- watching my stories yesterday, i caught ads for True Blood. I was a big fan of Six Feet Under (although i'm apparently one of the only people that hated the ending of the finale), so I'm looking forward to this. The ad kinda made it look like an R-rated Buffy.
- i wish those DVDs would come out sooner than December. Since the season was significantly shorter, will these be cheaper? what sort of exclusive content will the blu-ray version have?

i blame the town... i broke my foot on my 18th birthday, after i had taken the train for 2 hours to get here, then i spent the rest of my birthday in a&e and suchlike. it was incredibly bad times. And three weeks of being back.. i hurt my foot again... woe.
Co-incidentally... There's a documentary about my town on Channel 4 on monday... 9pm. t's about the regeneration of the town...... all they've done is build a bridge. a bridge! a £4 million bridge. it doesn't even look nice.

I just finished watching Les Paul: Chasing Sound and recommend it. I only knew him by the famous gibson guitar with his name and not as much as a musician. I recognised lots of the songs but did not know who played them. It was really interesting.

P, I'm going to the pre-season game between the Buffalo Bills and Pittsburg Steelers when they come to Toronto next week. (Thurs). I'm very excited as it will be my first NFL game (even if it is a pre-season game).
I sadly won't have time for the tailgate at 5:30 as I'm working until 7pm (the game starts at 7:30!!!) I don't really know how the tailgate is going to work--they're not that big in Toronto. I'm SUPER excited.

- counter-programming = Sid & Marty Kroft's The Bugaloos which is way better than i thought it would be. There are all sorts of vinyl record references.
-i'm guess the Lost ARG was delayed a little when the website crashed. i am glad that the "spy" turned out to be an internet hoax. IMHO, last year's game was effective because it was straightforward and self-contained.

i've never been to an NFL game either. Tailgates are like a big deal here, especially when they have the big chilli cook-off. i've never been to any of that either.
i think i'll try to attend at least one game this year just to say that i have and to get the whole experience.

- kim, i'm totally jealous. Aside from some pizza shop & nightclub run-ins i haven't seen the mighty Stillers in person. pick a fight with the locals for me.
- Oz is very compelling. Last night i watched one of the episodes that i caught when it was originally airing; one about the cel phone. At the time i was annoyed by the artsy Harold Perrineau inserts, but within the series they make total sense and add a lot to the subtext of the episodes. Right now i'm on a disc-a-night schedule, limited by Netflix turn-around, which is probably plenty, but if i had them all in front of me, i'd just plow through.
