There's nothing lame about someone wanting my podcast, as far as I'm concerned.

Regarding Jimmy's "less is more" take about scoring, I just recalled something that someone said on Studio 60. "No comedian you admire has ever been afraid of silence."

after a shitty night i am excited for this

Listening to Jimmy's music bit again I am reminded once more how every time "Life and Death" reminds me of another song. I don't know the title, but I think it's a Gemco song and the chorus is something like, "One and one and one and one makes four like that." Does anyone know what I'm babbling about?

Ben & Ralph, please tell Ryan that I said thank you.

Thank you? For what?

aimee is lost said...

For getting antsy in your pantsy and stepping up to the mic to about the flashback.

It was my pleasure. I was shocked when I heard Ralph start talking about it. We're usually on the same page about most things.

Ralph certainly had a few bees in his bonnet over this episode, but overall, I enjoyed it. There were more reasons for me to like it than to dislike it.

Ben - it's the Hall and Oates song called "One on One".

Aimee - i can honestly say that this was the first time that i was really disapointed in an episode of LOST. this does not mean that i hate the show. I would still rather watch Further Instructions than an episode of The War At Home.

Sayten - sorry man some times you have to wait a little bit for the show to make it to iTunes, but it will get there eventually.

Mike - thanks for backing me up on the last blog thread. i hope that your shitty night does not include a softball loss, cause that would suck. there is always next week!

Ryan - i was never on the same page with you when it comes to a lot of things, for example i like John Lennon and George Harrison whereas you love Ringo and Paul.

Oh, and Ben there is a cue from Michael Giacchino that sounds like the Genesis song "Tonight, Tonight, Tonight". You know how i like to sing to scores. well those are my two favorite LOST songs to sing.

i will try to find the Cue that matches up with the Genesis song.

Quick note about the similaries of "Life and Death" it uses the same chord prgression that a lot of songs use.

Most notably to me "Hallelujah" by Jeff Buckley. The Chorus specifically.

Its a C major to E Minor change. Except in both "Life and Death", and "Hallelujah" they are in different keys.

Great Show guys, you guys are bringing on the Awesome in the Podcast World.

Enjoyed the episode guys. I'm definitely looking forward to next week's.

I think a better ending to your mentos commercial would involve the angry guy (we'll call him Rolph)looking out from inside the gas station only in time to see the mentos addict (we'll call him Boner) funneling the last few ounces of a 3 liter diet coke into Rolph's gas tank and then cramming a whole roll of mentos in. As the gasoline/diet pepsi mixture begins to shoot out of the gas tank like a geyser, Boner sets it ablaze with his lighter (which conveniently says "The Freshmaker"). As he's running away, he gets a glimpse over his shoulder of the gas station becoming a errupting into a towering inferno. Then he looks at the camera, and gives that cheesy mentos smile with a roll of mentos in hand.

Dharmalames!

Not funny, Ralph. Not at all.

Ralph, I think Associated Films needs to film that Mentos commercial ASAP!!

If I were any less motivated today, I would be... peeing into a cup in my room so i didn't have to walk all the way to the bathroom.

How is that for motivation aimee?

Great podcast again guys. It made my drive home from college good. And we won the softball game and everyone asked about the shirt. i am trying to put together the greatest picture ever and i will send it in when its taken.
PS the thong is thongtastic!!!

aimee is lost said...

Good one Mike, that pretty much sums it up. I'll even give you an exclamation for that, even though I'm almost not motivated enough to type it.

!

There you go.

Season 3 needs to have an episode with that title. At least they'll have a better chance of the title being relevant to the story.

I have it under good authority that Craig & Ryan are currently being held hostage by Cliff J. Ravenscraft. But you didn't hear that from me.

My brother became the first of the current generation to introduce a brand new Jellyman into the world last night! A 'Jellybaby', if you will. His name is Ethan Anthony Jellyman. I know Lost isn't real, blah de blah de blah, but he watches the show! My first kid's name is going to be Henry, or Juliet, just so that we can create our own little DHARMA project...

I haven't listened to the whole show yet, so you might mention this by the end. But did you know that there was a Fido Dido video game on Genesis? You should check it out.

Also, we used "Miracles" on an episode of the Scott and Steve Myokom Hour. Weak, DramaLosers.

Big news for other UK Lost viewers out there. Its moving from Channel 4 to Sky One, and Season 3 will begin airing next month!

Only trouble is people who don't have Sattelite or cable aren't going to be able to see it...

Is there access to the ABC online episodes in the UK? Is there a similar service over there? How about from iTunes? It would be a shame if you missed out on season three.

Ralph- said...

sorry craig, i should have know about that but i just needed to put in music that fit my mood

the Ravenscrafts have some serious issues. If you haven't been listening (and i can understand that), you should definitely check out this weekend's episdoe (episode 50). They lose their shit over someone saying he loves their podcast but maybe they shouldn't spend 5 minute talking about moving the microphone.
i'm sure they get a lot of nasty internet flame crap, and maybe that was the final straw, but their reaction is nuts. "Love languages," daddy issues and all.

Scott and Steve said...

That was Dylan who made the comment about the music. By the way, he wants us to call him "Japanese Pete" for some reason.

Why doesn't Cliff edit out every time he coughs!!! Who wants to hear that??

Check out the promo pics. Looks like a totally different episode than we saw. I guess the reason they swapped this with Ballerina is because they needed more time to change it. I can't help but wonder if I would have liked the original.

Also, I never thought it was strange that Hellen read the obits. I read them all the time, probably because of my occupation.
