Yeah, didn't feel like much happened for me either. And the 'hide the face' trick is really starting to get ridiculous. Twice tonight, I think, once for Christian, once for Ben.
And Radzinsky mentioned that they were in the process of building the Swan.
Guess Frank did land them on the runway. Sucks for the copilot that lazy Sawyer and Kate never finished the damn thing.
Sun smacking Ben might have been a little more surprising if we didn't already know that Sun and Frank left in the pontoon and that beat-up Ben stayed behind.
And I assume Sun didn't travel because a) Aaron, Walt, Desmond weren't there and so things were "unpredictable" and/or b) she's not needed in 1977. I don't really want to think too much about that. But I'm really glad Frank is with her (and not Charlotte!)

I agree with Holli. Good but nothing much to discuss.
I think Ben's mustard question was a coded message from Richard that Sayid failed. This Ben is definitely older than the one that first met Richard. I'm sure he'll report back to him.
I can totally see Sayid trying to kill young Ben. Especially with Daniel gone (where? how? when?) he'll find that a valuable idea to try.
Tonight solidified for me why we do not need Cesar and whatever her name is, I always get it wrong. I do not care in the least what happens to the 316ers other than Frank and Sun and Ben and Locke. Seriously, Smokey can take them all out now and we can move on.

I still can't figure out why the hell Sun didn't flash back with the other O6.
I don't think little Ben has met "all" the others. For that matter, I don't think anyone short of Alpert has.
How the hell did LaFluer have any clothes Hurley's size?
If the co-pilot knew of the Oceanic 6, and that Hurley was one of them, why didn't he recognize ANY of the other 4 that were on the SAME GODDAMNED PLANE? All together!
Could they make it a little more obvious that Ceasar knows a LOT more than he's letting on? "There's building over there, and another island. I think you need to get some new charts". O.K. Caesar, I'll run down to the nearest south pacific aerial photography cartographer shop and get some updated charts. wtf!
M/B/K (from tonight's episode only) Juliet, Kate, Sun
M: Juliet. Of the three, she's just the one that's "marriage" material. She's not always gonna run away, and she's the most likely to be faithful.
B: Kate. This was a bit of a toss-up b/w her and Sun. They're both pretty hot, and both a bit unstable (which makes both of them good in the sack). But what tips the scales in Kate's favor a bit is that she's probably got more experience than Sun, so she might show me something that I haven't seen before.
K: Sun. Process of elimination. I'd probably rather kill Kate, but I just banged her in the previous step.
Why don't we all just shout "kill jack, kill jack'" It is so interesting how people see things differently. Sawyer sticking it to Jack? The Hillbilly does go well with Juliet, but he is and will always be Sawyer. Maybe he did grow up a little more than Jack who was dealing with ghost dad and Krazy Kate. The Jack hate on this blog gets to me. He was our hero in the beginning, has done his best to help people along the way and will be our ultimate hero in the end.
If the previews for next week are not done to confuse us as they usually are, I'm done with Lost. I won't waste another moment on it.
Do you really care if Amy is Amelia? Why?
I have many other questions but will just leave this as my Jack hate rant.
sawyer and jack were both 12 year olds in that encounter.
but, yeah, not a jack hater either. i cut the dude some slack cuz he's either seeing his dead dad or is getting his mind messed with by kate.
not interested in the love square in the slightest though. after all, jack can trump sawyer with "i banged her two days ago after she abandoned her child."
uh ... Robert? Does someone have a little man-crush on Mathew Fox?
I didn't read anyone saying they hated Jack. I saw a little bit of "That's poetic justice", and "I liked Sawyer getting to tell Jack what to do", etc...
I think that for a lot of people, Sawyer is just a more likeable character than Jack. And for me, his "leadership" is a lot more interesting to watch than Jack's.
In my mind, Jack is just difficult to "root" for. The reluctant leader of season 1, "Oh, I didn't ask to be your leader". The Oceanic 6 "We've got to go back to the island" (even though I put lots of us through hell to get us off the island in the first place). To the current (1977) Jack, "What now? ... It looked like you were just reading a book" stfu, Jack. Just sit back and wait for your turn to be the ruler of the island, you undeserving little bitch.
- It's weird that the purge is supposedly bearing down on our Losties, when it's a good 8-10 years away.
- Little evil Ben definitely knew Sayid wasn't a "hostile"
- I do not understand Christian's character. I think the island is just bored. He made it sound like Sun & Lapidus are going to travel back to the 70s. Are they going to break the donkey wheel again?
This episode had a really weird feel to it, though... It had some cool reveals and Sawyer's verbal smackdown was great, but felt like something was missing...
I watched it a second time with the wife (because she missed it live), and I really didn't like it any better. I almost always like an episode better on second viewing, but this one didn't do it for me.
Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining! I love any Lost I can get. Something just didn't feel right...
I think the show has changed enormously. First thoughts were that I think Sawyer is a power hungry wanker who's not as cool really as we may think after we give it some thought! I enjoyed the cockpit sequence!
So the run down area where Christian talked to Sun and Frank...was that always there in that condition? I guess that wasn't the barracks, right? So that was just a place by the dock? Could they have just gone in there in 2004 and found the picture of themselves in 1977?
Ok episode. Nothing great. But it's LOST, so I don't complain.
One of the best closing statements before the "LOST" opening tag. Hurley, upon learning they time traveled back to 1977. "Uh, what?"
Sun was the woman with Frank. GRRR!! One, because it doesn't make sense for her to not flash with the other 815ers. But mostly because it confirms exactly what I hate about the Lost fan community. When a select few read spoilers and pass them off as "theories". I'm not accusing anyone here. All it takes is one person to do so on a different site, and for someone to read it and repeat on here. I'm sorry. No way does Sun not flashing with the others make any logical sense. And nobody would assume that was her unless they either read the spoilers or read people "theorizing" about it. Those people are lame.
Echoing the comments of others. Kate and Sawyer exchanging meaningful glances. UGH. Seriously? Aimee orgasms in our all faces.
Loved Juliet holding the baby, only to find out it was Ethan. And then promptly putting said creepy baby down.
Trevor is right. The "hide the face" nonsense needs to stop. Now. The 2 times from tonight brings the current season total to about 85.
Wait a f'n second. So the episode starts out with the 316ers crashing. Then we get a "3 years earlier" and flash to 1977. What?! That really confused me. I had to pause my dvr and stop to try and figure it out. 3 years earlier than what? Is it saying that the 316ers crashed in 1980? I don't think that is the case, but that's what it made it seem like. Or is it saying that the 815ers in 1977 are going to be around for 3 years before meeting up with the 316ers? Argh. Stupid Lost. My head hurts.
Jack Workman. Hahaha.
Speaking of Jack. Anybody notice how excited Jack was when Sawyer mentioned Faraday? "Faraday is here?!!!!! Yipee!!!" Jack looked like a giddy school girl.
Speaking of Faraday. Where the hell did he go, and what was Sawyer talking about?
Guess Sawyer wasn't kidding when he asked Juliet where his baggy shirt was.
Good episode - while no "holy shit" moments - moved the story along nicely
Highlights: - the plane crash-landing sequence - Little Ben and the mustardless sandwich (- could be a children's book) - is he a double agent already for Alpert? - Sun clocks Ben - Hurley: "Dude, you're english is awesome!" - Sawyer invoking Winston Churchill to tell Jack to chillax.
Speaking of which...
Robert - personally I have little doubt that this show's final episodes will include Jack playing a crucial role in the outcome of this 6-year, ultra-multi-faceted, multi-hero adventure. And, I agree that his primary goal (consciously) has always been to help the 815ers, but his relatively frequent stubbornness and self-destructive behavior off-island is hard to sympathize with after awhile. It's a bit of a broken record and I would welcome Jack ending the series really looking like a hero who has let go of his stubbornness and self-hate.
"I still can't figure out why the hell Sun didn't flash back with the other O6."
I was assuming it was part of the "unpredictable" results Ms. Hawking talked about if the conditions of 815 were not duplicated. She first said that the results would be "unpredictable" if Jack and co. couldn't get "everyone to come with us" - she then tells Jack privately that they/he needs to "recreate the conditions of the original flight"
This of course begs the question of whether Aaron and Walt coming back would have prevented this split.
Well that would make A LOT more sense. Thanks MB. Maybe I should've rewound. Would've been a whole lote easier than trying to make sense of something nonsensical.
I think Sun is still in 2007 because of her intentions. I think she would kill Older Ben the second she is together again with Jin, and if she was in 1977 with young Ben she would kill him too. If that happens, it would change too much of the future. Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sayid just wanted to get back to the island to help/see their friends whereas Sun wants to find Jin but also is probably working for Widmore.
It could also be the island putting people where they need to be. Maybe John, Sun and Ben have things to do in 2007 before doing anything else.
I'm guessing they did bury Jughead, by the Swan area and the Incident will be DI releasing that radiation. Which doesn't really make sense since it's magnetic, not causing people to grow extra heads, but hey, we don't have a lot of time left to connect the dots.
Robert, I think you take it too far with Jack hate. I don't hate Jack, but I do hate how since the middle of Season 3 he has refused to listen to anyone's ideas but his own. Seasons 1 and 2 he seemed like a reasonable guy. And, uh, what lives has he saved exactly? On Island everyone he touched, but BEN that bug-eyed bastard, died.
Didn't see him saving many people off Island either. Just the girl he marries from some warped sense of duty, or can dude just not get a date, and who he later stalks because he'd rather fix people than bang his wife.
The thing about Jack is that his character arc has been hero to douche without the return to hero yet. I think we're feeling about him exactly what the creators want us to feel at this point. Sawyer's arc has been douche to hero, though he was a bit power hungry in that last scene and is swinging toward patsy with those looks at Kate. And Locke, of course has gone from awesome to sucker to almost back to awesome to patsy to was that awesome? to dead to "live." I'm sure Jack will be redeemed at some point, but I wouldn't put it past him to need some giant screwup because of his jealousy of Sawyer to get him back on track.
LOST in that scene is the closest to any Stephen King I've read or watched (In all the bad movie's). Hell the door even blew open with a gust of wind(for dramatic effect).
Starting to rewatch. Another Jack is a bastard moment I'd forgotten was when Sawyer asked about Locke and was all ready to give him props for succeeding. Jack says it's not important how Locke died. He died because you selfish O6 bastards didn't believe him. Can't wait for Jack to see Locke again. Let the Jears flow.
I was swearing profusely at the screen when Sawyer was telling Jack to put the 70s clothes on and Jack gives Kate the look of "Should we do this?". I knew he was going to try and take over the leadership stuff as soon as he got back on the island.
Sawyer gave Jack a Janitor position, either to get back at Jack, OR if sawyer needs Jack to go on an expedition, who is gonna miss a janitor? I think it is a little of boat.
Ben saying "How would i know" to frank is getting a bit old. His over confident dickish brash comments are really getting old. "My mom taught me to read". he is so snooty.
Sawyer did not call Kate "Freckles". Sawyer is not being playful with her anymore.
And why doesn't the way Locke die matter to Sawyer. Jack needs to get thrown into the Dharma Pile along with Kate.
I guess they are saving Sun's reunion with Jin for later on. I hope they have a good explanation why Sun didnt travel back and all the other 815ers did.
Is the "Unusuals" commercials there just to throw us off the scent that Michael is coming back?
I'm thinking Christian saying to Sun and Frank that they have a bit of a journey ahead means they may have to leave and bring back the others that have not returned like Waaaaallllttttt and Aaron and possibly Desmond and maybe even Ji Yeon. And then one of them may have to die.
The Christian reveal I actually loved - I'm a sucker for silhouettes in a doorway. Although when the door burst open again, I though the Smoke Monster was gonna roll in and say "man, it's cold out there".
Sawyer may have given Jack the "this is my Island" smack, but note that Juliet = much more subtle. Getting Kate into a panic situation by not putting her on the register then saving her at the last minute in a way that lets Kate know who is in charge.
Good to see young Ben again - this time I found the casting to be much more spot on. I realise it's the same kid, he just seems to be more Bennish now.
Speaking as a large bodied chap myself, I do have to say that the idea of Hurley squeezing into a "baggy sweater" belonging to Sawyer to be possibly the most mind stretching Sci-Fi concept that this series has ever entertained.
Why would the characters' ageing be arrested by time travel? They'll still age at the same rate.
Oh, and also this episode made me very interested in a LOST-themed version of Resident Evil 4.
Yeah, that Christian shot was straight out of Evil Dead. Wonder what was up with the door blowing open, Are we to believe that The Smoke Monster is linked to Christian?
- Jordan, I was pretty sure that it was Sun & Lapidus immediately when the crashy said that "the pilot and the woman took off in a boat" (although i'm now wondering how the crashy knew that since Sun, Ben & Lapidus did some jungle treking without announcing their intentions. Only explanation i've got is that whoever that was spotted them in the water) I promise i didn't know any spoilers (the only spoiler i've known this season was the promo shot of Kate & Sawyer in their Dharma jumpsuits, which i got an eyeful of when i went to that The Misfit Is Here site). My explanation is that the the who's and why's of the time-fuckery has been pretty inconsistent across the board. Why would Sayid end up in a totally different place on the island from Jack, Kate & Hurley? Why wouldn't Ben, Locke or Lapidus jump to the 70's? Why is Juliet jumping but not the rando Others. Also, I had a feeling that Jin & Sun would be seperated by time since, as a wife & husband team, they seem destined to be apart.
- I'm pretty sure that the place where Sun & Lapidus met Christian was the Otherville where Ben sicked smokey on Keamy & his squad. The geography of the island is often writerly convenient.
- i saw on the AV Club forum for the episode that people caught a woman behind Sun in that scene with Christian. People are trying to decide if it's dead-Charlotte, dead-Claire or some crew member who didn't blend into the dark as much as she thought.
- Radzinsky is a good compromise between being an unimportant Dharma dude that sort of answers the non-mystery of who he is and could be tossed aside without any big kerfuffle, but also has a bit of importance in that he helped design the Swan. I wish he was more Patchy and less Frogurt though. LOST writers should avoid introducing any more intentionally annoying characters.
- so Dharma drugs their sub passengers too, is it just a security precaution to keep people from finding out the whereabouts of the island or are they using non-submarine means to get to the island?
Holli - i really like your idea that Sun & Frank have to go get everybody else. I just assumed that they would turn the donkey wheel and their "long journey" was hiking to the Orchid and then time-fuckery.
- no more dumbhanced episodes? "Better Off Ted" was funny enough. I like Portia de Rossi. and the dude who plays Phil.
Sorry for the spoils on The Misfit - I didn't realise they were there when I linked to it.
As for the 316ers knowing about the pilot and a woman leaving on a boat - clearly they have tried to round everyone up, found unconscious Ben, seen the evidence that one of a number of boats is missing, and (at least) the pilot is missing. Ilana talked to Sun so may realise that she is no longer with them. Ergo, they reach the conclusion they did: QED.
The co-pilot recognises Hurley because he is the most distinctive-looking member of the Oceanic 6.
maybe Frank and Sun brought Ben back and said a coconut fell on him. and that's why they knew that Frank and "a woman" left and why Ben is in the barracks sleeping off his time with an oar.
Christian absolutely WAS in the post-smoke-attack Barracks. Sun and Frank pull up at the submarine dock, and you see the broken down induction hall, seen in pristine form earlier in the episode.
Which begs the question - why did The Others leave all those signs up for the couple of decades they lived there?
Holli - totally agree with your hero-douche story arcs analysis. You said what I was trying to say.
'Why would Sayid end up in a totally different place on the island from Jack, Kate & Hurley? Why wouldn't Ben, Locke or Lapidus jump to the 70's? Why is Juliet jumping but not the rando Others."
Don't know about Juliet, but I really think the dispersion of the O6 + Ben is just going to be explained by Cuselof as part of the "unpredictable" results Ms. Hawking talked about. They mentioned that unpredictability earlier (before Hawking said it) in response to a fan question as well. In turn, this could bring Walt, Aaron, and even Ji-Yeon back into the show since perhaps they were supposed to return (like Holli said - the 2007ers may have to go get them) - but this might be even more speculation than is warranted.
/"Ride, captain, ride On your mystery ship Be aware of the things Others just might have missed"
Remember in LaFleur that our Time Fuckers are at New Otherton/The Barracks which they can't leave due to sonic fence, and get to have a nice sit down at the submarine dock.
I know you're thinking of that first shot of the place in S3 where you see that it's nowhere near any body of water. Welcome to "make shit up as you go along" land.
I'm not sure about the reason for the general state of decay of New Otherton + the beach camp. I suppose it could point to a huge storm or something, but 2-3 years can erode man-made things quite a bit when nature is left to her own devices.
Andrew, I don't think anyone here intentionally masks spoilers as theories. But I am positive that people on other sites do. I can see how somebody could guess that Sun was the woman with Frank. But it was nearly universal around the net that people thought it was her. And I'm just too cynical to not know that something like that likely originally started with a couple spoiler douches. All it takes is a couple spoiled douches on a couple sites to sway popular opinion.
Speaking of douches, the guy who told everybody in the ustream chat a couple weeks back that the baby was Ethan was right. DOUCHE.
And if the spoiler that said douche pm'ed to me turns out true (something I now fear it will), I will hunt whoever you are down and piss in your mouth and force you to swallow. I think I've made my last visit to the ustream chats.
Yay college basketball! The next two days are my favorite holiday of the year.
I don't know about the SCREENCAP supposedly showing Claire over Sun's shoulder. I need to watch the actual video again - the person over at AVclub.com says the person's head moves.
I think the extra person in the cabin is part of the production crew who just didn't get airbrushed out of like 1 frame, and of course, LOST nerds found it.
Othersville is within easy walking distance of the sub pier as evidenced by Locke and Alex's stroll there in Season 3 as well as Juliet and Jack's arrival for the explosion. I guess the recruits needed shuttle drivers to deal with the after effects of the drugs. Strange the Hostiles didn't keep any of the DI vans running. Too tough on Ben?
Jordan - Totally agree about said ass-wipe on the ustream chat. It really pisses me off when people who enjoy spoilers seem to think that that knowledge is a power trip and use it to screw others. Especially when there ARE people who go out of their way to enjoy the information while not spoiling others. You f**kfaces cause a lot of stress and anger, nothing else comes of that behavior.
Google Maps Street View has now got massive bits of London in it. I''m taking the opportunity to have nostalgic walks around Eltham from my computer.
Also, on our road there is a crazy lady - the kind who hoard trash, builds big fences around her house and yet is perfectly friendly. Not only that, she's out and about at all hours pretty much looking for busted crap to take back to her house.
Why I mention her? Cos if you go to the road I live on in Street View, there she is!
Furthermore, the reason it was Sun and not one of the other O5 who didn't flash is because she is the one most likely to fulfill whatever journey Christian will give her so that she can reunite with Jin. None of the rest of them have that sort of motive. That Island ain't so stupid after all.
somwhere near 5:45am on sunday. so get up early!! i am thinking i will record it on my end, then post it on the dharmalars feed. Then, that will probably the last thing posted on that feed.
I got a call from Dre this week, which i think would be the perfect way to end the Dharmalars, once and for all.

Lost!
Hostile paddles, 1-hit knock out every time.
Nice to see Sun pull a Ben on Ben.
Nice to see Sawyer giving Jack the verbal smackdown on his leadership skills.
Not so nice: the meaningful glances between Kate and Sawyer.
Sawyer sticking it to Jack is pure gold. Sawyer's puppy dog looks at Kate make me want to puke. Sun with a paddle to the head of Ben makes me wish she'd bashed him a few more times.

I don't remember Amelia from the book club. I tend to think that the random Others that we've seen were single-episode creations.
The Jay & Jack listener was right, I bet! Amy = Amelia.
Will those who traveled back in time not begin to age again until they reach 2004? Is this the key to Richard's timelessness?
My head hurts.
I wonder about the aging too JBD. 3 years with adults it's too hard to tell. We need Waaallllttt!
Holli
And I assume Sun didn't travel because a) Aaron, Walt, Desmond weren't there and so things were "unpredictable" and/or b) she's not needed in 1977. I don't really want to think too much about that. But I'm really glad Frank is with her (and not Charlotte!)

Also, one more thought:

I guess that would mean that a young Lapedis is also on the island in 1977... though that seems less plausible.
DAMMIT! Ethan!? Back to the drawing board.
Note: by "flashed to 2007" I meant "crashed in real-time". :)
Amelia, if I'm remembering correctly, was played by the lady that was in The Creature from the Black Lagoon. And also the character's name is an homage to Amelia Earhart.
I agree with Holli. Good but nothing much to discuss.
guess Ethan got his looks from his dad then, eh?
he's fucking brutal looking for a 27 year old. how old is William Mapohahahhaahther?
imdb says born in '65.
Hey, hey, lets not dis people born in that year.
Holli
/old
i'm bitter cuz the gal pal totally called that the baby is ethan a few weeks ago. :p
i told her that the baby was way too young. i'm still right about that. but she's right about it being Ethan.
Maybe Ethan left the Island on an aging heading, and Charlotte left on a de-aging one.
Holli
oh. and it's been three years you miserable bastards. get the fuck over each other.
stupid kate, sawyer, juliet, and jack.
I think that if you travel in time, you still get older. So maybe Ethan was time travelin' for 15 years or so.

Holli
those poor 316ers are stuck with asshole Ben and crazypants Locke.
Pierre Chang's baby is Sun.
Interesting Steph except in the Comic Con video Chang clearly says "him." Maybe he/she left on the sex change heading.
Holli
Jack's a Janitor, Kate's in the Motor Pool with Juliette and Hurley's the Chef!
Who the hell came up with these assignments?
Jack - pure poetic justice (courtesy of the Sheriff?)
Kate (so's that Juliette can keep an eye on her?)
But Hurley - wow, seems kind mean, and not a fun kind of mean like the other two are.
It's obvious that Sawyer has done a lot more maturing in the last 3 years than Jack. I loved his lecture to the Dharma Initiative's newest "Workman".
I still can't figure out why the hell Sun didn't flash back with the other O6.

M/B/K (from tonight's episode only) Juliet, Kate, Sun
That's easy.
Kill Kate. Kill Kate. And Kill Kate.
M Juliet
she can cook and fix cars?! also, she's not a crazy beeyotch.
B Kate
she's a crazy bitch. but she's cute.
K Sun
one guy she slept with fell out a window. the other guy got blown up on a raft and then blown up on a freighter.
Kind of a slow night at the old blogspot.
Guess that's what happens in a mostly character-development driven episode.
Not a lot to theorize about tonight, eh?
Palmer - I agree with some of your reasoning.
Here's my answers:
I'd probably rather kill Kate, but I just banged her in the previous step.
how'd we all like Radzynski?
and why do the Dharmateers let a kid bring a mustardless sandwich to a prisoner?
WHERE WAS THE MUSTARD?!
and where was the dude from Bionica Jones and FNL??? banging the Geronimo Jackson off of Rosie's t-shirt, that's where!
Why don't we all just shout "kill jack, kill jack'" It is so interesting how people see things differently. Sawyer sticking it to Jack? sawyer and jack were both 12 year olds in that encounter.
but, yeah, not a jack hater either. i cut the dude some slack cuz he's either seeing his dead dad or is getting his mind messed with by kate.
not interested in the love square in the slightest though. after all, jack can trump sawyer with "i banged her two days ago after she abandoned her child."
Thank you, Palmer, the one voice of reason on this night.
All that saving lives makes him a real scumbag, Eh?
Robert
uh ...
And no, I don't hate Jack. But he is a bitch.
new Sawyer seems a pretty good leader. but they were both tools in their interaction tonight.
"you never thought three years ago. i think so i'm better than you."
"make a plan up now, i demand it!"
neither of them could just man up and huddle on what to do next.
- Marry Amy, Bang Ilana, Kill Kate
- It's weird that the purge is supposedly bearing down on our Losties, when it's a good 8-10 years away.
- Little evil Ben definitely knew Sayid wasn't a "hostile"
- I do not understand Christian's character. I think the island is just bored. He made it sound like Sun & Lapidus are going to travel back to the 70s. Are they going to break the donkey wheel again?
of course, we can blame both of their douchiness on... kate. :)
Amy and Ilana (sp?) both seem like they might be interesting characters.
prolly wont be but they have potential.
Was it just me or did Lapidus' voice in the first half hour sound a lot like Christian Bale's Batman???
Oh, Jack the Janitor... FUCKING AWESOME!!!
...and what the hell was Sawyer talking about when he said Faraday wasn't there anymore... Where's Daniel?
I thought this episode was awesome!
Loved little Ben and his shout-out to Jay and Jack's RambleCast days... ;-)
Ketchup vs Mustard was a classic debate.
If I see one more person's face hidden when it CLEARLY doesn't make sense for it to be, I am going to flip out!
I find I'm having trouble getting thoughts across in anything more than 140-character bursts... anyone else???
Did anyone catch the name Ilana said when she woke up after the crash? Rewound it and couldn't figure it out.
"Is that a runway?" Awesome.
Highlights:
- the plane crash-landing sequence
- Little Ben and the mustardless sandwich (- could be a children's book) - is he a double agent already for Alpert?
- Sun clocks Ben
- Hurley: "Dude, you're english is awesome!"
- Sawyer invoking Winston Churchill to tell Jack to chillax.
"Wait a f'n second. So the episode starts out with the 316ers crashing. Then we get a "3 years earlier" and flash to 1977. What?!"
The graphic actually said "Thirty years earlier"
Oh - and forgot to include the highlight of finding out that the Swan is being designed by Radzinski in '77.
have they buried Jughead yet?
The graphic actually said "Thirty years earlier"
And where the hell are Rose & Bernard?
-LT Smash
Holli
New Othersville really goes to crap once all the Others/815ers leave, eh?
Maybe cuz Keamy blew some of it up. Oops.
I'm sort of hoping that Amy ends up being taken to 2007 with our heroes so she can put her '24' skills to good use and shoot some terrorists.
Unless the show is going to end in '77 but I doubt that. They've got to get back to the present... Right?
Here's a photo of your friends:) IN THE 70's!!!.

DDK has a special Secret of Lost for Aimee.

I'm hating Jack so much right now.
I was swearing profusely at the screen when Sawyer was telling Jack to put the 70s clothes on and Jack gives Kate the look of "Should we do this?". I knew he was going to try and take over the leadership stuff as soon as he got back on the island.
Also, is TLI recording tonight?
Holli
I want to shoot Radzinski in the face right now!
Resi 4
Namasté
Ka-BLAMO!
Oh, and Ilana upon waking up - I thought she just said "Jarrah". Anyone?
Which begs the question - why did The Others leave all those signs up for the couple of decades they lived there?
i'm so confused on JizzIsland Geography.
New Otherton is in the middle of the big Island. right? rightish?
the docks where the sub was is NOT near there, right?
ok. sorted it all out, i think.
Sun and Frank are where Locke blew up the sub. but not the ruins of New Otherton.
i think...

Palmer -
I'm pretty sure that the sub dock is nearby New Otherton, which is where Frank and Sun meet Christian in 2007.
Holli
Jordan -
Totally agree about said ass-wipe on the ustream chat. It really pisses me off when people who enjoy spoilers seem to think that that knowledge is a power trip and use it to screw others. Especially when there ARE people who go out of their way to enjoy the information while not spoiling others. You f**kfaces cause a lot of stress and anger, nothing else comes of that behavior.
sorry - rant over
Hey bloggers, NO TLI live show tonight. We're recording on Saturday instead.
WHY IS SUN IN THE PRESENT? SOMEONE EXPLAIN IT!
I forget Kim - is that 6pm Saturday?
Sun is in the present because Kate didn't bring Goober and Locke didn't want to put Walt through anymore and Ben kept Desmond away.
Holli
MB, probably around 2-3pm. 11am-noon your time.
Cos if you go to the road I live on in Street View, there she is!
for the second time today - I'm going with what Holli said :)
Furthermore, the reason it was Sun and not one of the other O5 who didn't flash is because she is the one most likely to fulfill whatever journey Christian will give her so that she can reunite with Jin. None of the rest of them have that sort of motive. That Island ain't so stupid after all.

Speaking of Ustream shows, be sure to listen to me LIVE on the Jay and Jack 25 hour podcast.
when you on, foo'?
why is it a 25 hour podcast? surely a 24 hour podcast would make more sense.
somwhere near 5:45am on sunday. so get up early!! i am thinking i will record it on my end, then post it on the dharmalars feed. Then, that will probably the last thing posted on that feed.
I got a call from Dre this week, which i think would be the perfect way to end the Dharmalars, once and for all.
