i feel like some of us let down the blogspot last week. we couldn't even hit 108 posts on an episode like 'The Substitute?' a locke-centric episode featuring smokey and island mythology? i guess the Canadians are exempt because of the Olympics.

Abbadon said it was an aneurysm. I kind of found it hard to believe since he acted like it was so hard to find her. Idk maybe she did die. just seemed like something that would have maybe kept John from wanting to even go back. And Charles is good with graves.

The alternate timeline is what would happen if the Losties never met Jacob.

...yes. the island got nuked and sunk. that's where Jacob lived.
so, he probably didn't visit them. especially not the visits to Sayid and Hurley which were in 2007.
but he could have visited Sawyer since that was in 1976 and the island got blowed up in 1977.
I thought that was the general consensus of the "flash sideways": what life would be like if Jacob didn't exist.
why was john teaching kids about the reproductive system?
I really have to agree with Palmer and Kim on this one.
We've been saying we hope the flash sideways don't turn out to just be a "What If the Island (Jacob) Didn't Exist" version of Lost.
Kind of like "What If the Courage of the Fearless Crew Was Not Enough and the Minnow Was LOST."
