Ya know, the ads I've been seeing on hulu for seasons one and two on blu-ray has me wanting to rewatch.
my homework for this week is to watch the entirety of Season 1?!
who else is going Ghostbusters crazy today?
so... $20 off if you buy two seasons of LOST on Blu-Ray on Amazon and then a $20 mail-in rebate per season???
so, if i want to upgrade my Season 1 and 2 DVDs to Blu-Ray, i could do so for $40?!
can anyone confirm this rebate thing?

Palmer, I believe the rebate requires the proof of purchase tab from a previous DVD set, a receipt for the Blu-ray set dated between 6/16/09 & 6/16/10, and the rebate slip from the Blu-ray set. But it's a limit of one per household, so you won't get $40, just $20. You can get around that by using another address and name if you know someone that'll cash the check for you.

Not to take the focus off the big re-watch. But here is some interesting info that suggests that Christopher Nolan has far from decided to direct the next Batman movie. Apparently his plan was for Heath Ledger to reprise his role of the Joker. Which makes a lot of sense given how things ended with the character in TDK. And supposedly Ledger's death really did a number on Nolan. The article goes on to say that as of now, there is no story for a third film at all. And that it might not even come out til 2013. So we can all pretty much forget about it for a while. That all said, if Nolan was to return for a third film. Would you rather he stick to his originally intended story arch and re-cast the Joker, or come up with something new?

Just finished season 2 of Mad Men. Great show. Such a pleasure visually. Not to mention extremely compelling character work. Can't wait for season 3 in August!
Mad Men is awesome. I love ALL the female characters, they're great. I think the show looks fantastic too. There are a few characters that I hate, simply hate and have few redeeming qualities. I'm also looking forward to season 3

Kim, were you underwhelmed by last night's performances? I suppose each routine can't top the one before but no one really stood out. I'm crushing on Ade, Max, Jason, Jonathan and of course Phillip. I'll be surprised if Kayla and Phillip aren't in the finals. I just realized there aren't as many hard core hip hoppers as last season.
Does that mean you're adding more boyfriends to your list?

- i had planned to do my LOST homework last night, while also slogging through the ton o' work i've got this month. Instead, Pittsburgh was hit with flash flooding everywhere, and i spent the night wet and stranded on a bus, and then home without power. So, I read by candle light and ate pierogies, just like Abraham Lincoln.

I was like Lincoln for about 10 minutes last night. Every time the power goes out I panic. The thought of having to sleep at night without air conditioning is horrifying.

Seriously. The two dudes are in love with each other. This is the 4th Scorsese film Dicaprio has been in (The Departed, The Aviator, Gangs of New York). And if that's not enough, they are planning on buddying up yet again for a film about Teddy Roosevelt. I ain't complaining or nothing. As they're both more than solid. Just, get a room already. lol.
Jordan, Leo is Marty's new Bobby Deniro. When I heard about the awesome cast I was really excited about Shutter Island. But after seeing the trailer, not so much. Not interested in seeing Scorsese do horror. And after being in love with Leo all this time, I think I might be bored with him. Either I'm realizing he's not the great actor I thought he was or he's not as good as he once was. He's always Leo to me these days.

So I watched the first ep of Band of Brothers last night. Ross was a real dick. Man are there are ton of familiar faces in the cast. Even if they aren't as well known as some, it's like, "I don't know where I know that guy from, but his face is familiar."

The podcast Aimee and I did...well, let's just say that it might just stay LOST. We recorded a podcast--then half of the audio was LOST. So...I don't know...We didn't really talk about anything special. Just about the Lost Re-watch schedule, etc.
Speaking of the Lost Re-Watch... is in it's first week. I'm in between episodes right now. When do y'all want to sit around and talk about it?

BTW, just got back from seeing "Drag Me to Hell" and all I can say is wow!
Sam Rami did an amazing job. The score, set design and special effects were some of the best I've seen in a horror movie in a long time.
I think it's nearly on par with Evil Dead... I'd love to see Raimi ditch Spiderman and focus on more on movies like these again!
