I think if you listen closely, you can hear tumbleweeds, drifting across the blogspot.
i know. i'm still waiting for someone to kablamo the 42nd post in the last thread!
i finally submitted my LOSTies vote. and if everybody else forgets to, then my crappy votes WIN.
Consider it done. Previous thread kablamoed.
Re: Jordan's comment on the last thread, I have been picturing Ken Leung as Tony Chu every time I read it.
is Chew good? currently, i'm reading trades of Invincible, Walking Dead, Green Lantern and the others, Batman, and Captain America.
i also need to finish Volume 3 of Madman. especially since i got Mike and Laura Allred's signatures at Comic Con a couple years back (thanks, ralph!).
Chew is cramazeballtastic; I'm so glad the snooty-british-comic-book-store-guy recommended it to me. Now that I've finished all the Walking Dead TPs, it's my favorite. Plus, the guy who makes it is a Lost fan, and puts little easter eggs in the background, so it's extra fun.
I read the first two issues of Chew, i liked it a lot.
I've read every issue of Chew. It's great. Very funny. The first arc was better than the second. But it's great no less. It's currently on it's third story arc. The first two are available in trade.
And I got the Ken Leung idea from the creator of the book. He mentioned it himself in his letter column. I added Josh Holloway as his partner simply because of the chemistry the two had as cops in the flashsideworld. Read the book, and tell me that wouldn't make for a fun show.
I can't seem to find #11 of Chew anywhere. I'm effing pissed. I have #12, but refuse to peek at it. It's selling so well, no one can keep them in stock.
Ehhh. Just ordered #11, #13, and #14 online.
stop the presses! i'm working on my LOSTies votes right now.
Don't let PalmerEldritch win uncontested!
amen, andrew. who knows who i've nominated for what? will Bai Ling win for hottest female? will Zoe win for best new character?
you'd better vote... OR ELSE!!!
Not gonna lie. I voted for Eloise Hawking to be Hottest Female again.
/I'm actually lying.
//I voted for Jacob's mother.
///Also a lie.
We are getting some good votes in; hopefully they'll keep coming. I think we're going to record sometime next week, so make sure you send yours asap!
It's only fitting that the last episode of TLI will take place in Boob Awareness month.

Still don't have season five, brah.

I totally know that dude who's serving up spaghetti tacos. He's my friend Jerry. I will have to ask him about them.

new netflix app on ps3 tomorrow. should be ridiculously cool. and probably will be on XBOX by the end of next month.
Ugh! Josh Holloway has season one Sawyer hair in MI:4. Gross.
PS3 Netflix app is pretty slick. Now I just have to get my Netflix account turned back on.
Just refreshed my iTunes... Probably the greatest TLI ever.

Laughing!
Happy skanky dress up day!
Walking Dead premiere tonight!
Anyone watch Walking Dead? I thought it was great!
yeah. it was bad ass. CGI blood was humorous until i got used to it. make up and writing is pretty great.
not convinced on some of the cast choices though.
Like who? Besides his disappearing Southern accent, I thought the dude who played Rick was pretty good. The guy who played the neighbor with the kid was great IMO. I hope they give him a more prominent role than his character had in the books.
Yeah I saw Walking Dead and thought it was pretty good. Pretty much everything in the pilot was in that comiccon trailer though, so I am looking forward to episodes that haven't been ridiculously advertised.
i'm still wary of Sarah Wayne Callies from the last couple of seasons of Prison Break. she was good in the first season though.
just threw a Walking Dead (TV) thread on the BBS
BBS? What's that? :P
I'm with you on Sarah Wayne Callies, P. Having watched all of Prison Break for whatever reason. I hear you. Let's hope they keep Lori's character to a minimum.
season 7, the zombie season.
How funny would it be if we saw zombie Nikki and Paulo walking around in the background?
Yeah, i am getting pretty tired of CGI blood
The Walking Dead has been the only bright spot for me this TV season.
Walking Dead was really good again. I liked it more than the Pilot
Conan tonight... Should be fun
The emptiness of this place makes me sad.
Same here Alex. We need to do something about it.
Oh, and a full 13 episode season 2 of The Walking Dead officially ordered by AMC!
Awesome! Has anyone read the comic book? I sort of want to but I think I will enjoy the show more if I know absolutely nothing about whats coming up.
I've read it. All 78 issues and counting.
It's really great. I'd recommend this to anyone. Even if you don't like or have zero experience with comic books.
It's like a really good tv show. It's compelling, and always leaves you wanting more. I've always compared it to Lost for people unfamiliar. There is a big bad terrible scenario in play. A rag tag group of strangers is forced to group up in face of adversity. But ultimately, the biggest threat ends up being the people themselves.
If you want to remain 100% spoiler free, you might want to stray away from the books. But I'm not exactly so sure how closely the show is going to follow the book. So far, the pilot was dead on, straight out of the book. But the 2nd episode was just about 100% organic and didn't take place in the book. In the book, Rick meets Glen, the Asian guy, and they get out of there and head back to their camp.
enjoying The Walking Dead.
also enjoying The Tail End podcast. good job Beth & Ralph.
Cool maybe I'll read it this winter when I have a little more free time.
cool story, bro.
