - which is just plain rude.
i've been given a TLI mission.
and just to be clear, i didn't purchase a pole after the pole dancing class. although, my friend does have one in her bedroom, i might have to go pole dance on that with my TLI shirt.
That Creation Science Evangelism site is quite interesting, actually...
"The Bible says that Noah was to bring on board every "kind" [of animal]. So rather than differentiating between twenty-seven different species of fox, perhaps Noah only took two foxes on board, which later produced the many species of fox we see today."
Erm... isn't that evolution?
Anyway - sorry about that. I'm not trying to insult anyone. I just don't see why a belief in God and a belief in evolution can't co-exist. I'm sure many people manage to balance the two, in terms of "intelligent design". And anyway, doesn't the fact they can adapt their whole beings to new environments and challenges make the creations of God more impressive?
The only problem trying to balance these two beliefs is that you kind of have to write at least some of the events of the Bible off as a little fanciful or even untrue.
Sorry about that - getting into a bit of a religious tizz. Please feel free to ignore me.
We await Ally's pole antics.
We're still waiting.
I realise I might be being a bit impatient here.
chris is a prolific poster today.
if you want some creationist fun, check out Kirk Cameron's website or youtube videos.

//cool first name though
I haven't listened to TLI yet, but for what it's worth, I had my wisdom teeth removed at age 13. What's more I also had 4 bicuspids removed. I have 8 (that's one of the numbers) less teeth than you are supposed to have.
Getting ready to go see Tropic Thunder in under 1 hour. I feel even less guilty about it as I do not have to make dinner tonight because Hubby has a meeting. What's more it's cloudy outside so it's a perfect day for sitting in a movie theater. (There -- justified!)
A trailer for a book featuring Damon Lindelof and Brian K. Vaughn. Since when do books get trailers? I've read one of this guy's novels and I think Hubby's read some others. Sounds interesting.
Holli
i'll see what kind of pole antics i can come up with. hopefully i won't end up all bruised up like kim.
All this bible talk is confusing me.
leave it to us to combine pole dancing, bible talk and wisdom teeth into one conversation.
DOH!
Finished listening to TLI on the way to work - Kim reminds me that I did say I was going to come up with a design for new shirts didn't I? :)
I'm wondering if the whole purple-sunset design them should be worked in, or if it should be something completely new. Also wondering whether to go with "TLI - That's what She Said" or "TLI - Namaste Bitches!"
I'm not a graphic designer so this may take a few drafts...
i'll put in my vote and say go with "Namaste Bitches!"
it's more TLI-like. let me know if you need any help, MB. maybe together we can create something glorious!!
/twss.
thanks for posting!!!! i cant wait to listen
people won't be able to find us on blogspot.com/scottandsteve!
LOL.
Thanks Ally - I forgot - that's what you do isn't it? :)
I'll email you re: ideas either today or tomorrow.
I think we should all have a go at a logo, then put them together into some kind of logo quilt for T-shirts.
I suck, but at least I can make massive PDFs.
that's a cool idea, chris. not the quilt thing, but all of us working together to create what will be known as the best t-shirt there ever was.
my email has changed, i probably told you but don't remember, so here it is for anyone who wants it.

cat-blamo!
grammatically speaking, would it be "Namaste, bitches" as opposed to "Namaste bitches?"
Or "Namasté, bitches!"

I has killed Blogspot?
Palmer - that's the thing - I think if we use the phrase it should maybe be with out punctuation so that it could be read multiple ways. Does that make sense?
Chris - cool ideas - I'm thinking though that it should look logo-ish. not necessarily using the current design elements, but something that you'd catch from a distance.
The Jumbo-tron thing is cracking me up though - lol
As a result of this thread, GMail is now suggesting I try Sensodyne toothpaste.
All the others were from generators listed on the ever-entertaining:
The Generator Blog.
I've used Sensodyne - just don't get the "Original" flavor - (GAG)
I like "Namasté, Bitches!"
Back from Tropic Thunder. I enjoyed it. I'll go over to the BBS to discuss in more detail.
Holli
Test your killer instinct. Mine was only 27%.
Holli
Holli, I'm 27% too. I guess we're somewhat normal :P
Kim -- either that or we cheated!
Holli
oh! hey!
kim! save the BBS from teh spam.
huh, mb. i only got a 31%. what kind of freaky stuff did you type into those text boxes?!
0%
Suck that bitches.
- 20%. this is the most sane i've felt all day!
- Stephanie, i haven't watched Weeds yet. i really liked last week, so now i'm apprehensive.
- Generation Kill wraps up this coming Sunday. I'm really glad i watched it, and i think it was exceptionally well made, but i'm not entirely sure what it was trying to do. There's too much of an editorial bias for it to be completely realistic, and the characters seem underdeveloped for a drama, yet it was engaging & thought provoking. I'm kind of happy with my ambivalence.
- I'm voting for the comma. "Namaste, Bitches!" is just funnier to me. Other readings seem too crude, although it would be kind of funny if Kim & Aimee refered to themselves as the Namaste Bitches for a whole podcast.
i got 0% as well. am i too normal?
This morning, the "last 10 posts" on the forum consisted of nine spambots, and me. It's getting to be unusable, while is a shame. Never mind.
Killer Instinct Test open ...
...
...
0% !?
That can't be right - I'm a fucking nutter.
Ally, This one's for you in particular.
Holli
that's perfection, holli. i would've never thought of that. a co-worker was walking by as i was reading it and he said "planning another one already? who's the victim?"
My Killer Instinct results were 47%...
crickets?
Yeah, I thought so...
Stay tuned for my attempt at a TLI logo on the morrow...
i guess the polite canadian thing is just a disguise.
THE MAPLE SYRUP MURDERER.
i tried writing psychotic things into the entry form to see how high i could get the percentage to go. i don't think i beat 47% (twss?).
I just listened to the podcast and as always was really funny.
You ladies are really bedazzling!
Both of my wisdom teeth were pulled out at the same time and I took one day off work and that was it. I guess I was lucky.
I was browsing around the internets and found this Book it looked like a cool read so I picked it up at amazon. I thought it might be something youz bloggerz might like.
I got 30% but what is scary is Big Ed got 81% - a true psychopath.
I got 0% but I do own a van.
I'm reading 2001: A Space Odyssey in preparation for a podcast on the movie.
A very deep movie and the book seems to fill in some of the blanks but not all.
I'm about 2/3 of the way in.
Gee Mr. Bill I bet if you'd seen a van in one of those ink blots you would have ranked higher. And Steph, I'm a bit scared for you, or rather for any old flames that might rear their head in your life.
Holli
Crap! Missed the 69 Kablamo with Kablather.
Holli
I just saw robots and a elf faces.
Too much sci-fi and world of
warcrack. lol
About reviewing 2001 - in my experience all you have to do is make a sort of "uhh" noise to imply you didn't really like it, and then go about your day.
That psychopath test clearly doesn't know about my collection of little shoes.
Oh, and that reminds me...
Russell Crowe as Bill Hicks?
Do Not Want.
If you're absolutely gonna do a Hicks Flick (to capitalise on that "iconic dead comedian dollar" mentioned in the comments field of that link), then perhaps some form of comedian might be the way to go. Who knows - if it actually gets made (and whoever stars in it) I'll be happy... and hoping... to be proved wrong.
Russell Crowe is 44
Bill Hicks died aged 32

RE: OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF TESTING
Namaste.
Today is the most wonderful of days.
It marks the launch of the Dharma Initiative's Volunteer Recruitment Program.
Having completed the eligibility test you can now download your official Dharma Initiative ID card. Simply go to My Profile and download your card. Carry it with pride.
Today you will also be able to commence our extensive testing program that will assess your suitability for a range of research roles within the Dharma Initiative.
Many years ago I was asked to help rebuild this noble community of scientific inquiry. With its genuinely altruistic vision, I understood that a vibrant volunteer cohort would be a fundamental part of this effort.
Together, with my dedicated recruiting team, I have searched the globe for the best and brightest to join us, to form the foundations of the newly reconstituted Dharma Initiative.
Today we lay that foundation. So that together we can guide the world to a better tomorrow.

Palmer, you beat my receipt of that actual Dharma email by about twenty minutes. Kudos!
Although - the site is back to its old tricks. It doesn't normally take three minutes to be told your login has failed...
i eventually logged in, chris. i'm scoring 50s and 57s on the first test but its not recording my scores. yay?
ooh... recorded my 50 score since it is lower. time to beat my score (thats what HE said).
third try got me a 72. that's more like it.
which its not recording. awesome.
Mother UKers, what in the blue hell is up with Old Greg?
Typing with difficulty with right index finger bandaged b/c I sliced it pretty nicely last night on a tin can lid in my recycling bin :(
Is the Hoppening migrating to other body parts? Aaaa!
The Clappening?
What do y'all think about this title for my podcast?
Confessions of an Internet Addict
I think I like it. But let me obsess for a while and I'll think it's lame.
i really dont want to think about what parts the "Clap"pening would effect.
ew.
- hey everybody. get off of dharmawantsyou.com. it's my turn.
- i'm starting to think that maybe the blogspotters as a whole are just accident prone in general.
- caught Pineapple Express last night. It was a fun film. I really liked James Franco, which was nice turn from wanting to sock him every time he was on the screen in the Spiderman movies.
- srsly, my turn.
lol Ally
indeed i think the Clappening may be an entirely different kind of epidemic
Old Greg would be a character from one episode of initially refreshingly weird, but increasingly desperately "kerrazy" comedy series The Mighty Boosh.
Some say he's half man, half fish. Others say it's more of a 70/30 split. Whatever the percentage, he's one fishy bastard.
You may recognise Noel Fielding as "Richmond" the goth from behind the Red Door in "The IT Crowd".
The really observant might recognise Julian Barratt, the other chap in the boat, as both The Padré from Darkplace (hello again, Mr. Bill) and as a bloke lighting a cigarette in a series 1 episode of Look Around You (Sulphur).
thanks for the Old Greg info.
as weird as that dude is, i do like Bailey's.
"I GOT A MANGIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINAAAAAAAAAA"
/old gregg.
Have a look at this:
That's as close as you can get to Baileys without your eyes getting wet.
wow! i'm so freakin' bored right now.
i just realized i'm wearing that shirt today --->
Old Greg - wow - hilariously uncomfortable :D
Reminds me of The Chicken Lady
I can see where you'd get the KITH Chicken Lady comparison.
I always preferred Mr Susan of the Mirrorworld.
But why was Boosh Season 3 so lame?
The Dodos at 100 Club last week were awesome. And I saw Wall-E to kill some time in Croydon yesterday - genius.
Also 2 docs on TV to recommend: The Devil and Daniel Johnston and In The Shadow Of The Moon.
TLI was good chat - especially festival stories.
um... it's an answering machine?
been a few streets away from there. recommend Darleen's for sandwiches.
Oh well...I thought it was a funny answering machine.lol
i still haven't been able to get on dharma wants you.
what a load of bollocks.
hmmm... what did it used to be?
as in, what kind of hilarity used to be on the answering machine?
I'm an idiot I typed the wrong #
603-413-4133.
Sorry!
Well, the house didn't burn down. The electrician said that our outlets are really old, and replaced the one that shorted. The side of the receptacle is black, and he pointed at it and said, "This could have been a whole lot worse". He told us to replace all of the outlets in our house when we get a chance. There's 40 of them.
On an unrelated note, my computed had a complete meltdown again Sunday night. 2nd in 2 months. So my new Mac Book pro is on the way......
Time to do that killer test. 75%, maybe?
hehehehehehehehehhe. that's awesome that you typoed the number. glad the couple didnt pick up!!!
Dear Trevor,
Glad you're not dead.
Sincerely,
The Blogspot
Thanks for covering for all of us Palmer!
Holli
Palmer, that would have been really really funny!
I deleted the post with the wrong number.
Trev, that's pretty scary. Keep your feet away from all those outlets till they are fixed. lol
Speak for yourself, Palmer! After that 47% killer instinct test result I've decided to try and be more murderous.
How's The Murderous Montrealer sound?
Seriously though, get those outlets fixed tomorrow. Don't let cost or convinience be at the root of a devestating loss.
Glad to hear you're getting a new MacBook Pro.
I'm doing my best to wait for the rumoured new MacBooks next month.
Aimee, please do something about the spam on the forum. Somebody call the TLI line and try to urge someone with some power to fix this problem.
- haven't been able to get onto Dharmawantsyou yet either. I think Holli may have the right idea giving up on the ARG. If they have this kind of trouble every time they try to do something then this is going to be frustrating the whole way through.
- if'n somebody gives me administrator function on the myokm board i'll try to police it.
- Netflix just delivered The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I heard so many conflicting reports that i have no idea if its going to be good or not.
Andrew - I was certainly not disappointed.
Elias - Boosh series 3: Julian (the funny talented one) had recently fathered twins so a larger than usual portion of the writing was performed by Noel (the one who goes "o-o-o-h-h-h" and who girls fancy), possibly while inconvenienced and seeing how many embryonic gnat's fart NME bands he could cram in.
It was weird that BBC3 commissioned a third one so long after the second.
Hey! The PAL territories LOST season 4 box set is available to pre-order at amazon.co.uk!
Due out on October 20th and a snip at just the equivalent of $55.86 US
The Dollar's clearly improving.
Does everyone here know about I Can Has Cheezburger? They crack me up. Like this one.
Holli
I'd like to help you guys out with the spam problem on the forum--but I don't know how to fix it. I haven't been on...since never (well almost never, if you discount the ANTM chat)
I'll e-mail Aimee, and see what I can do.
PS> I'm in London, Gatwick Airport right now waiting for my connecting flight :D
£1 for 10 min of internet access goes by quickly. Catch you later blogspot.
PPS> I'm soooooooooooooooo tired
Wil Wheaton receives a black velvet Wesley Crusher portrait in the mail.
International Kim! crazy.
the BBS needs to have anonymous posting turned off. at least that's how it's been explained to me before.
Icanhascheezburger is making my day bearable.
yeah. that site rules. that and Stuff on My Cat.
/yeah, my cat's on that site
this is probably the kind of thing i should be doing as your netflix friend, but since i'm a terrible netflix friend, here it goes:
i really liked sarah connor chronicles (SCC), it was consistently getting better. i never saw any of the terminator movies so i have nothing to compare it to. some people don't like it, i don't know why, it's pretty action packed at times, i'm thinking season 2 will be way better now that they have a lot of the basic stuff explained so we'll get to the good stuff.
I found that SCC played to its strengths as a low bedget version of the same world.
Terminators are not just attack machines, but also infiltration units but are useless in this capacity if they get damaged enough to not pass muster as humans. The series takes this concept and runs with an 800 series Terminator reduced to its endoskeleton problem solving new ways of staying undetectable while also trying to recover its human disguise so it can go back to its primary objective, something that no film audience (even me) would have the patience to sit through.
There was something else I particularly liked, but describing it is hard without going spoily. So I won't.
Don't forget about Cats in sinks.
Chris - Boosh series 3: Cocaine. Apparently the pretty one has a pretty big nose.
It's (almost) Carnival weekend!
Hence my reference to him being "possibly inconvenienced". You're clearly more bold in your accusations :D
I did wonder what you were implying ;)
My take on the SCC is that I thought they took the story we know and expanded on the time travel stuff and the fact that more people than we expected are involved in protecting John Connor all through time. The scene in the bank vault was a really cool "Oh Shit" moment for me. I'm trying to stay away from too many spoilers here.
When they brought the whole 90210 thing into it I was worried, but it played very well.
I liked Summer Glau as the robot.I didn't realise how tiny she is until I saw her in this. Somehow she just looked "average size" in Firefly.
I really like Lena Headey but she kind of overplayed Sarah a little.
As a whole I liked it.
On the whole, I liked it too. The flashbacks/future stuff is fantastic as well as the slo-mo ending. Pretty brutal for tv.
YAY Violence!
i can't wait to hear andrew's take on it. he'll probably hate it. lol.
the upcoming season seems like it's gonna be even more violent from the promos i've seen.
YAY Violence!
Speking of violence I just watched John Rambo.
Wow! It was really over the top gore. The story was pretty lame, it was very predictible but true to the character. It ended his story on a good note finally.
I'm gonna have to watch SCC just for the fact that the bint from Garbage, i can't remember her name.... (AH! Shirley Manson!) is going to be in it. I love her.
In other news, the new Bloc Party LP is distinctly dire.
Oh and i finally got on dharmawantsyou. all that for a "putshapesintoasquare" game. jesus harry christ.
Steph - yes on the SCC ending. That's the bit I tried to write about in my previous comment but couldn't find a non spoily way to do it.
I thought it superb - inexpensive and stylish. It hints at a tremendously violent skirmish without actually showing it. Fine music choice, too.
I think they should cast all of Garbage in The Sarah Connor Chronicles. I want to see Butch Vig's flesh scraped away to reveal a metal skull beneath.
While also producing Negative Creep.
but the rest of garbage are all ugly and muntery. whereas shirley manson looks just over 30...
having already listened to the latest Cue The Music and left wanting some more musical goodness, i threw 3 of Jimmy's ol' Music Segments on the ipod this afternoon.
that is some quality stuff. really enjoyable while also being informative. everybody go back and listen to a few.
did make me miss a weekly fix of Giacchino score though.
Oh, what a fool I am. Butch Vig didn't produce Negative Creep - or any of Bleach!
Perhaps, instead, I should have referenced In Bloom. Do forgive me this slip in accuracy, this is what happens when I post at times when I should be asleep.
81% on the 5th try on the dharma puzzle game thing.
I hope I can get a job in the orchid station.
I'll probably get assigned to the arrow station in charge of holy books and glass eyeballs.
What would be a good dream job if you could work on the island.
Donkey wheel turner?

i can't wait to hear andrew's take on it. he'll probably hate it. lol.
ha ha. i know i can be a harsh critic, but i try to balance it by championing stuff i like. For instance, despite the eye-rolling junk in the beginning of Jericho, i'm now 19 episodes in and enjoying it quite a bit. :P
- I never cared for Butch Vig's sound, but i could tell that it was quite well done. When Metallica decided to be a rock band, they should have gone with him instead of Bob Rock.
- watch your fingers and toes blogspotica.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwNKxIgKP8
you guys catch this episode?
Why won't we get any 30 Rock for a month after the fall season starts?
Holli
THE casey donahue?
it was donahue, right? pretty sure it was...
anyhow, nice to see you drop by again. however, that link came up as a malformed URL in youtube.
speaking of youtube, at least at work, i get redirected to nz.youtube.com
weird.
- Sucks about 30 Rock, but its good to know we're getting more Eli Stone!
- My house has no electricity until Monday. (The Electroning? Outletting? Amishing?)
Nice site Alirio!
Glad to have been the impetus for you posting the Doctor Who trailer! :)
Andrew -
I'm now glad I read you're previous review on Jericho. I was going to rent the first episodes I hadn't seen (from begining of Season 1) but I think I'll just skip them - sounds like I'll have better memories of the show w/out them.
Also - sorry about your power outage Andrew. I think my official name for power outages is "suckfest"
UK variant is "bollocks".
As in
"Our lights just stopped working and the telly won't turn on"
"That's bollocks, mate"
I've found a neat countdown timer that let's you know how much longer until LOST returns.
You can see it on my new Web site (Shameless plug...)
alirio.ca
You'll also find Days 1 and 2 of my comic con adventure detailed.
Andrew, I'm taking your comments on Eli Stone as ironic.
- I was kidding about Male-y McBeal. I saw way too much of that show just because i didn't bother to turn the TV off after LOST.
- nice job on the blog Alirio, still get a kick out of seeing the Chinograph
I nominate this photo for the new thread. Or this. Really any from this set could work.

Wow, synchronized swimming. This one fascinates me because of this nagging little voice that tells me that foot doesn't belong to who I think it belongs to.
Heck - don't know about anyone else, but I'm still doing TLI logos.
Like this one
I predict that DHARMA logos will return to LOST next year. This is based on nothing.
I couldn't see anything Chris.
Trevor I think that foot may be another swimmer's. I could be wrong though.
Holli
Bugger - I did wonder if that would work. Sod it:
This One Will.
Doesn't have wording, though. Anyone who saw the last one with the amateurish scrawl will know I'm just doing this to amuse myself.
Locusts: The 8th Plague with a clean cut Jeff Fahey is on SciFi. couldn't force myself to watch for more than a few minutes.
the dude looks like Gil Grissom. crazy.

To tie up the Olympics, enjoy this Greg Louganis double header.

anyone else not get a new episode of the Transmission on the enhanced feed?
Not I said the fly. Maybe Ryan forgot to link it in again. Try Twittering him.
Holli
he's been twittered and it is now up for everyone to enjoy.
that's what she said.
steph!!!!
the krispy kreme donuts in birmingham are damned good!
my buddy just smuggled some up north for us while he was there for the weekend.
krispy kreme left the area a year or two ago. i miss it. :(
there are still krispy kremes? we lost all the ones here, so i assumed they were all gone. good to hear some people still get to enjoy/smuggle them.
Mmm. Chocolate covered cake doughnuts.
But more importantly- why in the world did your friend come down here?
If you aren't already, you should regularly check out The Big Picture from The Boston Globe. The photos are amazing, especially on my lovely iMac screen.
Steph, you should send this one in particular to MetroBuzz.
Holli
i didn't know about those pictures, holli. but now i'm sitting here looking at them in awe.
Apparently the US Men's Basketball team wasn't the only Redeem Team.

Yo blogspot. How y'all doing?
I've got like loads of work to do. bad times. But i've found out about this job on a website which i'm going to apply for... which would well be good.
Other good news. I have a date. eep.
he's got family down there. family which apparently dropped a loaded shotgun which missed his head but the butt end of which crushed his foot. or something.
fun!
ooohh!!! someone has a date! good luck and have fun on your date herlihy.
bad news for your friend, p. good to hear he made it out alive.
Living in the South is making my son's homework harder. In spelling he has to sort his words into long and short vowel sounds -- remember that? And last week he had the word "hang." Per the dictionary that has a short a sound, but I cannot make myself say it with an "a" not an "ay" sound. This week the problem is "pretend" which to me sounds like it has both a long and short e, but per the dictionary it says pre is pronounced with a short i. Thank goodness for the dictionary. Saying the word out loud is getting us nowhere.
Holli
- apparently there is some big LOST casting news. I'm trying to avoid it, but from the headline i read, i think its the sort of thing that's going to be common knowledge very shortly.
oh no! the hoppening has gone celebutard!
emphasis on the tard?
I looked for casting news and didn't find anything regarding new actors. I did see that MC Gainey is shooting an episode of Burn Notice currently.
wait... so DON'T run your foot along broken glass for fun?
yeah, avoid every website ever if you want to avoid LOST casting news. love how the headlines mention actor names and they put a big freakin' picture of the actor next to it without you actually having to click a link... blargh!
kind of cool news though. maybe.
They're still shooting Burn Notice? There are only 2 episodes left and they don't air for 3 weeks. US Open is on the next 2.

This has to be one of my favorite Joker's ever.

I can't seem to avoid the LOST casting news. I've hit it once on Twitter and 3 more times in my Google Reader. Gotta hit the Sauvignon Blanc harder to erase that brain cell.
Holli
I've heard of that wine but never knew how to spell it. I would have never spelled it like that.
First, Kim Kardashian is not invited to join the Hoppening. She'll have to start her own foot-afflicted group.
Second, Cake photo of the day.
Third, I'm supposed to go to a luncheon today and am not in the mood to dress appropriately. I hate that I have places to go that workout clothes or more likely shorts and t-shirt just won't do.
Holli
Holli, you really REALLY need this:
Hours of cakey fun.
How can Kardasian turn her foot injury into an amateur pornographic tape?
Seen it Chris. I think I posted it on the corrupt boards not too long ago.
Has anyone started bombarding Aimee with email or calls about the boards?
Holli
I believe the status of the boards now is that you need to sign in to post, which should deal with some of the automated spam-machines.
The spam already posted there does remain, though, so it's our duty to bury it in internet joy.
Oh, and whoever made that change - thank you loads! Now we need someone to save us from Rock Riddle!
"At least you're pretty"
Drug rep brought Krispy Kreme today.
Yay Albuterol!
Or
Yay kickbacks!
Delicious kickbacks.
i was watching that whole kardashian toe thing last night on TMZ and she made it seem like she had to have her leg removed or she would die. she went to the hospital in an ambulance. seriously?
Apparently despite the fact that it sounds cool to have this name it seems it isn't.
Holli
That sucks. It sounds like it is in fact a double-edge lightsaber.
Hey - I've got that exact figure they use on that story. He officiates at my Lego wedding!
is anybody else planning on watching Fringe? i think i'm gonna, i don't think it interferes with any of my other shows i watch.
I am totally planning on watching Fringe - have they announced it's timeslot. I'm so out of the loop!
Ally, i saw the pilot episode like three months ago, it was quite good. it has load of potential. Well, of course it does, it's by JJ. Joshua jackson was quite funny in it.
also, i saw the casting piece. i don't know what all the fuss is about to be honest.
I'm in for Fringe. There's nothing I watch on Tuesdays right now, so I'm excited there will be something to watch. Plus it starts in only a couple of weeks from now right? Sept 9?

I just had something really neat happen. A book publisher offered to send me an advance copy of a book because I had blogged a previous book by that offer. Looks legit at least. Let's hope so.

w00t w00t!
Hi Blogspot! I've missed you so much! *hug*
Just came back from holidays not long ago, and haven't been on much before that so yeah. Glad to be back though, and will try to keep in touch more.
Went to thru all the posts *fwew* and looks like there's:
* an ARG
* new logo discussion
* fun general banter
- Is the ARG any fun? Should I look into it? I've been getting those dharma mails too, but haven't pursued them.
- Can't think of a new concept for the logo right now. Chris is doing great though :)
That's quite cool indeed Memphish! Hope it works out for ya and that book be awesome.
Fringe premieres Tuesday, September 9th, at 8/7c on Fox.
http://www.fox.com/fringe/
oh, how I hate localized services! Can't watch the featurette for Fringe on Fox.com. Guess I'll see what I can find on youtube. From what I've seen so far it looks pretty promising. And It's JJ :)
Will definitely be picking this show up and let's keep our fingers crossed it doesn't get canceled after a couple of shows.
wesh, would a proxy site help you view that video?
anyone used http://www.ninjacloak.com/ ? looks like ninja proxy, eh?
fringe is worth checking out. looks like it could go either way though (bow chocka wow wow). it could either be a lot of fun or could descend into utter mediocrity. a lot funnier than i was expecting and i liked the three leads. and Abaddon. scary dude.
and Anna Torv is very good at killing you with a magic sword.
Take it Rock Riddle!

Welcome to Page 2.

bienvenidos a page dos.
that's so cool that most of us (those of us who have spoken so far) seem to be interested in this new show. we'll def have to start up a new thread over at the boards.
- You hear that? Rock Riddle is calling you out 'Lars!
Thanks Palmer! It looked promising, but the vid keeps loading and loading for 1/3 of an eternity. But it's ok, found the clip on youtube. Like you said, it could go either way indeed. I think I'll use the first episode as a benchmark, it needs to blow my mind and I shan't accept sub par acting :p The main cast looks pretty cool though.
