Dr. Marvin Candle used a different name in the observation orientation film.

Regarding the website on Hanso's commercial: www.sublymonal.com (tip: it doesn't work on AOL; use internet explorer!)

okay, once the site loads, you'll see 6 tv screens in a circle, and in the center it says "obey".

Click on obey, and they spin around. There is one screen you can click on (your cursor become a hand instead of a pointer) click on that 4 times. Then the screens move counterclockwise. Click on the next one 8 times, then the next one 15 times, and so on til you've done each of the numbers

Another screen loads, and it's a little green screen, and in the middle it flashes "Code:" "Heir Apparent", and on the bottom of the screen it says "sublymonal message unlocked". If you click below where it says this, it's a link to the Hanso website

A Google search for "Heir Apparent":

Available at Amazon.com:

The Heir Apparent (Guardians of the Flame, No 4) (Paperback)
by Joel Rosenberg

Hey.......wasn't one of the stations on the diagram called The Flame?

Hey.......is that a number 4???

I don't think that was the ?

It couldn't have been. Because it was a numbered hatch. And i really don't want to believe that the button was for nothing. on the official lost podcast they both said that it would be lame if they pushed it the whole season and nothing happened?

did anyone see the preview for next week? or should we not talk about what was on there.

And please try to get all the eppisodes avalible that would be sweet.

I read the Guardian of the Flame series a long time ago (15 or 20 years ago). It is about a group of Fantasy Role Players that get sent into the D&D/fantasy world their characters inhabit. They are transformed into their characters, and are forced to live the lives they had imagined for themselves. If I remember correctly, the over-all gist of the stories was trying to correct all the terrible things they had done (as players) in a world they created.

I thought it rocked when I was ten. Now? Probably not so much.

on a side note...

AMERICA SUCKS. Chris was the best part of American Idol. Did anyone else see the look on simon's face when chris lost tonight. I thought simon might flip out. And paula was just pilled out like always so she sorta cried because she lost them or something.

Poor Hurley. Poor, poor Hurley. Incidentally, it turned out many of those spoilers were in fact foilers. I read all of them before the episode and they all seemed pretty plausible.
When Eko and Locke found the pearl hatch i was sort of hoping they'd be able to get surveillance video and see that Michael is kind of an asshole now. Did we already know that the orientation film is from 1980?

aimee is lost said...

yes, the Swan orientation video was also dated 1980.

Chris Daughtry was my favorite, and while I was upstairs watching Lost, my husband & brother ran upstairs to make fun of me because he was voted off. At the time I was so wrapped up in Lost that I didn't care, but now I'm so pissed off that I probably won't watch AI anymore. The show is totally bogus, and I'm pretty sure now that it's fixed. How could the same group of people (America) be so flabbergasted at his getting voted off, when they (America) are the same people sending in the votes? What other logical conclusion is there, other than the show is rigged, and the votes aren't even used? There's NO WAY more people in America would choose Elliot Yamin over Chris Daughtry; how could he have received more votes?

Okay, I'm done.

Good link with helpful (if not spoilerific)info, for those into the Lost Experience game:

http://www.thelostexperience.com

There's tons of stuff there. 3 of the 9 Gary Troup interview clips are there. They also list the bad websites, not officially affiliated with the game.

AI, real quick...

Elliot gets the sympathy vote...

McPhee gets the Babe vote...

Taylor gets the popular vote...

Chris gets shafted simply because no one would assume he would have been turfed, so no one votes for him. Most people vote for who they consider to be an underdog of sorts. My theory...sure to be blown apart somehow.

Can I just add though, that how can an alternate rocker singing about angst and injustice and real life have any credibility with his own base if he actually won AI? I think he was done a favor in a way.

Lost:
Good episode. I'm about to dash off to a training so will add more. But I liked the way Locke is starting to question the Island. Unfortunately the moment Libby coughed up blood I thought "Oh yeah, she'll croak out the words "Michael", and they will smile and say "He's alright, Babe". Then death. Much like a scene in 24: Season 2

And once again, an American is felled by a foreigner with a headbutt! Don't you guys ever learn? :)

I agree with Josh on this one. Love Lost as much as any of us, but I cannot see myself devoting too much time to the "Experience".

aimee is lost said...

Jimmy, those are fighting words! But you're probably right.

Josh, don't state the obvious. The people in this forum aren't that dumb. Whether or not it has anything to do with the story line of Lost is irrelevant. It's something people can enjoy, regardless of the Lost creators' intentions. I've never taken to playing video games, but I do enjoy logic puzzles. It's just an alternate form of entertainment for people like me.

Stop being a buzzkill and just enjoy the ride, or just get off.

I think its kinda fun. Interesting that they have decided to delve deeper into the Hanzo Foundation. I don't have enough time to figure out the clues with all the numbers and what they mean. But i think its cool to see the web site melt every now and then

Welcome back Ralph!

I finished reading The Bad Twin last night (and subsequently began reading Cell by Stephen King that gave me more zombie dreams last night). The Bad Twin was a very good book, and I'd recommend it, even to non-Lost fans. Sex, drugs, twins, Hanso, Widmore, Paik, murder, intrigue, Cuba, Australia - it's all there.

If anyone wants some spoilerific details, email me at aimeenoto@aol.com

i am filming tomorrow for my video podcast, and i will be stuck doing that. i am still keeping my fingers crossed for MYOKOMw/CA? to come out. i will talk to Ben tonight, and see what he thinks!

Did anyone see the Special Thanks to The Hanso Foundation, in the end credits to MI:3?

aimee is lost said...

I haven't seen MI3, but I'm not surprised, given the J.J. connection. That's pretty cool though, especially for someone to actually catch it. Not many people sit and watch the credits, unless it has bloopers or something in it.

Ralph- said...

well you can imagine what it looks like. the movie was really fun! if you like spy shit, than it is the movie for you. alls i have to say, is that i have been having nightmares of Keri Russel's eye!

If you download the latest HOT 99.5-Lost Talk on iTunes they have an interview with JJ Abrams.

aimee is lost said...

Does J.J. even have anything to do with Lost now? Lately, Damon & Carlton have been all the rage.
